A
I
am
Hannah,
as
you
know
from
this.
This
is
the
sixth
episode.
Now
we've
gotten
pretty
yes
pretty
far
along
I
am
an
animal
health
technician
at
the
Linda
l
Kelly
animal
shelter
in
Prince,
Frederick
Maryland-
and
this
is
our
specimen
sweet,
sweet
Maggie.
She.
A
Pretty
cute,
she
came
in
with
another
pupper,
a
very
chill
black
lab.
He
already
has
been
adopted,
but
so
it
appears
the
I
mean
she's
lived
with
another
dog
before
maybe
like
a
more
chill
dog.
If
you're
looking
for
another
I.
B
A
Stressful
for
the
pets,
even
though
we
try
to
make
it
as
least
stressful
as
possible,
but
it's
still
not
their
home,
but
she's
been
she's
been
a
fine
gal.
What
do
you
think
anything
that
you
know
much
I
haven't
got
to
spend
a.

B
B
A
C
S
of
spaying
and
neutering
your
pets.
In
a
nutshell,
spay
neuter
refers
to
the
process
of
surgically
removing
the
gonads
to
prevent
reproduction
in
females.
The
ovaries
and
part
of
the
uterus
are
removed.
In
some
cases,
only
the
ovaries
are
removed
in
males
the
testicles
are
removed
by
having
your
pet
spayed
or
neutered.
Your
pet
is
getting
much
more
than
just
preventing
an
unexpected
litter.
C
Females
spayed
before
their
first
heat,
have
virtually
zero
risk
of
developing
mammary
cancer
in
the
future.
When
spayed
after
their
first
heat,
the
risk
of
mammary
cancer
is
still
reduced
by
over
80
percent.
This
is
super
important,
because
ninety
percent
of
mammary
cancer
in
cats
is
malignant
and
25
to
50
percent
of
cancer
in
dogs
is
malignant
intact
or
unspayed.
Females
are
also
at
risk
of
developing
pyometra,
a
severe
uterine
infection
that
can
cause
severe
illness
and
even
death.
C
Spaying
virtually
eliminates
the
risk
for
a
pyometra
for
males
neutering,
eliminates
the
risk
of
testicular
cancer
and
certain
prostate
diseases
such
as
prostate
enlargement
and
infection.
Other
benefits
of
neutering
males
are
that
it
decreases
certain
nuisance.
Behaviors
such
as
urine,
marking,
humping
and
even
running
away
from
home,
the
spay
neuter
process
is
Surgical
and
requires
your
pet
to
be
under
general
anesthesia.
C
Most
spay
neuter
surgeries
are
brief
and
is
minimally
invasive
as
possible,
making
recovery
relatively
Easy
by
the
second
or
third
day
after
surgery.
Most
pets
are
acting
like
nothing
ever
happened,
and
if
I
can
just
get
on
my
soapbox
here
for
a
second
in
my
professional
opinion,
pet
breeding
should
be
kept
to
a
minimum
and
left
to
The
Experts
experienced
responsible
pet
breeders
are
dedicated
to
the
betterment
of
their
breed
and
they
perform
several
genetic
and
health
tests
before
making
the
choice
to
breed
an
animal.
Any
practice
short
of
this
is
irresponsible.
C
B
Hello,
I'm
Brandi
I'm
an
animal
care
attendant
at
the
Lindell
Kelly
animal
shelter.
As
you
all
know,
this
here
is
Captain
America.
He
is
one
of
four
roosters
that
came
to
us,
probably
about
two
weeks
or
so
ago,
as
a
senior
prank.
Yes,
they
all
four
had
capes
on
them
and
were
let
loose
into
the
high
school
and
unfortunately,
now
we
are
stuck
with
them
and
they
have
no
home
yep.
B
It
they're
pretty
young,
still
I'd
say
what
maybe
a
year.
If
that.
A
Get
he
still
got
his
baby
feathers?
Okay,
these
little
guys
kind
of
looks
like
a
Rhode
Island
red,
but
roosters
are
a
great
addition
to
A
Flock
some
people.
B
B
A
B
B
And
with
them
being
young,
it
probably
helps
too.
You
know
inclinating.
B
A
So
chickens
live
like
10
years,
just
an
FYI.
B
B
A
A
Remember
the
pets
that
we
have
here
today
may
not
be
the
same
when
you
come
in,
so
always
check
