matter

we
did
notice

Neighbors

Apple

surrounding
area,
and
we
provided
proof
to
the
board
in
electronic
and
hard
copy.
The
proposed
the
proposal
for
you
is
a
home
enlargement
for
a
single
family
home
which
is
existing
with
a
seller
for
a
second
and
attic
floor.

itself
is

has
a
lot
area
of

feet
with

of

an

The
Proposal
would
have
an
enlargement
at
the
rear
and
Western
Wall
of
the
building
at
all
floors
at
the
cellar
first,
second
and
attic
level.
The
proposal
or
the
existing
home
has
a
floor
area
of
2426.

us

rear
yard
as
opposed
to
trying
to
cut
off
the
48
feet
at
the
back.
So
within
this
area
there
is

front
yard

the
first
floor,

inches
at
the
second
floor
and
at
the
attic
and
we'd
be
maintaining
that
the
rear
yard

home

feet
at
the
ground
floor

feet
at
the
second
and
the
attic
levels.
These
side
yards
are
straight
line:
extensions
of
the
existing.
We
have
an
existing
side
yard
of
six
feet.

undersized,
the
actual
requirements
is
not
13,
because
it's
an
undersized
lot.
So
we
are,

we're
entitled
to

straight

what
would

required
based
on
the
narrowness
of
the
lot
the

can
go
to
the

would

us

the
attic
level
next
slide,
please
would
be
enlarged
so
that
it
can
provide
for
an
additional
two
bedrooms
and
bathrooms
with
a
small
family
room
for
the
children,
so
the
house
itself,
we
believe,
is
within
the
context
of
the
character
of
the
neighborhood.

there
are
a
number
of
BSA
approvals.
There
are
three
behind
our
property
that
has
that
have
20
foot
rear
yards,
we're
asking
for
20
foot
at
the
first
and
25
at
the
second
and
third.
We
actually
think
that
the
rear
yard
condition
would
be
an
improvement,
because
much
of
the
rear
yards
in
this
area
are
encumbered
or
crowded
with
garages
and
the
garage
at
the
rear
of
the
building
which
is
existing
is
proposed
to
be
demolished,
so
you'll
actually
have
a
larger,
cleaner
rear
yard
than
otherwise.

yards
as
mentioned
would
be
straight
line.
Extensions
of
the
existing
condition,
maintaining
eight
feet
between
properties
between
the
two
houses
on
between
the
houses
on
either
side
and
with
regard
to
far
again,
we
within
the
area
there
are
no
less
than

approvals
on
this
within
a
400
foot,
radius,
five
of
them
within
the
immediate.

policy
is
to
encourage

public

matters

committee
meetings

at

hearings
consequently
accept
by
board
members.

will

no

regular
monthly
meeting
of
matters
about
which
a
public
hearing
or
a
committee
meeting

been

we
had
a
fruitful
District
service
cabinet
meeting
last
Wednesday
on
the
7th,
with
all
of
our
agency
cabinet
members,
special
thanks
to
superintendent,
Rob,
McKenna
and
Deputy
inspector
Bruce
separano
for
joining
us
throughout
that
meeting
and
adding
a
lot
of
really
important
details
from
sanitation
as
we
move
into
snow
season,
and
you
really
feel
it
that
tonight
that
we're
moving
into
snow
season
right
I
wanted
to
I'm
not
doing
it.
I
want
to
note
the
change
on
the
community
boards
calendar.

The
70th
Precinct
Community
Council
will
be
on
Thursday
the
22nd.
It
went
out
with
the
the
typical
last
Wednesday
of
the
month,
so
we
did
update
that
date.
So
you
update
that

you
get
there
on
the
right
day
because
it
will
be
the
holiday
party.
So
you
don't
want
to
miss
that
and
then
a
quick
shelters
update
the
long-awaited
and

sort
of
long
promised
Community
Advisory
board
for
the
women's
shelter
at
one
Kenilworth
Place
is
supposed
to
be
named
or
or
begin
this
month
for
an
early
cab.

member's
office
will
help
us
make
sure
that
it
does
get
done
because
it
was
supposed
to
be
done
at

the
Inception

that
shelter,

we
want

community
involved

expressing

they
have
about

area

contributing
to
to
the
well-being
of
that
shelter.
Then
the
long-awaited
Men
Shelter
under
a
place
is
still
doing
its
punch
list.

fit
coming
to
completion,
so
we're
now
looking
at
about
a
February
opening
for
that
shelter
and
I
spoke
to
our
liaison
at
Department
homeless
services.
Today,
who
promised
that
we
would
have
a
preliminary
stakeholders
meeting
so
that
Community
Advisory
Board
doesn't
go
on
pause
that
it
that
it
starts
even
before
the
shelter
opens,
because
it's
a
sensitive
area
and
we
want
to
make
sure
the
stakeholders
are
in
touch
with
each
other
and
that's
all

as
an
update.

the
first
time

usually
obviously
you'll
see
me

gonna

what
I
said

the

other
day

the
early
community
board
meeting,
but
there's
any

answer
you
the
year

about
to
end
in
couple
weeks
the
7-0
precinct.

So
when
it
comes
to
the
seven
major
overall
crime,
we're
definitely
bucking
the
trend
in
this
in
the
city
with
crime
and
violence
as
follow
as
far
as
the
Brooklyn
South
borrower
at
a
13
bar
precincts,
we
are
number
one
in
crime
reduction
in
the
whole
13
prisons
in
Brooklyn,
South,
there's
really
nothing
that
I
can
add
in
regards
to
any
any
patterns
or
trends
that
I
could
add
in
regards
to
Crime.
The
only
thing
I
can-
and
it
is
a
couple
days
ago
we
had
a
pot.

We
had
a
hate
crime
on
East
14th,
Street
Avenue
J
on.
Unfortunately,
there
were
a
few
Hasidic
men
there
walking
down
the
street
past
midnight
Friday
into
Saturday,
actually
early
Saturday
morning
and
a
group
of
perpetrators.
They
approached
the
Jewish,
the
Jewish
men
and
said
Jews
get
out
of
here
and
and
not
displayed.
It
displays
a
taser
and
the
noise
was
made,
and,
unfortunately
you
know
the
the
acidic
men
had
to
run
had
to
run
away.

I've
been
on
the
phone
with
inspector
Iris,
he's
the
hate
crimes,
task
force,
Citywide
commanding
officer
and
they're
pulling
video
from
all
types
of
locations.
So
it's
you
know
it's
a
work
in
progress.
We
have
good
good
video,
good
images.
We
had
a
meeting
also
with
the
borrower
command
of
Brooklyn
South
Chief
McAvoy
as
I
on
the
last
meeting.
I
just
told
you
it
was
if
whoever
missed
the
meeting
the
other
day,
we
had
a
change
of
leadership
with
the
NYPD.

Really.
Obviously
we're
involved
the
police
officers,
but
we
can't
do
it
without
the
Partnerships
that
we
have
in
the
community
with
you,
whether
it's

organizations

we
deal
with

know
that's
why,
literally,
when
I
got
this
command,
I
said
my
phone
was
on

7
and
I
mean
it.
You
know
I
and
I
expect
my
NCO
offices
and
sergeants
to
have
that
same
mindset.
So

addressing

you
about

that
burglary
pattern,
that
that
was
a
city-wide
pattern
where
it
was
a
an
actual
organized
crew
that
was
was
doing
burglaries
and
houses
with
that
method,
which
is
very

not

A
very
rare
occurrence,
most
like
I,
said
most
burglars.
They
commit
burglaries
when
you're
at
work
and
they're
not
confrontational.

don't
want
any
confrontation
with
people
these
individuals,
because
they're
so,
unfortunately
they're
so
violent
and
so
organized
they
were
going
to
people's
houses
in
the
middle
of
night,
while
they
were
sleeping
and
checking
Windows
of
houses
and
stealing
thousands
of
thousand
dollars
worth
of
stuff.

really
quick,
quick,
wallets,
jewelry,
Keys
cars
from
the
keys
and
you
know
and
leaving
we
made
an
arrest
with
help
of
a
flapper
showroom.

Patrol
there
were
two
individuals
arrested,
one
is
out,
but
the
main
guy
that's
in
is
the
ring
leader,
and
you
know
we
flooded
the
area
where
this
was
happening
and
thank
God.
They
haven't
hit
in
Brooklyn
South
since,
but
what
you're?
Referring
to?
Unfortunately,
it's
that
it's
a
lot
of
substance
abuse
going
on
and
it's
substance,
abuse
users
that
are
walking
up
and
down
streets
and
literally
just
pulling
door
handles,
and
if
it's
open,
they're
going
to
get
in
and
they'll
either
steal
the
car.

people
leave
their
key
fobs
in
there
or
if
there's
a
wallet,
a
lot
of
people
leave
it

they
forget
their
wallets

their
bags

laptops.

even

crazy
stuff,

really
I

mean

Advocate
that
a
public
bank
for
New,
York
City
will
serve
as
part
of
a
broader
vision
for
economic
and
racial
Justice.

quality,
affordable,
Financial
Services
to
low-income
and
immigrant
communities

color
by
partnering

consensus
that,
based

New
York
State,
open
meeting
law
general
meeting
should
be
conducted
in
person
in
order
to
reach
a
binding
decision
and
commit
a
meeting
shall
remain
remote

maximize
public
engagement
when
there
is
no
longer
a
declaration
of
state
city
or
state
or
city
emergency
in
place.
Committees
shall
refrain
from
voting
on
recommendations,
but
rather
they
will
seek
a
consensus
among
those
in
attendance
and
it's
okay.

those
board,
members
in
attendance
shall
continue
concurrent
with
any
declared
or
renewed
state
of
emergency,
and
at
such
time
where
there
is
no
standing
state
of
emergency,
a
recommendation
among
board
members
shall
be
reached

consensus.

Brooklyn
community
board
14
will
endeavor
to
add
hybrid
options.

full
board
meeting

only
if,
additional
funding
is
provided
to
support
this
purpose
adopted
procedures
regarding
attendance
forum

voting
rights

board

hybrid
video
conferencing
shall
be
followed.

just
want
to
reconfirm
something
so
the
fourth
paragraph,
the
last
bit
of
language
that
says
a
recommendation

board
members

that
it
doesn't
mean
we
all
need
to
re
agree
unanimously
on
the
business
before
the
board.

all

agree
on
the
question

opposed
so
it,
but
you
can
also
modify
the
question
in
your
committee
to
reach
consensus.

think
it's
a
matter
of
we're

help
sort
of
guide
this
process,
so
it
makes
a
little
bit
more
sense
when
we
get
to
that
point,
but
right
now
we're
still
in
a
state
of
emergency,

committees
can
function
as
they
have
been

ahead.

meetings

doesn't
require
these
General
board
meetings
to
happen
in
person,
but
because

emergency

might
expire

point,
we
want
to
pass
a
resolution
getting
these
General
board
meetings
to
happen
in
person.

there
isn't
like
a
last
minute
shakeup.

function

state

emergency,

we've
already

did
that

June

now
we're
modifying

to
conform

monthly

bi-monthly
basis,

always

our
calendar

with
basically
saying
this
is
how
we're
going
to
do
it.

the
app
basically
says:
okay,
we're
going

commit
to
reducing
our
emissions
by
40
by
2030,
and
they
didn't
say
how,
and
so
the
CAC
has
been
stuck
trying
to
figure
out
how
to
make
it
work.

we've
got

bunch

exceptions

way

the
top
complaints
amongst
all
the
vga's
and

boards.

they
even
have

rat

it
seems
to
be

Legislature,
governor
hulkel
and
the
state
legislature
passed
a
benefit
expansion
for
older
adults
for
the
Medicare
Savings
Program,
so
for
over
40
years,
older
adults
with
incomes
between
fourteen
hundred
dollars
and
around
two
thousand
dollars
a
month
have
been
locked
out
of
public
benefits
and
Governor
hulkel
expanded
the
benefit.
There
are
300
000
people
Statewide
eligible
for
approximately
seven
thousand
dollars
a
year.

So
if
you
know
an
older
adult
they're
paying
their
Part
B
premium,
which
is
going
to
be
165
a
month
next
year,
this
program
pays
for
it
there's
no
limit
on
assets
or
resources.
So
it's
all
just
about
accountable
income.
There's

the

the
president
of
the
Medicare
rights
Center.
We
champion
this
effort
and
we're
helping
people
enroll,
so
I
just
encourage
you
if
you're
located
within
non-profits
community
centers
elected
officials
office.

that

know
are
eligible
for

People
don't

about

half
of

last
70th
Precinct
council
meeting,
we
discussed
how
the
redistricting
redistricting
process
has
expanded
our
district
into
more
of
the
70th
Precinct
community
board.

and
the
council
board
applauds
the
work
of
having
the
most
continual
rate
of
decrease
of
index
crimes
across
Brooklyn.
For
those
who
are
not
aware
all
of
our
lines,
we
have
all
leave
all
redistricts
city
and
state
I
believe
it
was
State
first
state
senate,
then
State
Assembly.
Finally,
the
city
has
finally
done
this
redistricting.

The
final
map
will
be
going
out,
January,
no
it's
already
out,
but
it
will
be
beginning
January,
1st
of
next
year,
so
our
lines
have
slightly
changed.
We
have
shifted
more
into
the
community
board
14
area,
as
I
mentioned
her
Plaza
in
its
entirety,
I
I
believe,
yes,
yes,
so
we
did
lose
a
few
neighborhoods.
We
did
gain
a
few
more
so
there's
benefits
and
there's
a
few
benefits
to
this
redistricting
process.

are
still
collecting
donations
of
choice
because
we
will
be
hosting
a
holiday
party,
December,
19th
and
23rd
for
our
local
shelters
and
it
will
cater
to
our
silee
population
because,
as
you
guys
are
probably
aware,
we
have
received
an
influx
of
Asylum
Seekers
coming
into
New
York
City,
especially
District
45.
We
have
the
highest
population
and
that's
it
for
my
for
me.

black

coupled

panel
discussion,

included
council
member

Joseph,

we
had
conversations
around
how
the
Menthol
industry
has
been
targeting
black
communities
and
how
we
can
come
together
as
a
community
and

multiple
neighborhoods
and
excuse
me
different
audiences
to
make
sure
that
we
are
just
staying
healthy
from
making
this
a
public
health
issue
and
then
just
doing
more
doing
more
to
just
protect
each
other
and
look
out
for
each
other.
In
that
way.
That
event
was
in
partnership
with
the
American
Heart
Association.

we
will
be
having
our
one
of
our
final
events
for
the
year
is
going
to
be
an
arts
and
culture
Roundtable
at
lips.

it's
going

at

o'clock.

assembly
member
