Us
pray,
gracious
and
loving
God
I
ask
the
presence
of
your
Holy
Spirit
on
this
meeting
blessing
these
leaders
and
community
members
with
insight,
wisdom,
impartiality
and
respect
for
one
another,
so
that
the
same
gifts
and
spirit
would
extend
into
this
community
of
Black
Mountain.
May
we
all
recall
that
our
work
and
all
we
accomplished
in
this
life
is
to
the
service
and
calls
of
the
people
we
love
and
the
communities
we
live
in.
We
ask
all
these
things
through
the
grace
of
the
Spirit
that
calls
us
into
love,
amen,
amen,.
A
F
A
This
I
was
going
to
do
this
slot,
see
the
slides
first
for
adventure
and
we'll
thank
everyone
for
the
fireworks
and
then
we'll
everybody.
That's
alright,
okay,
so
just
some
brief
announcements
before
we
swear
in
our
new
board
members
and
recognize
our
outgoing
board
members
for
their
service
just
last
week,
I
want
to
thank
everyone
from
the
town
of
the
community
for
all
the
hard
work
in
the
preparation
of
the
4th
of
July
festivities,
especially
down
on
State
Street.
A
We
thank
police
and
fire
public
works
for
everything,
they've
done
and,
of
course,
all
the
citizens
and
vendors
for
making
it
such
a
great
time.
We
want
to
give
a
special
recognition
to
our
sponsors
of
our
fireworks.
This
year,
black
mountain
savings,
keller
williams,
cnk,
printing
gutter
works,
literature,
water
escapes,
SunTrust,
Bank,
wise
insurance,
shipper
of
mark
Clive,
DDS,
Ingles,
Greybeard,
Realty,
Wendy's
valley,
truck
service,
alderman,
Larry,
Harris,
civil
design,
concepts,
precision,
graphics
and
parameter
generation
control.
A
We
thank
them
for
their
generous
donation
and
making
sure
that
everyone
of
all
ages
had
a
good
time
on
the
4th.
In
addition,
just
a
couple
of
other
people,
I'd
like
to
recognize
like
to
recognize
Rick
Harwood
for
yet
again
throwing
us
a
great
barbecue
for
the
people
of
the
town.
I'm
told
he
served
over
1900
plates
on
the
force
and
from
everyone.
I
spoke
with.
They
had
a
great
time.
C
A
Now,
with
that
done,
we
will
go
ahead
and
recognize
the
outgoing
boards
and
commissions
from
this
past
year:
oh
I'm,
sorry,
Thank,
You
Angela,
and
this
coming
Thursday,
the
13th
or
12:30
to
1:30.
At
the
Lakeview
center
there
will
be
a
meet
and
greet
and
ice
cream
social
where
everyone
is
invited
to
come
and
speak
with
the
mayor
and
Board
of
Alderman
and
express
whatever
concerns.
A
You
may
have
and
learn
a
little
bit
about
what
our
role
is
and
and
what
we
do
for
the
community
and
what
you
feel
free
to
voice
what
we
can
do
better.
We
always
appreciate
your
input
mountain
again,
that's
from
12:30
to
1:30
this
Thursday,
the
13th
at
the
Lakeview
center,
the
upstairs
portion
right
there
adjacent
to
the
community
pool
all
right
and
recognition
of
outgoing
board
members.
A
A
We've
got
Deborah
Whedon
for
6
years
of
service
on
the
ABC
Board
Chair
of
ruffles
for
his
service
on
the
Greenway
Commission
Theresa
Hawaiian,
six
years
on
historic
preservation,
Pam
north
and
six
years
on,
the
Planning
Board
Don
McNay
Hill
six
years
on
recreation,
Peter,
Warner
three
years
on
recreation,
ray
Nightingale,
three
years
on
recreation,
Bob,
politics,
five
years
on
the
CBA
Andrew
Wagner
five
years
on
urban
forestry,
Ron
McKuen
three
years
on
urban
forestry.
So.
B
A
G
A
Members
swear,
and
so
we'll
have
everyone
come
up
here
and
we
will
do
your
uggs
and
officer
this.
So
we've
got
James
Austin
is
joined
abc1
any
Parker
is
to
agreement.
Richard
Isley
join
green
legs,
migraines
on
plain
work:
Lynn
tell
Colonel
planning
board
John

urban
forestry,
chaired
until
I
heard
the
car
three
Jack
and
Drummond
on
early
archers,
Rebecca
Harris
for
the
video
Robert
Osmos
husband
on
the
Zoning
Board
adjustment
and
we're
at
with
first
officer
so
I
get
animal
calculus.
A
J
H
F
D
H
D
I
J
A
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
once
again
for
everybody's
willingness
to
serve
on
these
committees.
It's
a
it's
a
true
testament
to
the
sense
of
community
that
we
have
here,
everyone
that
volunteers
their
time
to
make
this
a
little
bit
of
a
better
place,
and
we
appreciate
that
service
and
we
take
the
time
to
do
that.
D
A
I
do
and
just
as
a
reminder,
citizen
comments
are
three
minutes.
This
opening
session
can
be
about
any
issue
that
you'd
like
to
discuss
within
the
community,
and
if
there
is
anyone
that
has
not
signed
up
there,
it
will
be
another
section
once
we
get
to
the
public
hearings
in
just
a
little
bit
further
in
our
agenda.
But
to
start
with,
we
have
Ron
Rios.
K
Rios
3/14
Chapel
Road.
Thank
you
so
much
my
wife
and
I
moved
here
in
1996
and
we
attended
st.
James,
Episcopal
Church
and
most
of
y'all
will
be
aware
that,
just
over
a
year
ago,
there
is
a
tragedy
in
a
small
town
outside
of
st.
Paul
Minnesota.
At
that
time,
officer,
Geronimo,
Yanis
and
phalangeal
Castile
had
their
lives
changed
forever.
K
K
K
But
the
point
was
we
were
going
to
do
something:
to
try
to
make
sure
that
people
don't
have
broken
taillights,
one,
it's
better
for
Public
Safety
and
we
were
able
to
prevent
anything
like
that
from
happening.
Total
six
months
put
them
in
six
weeks.
So
what
we've
done
is
if
we
form
a
small
group
and
we've
tried
to
come
up
with
four
things
that
we
could
do
to
to
make
this
happen
quickly.
So
first
thing
we
said
what,
if
we
gave
people
a
coupon,
they
could
get
it
fixed
for
free.
K
It's
not
that
they're
expensive,
but
if
you've
ever
tried
to
change
one
they
could
it
could
be
a
task
since
we
don't
do
it
very
often
in
that
they've
gotten
more
difficult,
so
bill
McGee
at
Black,
Mountain,
Tire
Center
agreed.
He
would
provide
all
the
labor
for
anyone
who
needed
to
tell
a
change
if
they
brought
a
coupon.
So
we
generated
a
coupon
in
each
of
y'all.
Have
a
coupon
in
your
folder
and
the
coupon
says
we
have
a
burned
out
pay
light
call.
This
number
make
an
appointment.
Mr.
K
McGee's
people
will
change
it
and
we
were
able
to
do
this
because
the
number
of
people
were
able
to
make
donations
to
us
in
time
and
talent
as
well
as
financial,
the
graphics
printed.
The
coupons
for
us
fly,
mountain
Auto,
Parts
agreed
to.
Let
us
put
a
mirror
on
one
of
their
storage
facilities
and
you'll
see
a
picture
in
your
folder
where
you
can
back
up
and
see
if
your
tail
light
rail
tail
light
so
hard
to
know.
K
If
you
have
one
burned
out,
and
so
that
way,
you
can
look
in
your
rear-view
mirror
and
check
all
your
lights
and
they
have
coupons
available
their
coupons
at
the
library
coupons
at
the
police
station.
We
met
with
lieutenant
Austin,
who
was
supportive
and
allowed
us
to
do
that.
We
have
them
at
st.
James,
Episcopal
Church.
We
have
them
at
George's
detail
shop.
So
when
he's
detailing
a
card,
if
he
noticed
the
taillights
out,
he
can
give
a
coupon
so
anyway,
I'm
not
asking
for
anything
from
y'all
except
to
know.
This
is
what
we're.
L
L
The
town's
response
to
me,
when
my
was
blocked
from
access
to
my
home
seven
months
ago
was
I,
should
move
I,
don't
plan
on
moving
and
I
don't
plan
on
getting
hurt,
walking
on
down
that
road
or
I
mean
I
love
bill
over
at
Black
Mountain
Tire.
He
replaced
four
of
my
tires
and
said
it's
your
road!
That's
why
you
had
to
replace
these
tires
when
we
prayed
together
when
we
reunited
together.
She
spoke
with
insight.
L
Wisdom
and
impartiality,
why
is
Black
Mountain
bungalows
need
to
not
pave
this
road
because
he
doesn't
want
to
spend
the
money
more
important
than
the
safety
of
the
citizens
on
West.
Keesler
I
really
really
want
to
know
that
if
you
all
are
okay
on
this,
then
I
don't
want
to
see
you
all
sitting
here
anymore.
L
I'm,
just
I'd
like
at
my
whip
end
on
I.
Just
don't
understand
why
I
can't
live
on
a
safe
road,
because
some
contractor
wants
to
tear
up
the
road
for
his
own
personal
gain,
and
not
only
that,
but
for
three
years
I
believe
he's
been
in
violation
of
article
5,
section
20
203
lots
to
be
kept
clean
of
high
grass
or
weeds
exceeding
12
feet.
He's
got
weeds
taller
than
me
and
has
for
three
years,
and
he
drives
up
there.
L
I
I
What
work
came
back
in
the
city
of
Black
Mountain
had
that
left
of
my
Fred
yard,
with
a
bush
bush
shop,
type
machine
cut,
down,
rhododendrons
and
no
trees,
I
didn't
have
any
vines
they're
already
like
creeping
things
and
I
caught
in
that
somebody
from
the
department
came
over
in
the
next
morning
and
said:
I
wasn't
here
before,
but
what's
the
problem?
Well,
look!
What
you've
done
to
my
front
row!
So
we've
got
20-foot
access
on
this
road.
I
said
well,
measured
out
a
measure.
I
said
we
can
go
up
to
here.
I
We
could
go
up
to
here
and
then
they
said.
I
said:
why
is
it
23
feet
over
here
then?
Do
you
have
an
extra
three
feet
give
or
take
leave
it
I
asked
who
complained
and
why
didn't
they
communicate
with
me
in
the
beginning,
I
mean
I
would
randomly
cut
it
down
if
they'd
have
been
some
more
but
not
down
to
the
roots.
To
do
this
to
it
is
what
would
be
able
to
cleat
is
all
up
for
you.
Well,
they
never
came
back
about
it.
Then
I
thought
well.
I
came
back
on.
It
said.
I
Why
was
this
done?
Somebody
made
a
complaint
complaint.
Was
it?
Obviously,
it
was
a
site.
I
live
on
an
intersection
to
around
a
stop
sign
problem
is
on
the
stop.
Sign.
I
was
going
to
ask
for
it
place
chief
there.
Can
you
run
a
stop
sign
if
there's
no
painted
line?
Can
you
issue
a
citation
if
there's
no
painted
line,
who
determines
where
the
line
is?
When
you
see
the
stop
sign
and
you
stop
or
when
you
go
through.
B
I
Mostly,
what
they're
supposed
to
avoid
there's
mostly
white
light
and
I,
spoke
to
somebody
from
in
the
year
from
the
state
today,
and
they
said,
like
the
about
the
striping
thing
that
we
don't
have
in
Black
Mountain,
where
striping
and
your
concerns
on
striping,
and
it
was
very
important.
Well
I,
made
three
years
ago,
I
came
and
asked
you
know
why
this
bar
is
no
striping
in
there
in
black
man.
So
it's
not
budgeted
and
we
go
have
enough
money.
I
Isn't
that
more
important
cutting
trees
down,
isn't
striping
more
important,
see
where
you're
going
in
the
road
half
streets
in
this
town?
Don't
have
you
don't
know
which
side
road
you're
on
there's
a
collision
who's
in
the
wrong
who's
in
the
right?
No
one
seems
to
know
it's
up
to
you
to
budget
those
things
I
suppose,
but
I
just
thought
to
tell
you
that
there's
better
ways
of
doing
it.
Even
the
state
and
local
contracts
are
some
Duke
Energy
when
they
cut
down
trees
like
this,
they
clean
up
the
mess.
I
My
thing
is:
if
you
could
possibly
tell
these
people
before
they
come
out,
get
in
contact
with
the
with
the
Elmont
and
say:
hey
there,
a
problem
here.
Can
you
do
something
about?
Let's
be
in
communication,
because
we
don't.
We
have
a
problem.
Communication
on
this
I
mean
my
rhododendrons,
and
my
little
trees
are
all
my
bushes
are
all
down
now
they're
gone.
Thank
you.
M
It's
difficult,
honest
talk
about
this
project
because
there's
so
little
known
about
it
out
in
the
public,
but
I
hear
a
rumor
of
a
proposed
building
on
space
at
Veterans.
Park
proposed
daycare
center
being
built
there
by
children
and
Friends
I
feel
like
this
project
is
a
rather
hidden
project
and
I
may
not
have
all
of
the
details.
Well,
no
I,
don't
have
all
the
details,
but
maybe
I
don't
have
accurate
details,
but
I
would
like
to
speak
to
some
general
things
about
the
use
of
our
public
lands.
M
One
thing
the
first
thing
to
me
is
the
lack
of
transparency
in
this
proposed
project.
The
lessons
of
the
Town
Square
have
been
forgotten.
There
was
a
lot
of
issue
around
transparency
and
what
was
going
on
between
all
the
different
entities,
except
for
the
public,
having
any
knowledge
of
what
was
going
on
I
feel
like
we
don't
have
any
knowledge
of.
What's
going
on
here,
the
children
and
Friends
was
started
by
area
churches.
There
are
many
open
areas
of
parcels
of
land
next
to
churches
in
this
town
that
might
be
better
utilized
for
this
project.
M
This
could
set
a
precedent
for
therefore
our
town
to
have
other
non-for-profits,
come
to
you
and
say
well,
I
can
get
this
grant.
If
you
can
give
me
a
place
for
my
building.
Many
people
have
worked
long
and
hard
to
develop
the
Greenway,
the
dr.
John
Watson
Gardens,
the
great
eagle,
the
disc
golf
course.
There's
been
no
input
from
these
solicited
from
these
other
from
these
parties
or
other
user
groups.
M
There's
no
denying
that
we
need
affordable
daycare
in
Black
Mountain.
The
issue
is
where
this
particular
daycare
is
going
to
go,
because
the
exact
location
is
very
vague
to
the
public.
I
would
like,
given
the
tract
lack
of
transparency
of
this
project
it
to
be
disclosed
to
the
public
and
also
a
couple
of
input.
Be
soft.
Green
space
in
our
town
is
shrinking.
I
went
I,
served
on
the
Greenway
Commission
for
12
years
and
I
worked
her
band.
M
Planner
talk
about
in
the
corridor
between
Atlanta
and
Raleigh
will
fill
up,
we're
starting
to
see
that
now,
because
I
thought
surely
not
well
yeah
our
little
towns
filling
up
and
I
think
it's
important
that
we
preserve
the
public
spaces
that
we
have
in
the
public
park
lands
that
we
have
and
I
don't
say
that
this
is
project
shouldn't
happen.
I
just
don't
feel
like
it
should
happen
on
a
public
space
and
especially
without
my
argument,
should
be
protected
by
our
public
spaces.
Thank
you.
Thank.
N
A

O
You

I

late,

What

to

was

how

we

at

driving
it
up
and
down
that
road
every
day
it's
being
destroyed,
not
only
that
I
think
it
affects
folks
Bob
and
in
my
health,
so
I'd
like
to
see
the
town
of
Black
Mountain
also
take
into
consideration
some
of
these
other
things
that
these
people
have
said,
because
I
see
our
blue
town
being
disappearance
and
not
being
taken
care
of
crack.
Thank
you
thank.
P
Just
want
to
give
a
brief
update
before
you
there,
but
for
the
unaudited
figures
audits
in
process.
So
but
last
year
our
total
gross
income
was
a
little
over
two
point:
four
million
dollars.
That's
an
increase
of
seven
point:
two
percent
cost
of
goods
increased
by
seven
point:
three
had
increase
in
gross
profits
of
16.4%.
P
We
transmitted
a
little
less
than
six
hundred
thousand
dollars
in
various
taxes
to
the
state,
as
you
know,
there's
a
whole
list
of
various
taxes
ago,
but
a
lot
of
them
go
to
Raleigh.
We
distributed
14800
to
the
Black
Mountain
police,
ten
thousand
four
hundred
to
first
at
Blue,
Ridge,
eighteen
thousand
to
Buncombe
County
and
fifty
for
thousands
of
town
of
Black
Mountain
this
past
year.
You
also
approved
allowing
us
to
set
up
a
reserve,
excess
cash
for
capital
improvements
and
that's
helped
us
in
arts.
P
Our
cash
position
is
very
strong
and
we
are
we've
engaged
an
architect
and
we're
going
to
renovate
our
store
will
have
the
final
plans
at
our
next
meeting.
We
hope,
and
then
we
go
through
the
bid
process
and
so
forth,
but
we're
going
to
the
exterior
is
going
to
be
updated.
Look
nice,
the
interior
will
be
totally
updated
and
expanded
some.
P
That
means
a
warehouse
will
be
shrunk,
a
little
bit
but
it'll
all
work,
and
we
think
we
have
sufficient
cash
for
that
that
folks,
the
ABC
board
folks
in
Raleigh
really
encouraged
us
to
keep
our
stores
modern
modernize
this
in
30
years.
It's
probably
time,
but
the
long
and
short
of
it
is.
We
expect
shortly
thereafter
that
we'll
be
able
to
and
our
goal
is
to
increase
the
distributions
to
the
town.
P
So
we
think
that
will
help
all
that
we
have
a
great
board
and
we
function
very
well
or
focused
on
customer
service
and
and
making
sure
our
employees
focus
on
that
and
they
do
brandy
Reese
our
manager
does
a
great
job
and
all
the
employees
do
so.
That's
clicking
the
dirty
update
and
the
ABC
for
any
questions.
D
Q
I'm
going
to
do
that
for
me,
okay,
so
my
understanding
was
you're
more
interested
in
numbers
this
year,
so
I
went
back
over
the
past
year
and
we're
not
fighting
that
full
year
from
my
last
report
and
got
together
the
numbers
I
could.
So.
This
is
a
pretty
brief
report
and
what
I
really
would
like
for
you
all
to
tell
me
since
we're
just
starting
in
new
year,
is:
is
there
any
other
numbers
you've
all?
Q
Is
there
any
other
data
you
want
other
than
what
I've
gathered
here
so
I'm
open
to
comments
and
suggestions,
so
I
broke
down
what
we
did
into
various
categories
and
some
of
them
overlap,
but
one
of
the
big
ones
that
we
are
is
part
of
our
mission,
for
you
guys
is
to
do
public
awareness
activities.
So
we
get
the
mini
Monster
Mash
in
October
we
did
the
holiday
parade
again.
We
had
probably
25
to
30
participants.
Q
I'm
guessing
I
did
not
count
Discovery
Day
tours,
we
did
have
twenty
eight
participants,
event
included
staff
and
volunteers
and
22
citizens
participated
in
that
day,
where
we
toured
all
the
greenways
and
that's
a
picture
from
there,
and
then
we
had
2500
new
brochures
printed.
So
that's
part
of
our
public
awareness,
then
fundraising-
and
this
is
also
this
kind
of
blends
in
with
public
awareness,
because
a
lot
of
what
we
do
and
our
fundraising
events
also
has
a
public
awareness
component,
but
one
of
our
big
bends
of
the
area's
the
Greenway
challenge.
Q
We
had
206
registrants,
27
volunteers
and
we
netted
over
$4,000
and
I,
want
to
thank
Becky
James,
who
recently
stepped
off
the
Commission,
because
she
has
been
heading
that
up
over
the
past
years
and
Aimee
Parker,
who
wasn't
here
tonight
before
knit
and
taking
that
job
over.
So
it
was
great,
it's
a
great
fun
day,
then
other
fundraising
things
we
did.
We
have
to
say
in
the
holiday
market
and
we
earned
three
hundred
sixty-five
dollars.
We
were
selling
socks
and
we
had
our
display
up.
So
it
was
a
combination
event.
Q
Q
Throughout
the
year,
money
in
our
account
is
twenty,
nine
thousand
eight
hundred
fifty
seven
dollars
and
48
cents,
and
this
is
like
our
long-running
balance.
We
use
this
for
promotional
things.
We
give
some
to
the
town
when
they
need
it
for
match,
and
things
like
that.
So
we
try
to
keep
our.
We
certainly
aren't
going
to
build
a
Greenway
with
that,
but
there's
a
lot
that
we
can
do
to
leverage
more
money
with
it
and
thanks
to
Pam
King
because
she's
our
representative
to
the
Greenway
foundation
and
keeps
track
of
our
money.
Q
So
then
we
did
have
a
grant.
We
had
a
ten
thousand
dollar
grants
in
2016
for
a
sculpture
on
the
Riverwalk
trail.
This
is
a
picture
from
that
dedication,
I
think
most
of
y'all
Board
of
Aldermen
were
there
and
then
we
got
another
grant
for
2017
and
it's
for
a
sculpture
on
the
garden.
Greenway
I
just
want
to
note
that
that
ten
thousand
dollars
we
didn't
get
receive
that
check
until
the
very
end
of
June.
So
that
is
not
included
in
that
previous
balance.
That
I
showed
you,
but
that's
also
dedicated
money.
Q
So
I
kind
of
consider
that
ten
thousand
dollars,
but
we
know
exactly
where
it's
going,
then
we
also
are
involved
in
very
many
community
events
that
are
on
our
greenways
or
just
obsessed,
walking
and
biking
in
Black
Mountain.
So
we
have
to
walk
to
school
days,
one
in
the
fall
had
225
participants
walk
to
school
and
Spring
had
200
participants
we're
going
to
have
a
bike
rodeo
during
describe
not
to
drive
week
and
rain.
So
we
didn't
so
we
plan
to
do
that
again.
Q
Sometime
and
then
outward-bound
had
volunteers,
13,
volunteers
of
spring,
weeding,
village
way,
which
is
always
in
need,
and
then
we
have
some
commissioners
involved
in
trainings
we
had
two
commissioners
attended
thread,
creel
forum
in
December
and
three
attended
the
grown
greenways
forum
in
May.
So
we
are
always
trying
to
stay
up
on
our
education
and
that's
it
short
and
sweet.
So.
H
A
E
G
Q
A
R
David
Madden
1:18,
Church
Street
I'm
really
eager
to
be
here
today
to
report
to
you,
although
I
don't
have
to
report
so
to
speak,
that
the
Raphael
Guastavino
exhibit
at
Swannanoa
Valley
museum,
the
title
of
which
is
palaces
for
the
people.
If
you
look
at
the
photographs
of
what
he
built
he
and
his
son,
they
are
truly
palaces
of
the
people.
People
can
move
in
and
out
of
them
types
all
types
of
buildings
is
a
great
success,
far
greater
than
I'd
hoped.
R
This
is
three
months
into
the
nine-month
run
and
we
have
had
an
estimated
4,000
people
from
our
community
from
Western,
North,
Carolina,
Asheville
and
all
kinds
of
places
that
we
couldn't
determine,
and
so
we
have
9
6
more
months,
and
if
you
estimate
it
could
be
another
8
thousand
visitors,
there's
a
very
big
historic
concept
that
I'm
going
to
apply
to
the
exhibition.
But
I
can't
talk
about
it
now.
R
I
want
to
drop
it
like
a
bombshell
at
the
appropriate
time,
but
but
believe
me
when
I
say
it
will
magnify
everything
associated
with
the
exhibit
and
associated.
Also
with
that
exhibit
I'm
really
glad
about
this,
because
when
I
thought
of
having
it
in
this
one
or
Nova,
Valley,
Museum
and
I
spoke
to
and
cesky
by,
we
were
up
on
the
mountain
watching
fireworks,
I
can't
of
the
benefit
it
would
be
to
the
museum
itself
and
the
admission
is
by
donation
only
and
there's
an
estimated
3,000
or
so
added
to
the
museum
itself.
R
No
money
comes
to
the
people
who
put
the
exhibit
on
myself
and
Mike
Murphy
and
in
Christ
mount.
So
that's
going
to
increase
and
I'm
very
happy
about
that.
I'm.
Happy
that
my
conception
of
the
benefit
to
the
town
has
proven
itself.
It
has
really
helped
the
town,
but
all
those
people
coming
in
new
people
to
see
that
exhibit
specifically,
although
great
many
people
just
happened
to
be
here
and
learn
about
it
and
they're
glad
to
see
it.
R
I
gave
a
reading
of
my
own
works
the
other
day
and
at
Thomas
Wolfe
memorial
said
to
my
wife.
There's
only
ten
people
here
and
but
I
was
wearing
this
shirt
and
I
said
I'm
doing
double
duty
on
on
this
and
a
couple
of
raisin
has
it
we've
been
to
it
and
it's
wonderful.
So
out
of
10
people,
you've
got
two
who
have
been
here.
That's
a
kind
of
good
indication
of
how
successful
now
it
it
opened
in
Washington
Boston
and
the
Boston
Public
Library,
which
was
Raphael
Guastavino
's
major
first.
R
Work
domes
and
bolts
all
through
there
and
it
was
a
great
success.
It
surprised
everybody,
they
didn't
know
a
few
people
had
heard
of
him,
so
they
didn't
expect
many
people.
They
just
felt
as
a
matter
of
respect
and
the
word
got
around.
Then
it
moved
to
Washington
DC
and
then
it
moved
to
the
Historical
Association
of
New
York
City,
the
creator
of
it
who
published
this
wonderful
book,
which
you
can
get
at
the
bookstore
here
in
town
and
see
all
these
marvelous
beautiful
photographs,
many
of
which
are
in
the
exhibition.
I.
H
R
Now
we
have
the
Bell,
which
has
been
in
Swannanoa
Valley,
upstairs
and
very
difficult
to
bring
downstairs
the
fountain
in
which
many
people
have
never
heard
of
how
many
even
heard
that
there's
an
exotic,
very
wonderful
fountain
that
was
out
there
and
about
to
be
thrown
away,
and
it
was
rescued.
That's
there
and
a
the
dress
that
Francesca
his
wife
wore
for
many
years
of
black
dress.
R
But
the
thing
I
really
like
is
that
I
went
to
a
garage,
sale
and
an
estate,
sale
and
I
said.
How
much
is
that
partnership?
That's
a
very
interesting
part
or
set
I.
Wasn't
about
to
buy,
but
it's
one
no
said:
$1,400:
oh
wow,
that's
pretty
good
and
it
came
out
of
Busta
Beano's
house.
It
was
rescued
from
the
fire
and
restored
I
called
up.
Carol
Tyson
said
Carol.
O
R
You
take
a
look
at
it
and
then
give
it
to
Mike
it.
She
did
so
she's
one
of
our
major
donors.
There's
a
one
of
our
donors
is
right
here
over
here.
Can
I
name
Larry
Larry?
Can
I
name
you?
Okay,
okay
and
I
was
going
to
know
going
to
name
Matt
syllable,
but
I
want
to
give
special
attention
among
our
donors
to
rip
horribly.
The
first
person
I
approached
was
Rick
hardwood.
R
Now,
if
you
attended
certain
meetings,
you
can
see
how
beautifully
ironic
that
is
and
how
wonderful
an
example
of
a
community
coming
together
that
is,
Rick
and
I
got
together
on
that,
and
he
is
the
major
donor
in
this
town.
Major
donor
outside
is
John
McKibben
of
the
hotel,
a
hotel
magnate
in
Asheville
and
east
of
Fraga,
who
is
the
owner
with
her
husband,
Tony,
the
Haywood
hotel
and
the
Cambria
that's
being
built.
So
we
have
that
kind
of
backing,
but
we
have
the
backing
of
a
baby.
R
Forty
other
people
in
this
town,
businesses
and
individuals
I
think
that
speaks
extremely
well
for
the
town
itself
and
for
the
faith
the
town
has
in
the
importance
of
this.
Of
this
exhibit
which,
which,
as
I
say,
will
continue
for
six
more
months,
I
promote
it
all
over
the
United
States.
The
money
I'm
raising
now
goes
solely
into
promoting,
which
brings
people
here.
There
are
two
magnificent
signs
in
the
airport.
R
How
many
people
assume
oh
great
and
rack
cards
in
all
of
the
the
rest
stops
throughout
the
state
and
and
in
these
envelopes,
which
I'm
going
to
give
you
in
just
a
minute
I
think
pretty
much
covered.
What
I
wanted
to
say,
which
was
neatly
typed
up
and
couldn't
run
it
off
because,
of
course,
the
computer
broke
down
as
I
got
up
to
go
punching
the
print
key.
R
R
But
as
far
as
the
museum
is
concerned,
I
had
raised
enough
money
to
make
a
down
payment
with
actual
Design,
Center
and
they're
going
to
come
over
the
architects
and
take
a
look
at
Christ's.
Mount
property
to
see
if
a
museum
can
indeed
be
built
there
and
it
may
prove
to
be
it
can't
we
hope
it
will.
Then
they
will
come
to
Black
Mountain
and
then
they'd
have
to
go
to
Asheville.
Let's
not
go
to
a
bit
of
despair,
let's
just
keep
it
in
Black
Mountain,
any
questions
they.
S
All
right,
good
evening,
everybody
Brent
Miller
golf
operations
manager
is
the
Black
Mountain
Golf
Course
I'm.
Here.
To
give
you
a
little
update
for
the
first
half
of
the
golf
cedar.
This
won't
be.
The
financial
would
do
that
in
September
believe,
but
does
it's
just
kind
of
a
brief
update
of
what
we
have
going
on?
S
So
what
are
we
doing
to
make
Black
Mountain
Golf
Course
better?
The
first
thing
I
want
to
say:
we've
got
to
give
big
accolades
to
our
new
hire,
Jerry
Bergman,
our
superintendent
and
his
two
full-time
staff
members,
joy,
Stephenson
and
Chris
Morris.
They
have
done
an
incredible
job
with
limited
resources.
The
golf
courses
good
as
I've,
seen
it
in
ten
years,
so
big
credit
to
those
guys.
S
We
did
the
tomahawk
stream
Bank
restoration
of
anybody's
over
there
on
holes.
Three
four
and
five
the
banks
were
caving
in.
They
were
just
in
total
disarray.
We
had
a
crew,
come
in
scraped
back
the
bank's
buffer
zone,
I
believe
fifteen
feet
on
either
side
replant
vegetation
and
try
to
keep
the
silt
out
of
Lake
tomahawk
I
was
filling
up
like
tomahawk
in
a
hurry.
You
can
kind
of
see
her
before
and
after
here.
The
left
side
is
the
what
we
were
dealing
with
and
the
right
side
of
the
new,
the
new
Bank
right
there.
S
The
vegetation
has
it
grown
in
yet,
but
it's
fully
grown
now
and
it's
doing
this
job
when
it
rains,
we
don't
have
silk
washing
downstream.
It's
really
good
geese
control
methods,
and
this
has
been
a
big
problem
for
us
and
Lake
tomahawk
we've
tried
everything.
You
know
it
kind
of
seems
like
a
joke,
but
it's
really
not
the
geese.
Leave
behind
an
incredible
mess
on
people
complaining
about
it
all
the
time
and
it's
unsanitary,
our
former
superintendent
try
to
Border
Collie
that
didn't
really
work.
S
We,
we
tried
fireworks
at
night
to
disrupt
their
sleep
patterns
that
didn't
work
so
now
we're
flying
a
drone
item
about
a
month
ago,
I
got
the
drone
from
Matt.
I
got
some
training
on
how
to
fly.
It
and
I've
been
I've
been
doing
that
now
for
about
three
weeks,
and
now
you
can
tell
you
within
the
first
three
times
of
flying
it
over
them.
They
were
going
for
eight
days
in
a
row
and
I'm
flying
it
and
I.
S
Think
if
we
stay
after
them
with
this,
it
can
work,
but
we're
going
to
have
to
kind
of
work
with
Lake
tomahawk
as
well.
The
guys
are
Parks
and
Rec
lady
Casey
to
the
geese
are
just
going
to
want
to
go
there.
We
need
to
get
them
out
of
the
area.
We
don't
want
to
harm
them,
but
just
give
them
the
moves
on.
So
that's
kind
of
what
we're
trying
now
a
a
shin
restoration.
This
is
a
big
one.
We
had
an
old
ballast
tank
that
was
with
our
old
system.
S
It
was
40%
water
to
60%,
compressed
air
and
basically
that's
what
forced
the
air
through
force,
the
water.
Through
our
irrigation
system,
the
tanks
of
30
years
old
was
rusting.
When
you
get
that
much
pressure
in
a
rusty
tank,
you
can
imagine
what
what
can
happen.
So
we
remove
that
from
the
system
for
the
new
variable
frequency
drive
pump
and
a
new
control
box.
The
good
thing
about
the
variable
frequency
drive
pump.
Is
you
see
those
one
on
the
left
and
the
one
on
the
right?
It
operates
only
using
the
power
that
it
needs.
S
S
This
is
a
control
box
on
the
left
side
that
the
old
one,
the
new
one
is
a
computerized
version.
Jerry
is
able
to
change
water
flow
pressure,
flow
threat
from
that
computer
screen,
it's
much
more
user-friendly
and
it's
so
far,
so
good
we're
getting
better
coverage
out
of
the
same
irrigation
system
that
we
had
in
place.
If
you
got
look
at
the
golf
course
and
great
shape,
we're
watering
areas
that
weren't
able
to
before
so
I
think
that
was
a
really
good
move.
S
What
are
we
going
to
do
to
get
people
into
the
golf
course
now
that
we've
got
it
in
great
shape?
The
first
thing
we
did,
we
redesigned
our
website.
We
went
from
an
HTML
format
to
a
WordPress
format.
Wordpress
is
basically
where
all
your
newest
information
is
on
top
and
as
you
scroll
down,
you
see
the
old
information,
an
example
that
the
ESPN
s
website.
They
keep
everything
current
at
the
top.
So
if
you
have
events
coming
up
tournaments
coming
up,
that's
the
personal
in
people
see
we
do
still
have
tabs
on
there.
S
So
you
can
get
to
the
information
you
want
to
see,
but
it's
all
on
one
page
will
write
up
most
user
friendly
layout
and
it
also
allows
us
to
promote
our
new
folks
down
there
at
the
grill
Terry
Frisell.
It's
called
the
tap-in
grill,
the
food's
great.
If
you
haven't
tried
it,
he
smokes
barbecue
smokes.
Turkey
got
a
great
sandwich,
called
the
Goblin
pig.
It's
a
smoked
ham
and
smoked
turkey
sandwich
go,
buy
them.
Give
me
a
shot.
It's
a
great
restaurant
in
town.
S
Dig
local
I
just
started
doing
this
within
the
last
month.
Basically,
what
Digg
local
is
it's
a
website
that
allows
tourists
and
locals
to
get
on
and
see
what's
going
on
in
the
town,
what
kind
of
specials
are
being
offered?
And
then
you
have
your
own
little
segment
of
that
site.
So
people
can,
you
know,
see
what
your
website
is
through
Facebook
pages.
S
If
you
have
Instagram
it
utilizes
all
the
social
media
that
you
know
a
way
to
reach
out
to
people
without
spending
a
lot
of
money,
you
can
see
they're
right
in
the
middle
of
the
screen.
That's
an
ad
that
we've
got
going
right
now
for
forcings
for
$100
on
Thursdays,
it's
a
slow
day
for
us,
so
I'll
put
that
on
Digg
local
to
try
to
get
people
to
come
to
the
golf
course
and
fill
those
times
our
Facebook
promotions.
We
try
to
put
a
lot
of
fun
photos
on
there.
S
People
who
win
tournaments,
we'll
put
them
on
there,
I
just
posted
a
group
of
our
ladies
we've
made
use
one
of
them
on
Saturday
morning
for
a
red
black
blue
tournament.
It
gets
people
to
look
at
the
page
on
your
track.
Followers
in
January
we
had
900
and
I,
think
30
followers
and
now
we're
over
1,800
followers.
So
the
more
people
that
we
can
get
on
there
more
emails.
We
can
gather
and
the
more
promotions
we
can
send
out
to
get
folks
to
come
to
the
golf
course.
S
So
that's
kind
of
how
we're
doing
that
who's
playing
the
golf
course
over
the
years
membership
has
kind
of
been
stagnant
for
probably
the
last
six
to
seven
years.
Last
year
we
had
122
paid
members
right
now.
We've
got
118
as
of
July
1,
and
you
can
see
that
includes
those
who
signed
up
after
July
1
last
year
and
they
weren't
up
for
renewal.
Yet
we've
added
in
862
per
membership
last
year
865
this
year.
S
D
A
E
Sir,
you've
got
a
doctor
two
minutes
from
your
June
agenda
meeting
your
regular
session
and
your
budget.
Public
hearings
and
you've
got
a
budget
amendment
for
what's
called
the
lek
peephole
police
software.
This
is
a
software
product
that
well,
in
our
opinion,
will
reduce
liability
by
updating
our
police
policy
manuals
based
on
current
state
and
federal
laws,
natural
trends
and
and
and
procedures,
and
keep
us
up
to
date
with
with
our
processes
and
in
the
police
department.
E
We
are,
we
are
funding
this
or
asking
good
to
be
funded
through
our
police
forfeiture
funds
which
currently
have
a
balance
of
a
little
over
fifty
four
thousand
dollars.
This
is
a
seven
thousand
dollar
expenditure
and
I.
Think
the
police
department
would
agree
that
that
that
this
is
a
updating.
Our
policies
and
keeping
our
policies
in
line
with
current
statutes
is
that
it
would
be
beneficial
and
so
that
that's
what
that's,
what
this
pledge
amend
our
complexes
for
us
and
that's
what
you
have
on
your
consent
agenda
all.
A
Right
do
we
have
any
discussion
on
the
consent
agenda
or
anyone
wanting
to
move
anything
not
seeing
any
do
I
have
a
motion
to
approve
the
consent
agenda
so
moved
all
right,
all
in
favor,
aye
all
right
motion
passes
for,
and
so
this
will
move
us
on
to
our
next
set
of
citizen
comments.
So
if
there's
anyone
that
did
not
get
a
chance
to
speak
at
the
beginning
of
the
meeting
that
wants
to
address
I.
H
U
L
Looking
at
the
agenda,
looking
at
Robin
shows
of
29,
muscular
and
I
don't
seem
to
see
any
names
on
people.
Volunteering
for
these
blank
spaces.
I
want
you
all
to
think
about
that,
as
you
continue
to
think
about
the
type
of
zoning
and
the
type
of
planning
that
you're
doing
in
the
town.
I
know
I
personally,
give
thousands
of
hours
to
this
town
and
to
the
community
and
I
think
there's
a
value
that
needs
to
be
put
on
that
I
hear
a
lot
of
talk
about.
You
know,
balancing
the
budget.
L
F
E
So
on
your
new
business,
you've
got
appointments
to
fill
vacancies
on
a
handful
of
town
boards
and
commissions,
and
you
do
have
I
think
in
front
of
you
for
the
Greenway,
Commission,
Leslie.
Well,
I
think
you
should
well
I'm
not
going
to
tell
you
what
you
what
you
have
you
have
let
the
tempo
in
the
field
and
fever
met
nine
others
Ephesus,
alright,.
A
E
Do
not
have
any
we
currently
do
not
have
any
applicants
Angela
correct
me
if
I'm
wrong
for
Historic
Preservation
Commission,
so
there
still
be
a
vacancy
available
on
that
board.
You
do
have
a
applicant
for
the
sizes.
Second
alternate
seat
for
the
Zoning
Board
of
adjustments
and
PPS
Theodore
Matson
as
an
applicant
for
that.
For
that
alternate
position,
all.
A
E
That
is
going
to
leave
you
a
vacancy
on
the
Historic,
Preservation
Commission
and
the
third
alternate
seat
for
the
Board
of
adjustments
will
still
remain,
and
so
we
will
continue
to
reach
out
for
those
for
those
positions
available
and
they'll
remain
vacant,
and
then
that
vice
mayor
eludes
us
to
to
the
next
to
the
next
section
of
new
business.
If
you
want
to
move
forward
so
much
morning,
unless
you've
got
wake
up.
E
That
that's
that's
part
of
Part
B,
that's
going
to
adjust
under
the
recreation
or
anything
so
I
didn't
mean
I
didn't
mean
to
leave
that
out.
That
actually
ties
back
in
that's
what
we're
getting
what's.
What
is
the
next?
The
next
section,
which
is,
which
is
an
ordinance
to
clarify
membership
requirements
of
the
Recreation
Commission
and
the
residency
requirements
of
the
urban
forestry
commission,
and
then
what
you
have
in
front
of
you
is
a
ordinance
that
would
set.
E
N
E
A
U
A
E
I
will
Iran
will
correct
me
if
I'm
wrong,
because
generally,
when
we've
passed
ordinances
in
this
pit,
in
least
in
the
last
few
years,
they've
passed
as
well
as
the
last
one
did
for
the
Recreation
Commission
in
the
urban
forestry
commission.
They
passed
generally,
you
nanus
for
unanimously,
but
you
are
required
to
pass
a
new
ordinance
on
its
first
reading
by
a
two-thirds
majority
2/3
of
five
and
then
we'll
certainly
correct
me
when
I'm
wrong
on
this
is
more
than
three.
E
So
you
will
have
to
you'll
have
to
have
four
votes
to
to
pass
this
on
the
first
reading,
and
what
that
means
is
that
at
a
if
you
do,
then
it
passes
on
the
first
reading.
If
you
do
not
do
that,
then
you
have
to
have
you
you'll
have
a
second
reading
on
a
future
meeting
and
then
it
could
pass
by
simple
majority,
but
I
do
but
I
didn't
want
to
lay
that
out.
E
As
I
know,
some
of
the
some
of
the
details
of
the
brunch
bill
or
not
and
I'll
be
glad
to
try
to
answer
any
questions
it
if
there
is
there's
a
lot
of,
but
there's
a
lot
of
details
in
there.
But
the
primary
issue
is
that
restaurants
can
now
serve
with
the
passing
of
this
legislation
or
the
passengers.
Authorization
restaurants
would
be
often
will
be
allowed
to
serve
alcohol
starting
at
10:00
in
the
morning.
E
In
addition
to
anybody,
that's
already
that
already
have
an
ABC
for
a
minute
and
sell
alcohol,
so
it
should
include
convenience
stores
and
grocery
stores
a
compelling
for
investor.
If
there's
anybody
that
that
it
is
authorized
to
sell
alcohol
and
start
ten
o'clock
in
the
morning
on
it
on
Sunday,
with
the
authorization
of
this
and
out,
then
I'll
always
go
from
there
and.
A
A
E
Think
I
hope
everybody
got
a
copy
of
the
the
school
of
government's
reading
of
the
bill,
which
did
move
pretty
quickly,
but
it's,
but
we're
not
required
to
give
notice
and
I'm
going
to
have
a
public
hearing
you,
but
you
are
required
to
authorize
it
as
an
ordinance.
It's
not.
It
is
not
enacted
without
action
from
the
board.
All.
N
T
I'll
start
the
discussion:
if
I
go
first
made
for
me
and
professional
man
and
even
for
family
and
religious
reasons,
you
know,
I
will
be
voting
against
this
I
think
very
strongly.
We
want
to
identify
ourselves
and
we've
always
identified
ourselves
as
having
a
small-town
feeling,
small-town
atmosphere
and
family-oriented
I.
Think
that
opening
open
it
up
two
hours
earlier.
You
know
I,
don't
see
where
it's
really
going
to
make
that
big
of
an
impact
as
far
as
revenue
generating
in
town.
It's
for
some
merchants
of
concern.
T
B
But
from
my
perspective,
the
community
voted
fairly
handily
and
comfortably
without
very
much
on
public
discussion
about
it
for
liquor
by
the
drink,
whatever
it
was
six
or
seven
years
ago
and
and
I
think.
This
change
is
consistent
with
with
the
community's
decision
a
few
years
ago.
So
obviously
we're
all
that
we
all
have
concerns
and
are
not
in
favor
of
anyone
abusing
alcohol
intake,
and
that's
always
a
problem
that
you
know
you
can
go
to
the
ABC
store
up
to
nine
o'clock
on
Saturday
night
and
the
Gallants.
B
If
that
were
your
preference
and
so
I
think
this
is
just
more
of
a
modification
to
to
provide
for
the
restaurant
tours
as
much
as
anything
else
and
so
I
I
don't
have
any
issues
with
it.
In
terms
of
my
religious
beliefs
and
how
that
ties
in
it
doesn't
correlate
to
that
at
all
they're
just
concerned
with
public
welfare.
As
far
as
overuse
of
alcohol,
that
I
don't
have
any
issues
with
with
ordinance
I,
don't.
U
D
The
statements
made
the
court
calls
the
small
town
character
and
I'm
in
agreement
with
him.
I
can't
see
we're
two
hours
makes
a
difference,
and
the
big.
The
big
question
is
why.
Why
is
the
two
hours
won't
make
a
difference
to
anybody?
Why
keep
it
worth
that
town
and
the
restaurants
are
doing
just
just
buying
and
way
they
are,
and
I'm
gonna
have
to
go
to
the
caller.
Please.
A
E
Regular
at
the
next
regular
meeting
or
a
special
column,
anything
just
just
just
for
the
for
the
fun
of
milling
things.
The
county
does
have
a
requirement
that
they
have
to
hear
things
within
a
I
think
a
hundred
days
or
if
their
next
regular
meeting.
We
do
not
have
that
requirement,
but
so
with
the
next,
so
you
would
have.
You
will
have
to
actually
put
it
on
the
put
it
on
the
agenda.
E
E
A
A
E
A
A
My
vote
rpm
all
right,
so
all
those
in
favor
of
approving
ordinance,
o
1713,
adding
the
new
section
to
be
in
compliance
with
the
brunch
bill
and
allowing
the
sale
of
mob
beverages
on
four
to
five
on
one
fortified
wine
and
mixed
beverages,
beginning
at
10:00
a.m.
on
Sundays,
all
in
favor,
say
aye
aye.
All
those
opposed.
U
E
B
A
E
Only
thing
that
I
have
is
that
I
would
like
to
acknowledge
Angela
Reese,
who
is
now
a
certified
municipal
clerk.
She
has
taken
her
courses
over
the
last
year.
I
worked
very
hard
to
do
that,
and
we're
very
proud
of
the
of
the
work
that
she's
put
in
the
sacrifices
she's
made
and
I
would
like
students
to
acknowledge
that
she's.
Now,
a
certified
municipal
clerk
with
the
state
of
North
Carolina.
T
U
A
E
E
The
the
hours
of
work
that
actually
works
within
our
within
our
noise
ordinances
is
7:00
in
the
morning
till
6:00
at
night,
but
not
only
but
not
on
Sundays
and
so
I
mean
obviously,
if
you're
doing
work
inside
your
house
and
doesn't
it
doesn't
that
impact
your
neighbors
and
that
that
does
not
violate
that
that,
but
that
is,
that
is
our.
We
do
have
an
ordinance
that
does
not.
