Description
The Central Florida Computer Society's Technical Special Interest Group held its December meeting via Zoom. This is the recording of that meeting. If you watch any of it, please give us a Thumbs-Up so we know you were here.
D
A
B
I've
got
a
direct
overhead,
warm
led
on
the
fan.
I've
got
four
led
bulbs.
A
A
D
A
The
screen
on
the
the
screen
to
my
left,
my
right,
probably
to
your
left,
I'm
not
sure
how
you're
saying
it,
but
anyway,
the
one
that
says:
tech
for
senior,
that's
a
tv
that
other
are
two
monitors
and
it's
right
between
just
above
the
the
middle
of
the
two
monitors.
There's
a
little
round
circle,
yeah.
A
And
I
also
got
a
where
are
they
here?
I
got
one
that
came
with
one.
I
got
two
of
these
things.
It
came
from
came
with
different
pieces
of
equipment
that
I've
gotten
recently
and
it
looks
like
this
and
you
can
see
there's
a
little
clip
on.
I
can
put
it
on
top
and
if
I
turn
it
on
here
I'll
turn
it
pointing
towards
me.
A
Let's
see
I
got
to
get
to
the
button
here.
It's
at
the
top.
D
A
B
A
I
don't
know
where
the
other
one
of
these
are.
It
was
it'll
help
me
remember
where
I
got
these
from.
A
A
A
podcast
from
the
whiz,
the
gizmiz
and
because
he
they
they
were
talking
about
one
of
the
things
that
I
may
talk
about
today,
and
but
right
after
that
they
showed
a
a
light
box
from
five
below
it
was
only
seven
dollars.
I've
got
one
buried
in
my
in
my
shed.
I
can't
find
it
I
can't
get
to
it.
A
I
gotta
dig
it
out.
I
gotta
find
it.
I
kept
finding
it
when
I
was
looking
for
something
else
now
when
I
went
looking
for
it,
I
can't
find
it.
You
know,
that's
always
the
case,
but
they
they
had.
They
had
one
at
at
five
below
that
he
was
showing
how
to
put
it
together
and
everything,
seven
dollars
and
I'd
love
to
have
it.
So
I
went
over
it.
So
five
below
is
right
across
the
street
from
me
and
a
little
strip
center.
A
A
But
they
didn't
have
it
anyway,
a
light
box.
I
don't
know
if
you're
familiar
with
them
or
not
it's
it's,
it's
got
an
led
built
into
it,
led
light
strip
light
and
it's
a
it's.
It
is
a
box
without
the
front
on
it.
You
put
some
kind
of
in
anything.
A
You
want
to
take
a
picture
of
inside
of
it
and
because
of
the
way
the
lighting
is
and
the
white
sides
and
background
there's
those
shadows,
and
so
it's
really
good
for
photography
and
taking
pictures
of
items
and
not
getting
any
shadows
and
other
pieces
of
the
wall
and
your
bathroom
wall
or
your
kitchen
wall
or
whatever.
B
A
A
D
D
A
E
So
in
a
few
minutes,
I'm
just
gonna
mute
myself
to
see
if
my
other
obligation
I'll
be
right
here,
I'll
be
listening.
A
D
C
There
you
go:
okay,
paul
that'll
be
fine.
I
was
looking
something
up,
so
I
muted
myself
for
a
moment
and
I
will
probably
be
right
back,
but
somebody
start
will.
This
is
the
official
start
of
the
central
florida
computer
society,
tech
sig.
No,
no
format
of
the
going
around
the
table
people
take
turns.
So
somebody
have
that.
B
B
So
many
of
you
know
I
got
a
new
smart
tv
over
the
holidays,
actually
we're
black
friday,
big
sony,
75
75-inch,
google
tv
as
much
as
I've
been
trying
to
de-google
myself
so
once
I
got
it
set
up
and
started
using
it.
I
found
that
I
really
enjoyed
using
the
apps
that
came
with
the
smart
tv
over
streaming,
my
roku
to
it,
which
is
what
I
had
planned
on
doing
and
planned
on
using
any
of
the
apps
and
the
more
apps.
I
tried
out
the
better.
B
I
liked
it
because
in
past
years
the
processing
power
of
smart
tvs
hasn't
been
up
to
the
processing
power
of
the
streaming
devices,
and
now
I'm
finding
that
my
throughput
is
much
faster
with
the
with
the
appropriate
android
app
that
google
has
placed
in
their
ecosystem
on
the
tv,
as
well
as
a
whole
group
of
apps
that
are
available
from
the
play
store
specifically
for
google
tvs,
but
along
the
way.
As
we
all
know,
google
gathers
data,
that's
how
they
make
components.
B
So
I
did
a
little
looking
and
here's
an
article.
I
found
from
consumer
reports
on
how
to
turn
off
smart
tv
snooping
features.
B
B
You
know
the
internet
cable
and
they
use
what
they
call
automatic
content,
recognition
or
acr,
and
this
is
how
they
gather
data
on
what
you're
watching
the
channels,
whether
they're
off
the
air
or
whether
they're
actually
streamed
the
tv
is
in
essence
phoning
home.
So
they
go
through
how
to
how
to
disconnect.
D
B
Had
to
say,
yeah
go
ahead,
do
it,
so
they
do
tell
you
that
you
can
turn
off
acr
through
different
settings
and
they
then
come
on.
They
talk
about
amazon,
fire
tvs.
They
talk
about
android,
tvs
that
are
non-google,
as
well
as
the
google
terms
of
service
for
a
google
tv,
and
they
talk
about
then
brands
of
tvs
using
either
android
tv
or
google
tv,
and
you
can
see
all
of
the
different
agreements.
They've
got
for
lg
sets
and.
D
B
Is
a
sony
boku
tvs?
Have
it
too,
interestingly
enough?
Even
so,
even
if
you're
using
the
roku
operating
system,
samsung
tvs
haven't-
and
this
is
what
would
apply
to
my
sony
tv.
So
I
did
find
some
of
the
pages.
I
haven't
actually
gone
through
this
step
by
step,
but
I
found
some
of
the
pages
on
doing
this
and
then
they
go
on
to
vizio
tvs
and
how
the
targeted
ads
work.
B
If
google
wants
to
record
my
viewing
habits,
so
you
know
so
be
it
and
one
of
the
things
that
had
been
criticized
on
this
particular
sony
tv
I
have
is
a
mismatch
between
the
lip
sync
and
the
sound.
You
know
the
sound
and
the
and
the
video
in
streaming
devices
feeding
to
the
tv
and
then
listening
to
the
audio
from
the
streaming
devices,
and
I
did
find
I've
never
had
to
do
it
before.
B
B
And
it's
in
10
millisecond
steps
and
you
just
keep
delaying
it
while
you
watch
the
picture
until
it
comes
into
sync,
and
we
did
that
a
couple
of
times
before
I
switched
over
to
the
google
apps,
but
the
problem
is
every
channel
on
the
roku
is
slightly
different
in
the
in
how
the
audio
was
presented
to
your
home,
theater
amp.
B
So
I
found
that
you
know
if
I
was
watching
netflix
and
I
got
it
in
sync
and
then
I
went
to
amazon.
Prime
video.
I'd
have
to
go
through
that
syncing
process
again
and
so
on.
So
by
using
the
google
app
and
just
streaming
the
sound
from
the
tv
down
to
the
home
theater
amplifier
through
a
two-way
hdmi
cable,
it's
called
audio
return.
B
A
I
did
have
a
problem
with
youtube
tv
with
it
say
being
out
of
sync
and
I
couldn't
adjust
it.
I
couldn't
do
anything
with
it.
It
worked
fine
on
other
services,
but
somehow
it's
been
fixed.
A
We
haven't
had
that
problem,
so
they
did
something
to
some
in
some
kind
of
an
update
to
fix
it.
A
B
B
A
I've
been
playing
with
2b
tubi,
it's
a
free
service
and
they've
got
a
lot
of
old
tv
programs.
I've
been
watching
columbo,
rockford
hunter
and
a
lot
of
those
old
detective
stories
that
I
really
liked
to
watch,
and
I
got
so
I
I'm
watching
the
mickey
splaine,
which
is,
I
can't
ever
think
of
his
name
now,
the
guy
stars
in
those,
but
I
I
love
them
too,
so
I've
been
watching
them
on
2b
and
some
of
them
are
also
on
the.
A
I
think
it's
pr
on
prime
tv,
I'm
getting
some
of
them.
So
I
like
some
of
those
old
detective
stories,
they're
they're,
not
so
gory
and
out
of
it
as
some
of
the
movies.
B
About
three
or
four
years
ago,
I
started
watching
a
reality.
Series
on
history,
channel
called
the
curse
of
oak
island,
oh
yeah,
and-
and
it's
it's
this-
this
group
of
entrepreneurs
that
are
excavating
an
island
off
the
coast
of
nova
scotia,
and
it's
it's
really
well
done,
because
it
maintains
just
enough
interest
in
what
they
find,
whether
they
find
a
doubloon
or
they
find
a
belt
buckle
from
the
1600s
or
they
they've
uncovered
a
stone
robe
that
was
built
from
a
wharf
and
they're
trying
to
figure
out.
B
Why
would
that
road
be
there
and
they've
been
able
to
carbon
date,
some
of
the
timbers
that
were
underlying
the
stone?
And
it's
literally
week
after
week
after
week
now
for
almost
four
years
of
ketchup,
and
I
think
I'm
about
two-thirds
of
the
way
through.
Usually
what
happens
is
I
fall
asleep
in
the
middle
of
an
episode
and
the
next
day
I
have
to
go
back
and
find
where.
D
A
Yeah
toby's
got
a
lot
of
old
movies
that
I
found
that
I
found
some
really
interesting
ones
and
some
good
ones,
one
that
sandra
bullock
was
a
a
cop
in
it
and,
I
think,
was
a
2002
movie.
I
watched
another
2012
movie.
I
usually
don't
like
a
lot
of
the
old
movies,
but
but
some
of
them
have
been
that
I've
discovered
have
been
pretty
good.
I
like
some
of
the
ones
even
going
back
to
the
40s
yeah,
but
I
don't
know
I
sometimes
I
like
to
relate
to
something
a
little
more
modern.
A
B
A
Good,
okay,
I'll
take
the
next
subject.
I
got
a
new
car
this
week
stan
all
right.
D
A
I
don't
think
I
need
to
sound,
but
I'll
share
it
anyway,
and
let
me
find
my
and
there
it
is
oh
yeah
new
car
it.
It
came
thursday,
it
came
tuesday,
I
put
it
together
over
the
weekend.
It
wasn't
much
to
put
it
together.
These
little
side,
plastic
side
rails
on
both
sides
of
it
were
in
pieces
and
you
had
to
screw
them
together
and
then
screw
them
to
the
base.
A
The
camera
came
a
month
ago
and
that
just
sits
on
top
of
here,
but
the
little
thing
that
it
that
it's
on
you
had
to
just
fit
in
place
and
click
it
into
place,
and
that
was
pretty
much
all
there
was
to
putting
it
together,
but
it
took
me
a
few
minutes
and
I
started
playing
with
it
the
biggest
problem
and
here's
here's
what
it
looks
like
on
my
phone,
the
biggest
problem
is:
there's
no
instructions,
there's
no
manual
that
tells
you
how
to
run
the
software
so
to
record
the
video
I'm
not.
A
I
still
haven't
been
able
to
do
that.
I
was
able
to
snap
a
couple
of
pictures
with
with
this
picture.
I
don't
know
if
you
can
see
my
ear
yeah,
my
you,
my
cursor,
that
takes
pictures.
That's
video!
This
is,
you,
can
talk
and
it'll
record
your
voice.
A
This
is
the
little
horn
and
then
this
is
the
little
light.
So
you
come
back
here.
This
is
a
light
that
you
can
turn
on
and
off
it
does
require.
It
does
require
the
wi-fi
to
set
it
up.
So
you
and
2.4
it
doesn't
work
on
the
5
gigahertz
or
the
you
got
to
have
the
2.4
set
your
wi-fi
to
2.4,
and
then
you
can
set
it
up
and
I
don't
know
things
weren't
working
and
then
all
of
a
sudden
they
started
to
work.
A
So
I
don't
know
what
I
did
and
what
I
didn't
do
right,
but
it
didn't
follow
the
directions
exactly
as
it
said
it
was
supposed
to,
but
I
finally
got
it
to
work,
so
I
got
it
to
run
around
the
house
a
little
bit
but
you're
supposed
to
be
able
to
take
it
outside
and
then
run
it
without
the
wi-fi,
but
I'm
not
quite
sure
how
to
do
that
and
I'm
not
sure
how
to
record.
A
So
I
I
guess
in
the
camera,
in
the
back
of
the
little
camera,
there
is
a
slot
for
a
card
sd
card,
so
I've
got
a.
I
think
I
got
128
and
I
think
I
got
a
64.
I'll,
probably
stick
the
64
in
it
just
to
play
with
it
and
see
if
I
can
record
to
it,
but
when
I
recorded
the
two
pictures
to
it,
it
did
save
me
in
my
gallery
and
and
push
them
up
to
my
google
photos.
A
So
it
does
seem
to
work
it's
kind
of
neat.
I
don't
know
what
I'm
going
to
use
it
for,
except
I'm
hoping
to
by
the
way
the
camera
does
have
a
base
on
it
that
you
can
raise
it
up,
a
little
probably
an
inch
or
so,
and
then
you
can
tilt
it.
So
you
can
be
facing
up
if
I
had
a
pet
or
something
it
might
be
fun
to
follow
it
around
and
bug
the
heck
out
of
it.
But
I,
but
we
don't,
but
it's
supposed
to
run
about
two
hours.
A
A
No
not
really
and
and
the
and,
as
I
say,
there's
no
there's
no
manual
at
all
for
the
software
there's,
no,
no,
nothing.
It
tells
you
here's
the
extent
of
it.
Basically
it
does.
A
What
was
I
going
to
say
it?
The
only
camera
that
we'll
use
is
version
two
of
their
wise
camera,
which
they
no
longer
are
selling,
but
you
can
apparently
they
have
some
now
that
you
can
get
if
you
get
the
car
and
one
fella.
I
know
I
was
talking
to.
He
got
the
car,
but
he
bought
the
camera
through
ebay
because
he
couldn't
get
it
through
them,
but
when
I
ordered
it
with
the
with
the
bundle,
I
got
the
the
oh
and
it
comes
with
a
power
bank
too
that
straps
in
it.
A
So
that's
where
you
get
the
two
hours.
It's
it's
it's
it's
a
regular.
You
know
a
power
bank
that
that
you
would
use
to
say
to
charge
a
phone,
a
portable
unit
to
charge
your
phone
or
something,
but
you
can
get
it
along
with
the
camera.
The
whole
thing
was
like
80
bucks.
A
It's
supposed
to
be
able
to,
they
say,
don't
don't
run
it
in
snow
or
rain
or
anything
wet,
but
I
did
see
some
videos
of
some
people
they
shot.
It
was
going
across
their
grass,
it
didn't
do
too
bad,
the
grass
wasn't
too
high,
and
so,
when
I'm
going
to
run
it
down
the
street
in
my
little
village
here
and
and
see.
If
I
can
take
some
pictures
in
the
next
couple
of
days
and
chase
it
around
a
little
bit.
A
Yeah
there's
this
there's
a
a
button.
You
can
push
or
a
thing
that
you
can
push.
It
says
with
it
to
use
without
wi-fi,
but
I
don't
know
how.
Then
it
works
so.
A
Bluetooth,
5
and
above
5.0,
5.1
5.2.
If
you've
got
4.2,
no,
it
doesn't
reach
that
far
and
it
also
doesn't
work
as
well
and
lasts
as
long.
So
you
got
to
be
careful
whenever
you
buy
anything
to
make
sure
that
you've
that
it
has
the
ability
to
to
do
5.0
and
that
the
device
that
you
have
you
want
to
pair
with
it
is
also
5
to
5.2.
A
I
bought
some
bone
connection,
a
headset
and
I
made
sure
they
have
one
that's
a
little
bit
cheaper,
but
it's
a
4.2
and
it'll
only
it'll
only
last
about
two
hours.
This
one
lasts
about
six
to
eight
hours.
D
Yeah
I've
got
a
fitbit
that
I
I
had
and
I
wore
it
at
night
and
it
would
come
off
on
the
bed
and
one
day
I
I
was
missing
it
and
I
was
hunting
all
over
and
I
kept
showing
that
when
I
was
in
the
bedroom
on
my
phone,
it
showed
that
it
was
close
by
and
lo
and
behold
when
I
went
outside
to
do
something
I
found
it
outside
in
the
in
the
grass
and.
D
E
Okay,
well
last
month,
I
talked
about
a
new
ham
radio
antenna
that
I
bought
used,
that
I
was
refurbishing
and
putting
off
and
working
on,
and
I
was
still
in
the
middle
of
it
didn't
have
any
pictures
that
I
was
ready
to
display.
E
So
I
I'm
set
up
now
to
do
that.
But
before
I
go
there
a
few
months
ago,
I
also
talked
about
that.
I
house
got
hit
by
lightning
and
I
lost
modems.
Tv
sets
a
whole
a
whole
larger
list
of
stuff,
including
a
hit
into
my
ham,
radio,
which
had
nothing
connected
to
it,
but
it
took
out
a
driver
transistor
which
took
me
a
long
time
to
fix
and
I
never
knew
how
it
lightning
hit
it.
E
So
when
I
was
a
couple
of
weeks
ago
working
on
an
antenna-
I
I
it
did,
I
checked
it
with
an
antenna,
analyzer
a
check
wrong
to
make
a
long
story
short
after
I
started
making
resistance
readings
and
checking
everything
out.
I
came
down
to
these
two
parts
here
that
are
basically
pl,
259
ham,
radio,
connectors
or
called
uhf
connectors,
and
you
can
see
this
one
was
in
the
antenna
outside.
E
It's
all
black
and
the
inside's
pretty
much
gone
when
I
had
it
when
I
took
it
out,
I
had
to
kind
of
force
it.
I
couldn't
pull
it
out.
You
know
when
I
got
it
apart,
it
kind
of
came
apart
this
one
over
here
was
in
the
house,
and
you
know
it's
got
a
center
conductor
and
then
the
shield.
E
And
it's
basically,
you
know
open.
You
know
it's
two
different
contacts.
It
reads.
I
think
it
reads
something
like
17
000
ohms,
so
it's
got
a
permanent
resistance
in
here
now
so
now
I
know
where
the
lightning
came
in
because
I
saw
a
flash.
E
So
what
I
want
to
show
today,
let's
see
if
I
can
pull
this
off
so
unfortunately,
I
took
pictures
with
two
different
cameras,
one
my
iphone
and
want
a
camera.
So
the
pictures
are
not
going
to
be.
E
Wow,
it's
actually
working,
so
this
is
not
day
one,
but
this
is
early
on
when
I
was
getting
the
antenna
apart.
It's
about
21,
feet
of
tubing
and
antennas
and
the
fat
pieces
of
tubing
is
where
the
coils
are
there's
four
of
them
and
you
can
see
in
the
lower
right
there's
like
an
orange
coil,
it's
basically
wearing
around
an
insulator
with
that
connects
the
two
aluminum
tubes
on
the
top
and
bottom
of
it
was
open.
E
So
you
know
it
took
me
a
couple
days
to
to
repair
that,
and
maybe
that's
why
the
antenna
was
taken
down.
Well,
maybe
it
went
bad,
but
it
was
in
storage,
but
I
noticed
it
was
in
storage,
so
this
was
in
the
middle
of
cleaning
it
up,
so
these
pictures
are
going
to
be
out
of
order,
so
I'm
going
to
zoom
back
to
the
top
of
my
okay,
so
the
antenna,
connector
dx
engineering,
sells
all
kinds
of
accessories.
E
E
You
know
doing
my
own
engineering,
no
power
tools.
This
is
all
hand,
tools,
dremels
and
vices
and
screwdrivers,
and
you
know
so
there
I
am
just
progressing
on
it
and
then
getting
its
shape
and
there
it
is
with
a
connector
on
it.
They
sell
us
for
about
80
or
90.
So
there's
no
way.
I
was
I'm
too
cheap
to
spend
that
kind
of
money
on
a
piece
of
piece
of
aluminum.
E
So
that's
the
bottom
of
it.
That's
what
they
want
you
to
connect
your
antenna
directly
to
which
is
right
underneath
so
when
you
connect
it
there
you're,
like
that's
like
permanent,
you
know
I
like
to
be
able
to
take
it
off
and
on
especially
for
tuning.
So
of
course
you
tune
the
antenna
at
the
antenna
at
first
in
any
tuner
from
in
the
house.
E
So
there's
my
pl
259
connector,
there's
just
a
little
bit
later
picture
after
I
got
things
pretty
cleaned
up.
I
was
wire
wheeling
everything
and
those
those
are
all
the
tubes
and
all
the
traps
and
I'm
kind
of
getting
it
cleaned
up
there.
E
This
was,
I
put
a
not
a
pole,
but
I
had
to
hunt
the
metal.
I
shoved
it
in
the
ground
and
I
connected
the
mount
to
it
over
it
at
my
garage
opposite,
my
garage,
so
I
could
play
with
it
to
just
get
familiar
with
it.
This
is
the
other
side
of
the
house
where
the
antenna
was
going
to
go
so
that
this
was
my
test
site,
and
this
is
where
I
was
going
to
put
it
initially
in
my
backyard,
seemed
like
a
good
place.
E
Didn't
work
out.
I
put
the
whole
thing
in
you
know:
pounded
the
five
foot,
steel,
galvanized
rod
pipe
in
the
ground
and
hooked
everything
up
and
it
didn't
tune
because
it
was
too
near
the
metal
fence.
I
was
hoping
I
wouldn't
have
the
problem,
but
it
did
happen
so
there
it
is,
it
was
all
installed.
I
had
to
take
everything
down
and
apart
so
well
there's
the
first
picture.
E
We
had
another
picture
of
the
my
fabrication
there
with
the
pl259
connector
the
female
end,
and
there
I
am
with
my
engineering,
pulling
the
thing
out
of
the
ground
with
a
jack.
I
connected
a
pipe
wrench
to
it
and
just
pushed
it
up
until
it
was
high
enough
to
where
I
could
I've,
because
I
I
couldn't
move
it
once
was
in
the
ground.
E
E
I
tape
the
levels
to
the
pipe,
so
I
can
get
it
to
go
in
straight
and
there's
my
pipe
in
there
now.
I
got
the
mount
on
the
on
the
pipe
and
this
is
another
piece.
This
antenna
needs
a
grounding
system
and
basically
it's
done
with
white
you've
seen
antennas
on
roofs
with
radials
and
that's
like
the
the
other
part
of
the
radio
wave.
E
E
I
must
have
this
thing
for
15
years,
and
so
I
started
cutting
and
bending
and
imagining
how
it
maybe
should
take
shape,
and
then
there
it
is
with
my
screw
holes
and
the
two
big
holes
at
the
top
have
been
attached
to
the
the
big
pole
and
I
put
that
wire
on
there
for
some
extra
grounding,
because
I
really
didn't
trust
the
contact
grounding.
E
So
now
I
am
just
starting
out
putting
wires
out
and
they're
going
to
go
360
degrees
around
the
antenna.
I
wound
up
with
29
wires
from
12
feet
to
32
feet
and
they're
all
buried
in
the
ground
took
me.
I
don't
know
how
long
I
didn't
time
it.
It
was
like
it
was
a
lot
of
work
because
I
had
to
open
up
the
ground
with
a
big
bowie
knife
and
I
just
went
an
inch
at
a
time.
E
You
know
I
don't
know
how
long
I
was
at
this,
maybe
10
days.
So
all
of
this
path
all
have
wires
in
it.
You
can't
see
them
but
they're
there
and
all
that
shrubbery.
The
wires
are
on
the
ground
going
down
the
shrubbery,
both
sides,
the
bush
they're-
not
shrubbery,
it's
bushes
and
there
I
don't
know.
If
I
can
make
this
bigger,
I'm
afraid
to
touch
and
stamp
thing.
I
might
lose
the
picture.
E
So
there
there's
the
finished
product
at
29
wires
going
out
and
they
recommend
30
to
60
wires.
Guys
have
run
this
with
no
wires
at
all
or
one
wire.
So
anyway,.
E
E
You
need
it's
the
second
part
of
the
of
the
waveform,
I'm
not
explaining
this
well,
but
you
might
say
it's
the
negative
side
of
the
waveform
going
out.
You
know
the
positive
sides
on
top
and
the
negatives
on
the
bottom,
the
best
I
can
explain
it,
and
so,
but
you've
seen
you
know
like
cb
antennas,
and
you
know
like
on
a
car
on
mobile,
the
car
itself.
E
So
that's
another
path
I
got
between
my
bush.
This
is
a
better
place
to
put
it
because
I
had
a
lot
more
space
to
play
around
than
in
my
yard.
I
don't
know
why
I
didn't
think
it
was
original,
but
I
did
have
enough
wire
to
make
it
out
here
with
the
piece
of
wire
that
I
had.
It
was
about
62
feet,
65
feet
and
this
shot,
I'm
actually
standing
on
my
roof
above
my
house,
and
I
took
this
shot.
E
B
E
There
are
specific
requirements
to
have
specific
radials.
They
have
to
be
specific
lengths
to
work
properly
and
you
know
the
antenna
I
got
on
the
house.
My
six
meter
antenna,
that's
on
a
20
20-foot
steel
pole
that
wouldn't
work
out
there
at
all,
and
everything
else
is
on
a
pvc
pole,
and
this
obviously
is
too
heavy
for
a
pvc
pole.
So
I
really
didn't
have
it,
you
know,
have
a
spot,
that's
secure
enough
even
to
go
on
the
house.
E
E
Well,
I
it
comes
out
my
window
and
then
it
goes
down
the
top
of
my
eaves
and
it
goes
down
my
drain
pipe
the
side
of
my
drain
pipe.
Then
it
goes
under
the
ground
where
I've
got
a
door
through
the
gate.
It
goes
under
the
gate,
then
it
comes
back
up
and
it
runs
along
the
fence
line,
and
then
it
makes
a
left
turn
to
where
it
is
over.
Here.
E
So
it
this
fence
right
here
is
coming
down
this
fence
and
it's
going
across
under
the
ground
and
and
then
there's
the
fence
line.
Also
so
it's
above
ground
over
there.
It's
just
you
know.
I
just
hung
it
over
there
with
time
wraps
something
like
that.
I
just
tied
it
off.
I
didn't
run
it.
I
only
ran
it
under
the
ground
where
the
gate
was.
B
E
It's
a
six
band
antenna
and
all
those
traps
tune
to
those
frequencies
and
the
traps
are
adjustable.
E
So
you've
got
four
traps
for
10,
15,
20
and
and
30,
and
then
80
is
on
the
top
and
that
little
wire
sticks
in
that
big
coil
and
you
pull
the
wire
up
and
down
to
adjust
the
frequency
which
I
did
and
then
the
entire
length
of
the
antenna.
E
Is
for
40
meters?
It's
actually,
you
know
so.
B
E
E
So
but
I
haven't
really
gotten
out
there
calling
cq
and
see
how
it
really
works.
I
just
you
know
I
get
so
busy
at
night
half
the
time
where
I'm
falling
asleep
from
working
to
ponderosa.
Here
you
know
I
have
so
much
work
there
to
do
there
today.
Sometimes
I
haven't
had
a
lot
of
time
to
really
really
use
it.
A
A
No,
no,
I
I
totally
understand
yeah.
You
did
say
way
in
the
beginning
of
what
you
were
talking
about.
You
weren't
sure
how
the
lightning
hit
the
cable.
Well,
I
can
remember
back
stan
you
remember
when
I
had
the
computer
store
with
with
and
and
casper,
and
it
was
long
yeah
with
jim
dave
daly.
We
had,
we
were
doing
apc,
not
apc
ug,
apc.
A
Of
power,
conversion
of
the
backups,
and
so
we
did
a
lot
of
work
for
lightning,
lightning,
repairs
for
insurance
companies
and
so
on,
and
I
can
remember
somebody
called
us:
maybe
it
was
in
the
maybe
it
was
the
cfcs
meeting,
I
don't
recall,
but
they
said
they
used
to
every
time.
A
There
was
a
lightning
storm,
they'd
unplug,
their
their
power
cord,
so
their
computer
wouldn't
get
hit
and
their
computer
got
hit
and
what
happened
was
it
was
probably
maybe
a
foot,
maybe
less
than
a
foot
where
they
unplugged
it
and
left
the
plug
on
the
floor
and
it
actually
jumped
from
the
plug
to
do
the
plug,
even
though
that
wasn't
plugged
in
it
still
zapped
her
system
or
their
system.
E
Doing
right,
it
sure
does,
and-
and
you
know
this
six
meter
antenna,
which
is
on
the
side
of
my
house,
on
a
20-foot
pole
that
sticks
up
about.
E
It's
on
a
20-foot
pole
and
then
it
sticks
up
another
six,
six
or
eight
feet
whatever,
but
that
20-foot
pole
is
grounded.
So
maybe
it'd
help
you
know
deflecting
the
lightning
because
it
could
have
been
worse.
If
I
didn't
have
it
grounded
so.
E
But
when
I
was
sitting
here,
I
was
on
a
zoo
with
another
organization,
and
I
saw
the
ark
go
from
the
shield
of
the
of
the
connector
of
one
of
the
radio
connectors
right
to
the
radio.
I
mean
I
saw
in
the
ark,
and
I
got
a
little
shocked
just
sitting
here
on
my
my
insulated
chair.
A
Yeah
yeah,
you're,
lucky
actually
and
and
just
to
go
a
little
bit
further
about
our
connections.
Here,
we've
got
clint
who's
in
idaho
and
I
see
candace
says
she's
in
bushnell
florida.
So
I
don't
know
where
john
is,
but
we
certainly
have
a
a
wide
range
of
users
right
here
tonight.
So.
A
Great,
but
but
yeah
lightning
and
we're
in
the
lightning
capital
of
the
world
is
where
the
point
I
was
going
to
with
this
is
the
fact
that
the
central
florida
is
known
for
its
lightning
number
of
lightning
strikes.
So
there's
a
good
possibility.
When
you
put
a
pole
up,
it's
going
to
get
hit
sometime.
E
You
know
I
lived
in
atlanta,
georgia
and
I
was
working.
E
I
had
a
tv
repair
business,
I
did
it
in
new
york,
I
worked
for
somebody
and
then
I
left
new
york
and
left
the
snow
and
went
to
atlanta
for
11
years
and
I
had
a
partner.
We
had
a
tv
service
business,
but
anyway
we
did
a
lot
of
lightning
repairs.
E
We
we
repaired
the
tuners
and
we
repaired
the
power
supplies
that
hit
by
lightning
and
they
just
lightning
just
has
no
rules.
A
Yep
yeah
being
in
the
computer
business
and
and
stan
those
two
from
all
the
repair
work
that
he's
done
over
the
years,
that
the
lightning
can
do
a
number
here
in
here
in
florida,
especially
on
any
device
and
just
having
your
telephone
plugged
into
it.
From
for
the
old
for
the
old
modems
and
and
for
now,
your
internet
and
so
on.
It
can
come
that,
come
in
that
way
and
come
through
the
back
door.
So
even
if
you
unplug
it,
if
you're
connected
to
something,
you
can
still
get
hit
so.
D
A
Well,
wayne
and
candace
see
what
we
do
and
clint
you
have
anything.
You
want
to
talk
about
love
to
have
you.
D
Hi
chris,
I
recently
upgraded
a
modem.
You
know
in
the
for
my
well
for
the
internet
that
I
have
here.
D
My
provider
had
indicated
that
the
modem
that
I
had
was
not
capable
of
handling
the
speeds
that
they've
upped
it
to,
and
so
I
purchased
a
new
modem
here
and
I've
installed
it
a
couple
weeks
ago.
Interesting
thing
is
now:
I
can
actually
monitor
and
and
see
what
all
is
hooked
up
using
my
phone
on
this.
It's
a
netgear.
D
D
I
noticed
is
one
of
the
vizio
tvs
that
we
have
in
the
house.
It
seems
to
be
hooked
up
to
it.
A
A
When
I
I
have
a
frontier,
fios
or
fiber
optics,
and
I
was
I
was
paying
for
first
200
and
then
I
went
to
and
then
it
was
300
megabits
megabits
per
second
up
and
down,
which
is
nice.
That's
what
fiber
will
give
you,
but
I
recently
upped
it
to
a
giga
gigabit.
A
So
I'm
getting.
If
I
make
the
right
connection
I'll,
I
can
get
900
and
something
down
and
900
and
something
up
wow
and
it's
nice,
but
they
swapped
out
the
equipment,
but
they
didn't
swap
out
the
router
and
that-
and
I
was
paying
ten
dollars
a
month
for
the
router
and
the
guy
that
did
the
installation
said:
yeah,
we
don't
have
any,
we
don't
have
any
other
routers,
he
says,
and
this
one's
a
piece
of
crap.
A
He
said
if
you
want
you
can
get
your
own
and
and
and
when
I
went
to
turn
it
in
they
didn't
even
want
it.
They
said,
throw
it
away,
so
they
didn't
want
it
back,
but
I
did
get.
A
E
Okay,
I
have
a
question
for
you,
so
so
you
get
900,
which
is
great,
but
how
does
that
work
with
the
rest
of
the
world
which
is
not
on
900.
D
A
But
most
you
know,
most
of
the
major
places
are
fast.
They've
got
a
lot
of
bandwidth,
so
I
don't
have
a
problem
with
that.
So
when
I
do
the
testing-
and
let
me
just
show
you-
let
me
share
my
screen
here
for
a
moment
and
share,
and
I
try
different
testing
programs.
But
let's
take
this
one
and
we'll
come
over
here
and
it'll
vary.
A
B
A
Automatically
yeah,
that's
that's
from
them,
so
so
I
I'm
kind
of
disappointed
because
it's
only
showing
400
and
but
I
and
I
can
sometimes
see
it-
go
to
to
900.
Sometimes
it'll
only
be
200.
yeah.
I
am
direct
wired,
I'm
not
using
wi-fi
for
this
computer
and
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
my
equipment.
I
have
an
old
ipad.
The
ipad
can't
get
can't
go
above
100.
A
D
A
B
So,
as
paul
said
it's
and,
and
you
you
emphasize
it's
only
as
as
good
as
the
weakest
link
yeah,
I
have
a
little
presentation
tonight,
I'll
talk
to
you
about
the
t-mobile
gateway,
but
in
my
investigations
on
it,
I
finally
realized
after
testing
the
speed
of
my
smart
tv
streaming,
that
I'm
using
an
old
linksys
switch
at
the
end
of
an
ethernet
cable
running
from
my
one
gigabit
router
through
the
walls
over
to
the
entertainment
center.
Well
back
then
100
megabits
per
second
was
pretty
fast
yeah.
B
B
A
I
guess
you
can't
see
it
when
I
hold
it
up,
but
it's
this
is
a
netgear,
a
gigabit
ethernet
switch
yeah,
eight
port
and
the
reason
it's
still
in
the
box.
I
don't
need
it.
Oh
well,
okay,
how
do
I
buy
it
from
you?
A
I
I
eventually
I
will
because
I
have
everything's
full
on
my
on
my
router,
but
the
router
has
got
four
ports
in
it
and
everything
else
is
wi-fi.
Yeah.
D
A
Don't
I
do
have
a
usb
c
to
ethernet
for
my
test
windows
11
machine
which
right
now
I'm
not
using,
but
I
can
use
it
with
my
with
my
chromebook
as
well,
so
I
can
be
hardwired
with
my
chromebook
if
I
want
it
to
be,
but
that's
a
nice
little
piece
of
equipment
too,
was
just
a
usbc
to
ether
to
ethernet.
A
A
Yeah
most
of
the
newer
ones
are
how
many
ports
do
you
have
in
the
back
of
it.
A
B
Something
else
that
I
did
too
when
I
was
looking
as
I
was
started,
looking
at
my
ethernet
cables,
because
my
little
network
center
has
been
there
for
years
and
some
of
them
aren't
even
cat5e
they're
cat
3
cables,
so
I've
got.
I
have
a
an
upgrade
project
to
do
over
the
next
several
weeks
is
to
try
to
replace
all
the
cables
with
cat6.
I
might
as
well
just
go
ahead
and
get
cat
six
cables.
A
And
you
know:
there's
cat
seven
and
cat
eight
two
you
can
get
not
that
it
makes
any
difference
by
the
way
when
I,
when
I
was
talking
to
the
the
cable
guy
or
the
the
guy,
putting
in
the
the
upgrade
to
my
gigabit
service,
and
I
asked
him
I
said
I
bought
cat
six
or
cat
seven.
I
can't
remember
what
I
bought,
but
I
bought
some
cat
six
cat,
seven
cable,
you
know,
should
I
replace
the
ones
that
I
have
he
says.
B
D
Well,
one
of
the
other
one
of
the
other
problems
I
had
on
the
2.4
gigahertz
speed
on
the
wi-fi.
You
know
I've
got
printers
and
all
kinds
of
things,
one
of
my
printers
it
didn't
work
after
I
put
this
new
modem
in
because
I'd
had
it
at
the
higher
security
setting
and
it
wasn't
working.
So
I
had
a
downgrade
too.
I
think
it's
wpa2
instead
of
wpa3.
A
So
it's
you
got
to
be
careful,
and
sometimes
they
just
won't
talk
to
it.
Unless
you
down
downgrade
your
equipment
that
you
bought
to
be
the
higher
ends,
so
yeah.
A
A
B
B
Yeah,
no
muting
anything
okay,
those
of
you
who
are
members
of
the
central
florida
computer
society
saw
an
email
from
me
sometime
back
when
I
got
a
solicitation
from
t-mobile
to
get
their
5g
gateway
device
for
home,
internet
and
I've.
I've
read
about
this
and
we've
talked
about
it
and
you
know
felt
well
it's
coming
sometime,
but
it's
certainly
not
ready
for
prime
time
whatever,
but
I
figured
well.
What
have
I
got
to
lose
I'll
check
it
and
see
so.
B
B
You
can
take
your
finger
and
you
can
swipe
across
it
and
go
to
various
different
displays
to
control
the
thing
it
is
wi-fi
six,
so
the
the
new
wi-fi
six
technology
allows
for
faster
connections,
without
more
power
and
and
and
so
on,
and
it's
just
just
using
if
you
have
a
wi-fi
6
device
at
the
other
end,
which
apparently
my
new
tv
is,
although
I
haven't
tried
it
wi-fi
yet
yeah.
This
is
a
much
better
picture
of
the
display
in
the
center.
B
So
let's
talk
about
faster
speeds.
Wider
range
beam
forming
well
beam,
forming,
maybe
depending
on
where
it
is
in
your
house.
B
One
of
the
nice
things
when
I
got
it
was,
I
didn't
realize
it
had
ethernet
connections,
I
hadn't
scrolled
down
and
took
a
look
at
it,
so
it
actually
has
two
ethernet
output,
so
it
can
now
be
essentially
a
replacement
for
the
spectrum
modem
that
I
have
and
just
take
an
output
from
this
and
plug
it
into
my
netgear
orbi,
which
is
a
mesh
network
with
four
satellites
that
goes
to
the
rest
of
the
house,
and
if
I
just
go
ahead
and
go
to
the
plan
details.
B
This
is
what
got
my
attention
50
bucks
a
month
as
long
as
you
just
sign
up
for
autopay,
and
they
say
they
claim
200
to
500
gigabits.
They
claim.
Okay,
we'll
take
a
look
talk
about
a
little
bit
of
what
what
I
got
and
doing
it
now.
That
is
not
the
data
is
not
capped.
The
data
does
not
slow
down
as
some
of
the
other
cellular
internet
plants
are.
B
B
Currently
I
pay
70
with
taxes
for
my
spectrum
and
what
really
caught
my
attention
is
that
over
the
last
say,
six
weeks,
spectrum
has
been
dropping
on
me
and
at
the
most
inopportune
times,
I'm
I'm
working
developing
a
website
and
I'd
be
right
in
the
middle
of
the
website
at
three
in
the
afternoon.
All
of
a
sudden,
I
can't
update
the
website
because
I
have
no
internet
and
spectrum
has
an
app
which
is
on
my
cell
phone,
and
I
check
it
out
and
they'd
say
we're
sorry
for
the
interruption.
B
We
expect
to
have
your
service
back
by
8
pm
and
it's
3
in
the
afternoon.
You
know.
Well,
I
can't
go
watch
tv
because
my
tv
is
streaming.
I
guess
I
have
to
go,
read
a
book
or
something
so
with
with
all
the
discussions
huey
had
given
us
on
on
starlink.
B
I
said
you
know,
maybe
it's
time
to
think
about
starlink,
but
starlink
you
got
to
have
coverage
and
in
florida
you
don't
always
get
the
three
or
four
satellite
coverage
that
you
need.
So
you
might
wind
up
with
like
90
percent
coverage
and
during
the
period
of
time,
when
you
only
have
50
coverage,
you
might
drop
out
of
the
internet
same
problem,
so
I
said
all
right.
I
got
to
do
something
so
I
said
all
right,
I'll
click
on
check,
availability.
I
put
in
my
zip
code,
my
address
and
boom.
B
They
said
it's
available
in
your
area.
Okay,
I
signed
up
equipment
fee,
zero
installation,
setup,
zero,
no
cancellation,
fee,
zero,
no
contract,
overage
zero.
I
said:
okay
I'll,
try
it.
So
let
me
close
this
and
behind
it
I
should
have
my
pictures.
Okay,
this
is
my
office
and
here's
the
device
sitting
on
my
hutch.
B
B
Okay,
so
this
is
my
spectrum
modem,
and
this
is
my
netgear
orbee
mesh
network
base
station
it.
It
also
has
three
ethernet
outputs,
which
go
to
a
switch
which
is
over
here
on
the
left
hand,
side
and
at
the
moment
the
netgear
is
plugged
into
the
orbi.
B
So
you
can
see
that
I'm
getting
over
what
I'm
asking
for
I'm
sorry
for
the
fuzziness,
but
essentially
sitting
on
top
of
my
hutch.
I
would
get
anywhere
between
two
and
three
bars,
and
this
is
when
I
started
talking
to
paul
about
the
possibility
of
an
antenna
for
this
unit,
which
is
a
separate
subject.
B
So
now
I
wanted
to
do
a
test
which
I
took.
The
t-mobile
took
the
plug
from
the
spectrum
out,
took
the
plug
from
the
t-mobile
and
plugged
it
into
the
orbee,
restarted
everything,
because
you
got
to
restart
everything
to
have
everything
registered
and
then
I
ran
a
speed
test.
Okay,
that's
not
too
bad
a
little
higher
on
the
ping,
half
the
speed,
but
it
was
at
107
megabits.
B
B
B
So
let
me
take
the
orbi
and
go
to
my
notebook
using
t-mobile
coming
to
the
orbi
and
my
speed
actually
went
up.
I
guess
it's
because
of
what
I
was
talking
about
earlier.
Some
of
my
cables
are
not
the
latest
cables.
My
switch,
isn't
the
latest
switch
and
the
wi-fi
going
out
is
much
better
connection,
which
is
kind
of
the
opposite
of
what
you
would
expect
to
see.
B
Okay,
now
I
took
the
t-mobile
and
took
my
notebook
and
connected
directly
to
it
with
the
wi-fi
six.
Now
I
don't
think
my
notebook
is
a
wi-fi
six
standard.
It's
a
dell
that
was
manufactured
back
in
june,
but
it's
close
so
again,
I'm
getting
129,
which
is
not
much
different.
B
Okay,
then
I
went
to
my
tv
and
if,
if
you
have
netflix,
a
lot
of
people
may
not
realize
that
netflix
has
its
own
diagnostics
built
in.
If
you,
if
you
go
to
your
netflix
menu
on
whatever
your
source
is,
and
you
go
to
help
and
then
this
is
the
help
that
you
screen
that
you
get
and
then
you
say,
check
your
network.
It'll
go,
do
a
number
of
different
servers
and
check
your
connection
and
tell
you
what
your
connection
speed
is.
B
So
this
was
my
spectrum
to
my
orbee
and
then
the
an
ethernet
cable,
because
I
have
cables
in
the
wall
going
to
my
entertainment
center
and
I
have
my
old.
As
I
said,
linksys
switch
so
I'm
at
93,
I
would
have
expected
closer
to
200,
but
now
I
realize
why
okay,
so
then
I
re-ran
the
test,
and
this
time
I
took
the
t-mobile
ethernet
then
to
the
sony
tv
so
that
my
source
now
is
the
t-mobile
and
it's
about
the
same
speed.
B
How
can
you
improve
your
signal
that
got
me
thinking
all
right,
where's,
my
cell
tower,
my
the
wall
of
my
office
faces
due
north,
and
this
is
due
north
going
down
my
street
to
the
first
cross
street
and
you
can
see
here
is
a
tower
that
I
thought
was
a
cell
tower
and
I
could
see
it
and
as
the
crow
flies,
it's
probably
a
tenth
of
a
mile
away,
probably
a
tenth
of
a
mile
somewhere
like
that.
B
So
I
drove
to
it,
and
I
found
that
really
this
tower
doesn't
have
a
lot
of
antennas
on
it
and
it's
also
in
a
duke
energy
transformer
farm.
So
I'm
thinking
nah,
I
don't
think
that's
cellular,
I
think
that's
probably
their
business
network.
You
know
where
they
talk
to
their
trucks
and
dispatch
and
all
the
rest
of
that.
But
if
you
take
a
look
inside
this
square
and
blow
that
up
a
little
bit.
B
Looking
further
north,
if
this
is
a
tenth
of
a
mile
from
my
house,
this
is
probably
a
quarter
mile
to
maybe
a
half
a
mile
from
my
house,
and
here
is
another
set
of
antennas.
Okay.
So
we-
and
this
shows
you-
here's
my
home
and
here's
that
first
tower
and
about
probably
about
a
quarter
of
a
mile
away
with
that
other
set
of
further
up
okay.
B
There
aren't
very
many
antennas
on
this
thing,
and
now
you
can
see
my
house
the
first
set
of
towers,
the
second
set
of
towers,
and
I
was
looking
at
my
phone
connected
to
the
t-mobile
4g,
which
had
improved
its
signal
and
on
a
subsequent
drive
out
with
the
t-mobile
hotspot
in
my
car
operating
on
battery
at
this
location,
I
was
still
only
getting
two
to
three
bars,
which
kind
of
led
me
to
believe.
This
can't
possibly
also
be
the
cellular
tower.
B
So
I
continued
to
hunt
and
the
next
set
of
towers
is
located
at
the
oviedo
city
hall.
That's
a
cellular
tower
array,
okay,
more
antennas
than
you
care
to
think
about.
So
I
took,
as
I
say,
I
took
the
the
wi-fi
gateway
with
me.
It's
got
a
battery
and
at
that
location,
I'm
sitting
in
the
parking
lot
right
here,
I'm
getting
four
bars.
I
was
surprised
I
wasn't
getting
five,
but
maybe
the
angle
of
shooting
up
at
these
things
and
the
fact
that
their
beam
is
going
out
instead
of
down.
B
Maybe
if
I'd
gone
further
away
from
it,
I
would
have
gotten
up
to
five,
I'm
not
sure,
but
I
also
learned
that
the
battery
that's
in
there,
I
think,
is
only
preserving
the
settings,
it's
allowing
it
to
light
off
and
connect,
but
with
my
notebook
that
was
in
the
car
and
also
my
cell
phone,
I
couldn't
connect
to
it
came
back
home
and
I
was
able
to
connect.
So
that's
my
next
test,
we're
going
to
paul's
going
to
either
loan
me,
or
I
think
I
have
an
inverter
here
at
the
house
and
I'll
power.
B
B
But
if
I
decide
to
see
if
actually
going
back
to
those
towers
and
getting
four
to
five
bars,
which
is
the
signal
strength
improves,
my
wi-fi
throughput
to
my
notebook
makes
it
worthwhile.
Then
we
might
investigate
putting
an
external
antenna
on
it.
B
The
interesting
thing
was
that
it
does
not
have
an
antenna
jack
on
the
side
of
it,
but
I
remember
I
found
it
or
paul
found
it.
There's
a
website
that
actually
talks
about
taking
it
apart
and
they're
actually
antenna
connectors
inside
and
you
you
can
get
an
omnidirectional
antenna
for
about
120
or
130
dollars,
something
like
that
and
with
paul's
skills
of
taking
things
apart
and
putting
them
together.
B
Perhaps
it's
a
project
we'll
take
on,
but
I
have
to
really
decide.
Do
I
want
to
replace
spectrum
or
just
have
a
50
insurance
policy,
and
I'm
I'm
also
thinking
being
florida
and
hurricanes
and
all
the
rest
of
that
power
outages
having
another
source
of
internet
during
the
time
that
power
goes
out
and
cable
goes
out,
might
be
nice
as
long
as
the
cell
towers
are
still
up
and
all
those
cell
towers
have
battery
back.
You
know
I
have
backup
generators.
D
A
Interesting,
there's
all
kinds
of
new
things
coming
around
that
with
the
with
with
5g.
It's
going
to
be
interesting.
B
As
I
was
as
I
was
driving
around
and
trying
to
find
my
hot
spot
with
my
phone
and
the
wi-fi,
I
actually
found
another
t-mobile
hotspot
that
was
up.
I
just
didn't,
have
the
code
to
sign
into
it,
so
somebody
else
has
already
gotten
it
in
the
local
area.
A
The
airports
and
the
the
people
that
run
the
towers
are
complaining
of
the
new
5g.
Something
is
going
to
effect
on
january
5th
and
they're,
saying
it's
going
to
interfere
with
their
towers
and
their
equipment
with
some
of
the
new
5g
signals
that
are
going
to
be
available
starting
january
5th.
A
So
so
that
brings
another
whole
thing
into
this.
Whole
game
is:
what
are
those
signals
going
to
be
for
us
away
from
airports
and
not
having
anything
to
do
with
the
the
airlines
and
so
on
now?
A
Is
that
going
to
bring
us
a
better
signal,
a
new
signal,
a
different
signal:
do
we
have
to
have
different
equipment
for
it
and
then,
of
course,
the
new
tvs
with
their
new
signals,
the
was
it
atsc
or
something
like
that
when
the
tv
stations
start
using
it
and
it's
already
being
tested
in
certain
parts
of
the
country.
B
If
you
think
about
it,
military
aircraft,
especially
those
that
have
fly
by
wire,
have
hardened
electromagnetic
countermeasures
in.
D
B
Because
of
the
you
know,
enemy
offensive
with
with
all
kinds
of
electronic
counter
measures,
but
you
don't
want
a
5g
phone
in
somebody's
hand
online
with
their
cellular
signal
up
that
could
send
out
a
signal
that
could
affect
the
controls
that
are
100
fly
by
wire.
There's
no
cables
going
to
the
controls
anymore.
It's
all
electronics,
all
computer
run
so
naturally
at
airports.
You
know
you've
got
guys
coming
in
on
automated
landing
systems.
You
got
all
the
rest
of
these
things
and
if
you've
got
5g,
the
wavelengths
are
so
short.
E
So
some
time
back
a
year
ago,
or
so
we
were
talking
about
short
wavelengths
with
5g
right
well
and
mike,
and
I
talked
about
it
in
the
past,
but
I
didn't
stop
to
do
the
math
well,
I
have
since
then,
and
I
never
every
time
I
talk
to
him.
I
can
I
forget
to
bring
it
up,
but
a
five
gig
signal
is
six
centimeters
or
two
and
a
half
inches,
so
it's
bigger
than
you
probably
thought
it
was
okay.
So
it's
not
teensy
weensy,
I
mean
it's,
you
know
and
and.
B
But
is
that
the
mid-band
5g
or
is
it
the
millimeter
5g
there's
actually
because
5g
is
a
protocol
and
then
we're
not
talking
about
5
gigahertz
in
terms
of
transmission
speeds?
From
from
your
router
we're
talking
about
the
cellular
signal,
that's
being
put
out,
that's
that's
5g
and
t-mobile
bought
the
license.
They
were
the
winner
of
the
auction.
B
E
E
E
And
there's
something
else:
you
said
that
I
was
gonna
respond
to
and
now
my
you're
gonna
have
to
now.
I
forgot.
B
B
D
E
B
E
B
T
is
running
the
millimeter
wavelength
signal
and
and
has
a
hard
time
receiving
indoors
inside
cars,
even
behind
a
pane
of
glass.
D
B
E
You
were
talking
about
signals
interfering
with
the
accurate
controls
yeah.
Well,
when
I
used
to
go
to
my
one
of
my
organizational
meetings
up
in
deland,
I
go
up
there
once
a
month
and
occasionally
I'll
take
my
handheld
two
meter,
radio
with
me,
and
I
found
that
you
know
I
get
on
46
and
I
go
like
up
towards
sanford.
E
E
Well,
there's
some
frequency
that,
obviously
I
can't
even
make
a
bad
guess-
and
I
know
that
car
you
know
and
kind
of,
but
I
didn't
think
it
was
anything
in
there
I
mean
everything
on
the
car
runs
on
a
on
a
bus
everything's
connected
by
a
bus.
E
B
I
used
to
I
used
to
be
at
the
navy
plant
rep
office
at
grumman.
I
also
was
at
the
naval
air
test
center
and
they
had
these
anechoic
chambers
that
they
would
put
their
aircraft
in
or
they
put
their
avionics
in,
and
then
they
would
blast
it
with
different
frequencies
and
test
its
resistance.
You
know
to
to
signals
and
and
how
hardened
the
units
were,
and
it's
it's.
C
B
Concern
I
mean
you,
you
think,
about
what
we
are
actually
surrounded
with
today
in
terms
of
of
energy.
Pretty
amazing
he
used
to
talk
about.
You
know
having
a
cell
phone
up
here
called
causing
brain
cancer
at
least
now
most
people
have
the
cell
phone
in
her
purse
or
on
a
on
their
hip
or
somewhere
else,
and
they've
got
ear
buds
except
the
earbuds
have
bluetooth
so
now,
you're
funneling
bluetooth
to
the
center
of
your
head.
B
B
B
C
A
D
A
A
B
You
said
yeah
I'll
get
a
murder
yeah.
B
My
wife
has
one
that
she
she
had
a
charger
for
she's
a
realtor
and
she
has
a
charger
for
her
handheld
device
that
lets
her
get
to
the
the
the
locks
on
the
on
the
doors
when
they
put
these
locks
on
and
the
only
way
to
do
that
was
with
something
that
had
its
own
power
cord.
It
wasn't
available
for
a
a
little
plug
into
cigarette
lighter
or
five
volt
or
whatever,
and
so
she
got
a
little
inverter
and
plugged
it
into
her
car,
which
had
a
12
volt
output.
B
E
What
is
the
the
5g
device
run
on.
B
E
B
Could
if
I
had
the
right
output,
cable
but
I'll,
just
I'll
just
go
ahead
and
use
use
her,
inverter
and
and
plug
it
in
put
ac
into
it.
B
I'll
take
12
volts
step
it
up
to
110
plug
in
the
the
power
supply
for
the
t-mobile
into
that
plug
it
into
the
t-mobile
light
it
off,
because
it
seems
like
there
wasn't
enough
amperage
to
to
run
the
transceiver.
I
there
was
enough.
There
was
enough
to
get
a
signal
indication,
but
there
wasn't
enough
to
get
the
wi-fi.
E
Broadcasting,
how
many
so
your?
Let
me
see
your
your
thing
runs
on
50
watts,
so
your
inverter
better,
be
100
or
better.
B
B
B
But
if
you
are,
you
know,
in
an
area
where
rv
park
is
near
a
t-mobile
5g
tower,
you
know,
then
then
you've
got
your
internet
and
and
at
fairly
good
speed.
So
you
put.
B
As
we
discussed,
yeah
yeah
paul's
idea
was,
let's
see,
if
being
close
to
an
antenna
and
getting
four
or
five
bars
of
signal.
Strength
results
in
getting
from
100
megabits
of
wi-fi
through
put
to
200
megabits
of
wi-fi
throughput,
see
if
it
actually
steps
it
up
and
is
worth
the
expense
of
putting
an
external
antenna
on
this
unit.
A
To
change
the
subject,
looking
at
the
chat
box
and
candace
says
she's
in
bushnell
and
just
jumped
up
a
little
bit,
somebody
just
typed
something
in
and
she's
in
auburn
mass
in
summers,
she
created
an
animated,
robot
kyle
using
the
unity
game
engine
thanks
to
orlando
county
library,
melrose
center
unity,
training
over
zoom.
A
D
That's
really
kind
of
all
I
have
I,
you
know
it
was
pretty
cool
that
the
orlando
county
library
offered
the
unity
courses,
and
but
it
does
seem
like
a
lot
of
what
the
technology
that
you're
doing
is
kind
of
hardware
based
too
so
I
I
don't
think
it
really
fits,
and
it's
very
you
know
very
beginner,
but
that's
like
all
I
have
I.
I
did
buy
a
blue
eddie
with
solar,
but
I
haven't
finished
setting
it
up
yet,
but
you
know
that's
something
too.
D
D
Oh
it
just
like
walks
around
and
I
still
don't
have
like
a
game
set
up
for
it
yet
bless.
You
thank
you,
but
I
don't
know
unity's
a
game
engine,
it's
pretty
cool.
I
I
never
really
was
one
to
really
play
a
lot
of
games,
I
mean
other
than
sudoku,
but
I
was
having
some
fun
with
it.
It's
kind
of
neat
that
the
orlando
public
library
offers
it.
You
know
training
like
that.
D
A
Yeah
yeah,
I
hadn't
seen
your
name
before
and
now
I
see
it
pop
up
again
and
I
was
wondering
where
you
were
from
and
I
see
the
bushnell.
How
did
you
hear
about
cfcs
in
our
meetings.
D
Meetup
group
good
all
right,
because
I
I
I
do
a
lot
with
meetup
group,
especially
like
massachusetts.
I
did
a
lot
with
meetups
since
probably
2010
when
I
had
my
first
meetup
group,
myself
and
and
then
moving
to
bushnell
florida
is
new.
I
did
it
in
august.
I
bought
the
place
and
I
drove
back
and
forth
to
massachusetts
and
and
now
I'm
here
for
the
winter
and
then
I'll
go
back
to
massachusetts.
D
That's
my
main
residence
in
the
spring
and
summer
or
at
least
the
summer.
But
it's
pretty
nice
here
in
florida.
I'm
really
loving
the
weather.
A
Oh
yeah
yeah
we're
glad
you
joined
us.
I
hope
you're
getting
something
and
you're
enjoying
being
on
here
and
and
you
enjoyed
the
windows
sig
as
well
and
you're
welcome.
We
do.
D
Yeah
and
then
there's
like
the
orlando
unity
group,
too
they're
the
ones
that
kind
of
like
tailored
me
or
directed
me
to
the
orlando
county
library,
unity
courses,
there's
just
so
much
in
florida
too.
You
know
I
was
thinking
when
I
left
massachusetts,
that
I'd
just
be
zooming
with
massachusetts
technical
groups,
but
there
are,
there
are
so
many
technical
groups
in
florida.
Also,
I
find
it
very
refreshing.
A
And
we've
got
some
some
some
visitors,
other
visitors
here,
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
wayne's
out
of
chicago
clinton,
idaho,
murray's
out
of
victoria
british
columbia
and
most
of
the
and
I'm
in
bradenton.
Most
of
the
rest
are
somewhere
in
the
orlando
vicinity.
A
The
group
is
based
in
orlando,
but
I
and
I've
been
a
part
of
the
group
since
1987,
but
I
moved
to
bradenton
nine
years
or
seven
years
ago.
C
Well,
I
talked
to
you
mike
about
the
project
that
I've
taken
on
for
stan
levin,
trying
to
update
his
computer
for
the
rest
of
you.
He's
got
a
it's
an
i3,
six
megabits
of
ram
and
he's
just
very
frustrated.
All
he
does
is
work
on
excel
spreadsheets
and
word
files,
nothing
elaborate,
no
macros
or
anything
in
them
and
he
just
gets
terrible
speeds.
C
I
went
over
there
the
other
day
and
I
took
a
mouse
with
me
because
he
has
one
of
these
gumball
things
that
I
just
can't
use,
and
I
put
the
mouse
into
the
porch
that
the
thumb
wall
had
been
in
and
we
couldn't
make
it
work.
C
It's
just
a
disaster
waiting
to
happen,
but
we're
going
to
do
a
linux
conversion
and
mike
I
did
manage
to
download
the
linux
of
the
cinnamon
that
you
recommended,
and
I
have
it
on
here.
I
haven't
tested
this
dvd
yet,
but
I
burned
it.
Everything
seems
to
be
okay.
I
can
see
the
files
on
there
so.
B
Well,
the
nice
thing
about
those
live
distributions.
Is
you
can
just
boot
that
cd
and
then
play
with
it?
You
know
you
see
how
how
the
system
reacts.
You'll,
see
whether
the
you
know
the
mouse
and
and
or
the
trackball
work.
Okay,
and,
as
I
mentioned
to
you,
you
can
plug
one
of
his
usb
sticks
or
hard
drives
in
as
long
as
it's
ntfs
formatted
and
you
know,
try
one
of
the
libreoffice
try
libreoffice
calc
and
try
opening
up
one
of
his
excel
spreadsheets
and
see
if
it
opens
up
and
displays
okay.
B
A
D
I
was
just
going
to
comment.
I
enjoyed
tonight's
program
being
a
radio
engineer,
I
found
the
tower
and
ground
client
installation
interstate
and
I
also
appreciate
all
the
sharing
of
the
information
on
the
speech
you're
getting
with
your
internet
and
the
5g
confrontation.
So
it's
been
a
great
meeting.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thanks.
E
I
do
have
a
little
new
information
on
on
the
5g
stuff.
You
know,
I
thought
it
was
a
5
gig
signal.
It's
not
it's
a
28
gig
or
a
30
8
gig
signal
anyway.
It's
a
a
redo.
My
answer:
it's
about
a
half
an
inch,
my
0.4
inches
at
at
28
gig,
which
is
what
a
5g
signal
is,
and
then
the
higher
wavelength
is
even
smaller.
B
B
Why
that's
why
this
device-
that's
sitting
up
here
on
my
hutch,
couldn't
receive
an
att
5g
signal
through
my
wall.
I'd
have
to
have
an
external
antenna,
so
I
know
it's
the
mid
band
signal,
that's
penetrating
the
wall
and
it's
it's
being
picked
up,
and
it
just
amazes
me
that
I
even
have
two
bars
worth
of
signal.
If
this
is
all
the
way
up
two
miles
from
here
two
and
a
half
miles
from
here
in
oviedo,
so.
B
Yeah
those
three
three
locations,
let's
see
which
one
it
is
here,
it's
this
it's
okay!
Let
me
just
hear.
E
B
So
my
house
is
here
on
this
lower
segment
right
on
erskine
drive
and
then
this
was
crow.
This
was
a
line
of
sight
from
the
end
of
my
street.
I
can
see
this
tower,
so
I'm
gonna
say
a
tenth
of
a
mile
and
then
maybe
a
quarter
of
a
mile
from
my
house
to
that
second
tower,
which
did
not
appear
the
signal
strength
didn't
go
up
when
I
drove
there
and
then
I
drove
all
the
way
up
to
the
next
tower,
which
was
hit
right
at
the
oviedo
city
hall.
B
So
this
distance
down
to
the
house
is
probably
two
miles.
If
I
had
to
walk
it,
I'm
sure
you
know
going
out
and
over,
but
well
as
the
crow
flies
it's
probably
two
miles.
I
guess
I
could
take
a
look
at
the
scale
of
the
google
map
and
you
know
and
figure
out
what
it
is
exactly,
but
I'm
going
to
say
two
to
two
to
three
miles,
probably
so,
I'm
getting
two
to
three
bars.
If
it's
coming
from
here,
I'm
getting
two
to
three
bars
right
here
and
I'm
getting
four
bars.
C
I
guess-
and
I
do
have
some
comments-
that
if
the
rate
of
the
kovid
slows
down,
we
are
talking
about
possibly
doing
a
hybrid
meeting
in
june
january
february
january.
C
The
american
legion
was
taken,
so
I've
reserved
it
for
for
february,
and
we
have
the
swami
agreeing
to
do
something
with
some
3d
printing
he's
been
experimenting
with,
and
I
don't
think
he'll
bring
the
printer
in
he'll
bring
in
some
examples
of
it
have
a
slideshow
showing
some
of
his
equipment,
and
if
we
can
do
that,
I
have
not
yet
been
able
to
get
the
facebook
portal
ordered
yet.
C
But
I'm
going
to
experiment
with
that
and
see
if
we
can
use
that
for
the
main
main
thrust
of
doing
the
the
hybrid
meeting,
we'll
do
the
window
sig
as
normal
by
zoom,
with
huey
in
bradenton
and
then
kind
of
just
turn
it
over
to
the
swami
being
live
at
the
at
the
american
legion.
We'll
see
how
that
works,
which.
A
B
C
D
C
And
they've
been
completely
remodeling
it
now.
As
a
matter
of
fact-
and
it
looks
quite
nice
we'll
see
we'll
keep
you
all
posted
and
okay
well,
thanks
for
joining
us,
interesting
meeting,
stay
safe
and
we'll
see
everyone
next
time.
Unless
anyone
has
more.
