A
Good
evening,
everyone
and
welcome
to
a
special
council
meeting
Wednesday
June
24th
2020
roll
call.
All
councilors
are
present
except
for
Nicole
Cody
and
she
is
excused
invocation
and
inspirational
thought.
I
forgot
the
prayer
I
apologize,
well
praise
God
for
everything,
he's
done
for
our
lives
and
for
our
families
and
ask
them
to
continually
guide
us
amen
and
I.
Do
not
take
that
lightly
item
number
three
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
Would
you
please
stand.
A

And
by
state
statute,
it
has
to
come
to
the
council
for
you
to
countersign,
but
there's
no
real
options
of
not
countersuit
and
everything
to
the
state
statute
and
are
you
the
warrant
itself
does
not
specifically
state
the
amount
of
the
school
district
budget.
The
reason
for
that
is
simply
that
the
state
statute
specifies
the
language
that
they
have
to
have
in
the
warrant,
but
I
can
tell
you.

The
meeting
last
night
superintendent
Doug
provided
presentation
to
outlining
the
savings
that
they've
seen
from
the
closing
of
the
different
schools,
the
explanations
provided
last
night.
Basically,
it
was
that
they
saw
savings
in
previous
years
when
they
closed
the
schools,
yeah
and,
as
they've
made
adjustments
to
the
administration's
they've
eliminated
the
next
Roasters
in
principal
position,
the
teaching
position
they
have
seen
some
savings.
You
know
the
utility
costs
from
closing
the
schools.

Any
other
comments
from
the
council
last
year:
I
went
to
the
budget
process
public
hearing,
and
the
explanation
from
the
superintendent
was
is
that
the
timeline
for
having
the
new
school
completed
was
a
year
off
due
to
some
delays.
I
suppose
it
had
something
to
do
with
line
stall
and
that
they
had
to
run
the
schools
a
little
bit
longer
before
they
could
shut
him
down,
and
that's
why
we
had
I'm
going
back
a
year.
A
A
Okay,
now
that
the
new
school
is
built
and
they
are
shutting
down
all
these
other
schools
that
that
one
hundred
and
eighty
thousand
dollars
would
somehow
dissipate
and
for
some
reason
it
didn't
stage
right
there
same
hundred
and
eighty
thousand
dollars
and
I
find
it
disappointing
that
I
knew
when
we
were
going
to
the
poll
I
knew
when
we
were
going
to
vote
on
the
school
we
weren't
going
to
get
any
money
back.
You
very
rarely
get
money
back
from
government.
A
Maintenance
must
have
been
a
little
wasn't
that
strong.
You
can
extend
the
life
of
the
buses
now,
if
you
weren't
running
them,
they
have
another
three
or
four
or
six
months
of
life
to
them.
The
schedules
of
all
the
equipment
and
I
just
find
it
just
disappointing
and
but
more
disappointing
is
that
something
comes
to
us
and
we
have
to
rubber-stamp
it
and
I
always
ask,
then
why
bring
it
to
us?
It's
on
anything
you
amass
to
vote
on
my
opinion
on,
say,
an
award
and
when
I
give
my
opinion.
A
A
It
has
to
do
with
the
mindset
of
how
you
problem-solve
and
that's
why
I
think
I'm
struggling
to
find
people
that,
in
the
business
community,
men
and
women
that
want
to
run
for
caribou
City
Council-
and
this
is
a
typical
example-
we're
gonna
rubber
stamp
something
so
I'm
disappointed
in
it.
But
that's
the
way
it
is
I
was
very
opposed
to
forming
the
RSU
matter.
Of
fact,
I
was
the
only
one
to
vote
against
it,
because
somehow
it
I
knew
it
was
going
to
number
one.
A
A
We
weren't
going
to
work
at
this
as
a
community
together,
and
it
was
just
and
we
were
above
all,
we
were
following
the
state
rules.
There's
nothing
here.
I'll
bet
you.
If
I
had
to
look
at
that
budget,
how
about
you
90%
of
it,
is
state
mandated
and
the
actual
part
of
that
budget
that
we
as
citizens
and
as
a
school
board.
A
What
you're
not
gonna,
buy
fuel
for
the
building,
our
things
that
you
have
to
buy,
you're,
not
gonna,
pay
your
electric
bill,
so
much
of
its
being
mandated
and
here's
an
example
rubber,
stamping
something,
but
it
is
what
it
is.
We
work
with
the
cards,
we're
play
that
we're
dealt
with
us
and
we
try
to
do
the
best.
We
can
any
other
comments
or
questions
hearing.
None.
All
those
in
favor
of
the
motion
raise
your
hand.
A
F

A
Seven
individual
people,
all
with
our
own
different
fonts
I,
didn't
want
to
vote
for
it
either.
But
I
look
at
the
calories.
It
was
going
to
burn
if
I
didn't
and
it's
not
worth
it
at
this
stage,
but
we
work
at
it
the
best
weekend,
any
other
comments
or
questions
before
I
call
for
an
adjournment
hearing.
None.
The
chair
will
entertain
a
motion
to
adjourn.
