Let
us
hold
fast
the
confession
of
Our
Hope
without
wavering,
for
he
who
promised
is
faithful
and
let
us
consider
how
to
stir
up
one
another
to
love
and
good
works,
not
neglecting
to
meet
together,
as
is
the
habit
of
some
but
encouraging
one
another
and
all
the
more.
As
you
see
the
day,
Drawing
Near
good
and
gracious
father.
We
ask
that
you
help
this,
be
a
meeting
of
encouragement
of
Hope
in
you
and
of
love.
May
everything
we
do
be
done
in
love.
We
ask
this
through
Christ
Our,
Lord,
amen,
amen,.
A
A
A
Carries
that
brings
us
to
public
service
announcements.
We
unfortunately
want
to
take
this
opportunity
to
send
our
condolences
out
to
all
the
families
in
Nashville
that
were
impacted
by
the
school
shooting
that
happened
yesterday.
It's
very
unfortunate
that
in
this
country
we
have
too
many
way
too
many
of
these
occurring,
and
it's
just
very,
very
disheartening.
A
A
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
pass
that
along
air
condolences
to
his
family,
and
last
week
we
held
a
public
hearing
last
Tuesday
night
on
the
staff
recommended
2024
budget.
We
had
about
200
people
in
attendance
want
to
thank
all
those
people
that
took
time
out
of
their
schedules
to
come
in
that
night
and
offer
public
comment,
which
gives
us
guidance
that
that
was
the
kickoff
for
the
Commissioners
to
start
consideration
for
the
2024
budget
and
that
the
next
public
hearing
for
the
commissioner's
recommended
budget
will
be
May.
A
16Th,
7
P.M,
probably
here
too
so
and
also
on
tomorrow-
is
national
Vietnam,
War,
Veterans
Day,
so
I
want
to
take
a
moment
tomorrow
and
for
all
those
families
that
were
impacted
by
the
our
military
that
did
not
return
home
from
that
conflict.
A
There's
a
lot
of
things
going
on
tomorrow.
It's
also
National
mom
and
pop
business
owners
day.
So
in
Calvert
County
we
have
a
lot
of
small
business,
family-owned
businesses
and
if
you
get
an
opportunity,
go
out
and
support
those
businesses
and
thank
them
for
supporting
the
community,
they
hired
people
they
generally
give
back
to
the
community.
So
we
want
to
take
every
opportunity
we
can
to
support
our
local
mom
and
pop
businesses.
A
A
And
that
concludes
all
the
public
service
announcements
today,
and
that
brings
us
to
our
first
Proclamation,
which
is
month
of
the
young
child
director,
Moreland
and
county
commissioner
of
Grosso
good.
F
Morning,
Commissioners
Jennifer
Moreland,
director
of
Community
Resources
for
Calvert
County
government.
It's
a
pleasure
to
be
here
today
to
recognize
month
of
the
young
child
I
actually
started
my
career
with
United
Way,
promoting
investments
in
early
childhood
and
so
I'm
still
working
at
it.
Full
circle
and
I've
worked
with
all
of
these
directors
and
agency
directors
for
many
many
years,
you're.
F
Just
commenting
on
the
fact
that
I
had
babies
at
the
time,
they're
all
in
college
in
high
school
now
so
I'm
here
today
on
behalf
of
the
members
of
Calvert
County's
Early
Childhood
advisory
Council
and
the
inter
agency
Council
for
children,
youth
and
families
to
recognize
April
as
month
as
a
young
child
Early
Childhood
is
a
very
unique
time.
It
offers
a
very
critical
window
of
opportunity
to
shape
the
development
of
to
shape
a
child's
development
and
build
a
foundation
for
their
future.
F
Children's
brains
are
built
Moment
by
moment,
as
they
interact
with
their
environments
in
the
first
few
years
of
life,
more
than
one
million
neural
connections
are
formed,
each
second,
a
pace
that
is
never
repeated
during
these
years.
Every
experience
that
a
child
has
helps
to
create
the
brain's
architecture.
To
this
end,
the
quality
of
a
child's
preschool
experiences
can
be
key
predictor
of
their
success
in
school
and
in
life
in
Calvert
County.
We
are
so
fortunate
to
have
many
high
quality
Early
Childhood
programs
that
serve
our
community.
F
This
year,
the
family
Network
partnered,
with
Early
Child,
provide
Hood
providers
to
support
our
community's
youngest
Learners
by
offering
Workforce
Development
trainings,
covering
the
cost
of
membership
to
the
Maryland
state.
Child
Care,
Association
person,
purchasing
learning
materials
for
the
classrooms
and
providing
funds
for
Calvert
County
daycare
association's
annual
conference
with
me
today
are
several
child
care
providers.
I'd
like
to
introduce
you
to.
We
have
Brenda
Terrell
and
she's
going
to
speak
next.
F
G
G
Don't
ask
me
that
question
I,
don't
have
that
answer
no
I'm,
proud
to
say
yes,
I
also
help
coordinate
the
Calvert
County
director's
Network
here
in
the
county,
where
we
all
come
together
and
work
together
on
all
the
problems
not
only
of
business
but
of
regulations
and
of
what
to
do
with
these
children
at
different
age
stages.
G
We
meet
that
way.
I've
been
providing
child
care.
This
is
our
35th
year.
This
in
Calvert
County
this
year
in
September,
can't
believe
that
either
Jennifer
will
we
go
way
back.
What
we
do
during
the
day
we
know
is
of
great
significance
to
the
children
is
we're
preparing
them
for
school,
for
the
public
school
system
and
they're
getting
lots
of
opportunities,
experiences
early
childhood
education
as
they
spend
some
of
them,
spend
up
to
12
hours
a
day
with
us.
G
Five
days
a
week,
so
their
parents
can
work
and
it's
great
for
the
economy,
it's
great
for
taxes
and
we're
also
employing
a
lot
of
Calvert
County
residents.
Some
of
these
programs
have
five
to
fifty
employees
in
each
of
their
programs,
so
they're
vital
here
in
Calvert
County,
and
we
really
appreciate
you
recognizing
that
during
month
of
the
young
child-
and
you
know
we're
not
Mom
and
Pops,
but
most
of
us
are
Moms
and
Pops,
so
we'll
celebrate
again
with
Mom
and
Pop's
business.
G

I
J

F
J
L
M
Hello,
my
name
is
Lucrezia
Esser,
and
this
is
my
director.
Ashley
Berry
and
I
have
been
in
child
care
for
30
years
over
30
years.
It
started
as
in-home
daycare,
and
now
we
recently
opened
our
first
center
in
Huntingtown
and
we
have
been
very
successful
lots
of
all
of
our
you
know,
day
care,
centers
family
day
care.
Centers
has
been
just
a
wonderful
opportunity
for
us
and
serving
the
community
I
want
to
say
that
I
was
born
in
Italy.
M
I
came
to
this
country
when
I
was
18
and
I've
learned
a
whole
different
language.
I've
learned
English
and
I've
learned
to
type
had
my
first
job
with
ups
for
eight
years
and
then
started
doing
child
care
because
it
was
hard
to
find
good
quality
child
care,
so
that
just
you
know,
pushed
me
to
do
that
and
I
have
been
doing
that
ever
since,
and
we
are
just
so
very
excited.
I
can
be
here
and
tell
you
all.
J
N
N
I
brought
my
two
directors
with
me
today:
Jessica
o'callaghan
she's,
the
director
of
Bright
Beginnings,
one
and
Colleen
Wagner
she's,
the
director
of
bright
beginnings,
2.
and
combined
in
the
centers
we
service
over
100
families
in
the
Calvert
County
area.
Thank
you
so
much
for
having
us.
O
Is
our
partnership
with
Calvert
County
family
network
has
been
around
for
five
years,
but
the
hippie
program
itself
has
been
in
Calgary
County
since
1999,
and
some
of
these,
ladies
in
the
room,
I
know
them
because
we
have
worked
with
them
for
many
many
years
and
I
am
so
excited
to
be
the
program
coordinator
for
all
three
of
those
programs,
because
we
are
touching
the
lives
of
children
before
they
come
to
school.
So
I'd
like
to
think
of
us
as
the
bridge
between
home
and
school,
along
with
these
wonderful.
O
F
H
P
On
back
before,
we
have
a
picture,
we're
going
to
read
the
proclamation,
but
I
am
so
honored
to
be
the
commissioner
to
read
this
proclamation
to
all
of
you.
The
kench
Grosso
grandchildren
have
gone
through
a
couple
of
your
I.
Don't
want
to
call
them
daycares
they
were,
they
were
nurturing
centers.
They
were
educational,
centers,
two
very
important
things
for
young
children,
the
four
grandchildren
who.
L
P
Benefactors
of
your
facilities
started
school
and
have
done
very
well.
You
gave
them
a
great
great
start
to
go
into
the
school
system.
I
did
what
you
do,
but
in
my
home
for
about
five
years,
it's
not
an
easy
job.
There
are
some
days
you
don't
even
comb
your
hair,
because
you're
caring
for
babies
and
and
little
ones
with
boo-boos
said
just
nurturing
and
rocking
and
breeding
and
giving
them
a
good
start
in
life,
while
their
parents
are
at
work
so
I.
Thank
you
all
for
what
you
do.
P
P
Secure
and
prepares.
Children
to
succeed
in
school,
live
healthier
lives
and
earn
higher
wages
as
adults,
and
whereas
the
future
of
our
community
depends
upon
the
quality
of
the
Early
Childhood
experiences
provided
to
our
young
children
now
for
now,
therefore,
be
a
proclaimed
by
the
board
of
County
commissioners
of
Calvert
County
that
April
2023
be
known
as
the
month
of
the
young
child
in
Calvert
County,
urging
all
residents
to
recognize
and
support
the
needs
of
young
children
in
our
community.

J
D
Good
morning,
and
do
we
have
some
coaches
to
get
this
started?
I'm
gonna
come
up
in
I.
Want
everybody
to
introduce
yourself
what
you
do
and
then
come
on
up
front.
S
S
J
J
H
U
D
Right
I'm
gonna
read
this
for
him
first
Katie
and
then
we'll
get
him
lined
up.
So
as
I'll
read
this
first
and
then
we'll
do
the
picture
so
I
want
to
say
thank
you
for
coming
and
I
want
to
say.
Thank
you
to
Patrick
praise.
He
has
kept
me
involved
in
your
guys
program
for
years,
and
it
seems
like
this
is
a
tradition
to
have
you
guys
up
here
seems
like
every
year.
I.
Have
you
guys
up
here?
D
So
congratulations
again
and
you
know
mom
and
dads
I'm,
not
telling
you
think
you
don't
know,
especially
if
you're
new
to
the
sport,
but
it's
a
whole
family
thing.
You
know
my
wife
never
cared
anything
about
football,
till
Zach
started
playing
and
you
know-
and
it's
just
you
know
it's
it's
the
whole
family.
You
see
the
sidelines,
it's
you
know
it's.
What
are
we
doing
this
weekend?
You
know
that's
what
we're
doing
as
a
family.
You
know
in
a
time
where
it's
easy
to
have
distractions.
You
see
families
and
I'm,
telling
you
guys.
D
You're
gonna
have
friends.
This
group
right
here
you're,
going
to
be
friends
forever
I'm
an
old
man,
but
when
I
was
your
age,
there
is
still
a
picture
of
me
from
that
time
as
scary
as
it
is
with
my
teammates.
That
makes
it
out
on
Facebook
every
once,
while
I'm
54.
so
46
years
ago.
That
picture
was
taken
and
it's
still
out
here
and
I
mean
I.
Just
have
a
love
for
football,
I
mean,
and
you
guys
know
how
tough
it
is.
I
mean
if
the
place
getting
ready
to
start
and
somebody
jumps
off
sides.
D
What
happens?
That's
right,
that's
right
kills
the
play.
You
know
if
the
play
is
going,
you
can
run
it
for
a
touchdown
in
the
garage.
A
guy
holds
what
happens,
kills
the
touchdown
right
I
mean
it's
the
ultimate
team
sport.
You
guys
learned
teamwork,
friendship,
you
know,
and
you
will
be
friends
forever.
You'll
make
it
to
high
school
play
against
buddies.
It's
just
the
coolest
thing,
I
love
it!
How
we
support
it
in
the
county
and
I
love
how
the
parents
always
show
up
I'm.
D
Just
when
I
get
there
on
weekends,
I
go
wow,
you
know,
you
think.
There's
like
a
band
showing
up
or
something
like
that,
I
mean
it
is.
It
is
a
great
thing:
I'm
honored,
that
you
guys
are
up
here,
and
you
have
me
here
to
read
this
to
you
and
I'm,
so
impressed
hold
those
trophies
up
again.
Let's
see
that
that's
some
good
stuff,
that's
some
good
stuff,
all
right!
D
Think
about
that
to
get
down
to
Tennessee
folks
I
mean
think
about
that
Bobby,
not
impressive,
Patrick
told
me
about
that
years
ago.
I
said:
really
you
get
everybody
yeah
I
mean
that's
just
that's
just
awesome,
whereas

R

I
am
just
speaking
for
myself
and
my
comment
is.
It
sounds
like
like
a
great
purchase,
it's
not
clear
to
me
exactly
how
it's
going
to
be
used
and
I
didn't
hear
that
today,
which
is
why
I
signed
up
that
in
advance,
because
I
hadn't
heard
as
much
as
I
would
have
liked
to
have
and
I
must,
must
have
missed
it
in
in
the
publicly
proclaimed
places
where
it
was
covered.
I'm,
not
exactly
sure
where
that
is,
but
sorry
about
that.

I
just
don't

why
this

needs
to

more

beautiful

I

E
E
E
My
concerns
are
that,
even
though
the
document
had
mentioned
that
it
was
for
Barstow
appeal
and
but
we
didn't
have
any
future
use
and
for
this
amount
of
money
for
us
not
to
spend
a
little
bit
and
think
a
little
bit
longer
about
the
future
for
just
the
amount
of
money
that
we
are
going
to
need
in
other
places
before
we
purchase
something
and
that's
what
we're
going
to
use
it.
For
so
I
appreciate
your
reconsideration
of
going
forth
with
this.
A
So
I
guess
I
can
try
to
address
some
of
the
concerns
from
the
callers
about
the
purpose
of
the
property.
You
know
we
as
kind
of
Commissioners,
just
don't
buy
property
to
buy
property.
Some
of
you
may
under
may
remember
that
about
a
year
ago
there
was
a
lot
of
discussion
about
the
sewage
treatment
plant
in
Prince
rhetoric
and
some
capacity
issues
for
water
disposal.
A
The
the
plant
as
I
understand
has
processing
a
capacity,
but
they
were
very
limited
on
capacity
to
discharge
the
water
that,
after
the
process,
is
complete,
so
this
property
is
adjacent
to
our
property
that
we
already
own
there.
If
you're
not
familiar
it's
right
across
J.W
Williams
Road
from
the
community
college,
so
it
joins
up
to
the
property
we
already
own,
where
the
convenience
center
is
and
therefore
connects
up
to
where
the
sewage
treatment
plan
is
so
it's
going
to
provide
and
we've
done
soil
tests.
A
The
soils
are
perfect
for
a
land
application
of
gray,
water,
I
guess
for
lack
of
a
better
term
and
as
some
of
you
that
use
the
comeback
to
facility
on
Stafford
Road
know
that's
very
tight.
In
there
we've
tried
to
make
changes
to
our
compactor
sites,
make
them
more
user
friendly,
more
better
suited
for
us
to
move
in
and
out
when
we're
changing
out
boxes
if
you've
been
to
the
site
at
Lusby
in
the
site,
up
at
Sunderland,
you've
seen
the
new
compactor
sites
and
they're
much
more
convenient
friendly
for
consumers.
A
So
there's
always
been
a
plan
to
try
to
do
that
there
on
Stafford
Road,
but
we
also
have
a
facility
there
for
county
road
maintenance
and
it's
very
congested
for
any
of
you
that
go
in
there.
So
we
looked
at
this
property
as
an
opportunity
to
put
in
a
new
convenience
center
and
also
address
the
issues
for
the
water
and
sewer
treatment
plant.
So
it's
in
no
way
intended
to
add
more
density
or
help
with
expansion
of
the
Town
Center
I.
A
Think
you
all
that
pay
attention
and
understand
that
we
recently
took
some
actions
to
reduce
expansions
in
the
Town
Center.
So
there's
a
we
certainly
don't
have
any
intention
of
purchasing
this
property
to
expand
the
town
centers
as
far
as
purchase
price.
You
know
we
use
an
appraisal
system
which
is
government
approved
where
we
get
several
appraisals,
and
those
of
you
that
are
familiar.
A
Tax
assessments
are
based
on
current
use
and
when
you're
an
appraisal,
it's
based
on
best
use,
so
there's
generally
always
a
significant
difference
between
the
tax-based
use
for
forested
land,
as
opposed
to
best
use.
So
you
know,
while
purchasing
this
purchasing,
this
property
provides
two
necessary
uses
for
us.
It
also
is
going
to
reduce
that
density
that
could
have
occurred
on
that
property
in
at
some
future
time.
So
what
the
balance
of
the
land
that
we
don't
use
for,
our
two
intended
purposes
will
just
be
forested
we've.
A
A
We
have
limited
print
availability
now
to
do
advertisements,
but
generally,
if
you
go
to
the
County
website-
and
you
can
find
those
notices,
so
I
hope
I've
addressed
some
of
the
concerns
that
were
issued
by
the
public
and
understand
that
this
board
does
not
take
lightly
expenditure
of
taxpayers
since
dollars.
But
we
felt
this
was
a
very
important
purchase
and
serves
needs
of
the
citizens.
So
that's
why
we're
here
today?
A
So
if
there
are
any
questions,
commissioner
Mr.
X
President,
so
just
to
clarify
one
thing
and
correct
me:
if
I'm
wrong,
J.R
the
spray
irrigation,
we
won't
be
clear:
cutting
the
trees
it'll
be
for
the
spray
irrigation
just
be
lanes
for
the
spray
irrigation,
correct,
correct.
A
A
A
motion,
a
second,
that
we
close
the
record
to
exercise
the
option
by
authorizing
the
board
president
to
sign
the
purchase
and
sale
agreement
on
behalf
of
the
board.
Is
there
any
other
discussion
on
that
motion?
Hearing
none
all
those
in
favor
say
aye
aye
opposed
the
motion
carries.
Thank
you
director.
Thank.

The
local
County
share
request
2
million
two
hundred
twenty
six
thousand
forty
dollars,
while
requested
State
share
of
4723
257
dollars.
The
Boe
CIP
budget
typically
includes
financial
support
from
both
the
local
and
state
levels.
The
local
support
is
funded
by
debt
and
excise
tax,
while
the
state
support
is
listed
under
grants.
Other
conclusion:
recommendation
staff
recommends
that
the
bocc
signed
the
revised
IAC
letter
of
support
for
the
boe's
2024
Capital
Construction
program.
AA
AA
So,
yes,
as
Veronica
stated,
the
state
did
reopen
the
CIP.
Normally
they
fund
about
280
million
dollars
across
the
state
for
CIP
projects
this
year
they
appear
to
be
flush
with
cash,
so
they
have
upped
the
CIP
to
450
million.
They
had
essentially
asked
school
districts
to
identify
projects
that
might
be
eligible,
and
we
understand
that
we
are
pretty
locked
in
on
our
local
allocation
on
our
local
commitment.
So
we
wanted
to
identify
projects
where
there
would
not
be
a
need
for
additional
local
dollars,
but
we
could
actually
capture
some
State
money.
AA
So
that
is
what
we
did
so
the
mutual
Elementary
School
wealth
system
replacement
project.
We
had
money
from
the
county
for
that
in
a
prior
CIP.
However,
the
project
does
involve
significantly
more
than
just
drilling
a
well.
We
do
have
to
go
currently
we're
in
the
acquire
system
we
have
to
go
to
the
Patapsco,
however,
as
part
of
that,
there
will
have
to
be
additional
water
treatment
inside
the
building,
which
is
going
to
require
a
little
bit
of
modifications
to
the
existing
mechanical
rooms.
AA
So
we
can
keep
the
allocation
at
the
local
level
that
we
had
already
gotten
approved
on
a
prior
CIP
and
we're
just
asking
for
the
state
allocation
to
be
able
to
do
that
project.
The
Sunderland
Elementary,
that
is
an
HVAC
project
that
will
replace
the
remaining
HVAC
equipment
at
Sunderland,
Elementary
School,
barring
what
has
already
been
awarded
which
is
taking
place
this
summer,
and
that
is
the
chiller
and
a
large
rooftop
unit
that
those
were
the
critical
pieces.
Those
are
already
being
done.
This
project
is
a
future
project
that
essentially
replaces
the
remaining
HVAC
equipment.
AA
This
is
for
the
design
piece
of
that
that
particular
project
we
will
have
as
a
for
the
construction
funding.
We
will
come
back
in
a
future
CIP
for
that,
so
we're
just
asking
the
state
for
the
design
money
now.
So
that's
essentially
the
two
projects
we
already
have
the
local
allocation
for
the
design.
Already
it
was
already
identified
in
the
CIP
when
we
came
before
you
several
weeks
ago.
D
I'm
always
looking
ahead,
but
you
know
the
state's
been
aggressive
with
these
programs
of
hey
we're
going
to
put
it
out
there,
but
you
need
local
support
for
it
to
happen,
and
I
would
just
like
that
caution
that,
with
future
projects
come
in
that
I
think
we
should
look
at
it
as
a
team
before
we
accept
money
and
start
projects,
because
I
don't
want
you
guys
to
sign
off
on
something
that
we
can't
do
and
then
it
all
comes
politics.
Oh
you
don't
support
education.
D
You
know
what
I
mean.
Every
single
thing
is
not
supporting
a
project.
You
know,
I
mean
it's
it's
it's
not
everything's,
not
political,
you
know
so
so
if
at
least,
if
we
know
it's
coming,
we
can
prepare,
and
you
know
what
I
mean
and
I
know.
You
understand
what
I'm
saying,
but
you
know
it's
just
like.
D
If,
if
you
know
you
have
a
big
insurance
bill
coming
at
the
house
or
something
you
start
to
plan
and
prepare
for
it,
so
you
know
when
a
project
just
pops
up
like
Hey,
we're
gonna
build
a
this
this
and
this
maybe
we're
not
prepared
for
it
or
maybe
there's
another.
You
know
what
I
mean
so
I'm
just
cautioning
as
my
20
as
future
projects
come
that
we
really
all
need
to
be
on
the
same
page
before
we
accept
or
commit
to
anything.
AA
D
Oh
I
know
I,
know
I'm
not
talking
about
today,
but
I'm
just
talking
about
future
projects
because
it
gets
you
know
sometimes
ago.
Well,
there's
State
funding
for
this,
and
our
piece
might
be
small
for
that,
but
the
back
end
of
that
project
could
be
large.
So
it
might
you
know.
Sometimes
we
have
folks
that
live
in
just
just
that
Year's
budget,
not
looking
forward
and
I'm,
not
saying
anything
in
particular,
but
you
know
I'm,
just
planting
that
seed
that
it's
just
a
lot
easier
for
all
together.
AA
I
understand
and
I
appreciate
that,
and
we
do
absolutely
try
to
do
that
with
with
rcip
and
and
that's
why,
when
we
come
to
you,
we
do
present
projects
in
terms
of
the
immediate
year
that
we're
looking
at
plus
the
five
years
out,
because
we
do
have
that
plan
in
place
and
obviously
some
things
will
move.
They
may
have
to
shift
back
because
they're
not
as
critical
as
we
thought.
AA
You
know
if
we
have
a
project
that
is
being
planned
for
five
years
from
now,
but
that
equipment
appears
to
be
doing
better,
that
project
might
get
pushed
back
or
it
might
have
to
move
forward
because
we're
experiencing
some
failure.
So
we
we
do
absolutely
try
to
do
that
and
I
appreciate
that
your
feedback.
X
So
I
did
have
one
question:
What's
the
total
price
tag
on
that
Mutual
elementary
school
project.
So.
H
AA
That
is
for
because
the
state
again
does
provide
for
design
as
well,
so
that
is
for
the
entire
design
as
well
as
construction.
Okay,.
A
A
AA
A
AA
D
D
A
AA
AA
It
is
a
six
inch
well,
in
addition
to
the
well,
we
need
to
provide
for
the
chlorination
and
water
treatment
which
will
occur
inside
the
building,
so
there
will
be
demolition
of
and-
and
that
includes
the
abandonment
of
the
existing
well,
which
that
part
does
not
cost
much
money
it
really
most
of
the
cost
is
in
the
well,
and
the
cost
of
the
well
alone
is
about
three
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars.
A
I
just
think
moving
forward.
It
would
be
more
honest
to
include
total
costs
and
maybe
for
the
reasons
of
this
letter
to
the
state,
it
doesn't
have
to
show
the
local
match,
but
there's
a
local
match,
but
this
thing
says
it's
zero.
So,
as
my
fellow
Commissioners
have
said,
it
looks
like
the
state's
funding
the
whole
thing,
but
they're
not.
A
A
AA
Well,
we
would
have
probably
had
to
come
back
for
more
money
in
order
to
to
do
the
the
well.
D
AA
I
think
the
sizing
of
the
well
the
depth
of
the
well
and
the
fact
that
it
is
a
serving
a
school
and
there
are
there's
water
treatment
requirements
imposed
through
Maryland
Department
of
environment,
have
a
lot
to
do
with
the
cost
of
a
commercial
project
to
provide
water
service
for
a
school
and
a
school
population.
So
I
think
that
that
there
are
certainly
different
requirements
versus
a
residential
home.
So
I
would
say
that
that's
probably
the
most
overarching
answer
that
that
answers
that
you
know.
D
AA
No,
there
will
be
existing
piping
that
we
will
tie
into
so
we're
not.
We
are
certainly
using
what
we
can
to
get
to
the
building.
However,
a
new
well
will
be
required.
AA
D
And
I
understand
the
need
for
it.
That's
that's
not
a
question.
Oh
it
just
always
seems
like
when
it's
the
government
dime
that
these
numbers,
like
they
don't
even
blink
I,
mean
just
in
my
little
bit
of
time
on
the
board.
What
I've
watched
cost
go
to
I
mean
Millions
upon
millions
of
dollars.
It's
like
well,
this
I,
just
I
mean
I,
see
materials.
All
the
time
and
I
mean
these
costs
are
two
to
three
times.
D
AA
We
have,
we
haven't
bid
this
out
yet
because
we
like
to
get
money,
you
know
we
have
to
do
the
application
and
then
we're
we're
getting
several
prices,
but.
D
AA
That
250,
wouldn't
have
had
design
of
it,
was
essentially
based
on
just
drilling
a
well
and
not
necessarily.
There
was
some
water
treatment,
but
it
wouldn't
have
had
design
costs.
We
were
given
a
price
originally
for
a
well
within
the
Patapsco,
which
is
the
aquifer
that
we're
going
into.
However,
the
need
for
the
well
is
deeper.
They
do
have
to
go
into
the
lower
Patapsco,
so
there
is
a
greater
length
that
is
needed,
and
that
is
because
of
the
water
quality
reports
that
they've
received.
AA
So
the
scope
has
increased
in
the
sense
that
the
well
does
have
to
be
deeper
and
then,
as
far
as
so
so,
there
is
a
little
bit
of
a
scope
increase,
certainly
and
the
design
was
not
included
within
the
original
250
000.
This
is
going
to
require
significantly
more
design
design
of
the
water
treatment.
The
well
is
significantly
more
expensive
than
we
thought
because
of
the
because
the
scope
has
changed.
So
why.
L
P
AA
So
the
the
original
scope
of
what
we
thought
that
the
well
was
going
to
entail
was
essentially
drilling
just
a
new
well,
so
it
would
have
had
minimal
design,
which
we
thought
that
we
could
cover
Through,
an
operational
budget
line
that
we
have
called
capital
outlay
and
because
the
scope
is
significantly
greater
than
we
originally
thought,
the
design
becomes
significantly
greater.
So
that
is
now
included
within
this
full
price.
AA
So
I
guess
that
would
probably
be
the
best
way
for
me
to
answer
your
question.
The
other
piece,
that's
important
to
note,
too,
is
that
there
are.
You
know
there
are
water
treatment,
bladder
tanks
and
other
pumps
Etc
within
the
mechanical
room
that
are
included
as
part
of
this
full
system
for
the
you
know,
for
the
for
the
well
replacement
project,
so
essentially
kind
of
sizing
that
out
the
design
associated
with
that.
That
would
be
included
with
this
that
we
were
initially
not
going
to
do
because
it
wasn't.
P
Well
to
commission
our
hearts
comment
in
the
beginning,
I'm,
beginning
to
see
the
CIP
projects
while
they
sound
great
and
they
do
a
tremendous
service
to
the
community.
Once
we
complete
a
project,
then
we
come
back
and
then
we
have
to
be
cognizant
of
the
fact
that
you'll
have
a
well
problem.
You'll
need
a
new
HVAC,
so
CIP
just
doesn't
begin
and
end
over
a
five-year
period.
We
have
to
be
cognizant
when
we
take
it
on.
We
have
to
upkeep
what
we
are
putting
in
place
for
the
community
was
at
your
point,
Mike
well.
D
And
just
the
fear
of-
and
you
know,
we've
had
this
discussion
for
years.
I
don't
want
anybody
to
get
a
misconception
that
well
hey
the
state
office
it
out
there.
We
have
to
jump
on
it
because
we
may
not
be
able
to
I
mean.
Sometimes
you
know
we
just
we're
not
going
to
be
able
to
I.
Remember
we
made
a
purchase
one
time
and
commissioner
William
said
you
know
it
was
the
best
price
at
the
worst
time.
You
know.
Sometimes
timing
just
doesn't
go
in
sync
and
I
mean
not.
D
You
know
and
there's
going
to
be
things
hey
septic
water
I
mean
basic
things.
You
know
that
this
board
is
going
to
make
sure
it
happens,
no
matter
what,
but,
but
we
get
into
building
projects
Sometimes
some.
You
know
that
we
go
well
they've
offered
this,
but
if
they're
not
paying
for
the
whole
thing,
then
that's
going
to
just
require
a
discussion,
and
not
just
you
should
I
know.
There's
a
lot
of
people
around
you
that
that
and
then
you
come
up
here
with
that.
D
But
I
mean
and
there's
a
lot
of
different
Avenues
out
there
for
funding
for
this
another.
But
just
to
be,
we
just
all
need
to
be
on
the
same
page
that
we
know
what
we're
getting
into
kind
of.
A
AA
A
J
A
Have
do
you
have
fun
balance
and
CIP
projects.
AA
Just
so
I'm
understanding
correctly
are
you
asking
do
we
have
allocated
CIP
money
in
reserves?
That's
left
over
I
think
we
may
have
some,
but
we
usually
try
to
identify
that
and
try
to
roll
it
into
other
projects.
We've
come
back
before
you
and
done
that
several
times.
So
as
of
right
now,
I
don't
think
that
there's
much
I
know
we
allocated
some
of
the
savings
that
we
thought
we
had
from,
for
example,
Southern,
Middle
Schools
HVAC,
and
we
were
putting
it
towards
the
visitor
bleachers
at
Northern
High.
AA
A
AA
A
AA
AA
You
know,
we've
we've
already
allocated
some
of
that
money.
Enrolled.
Z
A
Z
We
can
find
out
she,
we
do
look
at
money
she
has
left
over.
We
do
keep
track
of
that
and,
like
I
said,
it's
usually
like
in
the
hundreds,
it's
not
a
large
amount,
particularly
in
the
last
few
years.
Z
Costs
have
gone
up
significantly,
which
has
also
impacted
her,
so
she's
had
to
do
very
creative
financing
and
construction
projects.
But
to
her
point
with
this
money,
the
states
already
taken
the
money
and
it's
a
matter
of
who
they're
going
to
give
it
to.
Of
course,.
D
Z
D
D
It'll
do
another
jurisdiction,
but,
and-
and
we
have
to
have
this
and
and
there
are
things-
yes,
you
have
to
have
and
I'm
already
ready
for
the
hate
mail
to
come,
but
I'm
sorry
I
worked
for
a
gentleman
that
said,
there's
needs
and
wants,
and
sometimes
there's
a
lot
of
needs,
but
you
prioritize
needs
water
is
water's
going
to
go
right
to
the
top
right.
You
know,
I
mean
that's
gonna.
D
You
know,
but
I,
remember,
being
part
of
sessions
that
we
started
talking
about
fluorine
and
things
of
that
nature,
and
that
was
life
and
death
too,
and
since
I've
had
this
job,
everything
is
life
and
death.
Every
single
requested
and
I
say
to
myself.
Well,
we
don't
have
it
today
and
we're
still
making
it
work.
You
know
so
I,
you
know
the
eyes
are
going
to
have
to
change
a
little
bit
because
I'm
telling
you
I,
even
without
a
crystal
ball.
This
real
estate
belt
is
going
to
pop.
D
We
see
interest
rates,
going
up,
people
going
to
the
grocery
store,
I
mean
funding,
is
going
to
get
challenging
and
very
challenging,
and,
and
we
have
to
check
you
know
before
I
got
here,
it
was
raining
and
there
was
no
steps
and
there
was
no
coals
and
there
was
no
projects
and
then
all
of
a
sudden
you
know
we
got
a
little
reprieve
and
now
boy
the
go
button's
been
hit.
So
we
have
to
reel
some
of
this
back
in
and
you
know
I
mean
and
I'm
not
talking.
D
You
know
and
not
soap
boxing,
you
but
I
know
you
deal
with
the
people
that
go
hey.
That's
out
there,
that's
out
there
and
they're
only
looking
to
take
care
of
that
project.
They're,
not
looking
at
the
overall
health
of
everything,
and
that's
just
all
I'm
asking
is
that
you
know
before
it
makes
it
to
that
sheet
of
paper
before
it
goes
out
and
says
you
know:
hey
we're
doing
such
and
such
blah
blah
blah
that
we
just
pause
for
a
second
and
just
take
the
time
and
get
together
as
a
group
and
go
okay.
A

This
was
coordinated
with
the

of
the

and
I
want
to
thank
Barbara

with
the
social

who
worked
particularly
on
assisting

in

this
and
our

who

to

that
this
was
needed
updating.
Probably
a
year
ago,
okay,
yeah
thanks

W
D
Need
a
motion:
yes,
sir.
All
right
I
make
a
motion
that
the
boc
authorizes,
the
repeal
of
resolution
38-93
and
the
reenactment
of
the
updated
resolution
with
the

Second,.
A
A
X
Y
My
name
is
Julie
oberg
I
am
director
of
Economic
Development
and
I
will
go
ahead
and
get
started
by
reading
the
memo
background,
ordinance,
36-22
established
a
tourism
development
incentive
Fund
in
Calvert
County
and
requires
revenue
from
the
County's
accommodation
tax
to
be
distributed
into
that
fund.
Y
Y
Assistance
to
businesses
to
businesses
and
organizations
may
be
awarded
to
businesses
and
organizations
with
a
valid
and
complete
Calvert
County
Special
Event
permit
application
for
the
current
fiscal
year
and
an
amount
not
to
exceed
twenty
five
thousand
dollars
per
organization
per
fiscal
year.
Awards
will
be
subject
to
the
availability
of
funds.
The
approved
award
amount
will
be
transferred
directly
from
the
Department
of
Economic
Development
to
the
county.
A
Y
Y
Much
money
so
in
FY
23
we,
the
hotel,
Accommodations
Tax
allocation.
The
revenue
coming
into
the
county
is
budgeted
at
475
000.
As
of
today
they've
collected
479.
Y
724.71
cents,
so
75
percent
of
that
goes
to
marketing
to
attract
businesses,
visitors
to
the
county,
so
that's
380
000,
and
then
we
have
that
would
leave
95
000
to
help
offset
a
special
event
permit
fees
and
then
five
percent
of
that
goes
to
help
administer
the
fund.
Last
year.
I
can
note
that
in
FY,
22
hotel
tax
revenues
were
750,
000
budgeted
and
that
we
actually
collected
622
303.
Y
There's
there's
still
a
few
other
hotels
throughout
the
county.
I'd
have
to
get
back
with.
A
A
D
Y
Y
It's
hard
to
say
but
they're
you
know
hundreds
and
we're
not
collecting
a
fraction.
So.
A
A
L
Y
Pot
and
then
there's
the
grant,
the
grant
yeah
hold
a
special
event,
and
that
would.
Y
Y
So
so,
if
you're
hosting
a
special
event,
that's
open
to
the
public
held
in
whole
or
in
part
under
County
owned
or
operated
property,
excluding
special
events
held
at
County
parks,
so
anything
that
triggers
a
special
event
permit
now
the
Gen
that
would
require
you
to
get
special
services
through
the
support
services
through
the
county.
That's
going
to
require
you
know,
Public,
Safety,
or
what
else
roads,
Sheriff's
Office
yeah.
A
Y
Y
Qualify,
yes,
but
I,
don't
yes,
they
do.
D
D
P
A
L
V
Good
morning
Commissioners
Jared
Cosgrove,
acting
director
of
Public,
Works
and
I,
have
with
me
James
Ritter
deputy
director
Enterprise
funds.
V
T
T
On
January
of
this
year,
the
board
of
County
Commissioners
directed
the
staff
to
begin
the
process
of
repealing
resolution
32-16.
T
As
part
of
that,
the
new
resolution
would
limit
the
requirement
for
greater
than
one
water
edu
and
one
Waters
one
sewer
edu
for
residential
customers,
so
so
as
part
of
moving
forward.
We
are
currently
in
the
process
of
that
rate
study
that
you
mentioned,
and
that
rate
study
is
looking
at
our
current
rates
and
future
rates
to
make
sure
that
our
rates
provide,
provide
sufficiency
and
provide
a
magnum
to
the
forecast,
revenues
and
expenses
for
future
rates.
Then
the
capital
impacts,
so
Water
and
Sewer
has
met
with
the
consultant.
T
They're
also
looking
at
our
current
rate
history,
as
well
as
our
customer
classes,
and
what
usage
is
based
on
those
customer
classes,
as
well
as
our
our
current
operational
data,
to
include
our
assets
and
our
kind
of
our
asset
Age,
and
what
our
projected
replacement
schedules
are
to
feed
that
into
it
as
well.
T
And
then,
in
January
of
this
year,
the
bucc
directed
DPW
to
provide
enhanced
educational
Outreach
to
residential
and
Commercial
customers
on
various
related
topics,
to
increase
conservation,
transparency
and
awareness.
So
of
that
we
are
targeted.
Customer
Outreach,
we
generate
work,
orders
for
all
customers,
residential
customers
involved
in
the
audit,
and
we've
completed
135
of
those
work
orders
and
of
those
we
identified,
eight
issues
that
we
worked
with
those
customers
on
and
a
majority
of
those
related
to
irrigation
systems
and
irrigation
usage,
as
well
as
leaks
and
irrigation
systems.
T
D
Here
let
me
ask
you
something,
so
you
know
obviously
there's
some
there's
some
obvious
things
jump
off
the
page
I
mean
if
you've
got
sprinklers
going
every
day.
You
know
the
average
person
wouldn't
know
how
much
gallons
like
I
was
shocked.
To
hear
I.
Think
Matt
was
telling
from
the
health
department
I
forgot
how
many
gallons
a
day
just
a
leaking
toilet
can
do.
D
Is
there
a
way
to
kind
of
get
a
little
information
out
there
saying
you
know
if
you
have
a
sprinkler
covering
ten
thousand
square
feet
of
yards,
say
two
or
three
times
a
day?
What
that
gallonage
is
going
to
look
like
you
know
on
average,
and
you
know
and
and
because
that's
you
know,
that's
something
that
a
lot
of
folks
they,
they
probably
don't
think
about
I
mean
I
I,
don't
know
how
much
pressure
washing
does
I
mean
everybody.
D
Does
it
twice
a
year
I
mean
you
know,
but
now
field
pool,
that's
obvious.
You
got
a
30
000,
gallon
pool.
You
know
you
just
put
thirty
thousand
gallons
on
there.
I,
don't
think
these
systems
were
designed
for
filling
pools.
Obviously
they
can
do
it,
but
you
know,
but
but
just
some
some
of
that
stuff.
D
T
D
T
I'm
not
sure
we
don't
have
an
exact
number.
The
ones
we
know
about
specifically
are
ones
that
have
subtraction
meters,
but
other
than
that
we
don't
have
any
data
on.
You
know
how
many,
how
many
people
have
irrigation
systems
so.
X
Commissioner,
Hart
to
your
point,
one
of
my
big
question
was
everybody's:
getting
ready
to
turn
on
their
sprinkler
system.
You
only
need
one
inch
inch
and
a
half
a
week
to
water,
your
lawn
and
just
this
month
in
the
irrigation
magazine,
it
comes
out
with
Hunter
any
one
of
your
heads
how
much
it
puts
out
per
gallon
per
minute
and
it
also
had
a
good
sprinklers
with
a
purpose.
Okay
pressure,
that's
behind
your
sprinkler!
If
it
goes
normally,
the
sprinkler
heads
are
30
PSI.
X
T
C
T
So,
looking
at
those
eight
customers
that
we
directly
interacted
with
and
help
with
those
issues,
if
we
looked
at
their
usage
between
the
fourth
quarter
of
22
and
the
first
quarter
23,
we
saw
it
359
000,
gallon
reduction
in
usage.
A
large
part
of
that
was
due
to
irrigation
system
leaks.
D
T
Yes,
they
said
they
knew,
they
had
a
leak
and
they
just
took
a
while
to
fix
it.
I
guess
they.
C
T
So
also
part
are
that
customer
engagement,
we're
working
with
Communications
and
media
relations
and
economic
development
to
develop
educational
materials
that
it's
a
variety
of
content.
That's
going
to
be
delivered
over
several
different
Medias.
Our
methods.
Excuse
me,
through
your
website.
T
Press
releases
and
social
media
and
DPW
is
also
meeting
with
CMR
weekly
to
go
over
ways
that
we
can
collaborate
better
and
increase
public,
Outreach
and
awareness
yeah
and
then
again
we're
also
doing
a
multi-department
collaboration
between
DPW,
CMR
and
economic
development
to
engage
the
business
Community
to
provide
information
about
usage
and
conservation,
and
then
we
will
be
providing
Outreach
correspondence
to
offer
courtesy,
meter
checks
and
conservation
practices
for
the
business
Community.
Similar
we've
done
with
residential.
H
I
Where
it
does
our
copper
County
water
come
from.
There
are
two
sources
of
fresh
water:
surface
water
and
groundwater
or
aquifers,
we're
on
a
water
bearing
Rock,
readily
transmits
water
to
Wells
and
springs.
It
is
called
an
aquifer,
Wells
can
be
drilled
into
aquifers
and
water
can
be
pumped
down.
Precipitation
eventually
adds
water
into
the
coarse
Rock
of
the
aquifer.
Here
in
southern
Maryland,
we
depend
on
aquifers
for
the
vast
majority
of
our
water
supply.
These
aquifers
include
honeypoint,
ninja,
Moy,
the
acquire
McAfee
and
lower
Patapsco
aquifers.
I
The
Piney
Point
nangemoi
aquifer
is
primarily
used
for
small
water
users,
such
as
self-supplied
residential
users
and
small
businesses.
The
acquire
aquifer
is
the
primary
source
of
public
water
supply
within
Calvert
County.
Altogether,
dozens
of
community
water
systems
are
currently
using
dozens
of
Wells
that
draw
from
these
primary
aquifers.
How
does
this
water
get
to
us?
I
I
County-Owned
Public
Water
Systems
deliver
to
approximately
5470
customers
throughout
caliber,
in
addition
to
other
public
water
systems
that
are
not
owned
by
the
county.
The
water
Distribution
Systems
are
comprised
of
more
than
77
miles
of
water
means
750
fire,
hydrants,
14,
elevated
storage
tanks,
12
Hydro,
pneumatic
Tanks,
A,
standpipe
and
other
water
infrastructure
components
that
make
it
possible
for
clean
water
to
be
delivered
to
the
County's
residential
institutional,
Industrial
and
Commercial
customers.
L
A
L
A
V
Somebody
excited
about
they're,
looking
at
the
race
study
over,
like
James,
said
all
of
our
customers
they're.
Looking
at
the
the
revenue
we
need
to
generate
in
order
to
I,
guess
maintain.
You
know
our
business
model
they're
looking
at
the
capital
projects,
what
they
cost:
the
use
of
equipment,
the
life,
longevity
of
our
equipment,
it's
all
I,
guess
more
or
less
a
balancing
act.
I
guess
you
could
say
between
what
we
need
to
spend
and
what
we
need
to
bring
in.
Just
like
any
other
business
model.
A
X
L
X
I
would
like
a
comparison
when
we
do
get
this
new
study
compared
to
where
we
were
2003
2005
different
rate
models,
because
we
had
another
one
between
2015
and
18,
just
a
comparison
to
where
we
are
now
to
where,
where
we're
going
now.
Okay,
the
other
thing
I,
might
add
the
enhance
billing
software.
How
close
are
we
to
that
to
getting
that
to
completion.
V
V
X
A
T
Yeah,
it
was
leaking
out
once
in
their
yard
when
they're
standing
from
the
work
order.
Okay,.
D
W
Sure
the
board
adopted
a
resolution
in
1989
intending
to
maintain
the
order
and
decorum
of
the
governmental
process,
and
the
copy
is
found
here
to
my
right.
The
ethics
commission
has
asked
that
we
remind
speakers
of
public
comment
that
lobbyists
include
those
who
speak
to
influence
public
policy
and
lobbyists
must
register
in
advance.
Floor
has
been
open
for
public
comment.
First
from
persons
in
the
meeting
room
who
may
begin
making
their
way
to
the
microphone,
then
there's
joining
virtually.
W
All
speakers
are
asked
to
identify
themselves
and
whether
speaking
as
an
individual,
where
you'd
be
allocated
two
minutes
or,
as
the
designated
representative
of
a
group
will
be
allocated
five
minutes
for
those
attending
virtually
please
press
star,
nine
or
use
the
raise
your
hand
function.
Virtual
speakers
will
be
identified
by
the
last
four
digits
of
their
phone
number
or
their
screen
name
and
unmuted
one
at
a
time.
R
Estes
and
I'm,
representing
myself
and
I,
wish
I
had
the
speed
of
Buddy
Hanson
speaking
so
so
I'm
going
to
I'm
going
to
be
talking
about
the
the
cab,
the
county,
Administrative
Building
again
last
week,
I
learned
that
that
building
was
about
to
go
into
groundbreaking
mode
in
the
summer
and
I
also
heard
that
the
underbuilding
parking
is
still
a
part
of
it
and
I
have
no
idea
what
the
what's
going
on
with
storm
water
management.
That's
not
what
I'm
here
to
talk
about
it.
R
So
you
know
in
the
cost
of
that
under
building
parking
is
roughly
depend
on
who
you
believe,
half
million
dollars.
You've
heard
that
before
and
I'm
not
talking
about
the
amount
of
money
I'm
talking
about
the
process
today,
the
process
where
I've
you
know
I've
talked
to
you
all
about
it.
I've
talked
to
Public
Works
about
it
over
the
last
I,
don't
know
six
months,
nine
months,
whatever
it
was
so
and
yet
you
know
it
doesn't
appear
that
necessarily
we're
being
listened
to
get
back.
R
In
the
days
when
playing
commission
was
getting
information
from
staff,
they
were.
The
commission
was
given
information
that
made
them
feel
comfortable.
They
were
told
that
the
parking
was
a
security
enhancement.
I
talked
to
a
lieutenant
in
the
sheriff's
office.
He
says
no,
no
one
ever
talked
to
us
and
in
fact
he
said
that
it
doesn't
add
anything
to
security.
Then
the
commission
was
told
that
the
state
wouldn't
share
any
parking.
So
I
went
to
the
state
and
they
said
hey
it's
a
good
idea.
R
You
don't
need
any
more
parking
we
can
share,
but
that's
as
far
as
I
could
go,
of
course,
because
I'm,
not
an
official
and
even
the
County
Commissioners
at
least
one
that
I
know
of
did
not
even
ask
for
this
special
parking
and
I
was
told
by
now,
not
with
us
Public
Works
official
that
well,
wouldn't
it
just
be
nice
to
have
that
that
parking
that
protects
the
Commissioners,
that
we
only
have
five
of
them,
but
there's
18
spaces.
R
So
it's
clearly
a
perk
I
mean
there's
no
other
way
of
putting
it.
It's
an
unnecessary
perk
and
it's
I
would
hope
that
that
this
space
I'd
like
to
see
it
corrected
that
something
be
done
about
this.
Maybe
it's
too
late,
all
the
engineering's
been
done,
but
if
it
does
go
in
I
think
it
ought
to
be
for
the
handicap,
for
the
special
employee
recognitions
and
not
for
department
heads,
they
can
walk
like
anyone
else.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
U
Good
morning,
Commissioners
Joseph
Cormier
here
again
speaking
on
behalf
of
myself,
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
all
of
the
support
staff
at
the
County
government
who
winning
today's
making
today's
agenda
happen
and
all
the
consent
items.
B
U
The
presentations
support
staff
really
are
the
backbone
of.
L
J
L
L
U
Another
100
plus
family,
so
it's
going
to
be
a
great
night.
It's
just
indicative
of
how
important
our
support
staff
are
every
day
to
the
school
days,
not
just
the
teachers.
So
when
the
blueprint
says
teacher
teacher
teacher,
the
blueprint
did
nothing
for
support
staff
and
I
hope
that
you'll
be
able
to
work
with
the
board
bed
to
get
them
to
put
something
in
writing
with
the
sports
app
Union
to
ensure
that
those
staff
are
given
cost
of
living
and
raises
can
commitment
with
their
professionalism
and
everything.
U
U
Aren't
named
in
the
blueprint
it's
just
important,
we
recognize
all
of
our
staff
for
all
the.
U
X
C
C
3961.26
I
was
very
well
attended.
There
was
a
lot
of
volunteers.
There
had
the
opportunity
to
interact
with
a
lot
of
them
and
that's
their
other
home
I
mean
these
people
show
up
put
in
eight
hour
day,
just
like
it's
their
work
day.
I
believe
some
of
them
even
had
as
many
as
like
seven
eight
thousand
hours
cumulative
volunteer
hours,
which
it's
accumulative
of
what
going
to
work
as
a
volunteer
every
day
for
about
four
years,
five
years,
something
like
that.
C
It
was
very
impressive.
It
was
the
first
time
I've
been
to
that.
It
was
very,
very
impressive.
That's
all
I
have.
P
P
Me,
as
was
our
eldest
son,
the
same
day
earlier
in
the
day,
I
attended
a
Mako
wrap-up
meeting
in
Annapolis
and
they
provided
a
luncheon
afterwards,
but
the
wrap-up
meeting
was
was
very
interesting.
P
I've
come
to
appreciate,
Mako,
really,
surprise,
surprise,
but
I've
enjoyed
it.
I've
enjoyed
it
and
to
know
the
nuts
and
bolts
behind
all
of
the
counties
and
to
be
be
participatory
in
the
voting
and
to
hear
different
counties
points
of
view.
It's
it's
been
very
interesting.
Thank
you.
D
Thank
you,
Mr
Hart
I
enjoy
some
of
Mako,
but
not
all
I
also
was
at
the
count.
Marine
Museum
volunteer
dinner
as
well,
and
that's
just
the
best
of
us.
You
know
volunteerism
I
mean,
as
so
many
of
my
fellow
Commissioners
have
said
it.
They
don't
look
for
any.
Thank
you
or
anything.
D
Most
folks
would
never
even
know
and
they're.
Just
incredible
folks.
We
and
we've
seen
that
through
the
county
with
so
many
folks
that
helped
smile,
and
so
many
other
things
from
our
volunteers
with
their
EMTs
and
firemen,
so
that
it's
just
what
a
great
event
I
also
went
to
help
MC
I'm
going
to
say
this
right
at
the
therapeutic
recreation
duck
race
on
Sunday,
so
I
vowed
to
them.
We
will
make
it
bigger
next
year.
D
Calvert
County,
it
is
a
great
great
great
fundraiser
and
I
will
make
sure
that
I
do
my
part
to
help
get
that
word
out
there
beforehand,
but
some
of
the
folks
they've
been
doing
it.
One
young
lady
since
I'm,
seeing
it
for
seven
years
and
just
what
a
great
event
and
then
you
know
on
the
parks
and
recs
employees.
D
D
There's
always
you
can't
go
to
a
store
and
get
as
much
help
as
you
can
from
our
folks
out
there
I
mean
you,
try
to
ask
somebody
where
something
is,
and
they
say
it's
over
there
and
I
always
hate
that
you
go
in
a
store,
it's
got
97
owls
and
where
is
it
over?
There
I
never
seen
a
shelf
called
over
there,
but
apparently
there
is
one
and.
D
You
know,
but
they're
just
outstanding
and
so
I
told
them
I
would
help
plug
this.
There
is
an
Easter
egg
hunt,
April
2nd,
total
time,
12
30
to
3
at
Halloween,
Point,
Park,
so
very
important
on
these
times
at
1,
30
we'll
be
ages
three
and
under
145
ages.
D
Four
to
five
2
p.m
will
be
ages,
six
to
eight
and
at
2
30
9
to
12,
and
there
is
a
weather
hotline
just
in
case
there's
any
questions
that
day
will
be
for
410,
535-1600,
extension,
2640
and
once
again
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
all
them.
A
A
Want
to
thank
my
fellow
Commissioners
for
coming
out
because,
as
commissioner
Allen
commissioner
Cox
have
already
talked
about,
it's
amazing
what
those
volunteers
do
down
there
and
I
went
back
Saturday.
It
was
otter.
Mania
I
took
my
grandsons
and
our
family
in
a
Solo,
same
volunteers.
There
Saturday
morning
they
didn't
feed
me
again
but
well,
and
director
Murray
was
here
this
morning
said
they
had
over
1600
people.
There
Saturday
they
set
a
new
record
and
the
gift
shop
did
over
ten
thousand
dollars
worth
of
business.
So
it's
it's
an
amazing
place.
A
If
you've
never
been,
you
need
to
go
and
see
it
for
yourselves
and
then
Saturday
afternoon,
I
went
to
the
concerned
black
women
of
Calvert
County's
award
event
where
they
recognized
10
women
for
their
outstanding
contributions
to
the
community
here
in
Calvert
County,
and
that
was
held
at
the
rescue
squad
and
there
was
probably
100
people
there
so
and
then
let
me
see
what
else
did
I
do.
A
Yesterday,
I
had
to
go
to
Annapolis
for
a
senate
confirmation
because
apparently
I'm
a
new
member
of
the
critical
areas
commission
for
the
state
of
Maryland.
Congratulations
good
we'll
see,
but
I
did
bump
into
some
of
my
old
friends
from
back
in
the
day,
so
it
was,
and
it
was
the
quickest
I've
ever
been
to
Annapolis.
If
we
could
just
get
our
bill
hearings,
because
somebody
was
looking
out
for
me
because
they
had
confirmation
hearings
last
night
for
probably
200
people,
I
was
number
five
on
the
list.
A
A
And
once
again,
we
want
to
extend
our
condolences
to
the
families
that
were
impacted
by
the
shooting
in
Nashville
yesterday,
and
also
to
the
family,
to
build
Burger
family
for
his
loss,
and
tomorrow
is
national
Vietnam
War
veterans
day.
So
we'll
make
sure
we
keep
all
those
Vietnam
veterans
in
our
thoughts
and
prayers.
I
believe
that's
all
I.
Have
commissioner
I'm
slacking.
A
A
X
A
I
have
immersed
in
a
second
that
we're
going
to
the
exact
session
and
I
do
have
discussion
for
that
motion
not
relevant.
This
coming
Sunday
46
years
ago
was
the
best
day
my
wife,
when
she
said
I,
do
so
wow.
