From YouTube: 2017 10 11 Cedar City Council Action Meeting
Description
Weekly scheduled public City Council meetings for Cedar City, UT
A
Heavenly
Father,
as
we
gathered
today
for
the
work
before
us,
we
come
seeking
your
guidance
and
your
wisdom.
We're
truly
thankful
for
all
your
blessings.
The
beauty
of
this
fall
season,
our
fields
and
forests.
A
loaf
of
family
and
friends
all
revealed
the
work
of
your
hands
on
the
love
with
which
you
embrace
each
of
us
and
you've
blessed
us
with
gifted
leaders
as
well.
A
Leaders
chosen
by
you
to
serve
working
together
to
promote
a
brighter
future
for
all
of
us
guide
their
minds
and
hearts
this
day
as
they
work
for
the
good
of
our
community,
bless
their
plans
and
deliberations,
bring
success
to
their
work,
reward
them
for
the
good
that
they
do.
Their
efforts
today
are
like
careful
steps
that
they
make
along
the
way,
giving
your
grace
an
opportunity
to
enter
and
do
the
rest
and
Lord
teaching
each
of
us
to
be
generous
in
our
outlook.
A
Courageous
in
the
face
of
all
difficulty
lies
in
our
decisions
for
the
benefit
at
all.
As
we
plant,
the
seeds,
which
will
one
day
grow,
help
us
also
to
water,
the
seeds
already
there
for
the
future
that
they
promised
laying
proper
foundations
for
generations
to
come.
We
ask
this
in
the
name
of
your
son,
Jesus
Christ,.
B
B
C
I
would
propose
that
number
seven
on
the
action
agenda
that
we
table
that
for
some
further
discussion,
we're
wondering
about
the
possibility
where
we
know
that
we
have
a
lot
of
water
costs
coming
up
in
the
not-too-distant
future,
that
if
we
possibly
could
do
that
kind
of
on
an
ala,
carte
type
thing
where
would
keep
the
discount
on
the
impact
fees
other
than
the
water
would
go
back
to
our
normal
impact
fees.
But
we
thought
maybe
we
should
know
some
numbers
as
far
as
how
that
would
have
affected
individual
by
building
permit
and
whatnot.

B
C
Wanted
to
publicly
thank
Tom
for
helping
me
put
Wells
Fargo
did
a
project
up
on
South
Main
yesterday
and
Tom
and
Danny
Halderman
come
with
their
tractors
and
backhoes
and
really
helped
make
the
project
work.
He
arranged.
Rocky
ridge
gave
us
a
dumpster
to
put
it
all
in,
and
so,
if
you
drive
out
there
by
Sportsman's
Warehouse
you'll
see
we
cleaned
the
sidewalk
up
there,
you
can
now
walk
down
the
sidewalk
and
Scott
came
and
joined
us
and
Ryan
Murphy
come
and
joined
us
so
and
I
forget
your
friend's
name.
That
was
there
with
you.
C
B
Alright,
are
there
any
other,
just
a
general
one?
Next
Tuesday
starting
at
5:30,
is
the
debate
with
the
the
Leavitt
centers
putting
on
the
City
Council
candidates.
Then
the
mayoral
candidates
will
be
right
after
them,
and
Wednesday
is
the
town
hall
that
the
police,
department
and
Sheriff's
Office
are
draining
together
in
that
will
be
over
at
the
Heritage
Center.
D
E
G
Evening,
council
staff
Jeremy
about
darts
and
representing
the
EAC
tonight,
the
employee,
Advisory
Committee.
We
get
a
lot
of
good
nominations
from
the
fire
department
ever
it's
their
turn
to
nominate
for
an
employee
of
the
month.
Mr.
John
Savage,
if
you
can
come
up
here,
John
was
nominated
by
Mike
shirts
and
it's
pretty
obvious
why
we
chose
John
for
this
month.
So
John
is
an
outstanding
employee
in
a
number
of
different
areas.
G
In
addition
to
being
a
great
firefighter
an
apparatus
driver
operator,
John
was
also
an
ASE
certified
master
mechanic
and
also
works
for
Bradshaw
Chevy
part-time
because
of
John's
expertise
in
all
things.
Automotive
and
his
relationship
with
Bradshaw
Chevy
he's
been
able
to
save
the
city
significant
amounts
of
money
over
his
career.
The
recent
example
of
John's
willingness
to
go
the
extra
mile
and
take
care
of
anything
the
fire
department
asks.
B
D
Brain
Dangerfield,
director
of
Leisure
Services,
just
Dallas
Daly,
wanted
me
to
announce
that
hockey,
registration
for
youth
and
adult
is
is
up
and
running,
and
also
our
special
night
down
in
Las
Vegas.
Last
night
they
had
the
Vegas
golden
night
said
their
home
opener
at
the
T
Bommel
Arena
they're
three.
Now,
yes,
they
are.
D
It
was
in
1993.
The
owner
of
a
professional
baseball
team
came
and
asked
me
to
be
the
communications
director
for
a
hockey
team
and
rationally
hockey.
League
team
in
Las.
Vegas
I
was
very
gratifying
to
see
an
NHL
team
debut
in
Vegas,
but
they
are
going
to
allow
five
of
our
Cedar
City
youth
go
down
for
the
national
anthem
and
be
on
the
ice
on
October
27th
and
we
have
about
15
tickets
left.
D
D
Yeah
Steely
Rekha
management
is,
you
know,
weird
the
lease
agreement
with
them
to
run
the
rink
and
they're
doing
a
great
job.
Getting
youth
hockey
and
the
Vegas
Golden
Knights
or
engaged
with
us
and
they're
very
excited
that
Southern
Utah's
interested
in
their
games,
and
that's
why
they're
letting
us
come
down
on
the
on
that
Friday,
so
it'll
be
fun.
B
E
E
Now
I've
said
that
if
that
doesn't
hit
you
in
the
head,
then
you're
not
listening
and
I
would
suggest
you
bring
that
up
again
and
maybe
get
the
heck
out
of
there.
I,
don't
think
just
because
that's
like
sticking
with
Planned
Parenthood
or
some
of
these
other
units
that
we
have
that
get
government
money
and
it
seems
like
it's
a
natural
thing
just
to
give
your
money
away.
Remember.
Taxes
are
money
that
you're
stealing
from
people,
that's
putting
it
a
little
bit
hard
but
taxes.
E
We
in
this
country
are
paying
more
in
taxes
by
a
city,
county,
state,
federal
and
whatever
other
entities
and
King
George
ever
levied
on
the
people
of
this
country
when
they
revolted
we're
paying
more
than
any
king
or
any
royalty
ever
charged
his
people.
So
now
that,
having
said
that,
the
next
item
is
really
going
to
hit
home.
E
She
experienced
first
of
all,
why
are
I
realize
we
got
a
rape
attack
and
you
heard
me
right
the
way
I
said
it
that
they
get
their
fingers
in
a
great
great
deal
of
that
money
and
I'm
afraid
if
Scott
ever
gets
elected
and
I
think
there's
a
very,
very
good
chance.
That
he's
going
to
be
a
see
here.
He's.
B
E
Still
a
friend,
but
you
may
think,
I'm
an
enemy
I
do
not
think
that
the
Shakespearean
festival
after
fifty
years
should
be
extorting,
demanding
or
whatever
other
terms
you
want
to
put
on
it
all
the
money
this
city
has
given
out
millions
literally
to
the
Shakespearean
festival.
I
realize
a
lot
of
it
comes
to
the
rape
tax,
but
that's
still
money
you're
taking
out
of
people's
pockets.
E
There
probably
would
be
better
things
to
use
it
for
it
if,
by
the
what
rules,
regulations
or
whatever
were
set
down
when
we
voted
on
that
thing
twice
that
so
much
had
to
go
here
and
there,
if
you
people
are
able
to.
You,
ought
to
look
at
that
and
put
some
of
it
back
into
the
community
where
it
needs
to
be.
We've
got
parks
that
need
some
fixing
up.
The
Heritage
Park
has
some
problems
up
there.
E
E
He
is
one
of
the
finest
teachers
I
ever
had,
and
a
good
friend
of
my
parents
and
of
me
until
I
probably
opened
my
mouth
here,
but
you
need
to
take
a
second
look
at
that.
There
are
other
things
that
money
could
probably
go
to
better
if
they
can't
survive
after
50
years.
Look
at
Sears,
you
didn't
offer
them
any
money
staples.
You
didn't
offer
any
money
and
there's
probably
some
other
companies
that
bailed
out
of
this
place
because
they
either
couldn't
make
it
or
whatever,
but
I
realize
that's
a
different
ballpark.
E
Nobody
ran
from
here
behind
from
your
seats
up
there.
Hey.
If
you
stay
here,
we'll
offer
you
this
or
that
or
anything
else,
I
realize
Shakespearean
festival
brings
people
in
here
and
I
always
hear
a
fantastic
amount
of
money
that
they
generate.
I
think
Walmart
generated
an
awful
lot.
While
they
were
here,
Staples
generated
a
lot
so
I
don't
think
the
cow.
E
The
horse
is
any
different
horse
that
we're
riding,
but
I
would
suggest
you
people
look
at
where
we're
spending
our
money
and
for
heaven's
sakes
and
closing
don't
follow
those
idiots
that
we
got
in
the
school
board.
I
was
to
that
meeting
and
just
because
the
rule
says
you
conject
your
crank
more
money
out
of
people's
pockets
for
health
sakes.
Don't
do
it.
E
People
are
still
struggling
here,
whether
you
believe
it
or
not,
in
spite
of
what
all
the
propaganda,
how
well
we're
doing.
I
just
had
a
son
that
lost
a
very,
very,
very
good
salary,
not
here,
but
in
one
of
our
other
states
because
of
some
downturns
and
it
ain't
all
that
good.
You
may
think
you're
you're
blessed
by
sitting
here.
E
Behind
that
thing
you
get
a
get
a
check
every
month
or
quarter
or
whatever
they
pay
you
and
we
voted
you
in
and
I
recognize
that,
and
you
can
darn
well
pretty
much
do
what
you
want
after
you
get
there,
but
I'm
saying
use
a
little
common
sense.
Get
rid
of
this
money
that
we're
sending
up
and
worth
for
something
that
we're
not
doing
or
using
or
utilizing
put
him
to
work.
E
