From YouTube: CQC Young Champions - What skills may you gain?

Description

This video was created by our current #YoungChampions who would like to work with more people aged 13-25.

We're passionate about hearing from people about their experiences of care, and this includes children and young people as well.

We've teamed up with Participation People to create the CQC Young Champions programme, which will be open to 13-25 year old young people in England.

The programme will help young people develop their skills in communication, confidence and listening, whilst giving them an outlet to share their experiences of and aspirations for health and social care services.

What skills have you gained so far as a CQC young champion since participating in? So you can see the shift in my interpersonal and relationship building skills I'm grateful to be in this group as we encourage each other, and it seems that everyone bounces off with each other as well, and we are accepting, which is like the main thing. Isn't it um for me? I would love to see everyone like evolve as we get to know each other more another thing it has developed.

My confidence advocating for something I feel strongly about, which is the Healthcare, System and I think we can all agree that it isn't up to par in recent years, and you know what they say: health is wealth, I feel a sense of justice and that are making a difference through this, which is the main thing in terms of advocating.

It has been out of more comfort zone to voice my concerns, as I tend to be a non-confrontational person. I find that he's tapping into that energy for me and I can see myself growing.
