G
So
as
we
do
each
year,
we're
going
to
do
a
brief
overview
of
our
federal
programs.
Grants
for
the
2023-24
school
year
included
in
this
year's
Grant
presentation
is
the
ask
for
approval
of
Willowdale
Elementary
School's
TSI
plan
and
we'll
review
again
what
that
is,
as
we
get
into
the
presentation
I'm
going
to
jump
right
to
the
overview
of
federal
programs
as
we've
shared
in
the
past
divisional
Federal
programs
with
pde
administers
millions
of
dollars
in
Grants
to
schools
all
across
the
Commonwealth.
G
Every
year
we
receive
a
formula
grant
known
as
the
Consolidated
application,
which
is
one
of
the
federal
programs
grants
under
that
there
are
four
parts
to
the
Consolidated
app.
There
is
Title
One
Part
a
title,
two
part
a
title
three
and
title
four.
Each
of
these
grants
come
with
specific
guidelines
on
how
we
can
spend
the
money.
What
we
have
done
in
the
past.
Well
title
one
is
really
about
reading
and
math
Improvement
in
the
district
Title
II
falls
under
sort
of
two
categories.
It
could
be
training
recruiting
or
class
size
reduction.
G
Title
three
is
focused
on
English
language
development,
students
in
the
English
language
development
program.
Title
four
is
academic
enrichment.
It's
a
little
bit
of
a
more
inclusive
grants
and
newer
grants
only
about
maybe
six
or
seven
years
old,
maybe
eight
years
old,
compared
to
the
others,
which
have
been
around
much
longer
as
we've
shared
in
the
past.
What
we've
decided
to
do
here
in
Centennial
is
because
of
the
need
our
unique
needs
here
around.
G
Well,
we
have
the
reading
math
needs,
of
which
we've
been
working,
on
which
we've
shared
with
you
every
year,
as
well
as
our
larger,
large
and
growing
ELD
population.
We
transfer
all
of
title
IV
and
all
of
title
II
into
one
and
three
that
way
the
neediest
students
around
reading
and
math,
as
well
as
our
ELD
students,
get
the
most
additional
support
needed
to
help
move
forward.
G
So
there
are
a
couple
other
stipulations
on
how
we
use
it.
So,
obviously,
a
lot
of
the
supports
that
we
put
in
place
are
put
towards
reading
math
achievement
growth.
There
is
a
parent
family
engagement
set
aside.
Each
building
gets
a
little
bit
of
money
to
each
of
the
three
buildings:
the
three
Title
One
buildings,
which
are
Willowdale
McDonald
and
Law
College.
Each
get
a
little
bit
of
money
to
run
parent
family
engagement
events,
our
first
parent
family
engagement
event
at
McDonald,
is
tomorrow
night
called
the
Bulldog
bash
I.
Think.
G
As
of
the
end
of
last
week,
we
had
over
450
families
registered,
which
is
really
great
to
see,
there's
going
to
be
all
different
events,
games,
Title,
One
information,
information
on
translation
services,
information
on
technology
as
well
as
curriculum.
We
have
a
homeless
set
aside
that
we
work
with
our
social
worker
on
to
use
that
money
to
help
out
our
homeless
population.
We
do
by
law,
have
to
give
some
money
to
our
non-public
schools
for
students
that
attend
those
non-public
schools.
G
So
if
we
have
a
student
at
any
one
of
our
Title
One
schools
that
doesn't
come
here
but
goes
to
a
Nativity
of
Our
Lord,
let's
say
we
there's
a
per-pupil
allocation
that
we
would
give
to
that
school
to
help
better
that
student
and
who's
under
some
kind
of
academic
need.
We
contract
with
the
Bucks
IU
to
help
handle
those
Services
we've
been
doing
that
for
years,
and
the
schools
are
happy.
We're
happy.
It's
a
really
nice
partnership.
G
Most
all
of
our
money
goes
to
for
title.
One
goes
to
Staffing:
we
we
cover
a
number
of
instructional
assistants
to
help
with
reading
we
pay
for
parts
of
our
instructional.
Coaches
bless
you
for
literacy
of
mathematics
as
well
as
a
number
of
reading
and
math
specialists
in
the
district.
We
have
a
bunch
more
information
on
our
website
that
is
linked
there
at
the
bottom,
so
Title
One
requirements
that
we
need
to
share
with
the
board
in
the
community.
G
During
this,
there
are
a
number
of
different
documents
that
our
community,
our
parents,
our
schools,
can
research
on
our
website
and
provide
feedback
on,
and
it's
everything
from
our
building
parent
letter
right
to
nose
which
are
linked
there.
Our
title,
one
parent,
Compact
and
family
engagement
policies,
which
are
also
linked
on
the
slide
deck.
G
All
of
this
is
found
on
our
website
under
teaching
and
learning
and
federal
programs
where
we
welcome
feedback
on
parent,
family
engagement
activities
and
funds
like
how
we're
using
the
best
in
the
buildings
and
then
always,
we
have
to
provide
our
different
engagement
policies
and
right
to
know,
policies
per
the
district.
Each
building
principle
does
share
the
same
information
at
their
back
to
school
nights
at
their
parent
night
at
their
parent
Council
nights.
We
share
this
with
our
parent
advisory
Council,
the
district
level.
G
We
talk
about
this
a
bit
with
our
student
advisory
as
well,
so
there's
definitely
a
lot
of
open
communication
around
what
funds
we
have,
how
we're
using
it.
We
have
the
large
Act
48
District
Tech
48
committee,
that
discusses
use
of
funds,
as
well
as
all
these
different
components
as
well,
but
we
are
required
to
share
it
so
we're
sharing
it.
Everything
can
be
found
on
our
website
the
best
way
to
provide
feedback.
There's
two
contact
the
building
principle
directly.
G
If
parents
sit
down
and
talk,
otherwise,
we
have
a
form
on
the
website
that
a
parent
can
get
on
or
a
Community
member
get
on.
Take
a
look
at
the
documents
linked
there
and
just
fill
out
and
submit
it
and
then
we'll
take
that
information
and
reach
back
out,
if
necessary.
So
that's
how
we've
created
a
couple:
different
opportunities
for
feedback
and
engagement
on
some
of
the
different
Title
One
requirements.
The
title
one
forms
so
a
lot
of
college,
as
I
mentioned,
is
one
of
our
Title
One
schools.
G
There
are
major
areas
of
focus
where
achievement
increasing
achievement
in
math
and
Ela,
and
continuing
growth
and
math
in
the
LA
they've
done
a
nice
job
over
the
years
as
you've
seen
in
our
other
data
presentations
getting
caught
up
now
that
we're
aligned
to
the
current
standards
and
we
have
some
different
systems,
including
the
schedule
in
place
that
we're
starting
to
see
a
lot
of
growth
in
those
areas.
G
Mcdonald
is
our
second
school-wide
Title
One
School
their
areas.
They're
focusing
on
this
year
are
achievement
and
growth
in
math
and
Ela,
and
then
increasing
student
proficiency
and
reading
comprehension
of
informational
text.
G
That
was
the
area
when
their
team
dug
down
specifically
into
the
results
from
the
state
testing
recently
really
identified
as
an
area
for
needs
to
be
doing
a
lot
of
focus
on
informational
text,
along
with
the
other
two
bullets
they're
going
to
be
having
on
the
right
side,
with
the
action
plan,
the
building's
going
to
be
having
the
teachers
receive
the
professional
development
with
our
wisdom,
implementation
in
rollout
this
year
doing
a
lot
again
around
the
mtss
model.
G
Now
that
we
have
a
win
time
in
place
really
working
with
data
informed
instruction
using
our
PD
days,
as
well
as
the
professional
go
times
which
are
other
professional
development
days
throughout
the
year
and
then
focusing
on
our
coaches
and
the
peer
coaching
model
to
help
work
along
with
the
mtss
meetings
across
grade
levels
and
then
Willowdale
again
is
a
little
different.
It's
a
TSI
school!
If
you
remember,
we've
had
buildings
in
the
past,
get
on
TSI
for
a
year
and
then
move
out
of
TSI.
G
As
you
know,
from
the
spring,
the
high
school
is
going
into
another
year,
their
atsi
Improvement.
So
we
do
still
have
some
schools
that
are
looking
to
work
on
some
some
areas,
so
Willowdale
is
on
TSI
school-wide
plan
Improvement
their
major
Focus
areas
to
look
at
our
achievement
and
growth
for
Math
and
Ela.
The
TSI
designation
that
we're
focusing
on
for
that
designation
are
economically
disadvantaged
students
that
also
fall
under
the
area
of
English
language
Proficiency.
G
There
are
mtss
meetings
and
our
and
now
that
we
have
win
time-
and
we
have
a
structured
time
to
do
interventions
we're
going
to
be
following
those
students
closely
in
order
to
help
them
move
to
the
level
that
they
need
to
move
in
order
to
get
us
off
of
the
TSI
designation
is
an
annual
designation,
so
we're
pretty
confident
with
the
systems
and
structures
in
place
that
we'll
be
able
to
move
that
group
of
students
throughout
the
year.
G
The
other,
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
most
of
our
money
gets
moved
into
title
one
for
reading
and
math
Improvement.
We
also
have
to
move
a
lot
of
our
money
into
title
three,
which
is
focused
on
English
language
development
and
we're
really
trying
to
focus
on
parent
family
engagement,
growth
and
achievement.
Math
and
Ela
again,
you're,
seeing
very
consistent
patterns
of
us
being
targeted,
focused
and
deliberate
in
how
we
are
programming
and
why
a
lot
of
our
students
in
here
fall
under
the
economic,
disadvantaged,
multi-language,
Learners,
English,
Learners
and
Hispanic
students.
G
So
that's
sort
of
our
focus
group
for
this,
for
this
particular
Grant
and
how
again
people
in
professional
development
in
this
case,
so
we
pay
for
some
power
Educators.
We
pay
for
our
community
liaison
Specialists
throughout
title
3
funds
and
again
we're
seeing
really
good
growth
and
really
good
gains
in
that
area
and
helping
the
funding
area
that,
as
you
all,
are
aware
of,
has
grown
enormously
over
the
past
two
years.
Foreign.
C
F
Excuse
me
with
two
items
on
the
agenda
today
that
expand
our
high
school
students
opportunity
to
acquire
higher
education
credit
while
attending
William,
Tena
High
School.
Those
options
come
through
Montgomery
County,
Community
College,
as
well
as
Penn
State
University,
and
a
reminder
that
last
year's
CSD
signed
agreements
with
Bucks
County,
Community
College,
as
well
as
three
Commonwealth
University
schools,
so
more
expanded
options
for
our
students,
who
are
so
inclined
next
up,
we'd
like
to
recognize
Mr
Kevin
burns,
the
new
Safety
and
Security
Supervisor
Mr
Burns.
F
If
you
could
stand
Kevin,
is
a
William
Tennant
high
school
graduate.
He
has
served
in
a
very
similar
capacity
to
this
one
with
the
Neshaminy
School
District
since
the
beginning
of
the
2019-2020
school
year.
Prior
to
that,
he
has
served
in
various
positions
as
a
police
officer
since
1988
as
a
patrol
officer,
a
detective
investigator
in
both
Vice
and
narcotics,
as
well
as
a
sergeant.
He
holds
various
certain
notifications
and
training
from
nazro.
F
He
served
as
a
DARE
officer,
Alice
training,
comprehensive
school
threat,
assessment
guidelines,
training
both
levels,
one
and
two,
and
he
is
a
member
of
the
bciu
reunification
strategy.
Strategic
planning
committee,
Mr
Burns,
will
be
attending
a
meet
and
greet
with
the
board
in
September.
That
will
get
you
a
date
on.
C
H
I
F
Aboard
yes
welcome,
and,
and
next
up
we
have
recognition
of
Miss
Sarah
Calabrese,
our
new
William
Tennant,
High,
School
assistant
principal,
should
be
working
in
the
10th
grade
house
Sarah.
If
you
could
stand,
Sarah
has
over
10
years
experience
as
a
school
assistant
principal
three
at
the
K
to
eight
level.
The
other
seven
at
the
high
school
level
four
years
combined
is
a
professional
development,
specialist
and
observation
coach
and
has
very
relevant
experience,
providing
training
in
several
key
areas.

C
C
C
H
I'm
speaking
in
regards
to
6.3
a
I'm
sure,
you
all
remember
me
from
last
year,
I'm
requesting
that
my
daughter,
Samantha
Bella,
be
granted
an
attendance
exception
to
attend
Davis
Elementary
for
the
2023-2024
school
year
because
of
the
tremendous
hardship
it
puts
on
my
family.
Having
my
children
attend
different
schools
as
McDonald
could
not
provide
the
support.
My
son's
need
so
that,
due
to
their
autism
diagnosis,
the
school
board
has
approved
this
exception
in
previous
years
for
both
kindergarten
and
first
grade
in
the
beginning
of
the
year.
H
My
son
Dylan,
who
will
be
entering
third
grade
at
Davis,
has
been
diagnosed
with
a
rare
genetic
form
of
osteoporosis.
He
has
had
to
miss
many
school
days
due
to
appointments
at
shop
and
I've
had
to
rely
on
the
Davis
Community
to
get
Samantha
to
and
from
school
being
a
single
mom
of
two
disabled
children
is
a
struggle
in
and
of
itself,
let
alone
adding
my
oldest
now
being
diagnosed
with
an
incurable
disease.
All
of
my
children
are
thriving
at
Davis.
H

for
6.3,
D
and
Eve.
That
does
pass,
but
it's
going
to
be
an
eight
one,
all
right.
So
then
we're
going
to
go
back
to
the
ones
that
were
pulled.
Yes,
all
right.
So
6.3
B
considers
the
exception
to
policy
206
assignment
within
District
to
allow
student
11-13
to
attend
Klinger
Middle
School
for
the
2023-2024
school
year.
The
parents
reside
in
the
loud
College
Middle
School
attendance
Zone
can
I
get
a
second
second
all
right.
Can
we
do
a
roll
call
on
this?
One.
E
E
D
B
On
to
6.3
C
considers
the
exception
to
policy
206
assignment
within
District
to
allow
student
3-13
to
attend
Klinger
Middle
School
for
the
2023-2024
school
year.
The
parents
reside
in
the
loud
College
Middle
School
attendance
Zone
can
I
get
a
second
second.
Can
we
do
a
roll
call
for
this?
One
too,
please.
E
E
B
D
E
E
B
All
right
so
we'll
just
do
that
one
first,
be
it
resolve
at
Centennial,
School,
District,
Board
of
school
directors.
7.1
approves
the
organizational
chart
for
the
2023-2024
school
year,
as
per
the
attached.
Can
I
get
a
second
on
that?
Second,
all
in
favor?
Yes,.
E
E
Consideration
of
a
block
someplace
on
the
organization
chart
as
a
director
of
security
is
a
fairly
important
position
that
was
mentioned
many
times
and
certainly
would,
in
my
opinion
rate
with
some
of
these
positions
that
are
listed
on
here,
maybe
not
right,
obviously
not
the
top,
but
somewhere
and
I,
don't
even
know
at
the
moment
who
he
reports
to
so
I.
Think
that
would
be
my
suggestion
that
we
adopt
this
but
to
consider
adding
the
director
of
security
someplace,
since
we
now
hired
him.
Yes,.
C
Matt
I
say
something
to
that:
please,
actually,
the
reason
that
the
organizational
chart
is
blank
for
the
agenda
is
that
it's
been
done.
That
way.
The
reason
behind
that
is
that,
if
someone
born
in
the
organizational
chart
resigns,
they
have
to
bring
the
whole
thing
back.
C
E
F
Madam
chair,
if
I
could
just
clarify
that
that
was
an
error
of
omission.
So
we
we
will
be
adding
a
block
for
that
position.
But
to
your
other
question,
Mr
Martin,
I,
supervised
that
position
so
it'll
be
it'll,
be
a
line
under
under
well.
E
That's
good
to
know
and
I'm
glad
that
it
was
an
oversight
and
not
exclusion
of
that
important
job
so
to
to
make
the
motion
I
would
just
add
if
I
could
a
revision
that
we
adopt
this
with
the
provision
that
a
directive
Security
box
is
to
be
added,
whether
without
a
without
a
name.
If
that's
what
you
want.
E
B
Right,
so
we
have
to
approve
that
his
motion
so
I
second,
his
his
motion
and
then
we're
going
to
vote
on.
So
we're
going
to
be
voting
on
that
motion
that
we're
going
to
be
adding
that
under
Dr
best
correct
all
right,
so
yeah
we're
correct
yeah.
So
he
put
a
motion
it
was
seconded.
So
if
we're
going
to
vote
on,
that
is,
is
that
accurate.
C
B
Right
so
all
in
favor,
any
abstentions.
Any
Nays
okay
motion
passes
all
right
now,
if
I'm
going
to
go
right
through
the
next,
the
rest
of
them
7.2

Okay,.

we

never

No.
Thank
you.
Okay,.
E
You
Ms
Lynch.
There
are
four
items
anybody
want
to
have
a
discussion
about
any
of
the
four.
If
not
we'll,
move
along,
be
resolved.

That's
also
attached.
E
C
C
I
J
Thank
you.
Things
have
been
a
little
slow
over
the
summer.
Of
course,
as
you
mentioned,
the
big
headline
is
still
the
Pasa
psba
School
leadership
conference
in
the
Poconos
at
Kalahari,
October
15th,
through
17th,
and
also
coming
up
for
us
to
consider.
The
Slate
of
psba
candidates
for
2024
leadership
positions
is
now
available.
Voting
will
be
September
11th
through
October
27th.
J
J
Do
have
news
here.
The
big
news
is
that
we
have
welcomed
a
new
executive
director
to
succeed
the
great
and
good
Dr
alcatero.
Her
name
is
Jennifer
Schultz.
She
is
an
entrepreneur
and
significantly
talented
digital
Communications
and
fundraising
expert.
No
doubt
she's
going
to
continue
to
build
on
the
tremendous
experience
or
progress.
Cef
has
made
in
social
media
and
their
digital
Communications.
J
Most
importantly,
Jennifer
is
a
centennial
parent
and
you
may
recognize
her
name
as
current
fundraising,
director
of
the
William
Tennant
football
boosters
she's
wasting
no
time
so
far,
already
organizing
a
back
to
school,
raffle
fundraiser
that
you
can
look
forward
to
supporting
in
September
right.
So
that's
coming
up
and
of
course
you
can
follow
CEF
on
Facebook
or
visit
centennialef.org
for
their
latest
to
register
for
the
latest
defense
and
speaking
about
sense.
J
We
mentioned
this
before
the
summer
break,
but
coming
up,
Friday
October
20th
at
the
future
will
be
cef's
murder,
mystery
dinner,
so
that
promises
to
be
a
really
fun
night
in
support
of
the
best
possible
cause,
which
is
educational
opportunities
and
programs
for
our
students.
So
I
hope
you
get
your
tickets
for
the
murder,
mystery
dinner
and
I'll
see
you
there
well.
I
I
guess
the
biggest
news
is
that
our
state
budget
got
approved.
Thank
God.
It
was.
It
was
really
scary.
For
a
few
weeks
there,
some
of
the
I
know
I
know
the
IU
was
looking
at
looking
to
take
out
a
loan.
They
were
going
to
have
to
take
that
alone.
At
some
point,
if
we
didn't
get
that
budget
approved
and
I
imagine,
we
were
probably
in
the
same
situation
but
happy
to
say
the
budget
was
approved,
and
so
the
disaster
was
averted.
I
don't
have
any
I
think
else.
C
Month:
okay,
thank
you
very
much.
Next
item:
11.6
metal
boxes
to
technology,
executive,
Council
liaison
and
also
the
president
of
Phoenix
County,
IU,
Mr
Garrison,.
D
Thank
you.
First
of
all,
we
had
a
few
resignations
at
mbit.
They
have
all
been
replaced.
The
plumbing
teacher
left
the
public
safety
teacher
left
and
Engineering
teacher
left.
D
We
are
just
in
a
situation
where
we
have
hired
a
new
engineering
teacher,
but
might
have
to
wait
for
this
person
to
be
released
from
the
current
School
District
that
he
is
in
the
other
piece
that
we
have
lost
is
our
business
director
has
resigned
and
moved
on,
so
we
are
looking
for
a
new
business
director
for
mbit,
so
other
than
that
we
are
fully
staffed.
We
also
looking
to
be
more
cooperative
and
work
in
tandem
with
our
for
sending
school
districts
on
the
next
coming
budget.
C
Thank
you
very
much,
a
very
good
report.
Next,
lady
miscommunications,
we
really
haven't
had
any
Communications
from
the
public.
I
should
say
13.1
additional
Community
comments,
I,
don't
see
any
green
cards,
I
see
a
lady
in
the
audience
and
she
doesn't.
