From YouTube: BHS 9th grade registration video
Description
This video walks current 8th graders through the course request process in PowerSchool.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
It
generates
a
table
which
is
called
ninth
grade
pe
and
it
says
you
may
select
one
course
and
I've
selected
zero.
So,
okay,
I
said:
let's
check
check
out
pe
lifetime
activities
one.
So
I
put
I
press.
I
click
the
button
next
to
the
left
of
the
pe
lifetime
activities.
One,
and
it
says
this
course
will
appear.
A
So
this
course
will
be
requested
is
what
it
says,
and
I
can
only
select
one.
I've
checked
one.
So
I'm
going
to
press,
ok
and
what
you
see
here
is
it
made
the
red
exclamation
point
a
check
mark
and
it
put
the
name
of
the
class
right
here.
Well
now
I
went
and
looked
at
the
program
of
studies
and
said
I
might
want
to
do
that
movement
class
instead,
no
worries.
I
can
go
change
that
I
just
go
back
to
the
edit
button
and
I
click
on
movement
exploration
and
it
did
it
toggled.
A
A
The
next
thing
I
get
to
check
I
get
to
choose
is
9th
grade
math.
So
I
go
to
the
edit
button
and
I
see
well
algebra
1.
I
think
I'm
ready
for
that,
but
my
middle
school
teacher
hasn't
put
my
recommendation
in
there,
so
I
can't
choose
it
yet.
No
problem,
I'm
going
to
choose
concepts
of
algebra
and
my
middle
school
teacher
can
make
the
recommendation
and
it
can
get
switched.
So
don't
worry
about
that.
It'll
be
fine,
so
I've
selected
one
course-
and
I
was
supposed
to
so.
A
A
A
I
know
that
I
don't
I'm
not
required
to
take
an
english
language,
language
learning
or
reading
instructions
for
classes.
So
I'm
not
going
to
click
on
that.
If
you
did,
it
would
be
something
that
you'd
click
on
and
then
there
are
the
descriptions
here.
A
Ninth
grade
electives
number
of
requests
to
generate
is
one
so
I
go
in
here
and
I
would
like
to
choose
concert
band
because
I
play
the
bassoon
and
I
want
to
play
with
people.
I
think
that'd
be
super
academic
study
hall,
we're
supposed
to
request
one
of
those.
A
I
think
that
happens
automatically.
If
I
wanted
to
take
btc
tech
foundational
program.
I'd
do
the
same.
I'd
choose
there
alternate
courses,
oh
okay,
so
if
I
don't
get
into
let's
say
band
I'd
like
to
do
introduction
to
music
theory.
So,
okay,
that's
good!
Oh
look!
There's
a
second
page!
I
know
because
there's
not
just
one
number
here,
but
there
are
two:
oh
musical
theater.
That
sounds
really
really
fun.
I
am
going
to
put
that
in
instead
and
I
can
select
between
one
and
three
courses,
but
not
of
course,
I've
already
done
so.
A
Those
sound
good
put
those
in
and
additional
request
buttons.
Let's
see,
what's
there
there's
nothing
there
to
check
so
I'm
as
an
incoming
ninth
grader
required
to
have
between
seven
and
twelve
credit
hours
and
I'm
requesting
eight.
So
if
that
sounds
good,
I
could
put
another
one
in
like
let's
say
I
do
want
some
extra
help
in
reading
I'll
go
here
and
oh
yeah,
a
learning
lab
might
be
good
for
me,
so
I
put
in
okay
and
then
it
changes
it
down.
Here
I
have
eight
and
a
half
credits.
