Today
marks
a
significant
milestone
in
your
lives
as
we
celebrate
your
graduation
from
eighth
grade,
you
have
come
a
long
way
and
you
should
be
proud
of
all
the
hard
work
you
put
in
to
get
here
now.
As
you
move
on
to
high
school,
you
must
remember
the
lessons
that
you
learned
and
carry
them
with
you.
Always
one
of
the
most
important
lessons
you
learned
is
the
power
of
kindness
and
connection
as
Helen
Keller
once
said
alone,
we
can
do
so
little
together.
We
can
do
so
much.
A
D
D
The
first
step
in
your
high
school
career
is
to
provide
you
with
terrific
student
senior
mentors
they're
going
to
make.
You
feel
part
of
the
group
they're
going
to
guide
you
through
your
entire
first
semester.
The
senior
mentors
have
been
waiting
for
you
to
come,
The,
Next,
Step
I,
ask
you
to
do
is
get
involved
in
extracurricular
activities
or
Sports
become
part
of
the
fabric
that
makes
Byram
Hills
such
a
great
place.
D
The
third
step
find
out
what
you're
passionate
about.
If
you
don't
know
that
already,
there
are
a
myriad
of
great
programs
and
courses
that
await
you
as
you
progress
through
your
high
school
years,
explore
those
interests,
whether
it
be
science,
research,
Global,
Scholars
engineering
courses,
jewelry
making
and
metalsmithing
band
chorus
a
new
entrepreneurship
program.
The
list
is
endless.
D
D
He
was
passionate
about
sports,
but
from
the
announcers
seat
and
not
from
a
field
or
a
court.
The
student
is
now
announcing.
Most
of
our
major
games
at
the
high
school
has
established
himself
within
our
media
center
by
doing
interviews
with
players
and
has
secured
himself
a
summer.
Internship
shadowing
in
in
the
professional
field,
as
well
as
an
internship
in
our
own
athletics
department.
D
I
have
no
doubt
that
one
day
I'm
going
to
hear
him
on
television
that
isn't
Byram
Hills
TV.
He
figured
out
what
he
liked
and
we
helped
him
with
an
opportunity
that
never
existed
before,
find
out
what
interests
you
and
let
us
do
the
same
for
you
finally
make
a
few
close
connections
to
teachers
and
to
other
students.
You
meet,
broaden
your
horizons.
D
Most
importantly
build
those
relationships
at
home
with
your
family
by
learning
how
to
share
with
your
family.
It's
actually
the
only
thing
your
parents
really
want
when
I
was
your
age.
My
father
wrote
me
a
letter
for
my
graduation
from
eighth
grade.
People
did
stuff
like
that
that,
back
in
the
old
days
when
there
was
no
internet
in
the
letter,
he
told
me
about
all
the
gray
hairs
I
had
bestowed
on
him
and
he
recounted
all
of
my
little
kid
mischief.
D
D
The
fact
remains
that
my
dad's
letters
remind
me
of
my
Milestones.
He
was
a
part
of
them.
Parents
have
a
secret
power,
it's
called
love
and
it's
crucial
that
you
partner
with
them
through
this
journey,
my
own
children,
let
me
in
and
I,
am
better
for
it
class
of
2027.
tonight,
you're
going
to
walk
through
these
doors
to
the
freedom
of
Summer.
Doesn't
that
sound
awesome
just
know
that
we
will
be
here
waiting
for
you
in
September
and
we
are
ready
to
help
you
soar.
Congratulations
to
you
all
and
welcome
to
high
school.

J
We
would
also
like
to
thank
you
so
much
for
helping
us
make
the
DC
trip
possible
this
year
and
helping
us
push
past
through
some
tough
challenges
during
covid
and
everything.
G
K
I
would
say:
I'm
the
lucky
one.
You
guys
are
great
so
good
evening
and
Welcome
to
our
Board
of
Trustees,
Mr,
Scott,
Levy
and
Mrs
Mia
de
Pietro,
superintendent
of
schools,
Dr
lamia,
Deputy
superintendent,
Dr
Carlton,
Ecker
assistant
superintendent,
Miss
Cunningham,
High,
School,
principal
Mr,
Walsh,
esteemed
faculty
parents
and
Friends,
our
Rising
9th
graders.
K
We
are
here
together
to
celebrate
your
achievements.
Your
passage
to
high
school
after
your
undeniably
successful
three-year
journey
through
HC
Crittenden
I
know
that
I'm
speaking
on
behalf
of
all
of
your
teachers
and
your
parents
and
everyone
here
when
we
say
that
we've
watched
you
grow
and
we
can't
be
prouder
of
you.
I
said
that
today
and
I
meant
it.
You
guys
are
fabulous.
K
Here's
a
summation
of
some
of
the
most
poignant
memories
that
you
shared
the
brain
challenge.
It
was
fun
competing
as
a
class
each
and
every
year
there
was
so
much
energy,
and
sometimes
it
was
really
loud.
I
have
to
say
that
each
year
we
would
say,
do
we
want
to
do
this
again
and
then
we'd
watch
the
brain
Challenge
and
you
guys
compete
with
each
other
and
it
really
was
such
a
great
memory.
K
Another
answer
all
the
quality
time
with
friends
having
so
much
fun
at
intramurals
performing
and
winning
in
the
ping
pong
tournament
performing
in
the
spring
concert
this
year.
It
was
an
awesome
way
to
end
eighth
grade
being
part
of
the
mock
trial.
It
was
a
unique
experience
and,
by
the
way,
our
side
won,
creating
and
working
together
during
written
out
loud,
we
had
a
blast
imagining
our
stories,
the
X
door,
decorating
contest
our
group
really
came
together
and
our
door
was
really
positive.
K
Being
part
of
the
very
first
makers,
Fair
I
hope
this
was
the
start
of
a
new
tradition,
absolutely
hands
down
the
School
Musical.
It
was
the
greatest
experience,
starting
my
days
with
my
teacher
in
the
Learning
Center,
designing
the
roller
coaster
project
great
way
to
end
the
year
and
I,
really
like
this
one
I
had
to
keep
it.
This
was
just
by
someone
Mr
rasklin
popping
balloons
and
scaring
everyone
as
a
principal
I,
have
to
tell
you
that
I
was
so
grateful
to
read
how
many
responses
included
memories
of
our
faculty.
K
Finally,
overwhelmingly
you
the
class
of
2027
reminisced
about
your
eighth
grade
Washington
trip
over
75
percent
of
you
said
it
was
the
best
part
of
eighth
grade
no
contest,
so
first
I
must
share.
It
was
Mr
Ancona
in
my
favorite
memory
as
well.
You
see
we
hadn't
been
on
the
trip
in
four
years
back
in
September,
when
we
committed
to
going
not
gonna
lie.
We
did
so
with
a
little
bit
of
worry
and
trepidation
because
it
had
been
so
long
guys.
We
had
almost
forgotten
the
trips
power
to
build
community.
K
We
had
almost
forgotten
the
greatness
of
a
shared
experience,
such
as
the
DC
trip,
while
we
were
in
DC
whether
it
was
at
Pi,
the
pizzeria
at
Arlington
Cemetery
at
one
of
the
museums
on
the
bus
at
the
hotel,
and
especially
at
Pinstripes
Mr
and
Cohen
and
I
would
look
at
each
other
elated
savoring
each
moment
because
of
how
much
you
all
were
enjoying
being
together
on
this
adventure.
When
we
looked
around
it
was
clear.
Everyone
was
feeling
the
same
way
and
we
all
felt
connected
with
these
shared
experiences.
K
K
No
one
mentions
scrolling
Tick,
Tock
or
posting
a
video
on
Instagram.
As
the
most
memorable
and
yes,
it's
undeniable
that
almost
all
of
us
are
connected
by
one
or
more
electronic
devices.
It
could
be
your
phone,
an
iPad,
a
Chromebook
or
something
else
and
I
dare
point
out
that.
Probably
all
those
devices
are
close
by
right
now
and
I'm,
not
here,
to
tell
you
to
stay
off
your
phones
to
limit
your
use
of
a
device
or
to
lecture
on
the
pitfalls
of
Technology.
K
Instead
of
looking
at
a
screen,
our
brains,
light
up,
we're
fulfilled
just
look
at
what
you
shared
on
your
survey
and
consider
what
you
noted
as
most
memorable
and
how
you
felt
future.
Ninth
graders
I'm,
not
sure.
If
you've
heard
of
Dr
powderly,
he
was
a
great
man.
He
was
my
mentor.
He
was
a
principal
before
I
was
principal
for
many
years.
K
He
always
referred
to
the
middle
school
as
the
White
Water
of
adolescence.
We
all
know
that
these
years
had
their
peaks
and
valleys.
Yet
your
ride
through
those
white
waters
is
essential
for
you
to
experience
together.
Those
white
waters
allowed
each
of
you
to
learn
how
to
be
important
members
of
the
community.
Middle
School
is
a
time
when
you
end
your
brains,
have
learned
how
to
work
together,
how
to
problem
solve
how
to
manage
conflict,
how
to
advocate
how
to
negotiate
so
many
multi-dimensional
aspects
of
your
life.
K
Each
of
you
have
developed
those
skills
and,
as
you
have
attested
in
your
survey,
you've
really
enjoyed
your
middle
school
because
of
that.
So,
as
you
go
to
high
school
as
you
move
on
it's
okay
to
be
entertained
momentarily
by
a
screen.
Just
remember:
that's
one
dimensional,
more
importantly,
be
sure
to
pursue
those
multi-dimensional
opportunities.
Join
a
club
or
two
or
three
play
a
sport,
create
a
club
participate
in
the
musical
Dr
lamia
shared
many
many
ideas
with
you.
K
The
bottom
line
is
put
yourself
out
there
face
to
face
with
others.
Take
healthy
risks
that
push
you
to
grow
as
individuals
and
as
a
community
together,
remember
to
be
always
present
with
one
another.
This
class
is
special.
You
are
kind
you're,
funny,
you're,
courageous,
you're,
talented
you're,
committed
to
one
another
and
most
of
all,
you're.
The
class
of
2027.
keep
the
bonds
Strong
by
being
present
with
one
another
and
as
an
entire
class,
Mr
Ancon
and
I
wish
you
all
the
best
wishes
and
look
forward
to
all
the
ways
that
you'll
be
multi-dimensional.
K
K
B
Welcome
back
to
the
high
school
everybody,
it
was
so
great
to
have
you
here
yesterday
for
your
orientation.
I
was
reflecting
back
as
Miss
loppel
was
speaking
about
the
Washington
DC
trip.
I
was
it
was
in
1987
when
I
went
to
Washington
DC
on
my
trip
and
I
really
wish
that
we
had
cell
phones
back
then
because
it
would
have
occupied
my
time.
B
I
counted
it's
only
73
days
from
now
when
you
will
walk
through
our
doors
as
as
the
60th
class
in
the
history
of
Byram
Hills
High
School.
So
we
opened
our
doors
in
1966
and
in
that
first
year
there
were
no
seniors
here
before
that
everybody
went
to
Pleasantville
High
School
and
one
of
the
things
that
I
am
most
proud
of
at
Byram
Hills
as
the
principal
is
that
our
school
is
in
our
community
really
centers
around
our
schools,
Byram
Hills,
you
don't
really
find
it
on
the
map.
B
You'll
only
find
it
as
a
bunch
of
schools
together
that
are
in
the
in
the
business
of
educating
the
youth
in
the
area,
and
so
there
was
something
really
deliberate
that
the
community
did
to
bring
all
of
the
people
and
all
of
the
students
together
through
education
and
I.
Think
you'll
sense
that,
as
you
go
through
your
time
here
at
the
high
school,
how
much
it
is
valued.
B
So
as
the
60th
class
you're
going
to
create
your
own
identity
and
I,
see
Brady
out
there
and
I
know
that
his
class
created
an
identity
and
when
we
think
back
on
on
the
class
of
2022,
we
we
know
that
they
were
together
in
a
certain
way
that
created
a
memory
Collective
memory
for
us
and
the
class
of
2027.
You
will
do
that
as
well,
but
you've
heard
it
from
Dr
lamia
and
Miss
lapel.
There
are
really
three
things
that
you
should
do
in
high
school
number.
B
One
is
keep
hold
of
the
friends
that
you
have
but
extend
yourself
out
and
make
new
ones.
You
never
want
to
look
back
and
regret
not
having
developed
a
relationship
with
other
people.
The
second
thing
is
to
never
go
home
on
that
school
bus.
At
the
end
of
the
day,
we
have
way
too
many
things
for
you
to
do,
whether
it's
a
club,
activity,
theater
or
extra
or
or
Athletics.
You
always
want
to
be
involved
in
something
after
school
and
then
take
your
courses
and
do
it
for
the
learning.
B
So
again,
I
really
thank
you
for
all
of
the
effort
that
you
will
bring
to
the
high
school
to
continue
to
make
Byram
Hills
that
special
place.
I
want
to
thank
your
teachers
as
well
as
Miss
lapel
and
Mr
Ancona.
They
have
all
gotten
you
prepared
for
stepping
through
the
high
school
doors
and
going
to
your
classes
on
the
first
day.
So
on
behalf
of
the
students
faculty
staff
of
Byram
Hills
High,
School
I
would
love
to
welcome
the
class
of
2027.
so
welcome
to
Byram
Hills
High
School.
A
Okay
and
now
for
the
presentation
of
the
certificates,
which
are
actually
rolled
up
T-shirts,
the
certificates
will
be
handed
out
tomorrow
during
the
breakfast
and
if
your
child
won't
be
in
school
tomorrow,
we
will
mail
them
to
you
next
week.
