how
did
the
operating
system
get
that
way
and
why
isn't
it
named
after
something
else
like
doors
or
ceilings
and
they'll?
Explain

microsoft
interface
manager
in
1981,
microsoft
begin
began,
developing

rudiments
of
what
would
later
become
windows
originally
called
interface
manager.
It
would
add
a
graphical
overlay
to
ms-dos
allowing
a
visual
program
control

mouse

of
typing
keyboard
commands.

boxes,
placed
in
different
areas
on
the
screen

and
pointed
out
that
they
had
what
they
had
in
common.

noticed
the
term
window
used
a

in

terms
like
windowing
systems,

manager,

he
latched
onto
windows
as
a
generic
term.

microsoft

the
entire
product

edit

was

to
allow
governments
to
show
documents
and
share
documents
without
anyone

able
to
go
in
and
make
changes
to
it
and
the
fact
that,
no
matter
what
program
or
what
operating
system
that
you
were
using,
if
you
saved
it,
if
you
saved
the
document
as
a
pdf,
anyone
with
a
reader
could
view
that
document,
but
couldn't
edit
it
couldn't
change
it.
That
was
the
original
idea
of
pdfs.

it's
become
just
a
convenience
program
and
almost
anything
will
save
it,
including
the
operating
system
and
of
individual
programs.
You
can
save
as
a
pdf
as
far
as
editing
pdfs.
There
are
some
programs
and
I'm

playing

one
right
now
from
a
program
from

company
that
I
saw
at
the
fetc,
and
it
does
a
lot
of
the
same
things
as
the

god
mode
refers
to
a
system
shortcut
that
shows
you
a
vast
list
of
control
panel
items
and
while
it's
a
huge
list
of
over
200
system
options,
it
can
be
daunting
to
look
through
having
it
around
is
a
good
idea
in
case
you
need
it
as
such.
There
are
three
ways
to
customize
it
or
to
make
it
even
better,
but
how
do
you
get
it?

if
you
haven't
turned
it
on
yet
you
can
enable
god
mode
by
creating
a
folder
on
your
desktop,
and
then
you
rename
it
so
I'm
going
to
take
this
from
the

shortcuts

frequently

can
just
drag
one

them

side
and
it
becomes
a
shortcut
for
that
particular
item
and
you
can
also
customize
it.
Each
the
folder
can
be
rearranged
and
organized
like
any
other
folder
in
windows.
You
can
change
the
view
settings
and
the
order
of
the
icons
or
even
hide
entire
categories.

creates
a
shortcut
