funded
for

told

legislative
roadshow

it's
federal
funds-
and
they
cautioned
us
with
putting
that
on
their
salary
schedule,

happen
is
it
would
actually
reduce
our
general
fund
allocation
because
the
state
would
say.

percent

this
employee's
salary

with
federal
funds,
and
ninety
percent
is
worth
general
funds,
and
so
it
would
reduce
our
allocation
and
so
they've
launched
this
so
that'll
be
that'll,
be
something
we'll
discuss.

the
election
cycle
he's
going
around
touting
that
he's
put
two
years
worth
of
funding
in
there
as
his
win
for
the
legislative
session,
but
that
is,
as
I
mentioned,
that's
a
disservice
to
actual
school
districts.

saying

how
the
legislation
was
actually
written.
What
april
is
saying
is
correct.
It
was
a
one-time.

the
tuesday
meeting,
we
went
over
a
presentation
that
the
murray
group
was
our
broker
had
put
together
for
us,
showing
the
states
what
it
would
cost
the
district
to
join
the
state
plan
because-
and
I
can
certainly
share

documents

bring-
you
copies
if
you'd
like,
because
what
we
found
out
eric
was
on
the
call
ellie
was
here
and
so
they
went
through
and
it
would
cost
the
district
a
half
a
million
dollars
just
to
put
everybody
on
the
state
plan,
because
that
is
one
where
it
wasn't
funded
for
all
staff.

So
there's
no
denying
I
mean
the
individual
employee
paid
a
little
bit
more
than
we're
currently
paying,
but
that
was
definitely
that
one
benefit,
but
the
benefits
as
they
went
through
the
plan
really
weren't
as
good
as
ours
and

lot
of
respect.
Except
for
that.
You
know
that
family
coverage
amount
so
they're,
coming
up
with
a
couple
of
options
that
we'll
present
to
the
committee
and
as
we
always
do,
the
committee
will
come
back
and
make
the
recommendation
to
the
negotiating
team
as
to
how
we
want
to
proceed.

you
know
it
the
thing
is
it
comes
at
a
cost
right
it
does.
It
does
change
things
so
we'll,
but
we'll
present
that

come
back
and
have
a
better
idea
of
what
we
can
do
for
increasing
our
benefits,
because
we
did
receive
additional
funding.

doubt
about
that.

using
about
four
hundred
thousand
dollars
just
in
the
general
fund
of
the
of
the
money
that
was
allocated,
so
that
was
so
that's
a
balancing
act
right
because
there's
still
four
hundred
thousand
dollars
that
I
need

carve

work
in
the
general
fund,
but
we'll
get
more
into
that
when
we
talk
later
so
that's
worth
coming
with
insurance.

think
hardly
a
meeting
has
gone
by
that
we've
had
superintendent
council
with
administrators,
I'm
just
talking
about
what
our
classified
staff
will
pay
and,
as
you
all
know,
you
see
the
help
wanted
signed.
You
see

hours
starting-

you
know
we're
nowhere
near
that.

that
has
just
been
one
of
our
goals
is
to
try
to
get
to
the
point
where
we
can
be
competitive
in
the
community,
because
I'm
sure
your
schools,
you
see
a
lot
of
turnover
in
your
classified
staff,
and
that
is
part
of
the
reason
and
it's
really
hard
to
attract
and
retain
staff
based
on
the
salaries
that
we've
been
paying,
and
so
that
is,
that
is
one
of
the
tasks
I've
been
given
as
to
how
we
can
up
our
classified
salaries.

I'm
understanding
that
the
state,
the
seven
percent
increase
to
their
base-
that
is
great.
Unfortunately,
it
still
doesn't
mean
as
much
as
we
would
like
it
to
mean
so.

meetings

we
visit
the
different
schools,
we
get
out
of
meetings
and

those
janitors
that
are
cleaning
up
at
night

we
need
more

vocal,

said
we
don't

leave,

can

working

can't
afford

recruiting

retaining
that's
our
teachers

classified

so
they
have
asked
to
make
sure
that
that's
a
priority,

we
do
we're
very
much
aware
of
the
districts
around
us
who
are
increasing
their
hourly
rate

our

would
it's.

the

of

you

you're

about
the
taco
bell
granted
their
hourly
rates
are
higher.

we
have
a
very
rich
benefit.

think
we've

people

live
it
more

we
do,

turnover

finite

best

the

qualify
for

protected

the
prior
year,

don't
have
that
same
protection,
but
we
just
lose
enough

receive
less
support

has
been
great

we've

with
our
positions

today

with
the

for
administrators
was
increased
some
person,
so
it
was
classified.

on
our
support

administrators
we
qualify
for

that
is
where
it

into
play.
Then
you
have
your
base
salary,
multiplied
times

index

that's

get
our
funding
for
the
answer
so
you're
right.
So
the
support
units
drive
all
of
our
funding,
because
the
support
units
drive
how
many
fte
you
qualify
for.

how
the
support
unit
that's,
why
it's
important

keep

support
units
up
right
and

we've

grateful
for
the
enrollment
funding
for
this
next

been
very
helpful

the
base

only
calculated

small

qualify

have

secretaries

the
schools,
we
have
our
aides,
we
have
our
safe
school
a's,
a
lot
of
our
special
education
staff.
That's
where
those
are
all
the
people
out
here.

need

increase
the
base
