B
Please
vow
for
prayer
Heavenly
Father.
Tonight
we
pause
for
a
moment
during
this
meeting
to
acknowledge
your
presence
with
us.
We
ask
Divine
guidance
and
all
we
do
for
the
constituents
of
Canton
Georgia.
There
are
times
when
issues
seem
to
overwhelm
us
with
messages
from
many
sides.
Only
you
know
the
future.
We
rely
on
your
wisdom,
give
us
insight
for
sharing
best
outcomes.
This
we
pray
in
your
name,
amen,
amen,.

A
A
D
The
mayor
members
of
council
good
to
see
you
again
as
stated
this
slated
for
Action
tonight,
I've
received
some
correspondence
for
Mr
Huff,
the
applicant's
attorney
subsequent
to
the
public
hearing
meeting
and
I
believe
I
forwarded
that
to
you
where
he
addressed
some
of
the
questions
that
have
been
raised
by
members
of
council
and
concerned.
Neighbors
I
received
a
request
for
referral
of
this
application
last
week,
which
I
also
forwarded
to
you.
Mr
Parks
have
stated
that
would
like
for
the
this.
D
E
A
And
also
I
think
in
the
staff
report.
There
were
conditions
for
consideration,
but
that
would
be
discussed
I
guess
if
we
did
decide
to
defer
and
discuss
at
that
time.
Yes,
based
on
the
new
densities
and
things
that
would
be
discussed
on.
E
A
Okay,
welcome
up
for
Council
any
discussion,
consideration.
A
We
have
I
think
then
four
approved
of
the
motion,
and
one
opposed
is
that
correct
motion
carries.
A
So
I
think,
since
that
annexation
is
denied,
there's
no
need
to
vote
on
the
other
two
items:
correct.
That's
correct,
okay,.
A
G
G
We
haven't
faced
this
very
much
since
I've
been
here
so
I
did
want
to
make
you
aware
of
that,
because
normally
it's
a
small
business,
not
an
apartment
complex.
So
that's
a
that
is
an
issue
that
I
wanted
to
bring
to
your
attention.
I
also
wanted
to
note
that
our
February
operations
report
is
up
on
the
website.
You
should
have
a
copy
with
you,
encourage
our
residents.
G
Take
a
look
at
that
and
some
of
the
things
we
have
going
on
at
the
city,
I
did
also
provide
to
you
a
memo,
overviewing
discussion
items
from
the
retreat
and
action
items
I'll
be
posting
that
on
on
my
page
of
the
website
as
well.
G
But
ultimately
what
I
have
done
is
I've
taken
all
of
the
discussions
that
we
had
at
The,
Retreat
and
I've
itemized,
those
out
in
specific
tasks
and
Associated
staff
and
and
timelines
where
we
have
timelines
available
where
those
items
may
come
back
to
you,
there's
a
section
with
several
items
on
housing,
zoning,
Water,
waste,
water,
transportation,
Parks
and
Recreation,
as
well
as
economic
development,
cultural
activities
and
others
I'm
not
going
to
go
through
all
of
those.
But
if
you
have
any
particular
questions,
I'd
be
happy
to
answer
those.
G
Lastly,
I
want
to
mention
well
next
to
last,
I
want
to
mention
that
we
have
our
team
member
of
the
month
here
with
us.
This
month,
Mr
Russell
Russell
Martin
with
it
was
nominated
by
his
peers,
as
our
team
member
of
the
month
and
Russell's
not
been
with
us
very
long
right
at
one
year
and
as
we
have
been
working
over
the
last
year
or
two
put
forward
new
equipment
in
our
Police
Department
Vehicles
as
it
relates
to
e-citations,
and
things
like
that.
G
Russell's
got
to
know
a
lot
of
people
and
and
he's
just
been
very
helpful
to
us
here
at
the
city.
So
it
was
great
to
be
able
to
recognize
him
as
our
team
member
of
the
February
and
he
handles
our
Council
meetings,
the
first
meeting
of
the
month.
So
while
he
was
here,
I
thought
I'd
pull
him
out
of
the
closet
back
there
and
recognize
him.
And
let
you
get
to
congratulate
him
as
well
on
that
honor.
G
I
do
have
one
matter
that
has
come
up
this
week
that
I
want
to
make
you
aware
of.
Today.
Our
utility
operation
staff
was
made
aware
of
a
sewer
issue
in
the
area,
okay
to
get
one
across
street,
that's
near
Longview
and
Marietta
Road
upon
investigation
by
our
utility
staff
and
co-compliance
team.
A
meeting
was
called
on
Tuesday
afternoon
to
discuss
their
illicit
discharge
material
into
our
sewer
system.
We
notified
epd
of
a
sewer,
backup
and
relayed
that
the
infiltration
was
from
a
business
within
our
industrial
pre-treatment.
F
Mr
Peppers
regarding
Canterbury
Ridge,
House
delinquent,
are
they
in
the
in
the
payments,
the
tax
payments?
Three.
G
Years,
oh,
oh
on
their
occupational
occupations,
it's
not
property
tax
payments,
but
occupational
three
years
and
and
I
will
say
that
they
did
Issue
a
check.
I
believe
it
was
in
December
when
we
notify
them
that
they
were
in
arrears
and
they're
checked
was
insufficient
and
they
have
not
cleared
the
balance.
Since
so
that's
why
we
would
take
this
action.
F
Okay,
so
if
you
don't
mind,
if
you
were
walking
me
through
the
process,
then
what
happens
now
you
know
three
years
and
insufficient
funds.
What's
the
next
step,
so.
G
A
Thank
you
is
that
apartment
complex,
the
only
business
that
company
has
in
the
city
or
they
have
others
they.
G
There
is
a
question
sometimes
as
to
whether
a
business
is
operating
in
the
city
or
not
so,
for
instance,
if
I'm
a
landlord
and
I
own
a
a
rental
home
I,
don't
pay
a
business
license
fee
to
the
city,
because
I'm
conducting
business
on
a
particular
property
in
the
in
the
example
of
an
apartment,
complex,
so
they're
collecting,
rent
they're,
providing
maintenance,
there
may
be
a
staff,
and
what
have
you
related
to
that
particular
development?
So
they
are
operating
a
business
at
that
location.
A
I
also
want
to
thank
our
council
members
and
staff
members
for
spinning
their
weekend
this
past
weekend,
a
way
away
from
their
family
and
friends
at
our
retreat
in
Athens
is
a
very
productive,
Retreat,
great
conversations,
great
action
items
as
you
can
see
by
Mr
Peppers
linting
memo
I
got
tired
reading
it
again
and
tired
and
excited
I'm,
not
sure
which
one
I
was
more,
but
at
the
end
of
it,
but
really
look
forward
to
sharing
all
of
our
progress
and
discussions
with
with
our
citizens
as
we
move
forward
into
receiving
additional
public
input
into
our
roadmap
2.0
initiatives
on
all
the
exciting
projects
we
have
coming
coming
in
the
in
the
months
ahead
of
this
year
and
again,
thanks
to
everyone
and
thanks
to
Mr
Peppers
Mr
Ingram,
but
everyone
who
made
The
Retreat,
efficient
and
successful
so
appreciate
your
time
and
efforts
in
keeping
us
moving
forward.
A
So,
just
one
last
item
I
wanted
to
share
a
thank
you
note
I
received
from
Miss
Shirley
Paul,
it's
a
dear
mayor,
Grant
in
Canton
City,
Council
Members.
Thank
you
all
for
so
much
for
your
Proclamation.
You
presented
at
my
retirement
party.
It
was
honored.
I
was
honored
and
humbled
by
your
Proclamation
I.
Tell
everyone
God
and
Bernice
Cagle
Place
me
at
the
Cherokee
County
Farm
Bureau
30
years
ago,
because
of
this
part
of
my
life.
I
have
made
so
many
friends
all
the
things
we
did
promote.
A
Agriculture
was
a
team
effort,
I
preach
I'll,
appreciate
all
you
have
done
to
make
Canton
a
wonderful
place
to
live.
I
appreciate
all
of
you
for
the
volunteer
time
you
give
sincerely
Shirley
Paul,
so
I
want
to
share
that
with
everyone.
So
we
certainly
appreciate
Miss
Paul
in
her
30
years
of
service
to
to
the
community.
A
She's
did
a
great
job
and
she'll
be
missing
that
capacity,
but
we
we
know
where
to
find
when
we
want
to
say
hello
to
her
so
and
with
that
that
is
all
I
have
and
so
I
think
this
is.
This
has
even
be
so
a
waterman
meeting.
So
a
little
entertain
a
motion
to
adjourn
motion.
