Description
The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
4th Session
42nd Parliament
A
I'm
talking
about
seniors
men
hockey,
it
has
been
an
exciting
year
with
the
100th
anniversary
of
the
koi
Cup
Championship
being
hosted
in
quinellen.
I
would
like
to
congratulate
all
the
teams
and
volunteers
that
participated.
I'd
like
to
take
the
opportunity
to
congratulate
the
Cornell
kangaroos,
the
2023
BC
seniors,
double
A,
provincial
koi
Cup
hockey
Champions.
A
The
ruse
won
the
championship
on
home
ICE
against
their
Central
interior
Hockey
League
Rivals,
the
Terrace
River
Kings
in
front
of
a
sold
out,
West
Fraser
Center
audience
members
of
many
kangaroos
teams
in
the
were
in
attendance
with
their
vintage
kangaroos
jerseys,
saying
that
never
before
had
we
seen
such
a
large
crowd
before
the
kangaroos
franchise.
It
was
an
exciting
night
at
first
I
have
to
admit
we
were
all
a
little
nervous
when
the
Terrors
took
the
early
1-0
lead,
but
there
was
no
sense
of
folks
because
it
was
alicio
Tomasetti.
A
The
team's
Captain
Who
lit
the
lamp
first
for
the
ruse
breeding
the
capacity
crowd
to
its
feet.
Thomas
City
wasn't
done
and
he
potted
another
only
a
few
minutes
later
to
make
it
2-1
for
the
hometown
team.
The
kangaroos
played
strong
in
the
third
then
added
to
their
lead,
making
it
a
score
of
6-2
fans
were
excited
at
what
felt
like
what
was
going
to
happen.
A
Winning
the
trophy
in
our
own
Community
fans
were
excited,
winning
the
trophy
it
was
Paul
garudet
scored
the
Rue's
seventh
goal
that
the
fate
of
the
river
Kings
was
sealed
with
no
time
for
them
to
have
a
comeback
when
the
final
Buzzard
sound
of
the
score
was
9-2
for
the
ruse
and
utter
joy.
For
us
all,
the
team,
the
volunteers,
hard
work
paid
off
for
this
tournament.
Many
challenges
it
was
exciting
to
win
the
2023
koi
cup
home
in
Cornell.
Congratulations
to
all
involved
well
done.
