From YouTube: A CityScene TV Feature on Camarillo's Water Conservation FAQs!

Description

Camarillo provides potable water service to a population of approximately 45,000 residents through 14,000 connections serving residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, public facility and parks customers. Currently, about 60% of our water supply comes from the State Water Project through Calleguas Municipal Water District, one of your member agencies.

The City water system serves roughly two-thirds of City residents, while the other residents are served by other water districts including Camrosa, Pleasant Valley Mutual, California American, and Crestview Water Districts.

In the continued drought conditions that we are all faced with, Camarillo supports Metropolitan’s efforts to adopt an Emergency Water Conservation Program in alignment with the Governor’s Executive Order N-7-22 calling for increased water conservation and significant reduction in use of State Water Project supplies.
Water conservation has been a priority for years and is swiftly becoming a more urgent environmental issue.

As the State exits its driest months of the year in recorded history, water agencies have implemented expanded conservation efforts to alleviate current drought conditions in California.
