The
Caldwell
High
School
Marching
Band
brought
home
yet
another
trophy
from
The
District
3
competition,
nearly
3
000
high
school
students
from
around
the
Treasure
Valley
participate
in
the
season,
finale
for
local
school,
marching
bands
and
in
the
4A
division.
The
Cougars
won
second
place
overall
now
the
preparation
for
a
competition
like
this
takes
a
lot
of
time
and
effort
in
addition
to
practicing
in
class
every
day.
The
band
also
meets
two
days
a
week
after
school,
along
with
performing
at
halftime
during
football
games.
B
They
worked
really
hard.
They
did
everything
that
I
asked
of
them
to
do.
Marching
band
is
an
interesting
thing.
Everything
they
have
to
do.
We
have
to
do
multiple
movements,
they
can't
just
stand
and
play
so
either
they're,
marching
or
they're
doing
dance
type
moves
when
they're
playing,
and
so
we
did
a
lot
of
that
more
than
we've
ever
done
before,
and
they
just
keep
getting
better
and
better.
Every
year
this
year
was
exciting.
All
the
band
directors
were
giving
us
compliments
on
how
well
we
sounded
how
amazing
the
show
was.
It
was
really
exciting.
A
The
Cougars
theme
for
this
year
was
the
Nile,
the
River
of
Life,
with
musical
pieces
being
centered
around
an
Egyptian
setting.
The
40
student
marching
band
has
been
improving
every
year
and
out
of
the
25
schools
competing
in
the
entire
competition
Caldwell
placed
12th.
Overall,
congratulations
on
an
outstanding
season.
We
can't
wait
to
see
what
you
accomplished
in
the
years
to
come.
A
C
A
D
Even
for
quiet,
but
like
all
my
other
classes,
it
really
has
just
helped
me
like
I
can
just
go
for
it
like
I
know,
even
though,
if
I
fail,
I
have
like
the
confidence,
I
can
just
go
forward
and
I
will
learn
no
matter
what
me
being
accepted
in
was
just
kind
of
being
like:
okay,
hey
I
just
got
into
something
that
I
never
thought
would
be
in
until
maybe
like
my
junior
year
or
senior
and
now
I'm
like
well.
If
I
can
do
that,
I'm
sure
I
can
do
many.
Many
other
things.
A
Now
we
also
had
six
singers
selected
to
be
a
part
of
Allstate
over
1900
musicians,
auditioned
for
less
than
500
spots
between
choir
band
and
Orchestra
and
Caldwell
High
School
is
honored
to
have
had
a
six
singers
chosen.
Now.
If
you
would
like
to
see
the
magicals
perform
live,
you
still
have
two
more
chances
to
do
so
this
year
they
will
be
performing
at
the
Canyon
County
honors
choir
later
this
month,
and
their
holiday
festival
will
be
taking
place
here
at
Caldwell.
