Member for Richmond North Center. Thank you, Mr Speaker. It is my pleasure to rise today and wish all British Colombians that celebrate the Lunar New Year, A, prosperous and joyful year ahead. The beginning of the year of the rabbit was marked on January 22nd and it's widely celebrated by Chinese Korean, Vietnamese, Singaporean, Malaysia and many other communities in our Province.

My colleagues and I in the visit liberal caucus had the privilege of attending some BC's largest celebration, such as the annual countdown at the Aberdeen Center in my riding of Richmond North Center, and the Vancouver Chinatown parade our visit to Vancouver Chinatown business Improvement, Association, Vancouver, Chinatown, Merchant, Association, small businesses and Community organizations during and after this celebrations also give us some insight into the serious work that needs to be done done to revitalize communities such as Vancouver Chinatown could have been suffering from the consequences of the toxic drug crisis, rampant crime and a deeply chubbering rise in anti-asian sentiment.

We must reaffirm our commitment to making BC, vibrant and successful Place built on its foundation of diversity and acceptance as a shadow Minister for multiculturalism, anti-racism initiatives us and culture I would like wish to I would like to wish all of you a happy Lunar, New Year and as the year of rabbit symbolizes one field of Fortune with an agility.
