As we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week, we thought it would be fun to share with you a video about our special Teacher and Service Employee of the Year Prize Patrol. Congratulations once again to Teacher of the Year, T.C. Clemons, Service Employee of the Year, Lionel Hope and all of the outstanding finalists and nominees! Was completely shocked as a middle class and my kids are like what is going on and I'm like and I saw the board people and all the balloons and honestly I didn't think that I would be chosen as a finalist, because I looked on there there's so many great teachers, I was honored to be chosen by my colleagues, but I really didn't think that I would be one of the five. So I was really really really shocked.

I was like: oh no I appreciate it, because it's just not, you know recognizing me because there's a lot of other people that deserve it for all the cooks, so we you know, get recognized for what we do. I.

Was very surprised, we were doing the I ready right because that's what we're doing now and so we're doing that and he walked in and I'm. Like hmm that's interesting.

The Cavalcanti prize patrol in you, you have been nominated and are a finalist for the Cabell County hunter of the year.

I'm just truly blessed to be where I am and I feel like I've, been placed here for a reason.

Was shocked because there's a lot of deserving people I was humbled and shot.

Mr. Saxon, the crew walk and I was like whoa boo bloons. He is coming to all the schools to pump up the kids about the tests. You know and I said this is gonna, be wonderful. He starts talking I'm listening and then he says, mrs. Coleman I was like wait a minute. That's my name.

The phone is billing best. Maybe so I was totally surprised. They totally yeah. They got me.

You are a finalist for Cavalcanti service, Person of the Year. Thank you, I heard.

Mr. flowers come in and he was saying that he was taking pictures of her a room and I was like there's no reason to take pictures of her room and then I looked around and I saw mr. sax and I felt that I did win the lottery they made me feel very special and very precipitous, so it was. It was a great surprise.

I have no clue. I was totally taken by surprise. I was up in the front. I was doing a reading group here, I had kids on already doing their minutes, who people come in and then two more people come in and then another person I mean it just when I look out in the hall and I see the balloons, I was excited and my kids were excited too. So seeing that on their face was just it was. It was nice.

Dead flowers and Jason Jackson came in which you know that's not really unusual. Jason had a camera with him and dead so well. We're here to fill them a little project. So okay I said: do you need mr. Barnett yeah? We probably should have him as I'm texting mr. Barnett to come down one by one people start coming in, you know, see Jody Cunningham comes in and mr. Burnett comes in, and Tim Hardesty as hell and I think something's going on I'm like what's going on guys and then when mr.

sacks came in with the balloons- and he came around and congratulated me, yeah I was really surprised and really embarrassed because I had on Capri jeans that day and not my dress, clothes.

He wins the capital panic Teacher of the Year. He will represent all educators for Cavan County for the State Teacher of the Year.

Then I saw the picture. I thought it look like the main on the is the UPS thing or the a little hole man with the balloons. I thought it looked like that. I was like well, it's just. First of all, it's really hard to be nominated and to be put among there's a lot of great teachers in this county and I love to have them in my high school and just be able to represent them. It's really personal I, just appreciate it.

I'm all over there we got these kids they're just growing around. They can't keep still and I. Look here comes the superintendent. With this whole crew. I guess blew out it. Thank my heaven I'm trying to discipline these. Yes. Is it under quiet, ya, gotta, finally, quiet down I'm standing there waiting for me, then they call my name to come up well I about had a hard time. The Campbell County.

Control and we are back at Highland to recognize mr. hope as a finalist for Campbell County service Person of the Year I.

Had no idea but I really appreciate it. It was a wonderful surprise. My wife did a good job cuz. Normally she tells it all. She kept I had no idea what she was doing.
