A
The
connect
NC
bond
was
adopted
by
the
legislature
and
proposed
for
the
state
of
North
Carolina.
This
will
be
on
the
ballot
for
the
primary
of
March,
fifteenth
that
the
top
of
the
ballot
it
will
have
a
connect
NC.
We
want
the
people
as
they
go
to
pose
to
make
sure
that
they
read
the
ballot
and
that
they
are
familiar
with.
It
will
include
the
education
system
and
include
infrastructure
that
include
safety
means
for
the
state
and
their
various
components
that
affect
those
areas.
A
We
have
a
58
community
colleges
in
the
state
of
North
Carolina,
so
the
majority
of
those
colleges
will
be
receiving
funding
to
do
infrastructural
changes
or
variety
of
different
types
of
things
that
they
like
to
do
for
the
UNC
system
in
North,
Carolina
of
the
college
campuses
will
be
affected,
for
example
in
NC
State
University.
The
bond
will
include
a
new
engineering
facility
out
at
the
centennial
campus
at
NC.
State
also
included
in
the
bond,
will
be
a
plant
sciences
initiative
that
will
be
at
NC
State,
University's
campus
as
well
at
A&T,
State
University.
A
I
order
the
land-grant
college
will
be
an
engineering
building
several
other
campuses,
including
Appalachian,
UNC,
Asheville,
Western
Carolina.
All
of
those
campuses
as
well
will
be
included
in
the
bond
with
some
infrastructural
types
of
just
some
of
the
cities
will
be
receiving
funds
for
doing
water
sore
those
kinds
of
things
the
National
Guard
will
be
receiving
funds.
There
will
be
a
facility
that
is
proposed
pretty
close
by
here
in
morganton
in
burke
county,
in
addition
to
a
National
Guard.
Also,
there
will
be
funds
in
the
package
for
our
park
system.
A
The
Park
Service
are
very,
very
critical,
particularly
in
this
area,
where
there's
a
lot
of
tourism
and
that
type
thing
where
all
the
parks
across
the
state
will
be
getting
resources
to
do
some
infrastructure
upgrades
and
that
type
thing
also
the
zoos
are
a
part
of
the
the
bond
as
well.
You
know
we
have
a
very,
very
nationally
recognized
zune,
aspirin,
North
Carolina.
In
addition
to
that,
the
agriculture
piece
is
very
important.
North
Carolina
is
really
big
AG
here
in
Western
North
Carolina,
we
have
vineyards.
A
We
have
a
lot
of
breweries
in
this
area,
as
well
as
the
Christmas
tree
industry
in
the
eastern
part
of
state
would
have
the
growler
industry,
the
poultry
industry.
You
have
the
turkeys,
the
chickens
and
that
type
thing
so
we're
an
80
billion
dollar
industry
in
this
state
and
AG.
So
with
that
in
mind,
the
AG
peace
in
this
bond
is
very,
very
important.
In
addition,
there
will
be
North
Carolina
Department
of
Agriculture
facility,
there's
information
honor
the
connect,
NC
calm
website
that
will
show
how
the
funds
will
be
dispersed.
A
That
was
all
done
in
a
legislature,
so
what
I
would
encourage
everyone
to
do
is
to
visit
the
connect
NC
website,
too
see
kind
of
where
those
funds
are
going,
what
they'll
be
used
for,
because
it's
a
whole
menu
of
items.
The
last
bond
that
we
were
involved
in
was
in
I
believe
2000,
that
one
was
basically
an
education
bond
where
there
were
some
infrastructural
changes
and
that
one
was
a
lot
focus
on
education.
Well,
it's
been
15
years
and
in
15
years
North
Carolina's
population
has
grown
by
2
million
people,
so
I
believe.
A
Where
that
can
be,
they
can
make
a
difference
if
people
eat
if
people
are
like
to
drink
water.
If
people
like
to
go
places,
if
they'd
like
to
see
beautiful
parts
of
the
state,
if
they'd
like
to
go
and
see,
I
mean
there's
lots
of
different
things
in
the
state
that
are
affected
through
this
bond
and
particularly
things
like
the
National
Guard
people
really
don't
think.
A
Well,
how
does
this
not
affect
me
what
it
does,
because
in
the
event
of
a
disaster,
and
when
we
are
protected
in
this
state
of
the
National
Guard
plays
a
vital
role
in
that.
So
we
want
people
to
really
understand
that.
There's
a
lot
of
pieces
and
this
bond.
If
they
have
questions
any
more
information,
they
certainly
can
go
to
the
connect,
NC
website,
lots
of
materials
and
educational
materials
that
people
can
use
to
to
go
out
and
tell
others
who
are
not
as
informed
about
the
bond.
