Coming

joining
us
Lisa

reflect
those
afternoons
after
our
buses
leave
and
we're
really
just
in
a
good
spot
here
at
Wampus.
Right
now,
it's
been
a
tremendous
start.
I
think
we've
reflected
that
in
some
of
our
blast,
but
that's
a
tribute
to
everything
you're
doing
to
prepare
your
children
to
come
and
get
back
into
the
transition
and
I
think
it
speaks
to
what
the
staff
faculty
and
staff
are
doing
here
at
Wampus
we're
here
now,
I
guess
this
is
one
official
week
and
it's
the
kids.

We've
had
assemblies
with
students
we're
reviewing
Simple
Rules
procedures,
but
the
most
important
thing
is:
we've
been
in
the
classrooms
and
the
classroom
communities
right,
that's
that's
the
big
thing
in
elementary
school
you
got
to
get
that
classroom
Community
right
from
the
beginning
of
the
year,
because
that's
really
the
foundation
for
really
good
learning
and
all
these
classrooms
we've
been
in
it
is.
We
are
so
happy.
So
thank
you
for
your
support
and
if
you
ever
need
us
for
anything,
obviously
you
know
where
we
are
for.

find
myself
very
fortunate,
because
I've
been
here
pretty
much.
My
entire
professional
career
I
started
out
as
a
guidance
counselor
at
the
middle
school
for
11
years
and
I
also
coached
at
the
high
school
in
the
middle
school.
During
that
time,
and
then
in
2018,
I
came
to
Wampus
with
Miss
mcinerney,
who
was
the
principal
over
at
Coleman
Hill
to
be
the
assistant
principal
and
then
a
little.

Go
through
all
this,
but
some
of
the
things
I've
been
involved
with
throughout
the
district,
but
really
coming
here
with
some
secondary
experience,
working
with
Miss
mcinerney
and
working
with
Miss
Palmer.
We've
just
really
come
together
in
this.
This
way
here
at
Upper
Elementary.
That
I
think
gives
us
really
the
perspective
of
the
entire
District
all
the
way
from
K
to
12..
We
we
have
it
covered.
We
have
different
experiences
and
we're
really
trying
to
take
things
that
worked
at
every
level
and
see
how
we
can
make
it
work
here.

about
myself.

have
had

pleasure
of
spending
now
22
years
in

Barnwell
School
District
I
did
start
off
teaching
in
the
city.
I
came
here
at
a
very
young
age,
I'm,
not
going
to
say
divulge.

anymore
and
so
I
did
start
off
15
years
over
at
Coleman
Hill
as
a
kindergarten
teacher
and
then
another
five
years.
As
a
fourth
grade
teacher
here
at
Wampus
and
then
now
entering
my
second
year
here
as
an
assistant
principal
and
to
speak
to
what
Mr
Mack
just
said
between
you
know
my
early
Elementary
experience
from
kindergarten
and
going
all
the
way
up
to
Mr
Mac's
experience
even
in
high
school.

practice
gratitude
and
really
put

key
Hands-On
experiences,
lessons
for
the
students
to
know
to
know,
learn
and
practice,
and
what
we're
doing
is
really
finding
a
way
to
make
it
school-wide
when

grade
level
assemblies
which
I'll
talk
about
a
little
bit
later

we
talk
about
how
we
can
practice
at
school-wide
and
how
we
can
practice
it
just
day
to
day
with
our
friends.
So
this
has
been
something
that
working
along
with
our
school
counselor.

really
falls
under
being
safe,
being
respectful
and
being
responsible.

simple
rules
that,
when
you
think
about
it,
kind
of
cover
just
every
good
thing
that
we
should
be
as
human
beings
and
with
that
said,
if
you,
when
you
look
online,
there
are
a
few
things
that
we
do
want
to
touch
base
with
and
as
we're
meeting
with
each
grade
level
we're
focusing
on
and
one
which
would
be
like
the
use
of
Technology
right.
And
so
we
know
here
we
are
in
the
hub.
This

talk
about
through
digital
skills
to
talk
about
you
know
being
responsible.

recognize
that
kids
go
in
a
lot
of
different
directions
after
school.
We
understand
the
use
of
a
gizmo,
some
parents
believe
in
having
kids
having
phones.
That's
your
right
as
a
parent.
We
just
ask
while
you're
in
school.
We
don't.

don't
want
this,
you
know,
but
that
if
you
can
keep
it
in
their
backpack
is
our
recommendation
because
it
just
gets
sticky
right.
It's
just
it.
These
kids
are
young
they're
learning,
as
Ms
Palmer
said
at
Coleman,.

They're
starting
to
learn
about
it
with
Mr
Lovelace
sure
the
teachers
are
reviewing
of
them
all
the
time,
but
we
just
really
ask
they
should
really
stay
in
the
backpack.
You
can
bring
them
I
get
it.
You
guys
go
in
a
million
different

you

to
be
able

they're
good

it's
a
matter

catching
students,

the
right
thing
and
walking

classes

know
the
different
classroom,
communities

saying:

a
great
job
and
really
even
extending
that
to
the
teachers
to
be
able
to
celebrate
their
classes
when
they're
doing
when
they.

So
sometimes
we
have
them
by
grade
level
right
now,
they're
small
right,
just
doing
it
by
a
grade
level
helping
the
third
graders
get
to
know
what
the
expectations
are
here
at
Wampus.
Fourth,
graders
letting
them
understand:
okay,
you're,
not
the
New
Kids
on
the
Block
anymore,
that
comes
with
some
responsibility
and
the
fifth
grader
is
helping
them
to
understand
all
of
the
responsibility,
and
you
know
chances
for
leadership
that
they
hold.
So
with
that.

We
have
students
that
are
already
at
the
end
of
last
year,
we
had
fifth
graders
lead
meetings
with
the
entire
school.
We
had.
Fourth
graders
lead
meetings
with
specifically
fourth
grade
and
already
this
year
we
actually
have
a
connection
with
a
high
school
child
who
has
an
organization
they're
running
at
the
high
school
and
they're
going
to
come
present
that
to
the
fifth
grade.

So
we're
looking
for
that
connection,
because
I
think
that's
what
builds
the
community
K
to
12
through
13
grades
of
school,
and
so
it's
it's
been
successful
and
when
these
kids
I
mean
the
other
day,
I
know
they're,
all
stopping
you.
I
have
an
idea:
Miss
Palmer,
it's
the
beginning
of
a
conversation
right,
which
some
of
them
lead
to
a
presentation
by
the
child,
and
maybe,
if
it
doesn't,
it
just
gets
them
thinking.
So
if
your
child
is
asking
you
about
that,
encourage
them,
because
that's.

to
type
out
what
you
want
most
out
of
your
child
in
Middle
School,
something
along
those
lines
and
the
number
one
response
was
Independence
and
confidence,
so
that
made
us
feel
really
good,
because
that's
what
we're
trying
to
accomplish
here
as
we
get
those
kids
ready
for
middle
school,
so
sorry
to
keep
interrupting.

do
finish
each
other's

again

Kate
squat

Kate's
welcome
next
restaurant
school
spirit
days,
and
so
with
that,
honestly,
you
know
we
walk
into
an
elementary
school.
You

feel

really
like
when
we
walk
in
and
we're
saying
good
morning
and
happy
Bobcat
say
it's
pajama
day:
it's
you
know,
Silly
sock
day
we
just
this
morning
we
were
brainstorming
of
other
possibilities.

school
spirit
is
probable
and
we
really
want
to
keep
that
going.
The
students
come
in
smiling
and
they
walk
out
just
talking
about
all
the
fun
things
that
happened
that
day.
We
want
to
keep
that
going
and
even
if
it
is
once
a
week
on
the
spirit
day,
Bobcat
Day
is
coming
up.
This
Friday
make
sure
that
your
child
is
wearing
either.
You
know
Bobcat
gear
or
red
and
blue.
That's
definitely
a
plug
later
on.

Thing
about
this
this
year
is
we're
aligning
the
home
coming
week
when
we
met
in
the
spring
as
a
district
for
the
calendar
meeting
we're
having
a
district-wide
homecoming
week.

we're
actually
going
to
do
the
same
days
as

high
school
and
middle
school
again
just
kind
of
a
connection
for
those
kids
to
see
everything
which
it's
exciting.

club
started
in

the
hallway

give
them
the
month
of
September
to
really
work
with
their
teachers
of
what
that
looks
like
appropriately

the

day

single
student

Encore.
Third,
fourth
and
fifth
grade
history
of
Encore
has
developed
about
20
years
ago
as
a
time
during
the
day
for
students
to
be
able
to
receive
any
Services,

need,

pulled
out
of
a
core
academic
subject.
It's
really
expanded
over
the
years
where,
if
I'm
in
third
grade
I
would
go
to
an
additional
special
every
single
day
right.

kind

kids

experience.
Those
pull
outs
in
fourth
grade
similar,
but
I
also
would
have
my
instrument
lesson
so
I
had
technology
we've
been
through
Lovelace

violin
lesson
on
Tuesday

may
go
to
speech,
Thursday
I'm
back,
and
if
it's
confusing,
don't
worry

it,

children,
I'm

it

their

music

K-12,
Mr
Mac
was
talking
a
bit.
We
have
General
music
in
third
and
fourth
and
fifth
grade
in
fourth
grade.
Some
of
your
children
have
been
starting
their
instrumental
lessons
in
fourth
grade.
They
don't
they're
not
in
an
ensemble
per
se,
they're,
not
in
the
Vandal
Orchestra,
but
they're
in
small
group
instruction.
Learning
the
how
to
play
their
instruments
in
fifth
grade
is
where
they're
still
staying
once
a
week.

I
was
in
three
third
grade
awkward
classes
and
the
excitement
they
have
with
their
beginning
recorder,
they're
practicing
that

and
which
hand
is
on
top
and
then
they're,
using
orphan
instruments,
Mr
Wolf

they
were
dancing
with
such
Joy
Mr
Pearson
from
yesterday.

was
such
a
joy
to
watch.

Fourth
and
fifth,
we
just
try
to
wrap
up
any.
There
really
aren't
a
lot
of
changes,
but
we
try
to
just
end
all
changes
by
the
end
of
the
month,
because

ensembles
are
off
and
running
and
they're
learning
their
different
parts.

if
there
is
some
kind
of
concern,
please
let
us
know
sooner
rather
than
later,
most
of
them
will
work
out
in
the
springtime
and
the
last
thing,
though,
it's
not
specific
to
music,
just
as
many
of
you
did

a
thousand
responses

Forum,

we
started
to
compile.
What
does

really

right?

the
funnier
things
was
I
love,
Broadway,
I,
love
them
more
right,
those
are
great,
but
what
are
we
going
to
put
in
a
mural
right
where
we
talked
about
Smith's
Tavern?
We
talked
about
recess,
we
talked
about
field
day.

talked
about
the
old
apple
orchards
in
Armonk,
and
this
artist
came
up
with
this
rendition
of
what
the
mirror
will
look
like,
and
then
we
went
through
a
couple.
You
know
changes
and
now
he's
actually
sketched
it
out
on
this
110
foot
wall
over
there
and
he's
going
to
be
working
with
the
students
the
second
week
of
October
to
actually
paint
it.
So
it's
a
way
the
idea
came
from
the
students.
The
students
are
going
to
be
involved,
painting
it
and
I'm
just
we're
just
so
excited
about
it.

flexible
seating
that
really
is
a
2022
and
23
Grant,
where
we
started
with
just
fifth
grade
now,
it's
in
third
and
fourth
grade.
So
basically,
every
single
classroom
in
the
building
has
this
flexible
seating,
this
wonderful
deck
that
is
utilized
just
a
great
organization.
So

on

and
reflect

rewarding
for
us

left

little
better
than

was
when
they
came
here.

cycles

that's

based

how

sections

have

the
school.

grade

grade.
We
have
eight
sections
in
third
grade:
there's
two
additional
art
classes:
there's
an
there's,
an
enrichment
for
all
class
there's
character,
strong
with
Ms
Schmidt.
There
is
an
extra
music
class
going
into
fourth
grade.
We
have
two
extra
phys
Ed
classes.

have
an
extra
art
class,
we
have
enrichment
for
all,
we
have
Hub.
So
those
are
those
I,
don't
want
to
say
placeholders,
but
that's
where
you
go.
If
you
don't
have
a
pull
out
right
and
their
design
really
project-based
learning
where,

you
are
pulled
out
on
Tuesday,
you
come
back
Wednesday
and
you're
not
like.
What's
going
on
right,
it's
all
based
on
that
self-pacing!
That's
intentional!
In
design
in
fifth
grade
we
have
enrichment
for
all.
We
have
the
Hub.
We
have
a
sustainable
arts
program
and
those
kids.

have
so

those

that
project-based
learning

think
it

speaks

what
we
do
with
secondary,
where
there's
just
different
options
