I'm proud to announce that GE aviation will expand its two locations in Asheville and West Jefferson with 146 new jobs.

2013 we were standing on pile of dirt over on Sweden Creek Road talking about our planned expansion. The main reason was the culture and the people and the technology. Well, it's the same thing. Four years later, this.

Is a project that will increase wages in our local workforce, create new jobs and enable the creation of a new generation of aviation engines that are more efficient will make our country more economically competitive, while cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
