From YouTube: Huntington High School Class of 2020 Graduation
Description
There's no doubt it was an unusual year for the Huntington High School Class of 2020. However, these seniors showed great perseverance in the face of crisis and were successful in earning their high school diplomas. Recently, the district was pleased to work with our friends at Marshall University to give these graduates the safe, in-person celebration they deserved. We are so proud of you! #BeAwesomeCabell # IAMCABELL
A
Well,
the
atmosphere
is
electric
I
mean
we're
really
excited
to
be
able
to
be
here
being
hosted
by
Marshall.
University
were
really
grateful
to
everyone.
Who's
made
this.
You
know
an
exciting
adventure
happens,
but
you
know
whenever
kovat
hit,
it
was
kind
of
a
scary
moment.
We
didn't
know
what
our
senior
year
was
gonna
look
like,
but
we're
really
proud
to
be
able
to
represent
our
school
years
and
walk
across
the
field.
Today,
this
it's
gonna
be
a
good
day.
B
Good
evening
and
welcome
to
Huntington
High
School's
24th
annual
commencement
ceremony
after
over
a
month
delay,
we
will
finally
be
having
our
graduation
in
May
and
it's
a
live
event.
So
we're
very
pleased
that
we
could
do
this
for
our
graduates
recognize
their
accomplishments
and
their
efforts
through
these
last
four
years
and
that's
been
obviously
a
rough
few
months,
the
end
of
their
career
thanked
and
I
so
I'm
glad
we
can
send
them
out
on
a
high
note
today.
I
hope.
C
C
D
Are
so
excited
to
be
able
to
honor
the
graduates
of
Huntington,
High
School
and
the
class
of
2020
right
here
at
the
Joan
C
Edwards
Marshall,
University
Stadium?
This
was
something
that
we
weren't
sure
we
would
be
able
to
pull
off
and
I
couldn't
be
prouder
our
graduates
of
our
graduates,
families
and
of
our
entire
community
for
making
this
happen.
A
Here
on
the
hill,
you
can
be
whoever
you
want
to
be.
You
are
a
Highlander
now
welcome
to
the
family.
These
words
will
become
the
framework
for
my
next
four
years
on
the
hill
as
a
part
of
my
new
family.
As
a
Highlander,
we've
been
exposed
to
the
state's
premier,
educators
and
facilities.
We
have
walked
the
halls
among
all
Americans,
Fulbright,
Scholars
and
tick
tock
stars.
What
is
a
wonderful
privilege
to
be
the
only
High
School
in
Kabal
County
to
win
a
WV
ssac
state
championship
this
year?
A
B
A
A
So
we
have
all
kinds
of
students
that
are
ready
for
the
workforce,
the
Military
College,
anything
that
will
be
on
that
and
we're
early,
a
holistic
student
and
that's
what
I'm
really
proud
to
be
a
highlighter
is
a
holistic
student
build
in
all
kinds
of
different
school
dances
are
always
a
lot
of
fun.
Football
games
are
fun,
I'll,
never
forget.
F
Mother
on
the
team
passed
away
the
beginning
of
our
junior
year,
a
player,
that's
a
very
close
friend
of
mine.
The
game
was
played
in
honor
of
her
and
was
a
true
testament
to
the
idea
of
family
that
is
so
deeply
ingrained
in
Huntington
High
and
especially
the
class
of
2020.
They
were
decked
out
in
yellow
and
screaming
their
heads
off
as
if
their
player
and
the
team
were
part
of
their
family.
It
was
an
amazing
experience
and
I
genuine
believed
as
an
accurate
representation
of
what
our
class
embodies.
Unity,
no
matter
race,
gender
sexuality.
B
B
So
again
that
they
can
find
things
that
that
are
that
just
drive
them
that
that
they
wanna
that
they're
fired
up
about
that
they
want
to
be
work.
Hard,
have
goals
that
they
want
to
achieve
and
work
towards
those
goals,
and
hopefully
they've
learned
lessons
here
at
Ange
and
I.
That
will
help
them
to
be
the
successes
that
they
want
to
be.
My.
D
Hope
is:
is
that
what
what
happens
today
carries
on
with
our
graduates
for
a
lifetime?
I
think
that
this
is
a
very
special
day
that
that
they're
gonna
always
remember
and
they're.
The
first
class
of
Cabell
County
schools
to
ever
graduate
at
the
Joan
and
I
think
that's
a
really
really
awesome
memory
that
they're
gonna
take
with
them
forever,
but.
H
Now,
as
we
stand
together
watching
the
Sun
Rise
on
the
new
day
of
our
future,
there
is
no
denying
that
we
will
face
great
hardships
as
we
work
towards
achieving
justice,
equality
and
peace,
as
well
as
ending
this
global
pandemic.
But
in
spite
of
these
challenges,
there
is
hope
we
are
that
hope
we
are
the
future
and
how
we
choose
to
develop
this
future
is
entirely
up
to
us.
Should
we
want
to
make
this
world
a
better
place
for
our
future
children?
We
must
do
so
together.
H
I
Us
cherish
our
memories
from
Huntington
High
and
use
the
knowledge
we've
garnered
and
the
relationship
you
formed
as
we
move
forward
through
uncertain
times
into
new
communities.
Many
have
helped
us
get
to
this
proud
day
and
we
have
helped
each
other.
Wherever
we
find
ourselves,
the
helpers
will
be
there
and
we
will
be
among
them.
