B
A
So
I'm
tom
flanagan,
I'm
the
new
superintendent
and
I'll
I'll-
ask
everybody
to
go
around
tonight
here
to
introduce.
B
B
B
E
B
A
G
H
B
F
A
A
My
name
is
tom
flanagan,
as
you
heard,
and
I
am
also
I
am
new
to
burlington.
So
I
moved
here
just
in
july
and
I
have
three
kids:
two
will
go
to
flynn.
One
will
go
to
hunt.
B
B
A
B
A
B
A
A
A
And
that
guidance
tells
us
a
few
things
number
one.
It
says
that
we
are
ready
to
come
back
to
school
in
vermont
and
number
two.
We
have
to
follow
some
practices
that
are
different
than
normal
years.
B
A
B
A
A
B
A
B
A
A
B
B
So
she
says
that
in
terms
of
protections
we
need
to
mention
that
you
covered
very
well.
Thank
you
for
that,
but
she
said
that
we
were
very
desperate
when
we
heard
about
the
two
days
of
school.
But
now
when
you
talked
about
the
four
days,
I
was
a
little
bit
released
relief,
but
she
said
that.
Well,
I
explained
for
those
four
days
who
is
four,
because
I
know
some
of
her
kids
in
the
district.
They
know
and
it
all
caused.
So
she
said
that
we
definitely
want
those
four
days
for
all
kids.
F
B
She
said
that
the
most
important
thing
for
me
that
I
want
my
kids
to
go
to
the
school
is
because
I'm
a
mother,
I'm
home.
If
a
kid
do
something
online,
like
he's
taking
online
virtual
classes,
I
can't
really
tell
what
they're
doing
in
there
exactly,
but
if
they're
in
school.
I
know
that
they're
enhanced
of
the
teacher
that
they're
working
hard
there.
B
B
E
B
She
said
that
for
me,
one
of
the
reason,
the
main
reason
that
I
came
today
is
not
for
the
covet
19
safety.
She
said
that
one
of
the
things
that
I
want
to
talk
about
the
mention
since
you're
the
new
superintendent
right
now
some
issues
that
we
had
in
the
previous
with
teachers.
If
I
can
mention
that.
B
B
I
B
I
G
B
D
So
the
question
I
have
is
due
to
the
remote
things:
is
there
going
to
be
the
same
feature
that
they
have
in
class?
That's
going
to
be
in
the
past
for
them,
or
is
it
going
to
be
another
teacher?
That's
one
person
and
the
other
thing
is
that
when
you
say
we're
going
to
provide
safety
staff,
does
that
mean
like
you
guys
are
providing
the
mass
you're
gonna
be
doing
the
checking
and
everything
because
most
of
our
parents,
if
we
say
check
it
yourself,
they
might
not
be
able
to
do
it.
A
So
we
are
ordering
masks
for
all
students,
and
that's
really
the
big
thing
that
every
student
will
need
is
a
mask,
so
two
masks
for
every
student
and
students
can
also
bring
their
own
masks.
So
we
are
ordering
masks.
You'll
have
a
lot
of
hand,
sanitizer
a
lot
of
those
soap
for
hand
washing
and
hand
sanitizer
to
make
sure
that
the
desk
is
enhanced.
B
A
B
B
B
A
A
So
we're
asking
as
much
as
possible
if
families
can
walk
with
their
students
to
school
carpool
and
to
find
other
forms
of
transportation
bicycle
anything
that
any
other
way
to
get
to.
B
A
B
A
B
B
B
She
says
that
my
only
question
is
like
transportation.
Let's
say:
sometimes
you
know
the
weather
changes
here
in
vermont.
If
the
bus
gets
full
and
the
bus
cannot
take
any
more
students,
let's
say
the
kids
finds
you
know
right
somewhere
and
he
gets
to
the
school
late.
What
will
happen
to
the
students?
Will
he
get
absent
or
will
he
be
excused.
A
We
will
let
students
in
if
they're,
coming
in
late
because
of
transportation
issues.
We
know
this
is
a
big
problem
and
we're
trying
to
figure
out
how
to
fix.
I
J
J
B
So
for
her,
she
doesn't
have
a
question,
but
she
have
a
comment.
Just
she
says
that
you
know
we
know
as
a
parent.
We
already
have
enough
with
the
kids.
When,
even
you
know,
everything
was
good.
So,
with
this
our
pandemic,
things
get
harder
and,
and
what
we're
expecting
is
for
you
to
do
the
best
you
can
to
build
a
system
where
the
kids
can
get
lifted.
Elevated
like
such
as
like
right
now,
the
case
will
be
provided
for
ipods
and
chromebooks.
J
J
B
It
says
that
we're
not
aloners
people,
we
came
from
a
refugee
and
most
of
the
students.
You
know
they're
already
having
a
tough
time
in
terms
of
learning
and
everything
they
get.
It
comes
from
the
school.
So
since
this
pandemic
happened,
you
know
all
the
kids
grades
and
the
education
went
very
low.
Because
of
that
reason,
that's
how
we
need
the
kids
to
be
elevated
and
you
know
so
that
they
get
the
the
education
they
deserve
from
the
school.
D
We
need
more
staff
that
are
going
to
be
working
with
the
kids,
especially
our
kids,
who
are
english,
is
their
second
language
that
need
a
lot
of
support.
That
needs
a
lot
extra
help,
especially
the
time
that
we
are
in
right.
Now.
Things
were
worse
before
now
is
even
worse
than
it
is
right
now,
so
we
want
people
to
work
with
whether
it's
teachers
extra
teacher,
whether
it's
extra
staff,
whether
it
is
a
very
fair
educator,
the
teachers,
because
who
are
iep
students,
their
educator,
even
the
interpreter.
A
J
B
So
yeah
pretty
much.
I
didn't
actually
tell
what
you
just
said,
because
it's
like
coming
from
an
emotional
expert
but
yeah.
She
repeated
pretty
much
saying
that
you
know.
If
we
have
more
stuff
in
the
school,
then
our
kids
have
more
opportunity
to
get
help
pretty
much.
That's
what
she's
saying
and
that's
what
we
want
it
feel
like
we've
been
going
through
a
lot,
you
know
when
the
school
and
everything
was
good
before
the
before
the
pandemic.
B
But
right
now
like
the
kids
are
struggling
even
more
because
that's
just
you
know
they
don't
have
much.
B
J
B
Okay,
okay,
she's
saying
that
you
know
like,
for
example,
you
know
she
offer
kids
like
in
the
district,
not
one
or
two
kids
like
more
children's
more
children
in
the
district
and
she's
saying
that,
like
you,
know
some
of
the
teachers
during
the
pandemic,
when
they
call
there
wasn't
any
enough
time,
you
know
to
do
things,
and
you
know
the
kids
like
teachers
are
always
like
running
from
one
student
to
another,
and
because
of
that
reason-
and
I
can't
help
whatever
that
little
thing
that
the
teacher
explained
to
the
student-
I
cannot
support
with
them.
B
A
Yeah-
and
we
have
done
some
of
that,
because
the
the
state
gave
us
told
us-
buy
the
chromebooks,
buy
the
things
you
need
and
then
we
will
reimburse
we'll
give
you
the
money
back.
So
we've
done
some
of
that,
but
we
need
to
do
more.
I
think
we
need
to
do
more
to
serve
our
our
students,
who
are
learning
english
and
I
just
agree
100.
B
B
She
said
that
like
well,
I
have
stories,
tell
you
and
that
story
is
very
long,
but
because
of
that
reason
she
said
that
you
know
it
was
a
story
that
happened
to
my
girl
when
she
was
in
kindergarten
and
nobody
did
anything
for
me.
That's
what
I
wanted
to
tell.
E
E
B
So
she's
saying
that
there
was
an
incident
happening
in
the
school
with
my
my
daughter
and
other
students,
and
she
said
that
I
find
out
that
you
know
two
students.
They
fought,
and
you
know
my
my
daughter.
B
She
used
to
talk
to
my
the
teacher
once
the
incident
happened
and
the
teacher
for
some
reason
she
was
doing
separation
from
both
the
students,
because
the
other
students
was
white
and
you
know
I
tried
to
talk
to
my
daughter
in
certain
ways,
and
you
know
for
me
to
find
that
issue
in
the
school
like
it
was
really.
You
know
kind
of
hurt
me
because
she
said
that
I
did
an
investigation
for
me
to
go
and
check
really
to
see
what
is
happening
like
I
used.
B
She
said
that
I
did
went
to
lunch
time
to
see
and
check
what
is
really
happening,
and-
and
this
is
like
something
that
happened
in
school,
where
teachers
separating
you
know
student,
like
both
the
students,
you
know
because
of
my
students.
So
it's
a
college
student
and
this
she
said
that
this
I
actually
reported
to
the
principal
as
well
in
the
school.
You
haven't
done
anything,
and
this
is
like
issue
that
has
happened
in
the
school
district
and
those
kind
of
things
like
needs
really
to
stop.
E
E
E
B
So
I
mean
she's
saying
that
you
know
this
like
incident.
Similar
incident
happened
to
a
white
child
and
you
know
his
mother
went
to
the
school
and
she
reported
this
kind
of
incident
and
they
made
a
deep
investigation
and
the
teacher
like
they
handled
it.
But
for
me
she
says
I
went
there
many
times.
B
Nobody
really
did
anything
for
me
and
you
know,
and
at
the
end,
like
you
know,
I
had
to
tell
my
daughter
if
somebody
hit
you
hit
them
back
after
all,
like
I
reported
many
times,
nobody
really
did
anything
for
me,
my
daughter.
She
goes
to
the
school
happy
and
comes
back
with
sadness
on
our
face
and
worried
and
stressed-
and
this
is
like
really
something
that
happened
to
my
daughter
and
right
now.
B
I'm
very
worried
because-
and
I
have
a
kindergarten
who
is
about
to
study
school
very
soon
and
I'm
just
like
seeing
the
same
image
comes
back
into
my
head
that
it
might
happen
to
some
event
that
happened
before,
and
this
is
like
you
know,
it's
happening
in
school.
This
is
something
that
needs
to
stop,
and
people
need
to
do
something
about
it.
A
A
B
G
H
B
So
she
said
that
my
question
is
like
something
that
I
seen
within.
My
kids
is
like
kids,
who
are
like
eight
and
nine
years
old.
You
know
when
this
pandemic
happened,
the
teachers
call
and
give
them
instruction
about
what
they
need
to
do,
but
these
are
kids
that
cannot
really
engage
with
the
students.
I
was
shocked,
she
says
and
they
go
to
school.
B
A
I
B
So
she's
saying
that,
like
you
know,
for
almost
like
eight
to
nine
years
of
kids
going
to
school
and
like
coming
back
home
and
they
can't
write
and
read:
that's
what
we
witness
that's
what
she's
saying.
B
A
I
B
Yeah
she
said
that
pretty
much
like.
We
need
some
serious
change
here,
because
there's
a
lot
of
students
who
are
getting
inferior.
B
B
And
a
lot
of
kids
they're,
just
walking
into
the
you
know
the
the
school
of
district
everybody's,
like
you
know,
there's
the
same
amount
of
time
but
they're
not
receiving
the
same
education
and
if
you're
gonna
do
something.
We
want
you
to
work
on
that
piece
right
there,
so
that
the
case
will
not
get
any
inferior.
D
B
But
she
was
asking
a
question
that
you
already
answered,
but
I
think
one
of
the
things
that
she
said
before
she
asked
the
question
was
that
I
really
appreciate
for
you
coming
from
outside
of
this
state
coming
to
help
us
and
that's
that's.
I
really
appreciate
it
right
now.
Thank
you
and
I
want
to
work
together.
B
Yeah
I
mean
this:
is
this
in
your
list?
I
guess.
B
So
she
said
we
appreciate
we.
First
of
all,
she
said
you
are
new
and
you
called
us
until
meeting.
That's
a
great
thing,
so
we
appreciate
on
that.
Second,
she
said
that
we
definitely
worried
about
the
kids
feature
and
we
want
someone
who
actually
speak
my
my
both
my
mind
and
somali
that
who
can
be
a
teacher
in
the
school
district
so
that
our
kids
tomorrow
they
know
their
language
as
well.
B
H
E
B
So
we
went
back
to
safety.
She
says
that
we
know
that
when
kids
is
to
all
of
and
above
you
know
is
he
can
protect
himself
and
knows
how
to
follow
directions
and
stuff
so
like
how
about
kids,
who
are
six
years
old
or
seven
or
younger?
How
can
we
like
really
take
care
of
those
guys
like
in
terms
of
safety-wise.
A
B
When
they
come
to
the
district
like,
how
can
they
be
protected,
like
who's
responsible
for
like
who's,
watching
them,.
A
B
B
E
E
B
B
We
definitely
want
the
kids
to
teach
us
to
make
a
follow-up,
make
sure
that
they're
learning,
because
we
know
that
when
they're
home
they're
not
getting
the
support,
they
need
not
from
us
you're
saying,
but
you
know
the
those
four
days
that
they're
in
school
those
the
only
support
they're
getting
from
the
teachers,
so
we
definitely
needed
somebody
to
make
a
follow-up
in
terms
of
the.
E
B
B
Okay,
so
she's
saying
that
like
she's
asking
the
questions
about
when
the
kids
like
and
how
do
we
know
if
the
kids
are
sick?
And
I
know
you
talked
about
already
about
temperature.
B
So
she's
just
thinking
ahead,
you
know
in
terms
of
transportation,
why
she's
saying
that
you
know
in
the
wintertime,
I
think
there's
a
petition.
It's
going
to
be
hard.
You
know
because
18
kids
in
a
bus
we
understand,
but
that's
like
we
have,
to
maybe
add
more
transportation
in
some
ways,
she's
saying
that
that
definitely
is
not
going
to
work
since,
like
we
have
a
lot
of
kids
as
well,
it's
gonna
be
tough
for.
B
B
E
B
Okay,
so
she's
just
saying
that,
like,
as
I
already
told
you,
she
said
the
story
about
my
daughter
in
kindergarten
like
she
was
having
tough
time
with
the
other
students
and
the
teaching.
So
to
me
she
did
not
learn
anything
even
the
alphabet.
I
teach
her
on
my
house
and
I
asked
the
teacher
if
they
could
bring
it
back
because
she
was
going
to
first
grade.
So
she
said
that
I
want
them.
I
want
them
to
bring
a
bug
to
a
kindergarten,
because
she
didn't
learn
anything
from
that
and
they
said
no.
B
We
just
have
to
follow
her
age,
and
that's
like
tells
me
that
you
know
nobody
really
cares
about
kids
education,
so
they
just
care
about
how
old
the
kid
is
for
placement.
A
Yeah,
it's
a
really
hard
question
right
now,
because
a
lot
of
students,
every
student
missed
the
end
of
the
school
year.
So
what
we
have
to
do
is
is
make
sure
that
we
know
what
they
missed,
that
in
kindergarten
and
make
sure
that
we're
teaching
that
in
first
grade
sometimes
when
you
keep
when
students
stay
back
it
doesn't
it
doesn't
help
them
because
they
they
end
up
being
with
younger
kids,
and
it
makes
them
feel
bad.
But
sometimes
it
is
the
right
thing
to
do
too.
So
it's
all
about
what's
right
for
your
for.
B
B
J
B
So
yeah
I
mean
I
know
you
actually
mentioned
this
about.
You
know
fighting
about
this
racism
that
going
around
in
the
school
district
and
that's
what
she's
actually
saying,
I
think
will
be
faster
to
solve
some
of
this
problem.
If
you
can
have
an
agency
who
will
focus
more
on
the
racist,
you
know
this
versus
the
racist
things
that
are
going
on
in
the
district
instead
of
you
on
the
principles
on
walking
on,
because
you
already
have
so
much
in
your
play.
B
A
A
This
has
been.
This
has
been
my
favorite
meeting
since
I've
been
here.
If
you
wanna,
if
you
wanna
meet
again,
let
me
know,
and
I'm
happy
to
do.
