Description
Council Meeting 1/12/23
A
A
B
There's
something
going
on
in
the
community
and
the
good
news
is
there
is
we're
going
to
be
honoring
a
number
of
council
members
who
are
who
are
stepping
down
as
well
as
celebrating
those
who
will
be
joining
us
on
our
new
Council,
so
welcome
to
each
and
every
one
of
you
a
little
bit
later,
I'll
be
just
calling
out,
particularly
some
some
special
elected
officials
and
others
who
are
here
joining
us
clerk.
Will
you
please
take
the
role.

B
So,
if
I
call
your
name,
would
you
if
you're
here?
Will
you
please
stand
and
let's
defer
Applause
until
we've
called
everyone's
name,
so
Victoria
okulu,
representing
Senator,
Kirsten
Cinema
and
hang
on
those
applauses
come
on
now:
Sandy
Moshi,
representing
Congressman
Greg
Stanton's
office,
state
representative
for
District
13,
Jennifer,
Pollock,
Maricopa,
County,
Supervisor,
Jack
sellers,
all
right,
Gilbert,
mayor
Bridget,
Peterson,
Gilbert,
council
member
Young,
koprowski
Queen
Creek
vice
mayor
Jeff,
Brown
farmer,
Chandler,
mayor
Boyd,
Dunn
farmer,
Chandler,
mayor
Jay,
tiptrany,
former
council
member
Nora,
Ellen.

H
B
B
Council
I'll
start.
This
I
would
like
to
say
to
both
of
my
council
members.
You
have
been
a
tremendous
asset
to
the
city
and
the
work
that
you've
done
has
been
excellent
and
we
are
a
better
City
because
of
your
service.
So
we
want
to
thank
you.
I,
want
to
thank
you
for
all
the
hours
that
we've
spent
together
these
last
eight
years
and
I
have
something
to
give
you.
B
It
here
is
a
is
a
glass
with
the
map
of
Chandler
etched
on
there.
So
just
to
remind
you
of
the
of
your
service,
and
also
in
case
you
get
lost,
it'll
be
a
good
guide,
so
you
can,
you
can
keep
it
in
your
car.
I
Thank
you
mayor.
You
know,
I
am
so
honored
to
have
served
with
these
two
gentlemen.
I
You
know
Renee
the
pragmatist
and
knowledgeable
and
a
real
scholar
of
some
of
the
things
that
we've
done
here
in
the
city
and
I.
Think
your
expertise
that
you
brought
from
a
water
perspective
has
been
invaluable
to
not
only
Council
but
to
the
community
at
large
I.
I
Remember
when
I
first
met
you
as
an
LG
meeting
years
ago,
and
you
were
somebody
that
I
admired
for
taking
the
leap
and
serving
the
way
you
do
and
the
Constitution
is
in
your
heart
and
I
can
see
that
every
day
that
I
serve
with
you
so
I'm
gonna
miss
you
a
lot
I'm
going
to
miss
our
discussions.
You
know
about
the
details
of
things
and
and
for
your
coaching
I
appreciate
that
and
I'll
try
to
carry
on
and
try
to
be
as
thoughtful
as
I
can
like.
I
You
are,
and
I'm
gonna
miss
you
and
Terry.
My
my
confidants
and
team
member
I'm
just
grateful
that
I
was
able
to
serve
with
you.
Your
Love
of
the
Constitution
is
the
same
as
as
Renee's,
and
it
was
something
that
that
meant
a
lot
to
me
and
we'd
have
hour-long
talks
about
everything
you
can
think
of
as
it
relates
to
service
to
the
city,
and
you
were
that
that
person
that
really
helped
coach
me
along
in
the
first
couple
years
that
I
was
here
and
I.
I
Remember
you
telling
me
he
was
like
be
careful
you're
going
to
want
to
go
to
everything
you're
going
to
want
to
do
everything
he
said,
go
out
and
meet
everybody
that
you
can
but
remember
to
take
a
breath
and
remember
your
family
at
home,
so
your
families
get
you
back
and
I
think
that's
what's
going
to
be
the
remarkability,
so
thank
you
for
your
service,
both
of
you
and
I've
got
gifts
that
are
over
at
at
your
station
right
now.
I
So
one
is
a
great
bottle
of
wine,
because
I
know
you
love
your
wine
and
and
then
I've
got
a
hammer
for
you
and
a
big
old
Home
Depot
gift
card
and
some
work
gloves
because
Cheryl
said
you've
got
some
honeydews
to
do
in
Pine.
So
all
right
so
I'm
gonna
pass
to
council.
E
I'm
gonna
go
with
my
fellow
veteran
here
Renee.
Thank
you
for
your
service
to
the
nation.
Thank
you
for
the
service.
In
our
city,
it
takes
Unique
Individuals
to
be
able
to
bridge
that
Gap.
You
had
a
bigger
picture
of
the
world,
and
now
you
have
a
bigger
picture
of
Chandler
I,
think
Chandler's
bigger
than
a
world,
so
we're
okay.
With
that
one
I'll
miss
your
analytical
thought
process
being
an
engineer.
E
You
know
I
used
to
remember
the
first
time,
I
met
yesterday,
I'm,
not
an
engineer,
but
I
dealt
with
them
for
35
years
of
my
career,
and
it
was
one
of
the
hardest
thing.
I
had
to
learn
to
deal
with
engineers,
but
I
survived
it
and
I'm
glad
I
had
a
chance
to
work
with
you,
because
your
analytical
thought
process
was
instrumental,
sometimes
in
particularly
in
our
our
executive
sessions.
E
You
kiss
came
through
and
said
hey
what
about
this?
What
about
that
we'll
miss
you
on
that
and
again
stay
involved
and
stay
serving
our
nation
and
our
city?
Okay,
Mr
Rowe!
E
E
Second,
move
on,
you
know:
I
love
that
thought
process
in
you
and
even
of
our
meetings
the
same
way.
What
are
we
talking
about
this,
for?
Why
are
we
doing
this?
You
always
where's
our
gut
check
on
things
we'll
miss
that
as
well.
I
have
a
couple
gifts
for
you.
I
have
a
I
could
give
it
to
you
in
the
dice
here.
I
have
a
book
of
Chandler.
It's
about.
It's
pictures,
it's
written
by
just
not
not
to
diminish
the
Navy
I'm.
Okay
with
that
or
police
officers.
E
E
Better
not
say
the
other
thing,
I
was
going
to
say
because
Martin's
still
here,
I
think
anyway,
it's
a
really
good
picture
book
and
actually
Joe
Jody,
Jody
craigo.
Actually.
E
K
The
changing
of
the
Gods
is
always
difficult
and
it's
never
easy,
but
there
is
a
spirit
of
easiness
right
now
because
you
have
done
well,
so
we
can
stand
here
and
say
Well
done
and
for
me
personally,
I
would
like
to
thank
each
one
of
you
for
having
been
that
Father
Figure
and
that
brotherly
figure.
For
me,
I
remember.
A
K
K
For
me,
it
will
always
be
that-
and
you
had
spoken
with
me
concerning
that
and
I
really
appreciate
the
fact
that
you
saw
that
love
in
me,
and
you
said
that
love
is
going
to
carry
you
through
and
so
every
moment
of
the
day,
I'm
remembering
that
I
can
only
do
it
because
of
the
love,
and
so
thank
you
for
having.
We
can
do
that
and
me
constantly
I
want
to
thank
your
wife.
K
Miss
Jessica
for
always
making
sure
that
your
suit's
on
point
and
always
making
sure
that
I
remember
her
saying
that
you
know
things
common
temps
go,
but
anybody
who
touches
you
they're
gonna,
have
to
reckon
with
her
and
so
I
live
in
that
line,
so
that
I
always
make
sure
that
I
was
on
her
good
side.
So,
thank
you
so
much
for
your
service,
I,
really
appreciate
you,
council,
member
role.
I
will
always
be
calling
you
council,
member
I
know
you
kept
saying:
no,
it's
no
okay!
K
You
have
earned
those
badges,
you
have
earned
those
stripes
and
so
I
thank
God
for
you
and
I.
Don't
think
he's
done
with
you
yet,
and
so
we
are
waiting
and
specifically
me
I'm,
waiting
to
see
where
he's
gonna
take
you
next
and
the
best
is
always
yet.
K
May
you
continually
be
fruitful
in
the
things
that
you
do.
I
also
want
to
thank
your
wife
for
making
sure
your
ties
are
always
on
point.
So
every
time
I
ask
it's
like
she
picked
it.
So
thank
you
so
much
for
your
service.
What
I
have
for
you
guys
today?
It's
all
the
way
from
across
the
world.
As
you
know,
my
daughter
is
in
school
in
Barbados
in
medical
school
there.
K
So
I
was
thinking
what
should
I
give
those
two
guys
that
I
have
spent
so
much
time
working
with,
but
I've
come
to
know
a
little
bit
about
you.
Both
you
have
for
you.
You
have
some
cigars
from
Santo
Domingo
and
from
you.
You
have
a
series
1757
from
Barbados
of
alcohol,
so
enjoy
enjoy
them
with
your
families,
and
you
know
have
a
good
time
enjoy
that
I
will
continually.
K
J
J
Thank
you
all
right.
Well,
it's
my
turn
and
I
had
to
come.
So
the
first
thing,
as
you
guys
can
see,
the
bags
represents
all
the
smiles
and
laughs
and
cries
that
we've
had
together
on
this
Council
I
think
a
lot
of
times.
People
see
us
and
we're
maybe
not
on
the
same
page.
But
yet
when
we
leave
the
die,
is
we
don't
carry
on
our?
J
We
don't
carry
it
on
our
sleeve
and
so
sometimes
people
when
they
see
us
disagreeing.
Sometimes
they
see
that's
a
sad
moment,
but
really
it's
the
best
moment,
because
now
we're
able
to
articulate
how
we
feel
and
how
we
differ.
The
one
thing
I
appreciate
about
both
council
members
and
vice
Mayors.
They
both
in
my
vice
mayor.
They
both
been
my
council
member,
my
colleague
as
a
council
member,
is
that
they've
always
had
a
way
to
meet
in
the
middle.
G
J
Open-Minded
person
and
I'm
gonna
start
with
you
Renee
my
brother,
who
sits
over
here
on
the
side
with
me.
We
bust
jokes,
we
make
laughs.
We
do
all
that
together,
but
I
really
appreciate
your
intellect
and
your
high
understanding
of
what
it
means
to
run
a
well-ran
city,
and
you
do
that
very
well.
Sometimes,
if
I'm
not
on
point
you'll,
say:
hey
OD,
you
know
hey.
Let
me
help
you
get
on
point
about
that.
J
I
appreciate
that,
because
I'm
only
two
years
in
I've
never
been
elected
in
anything
in
my
life
except
student
council
when
I
was
in
high
school
and
but
I
appreciate
that
mentorship
I
appreciate
that
that
those
kind
words
and
always
willing
to
pick
up
the
phone
for
me
and
just
be
a
mentor
and
I'm
gonna,
miss
that
and
I'm
gonna
miss
just
having
someone.
I
can
just
do
solid,
dad
jokes
with
just
dry
humor
or
whatever.
J
J
Afterwards,
I
was
late.
I
got
you
a
bottle
of
wine,
because
I
want
you
and
your
wife
to
enjoy
yourself
together,
because
I
know
we've
taken
so
much
of
your
time,
and
we
forget
about
the
spouses
that
sit
at
home
waiting
for
us
and
so
I
want
you
to
enjoy
that
with
your
wife.
Valentine's
Day
is
coming
up
as
well,
so
the
other
thing
I
got.
You
was
I
inside
the
bag.
J
I
got
you
a
a
glass
that
actually
is
kind
of
interesting,
because
the
glass
allows
you
to
hold
to
get
a
shot
in.
It
holds
your
cigar
too.
You
already
got
that.
Okay,
all
right.
J
J
I
love
Terry
because
of
the
fact
that
he
gives
these
Spirit
fingers.
Have
you
guys
ever
seen.
Terry
do
the
spirit
fingers
that
is
I'm
done
with
the
issue.
Okay,
when
he
does
that
I'm
done
with
the
issue
that
means
move
on.
That
means
that
if
you
don't
move
on
to
the
next
thing,
I'm
gonna
look
at
you
in
a
way
that
you
don't
want
these
five
fingers
coming
together
and
I'll
just
point,
but
he
got
these
Spirit
fingers
and
I
appreciate
that,
because
that
helps
us
move
the
conversation
forward.
J
Sometimes
we
can
get
stuck
on
an
issue
because
we're
all
very
passionate
about
our
issues,
but
you've
always
been
able
to
be
that
guy.
That
say,
you
know
what
let's
move
this
conversation
on?
Let's
move
it
right
along
and
I
appreciate
that
about
you,
and
also
you
have
also
been
a
great
mentor
in
my
first
two
years
of
just
kind
of
understanding
the
process,
because
I
thought
when
I
came
here,
oh
I'm
ready
to
go.
J
J
You
have
to
learn
how
to
disagree
in
an
honorable
way
and
then
come
back
and
readdress
the
issue,
because
sometimes
when
things
do
get
heated
as
you
see
in
the
bag,
we
have
to
find
a
way
to
still
put
the
city
of
Chandler
residence
first
and
you've
done
that
in
your
service,
and
we
appreciate
you
I
appreciate
you
I
love
you
for
that,
and
I
will
say.
This
too,
is
that
I
always
remember
our
conversations
and
you've
always
been
the
guy
to
carry
the
wisdom.
Oh
D,
let
that
go!
J
That's
not
a
big
thing
move
on
you
know
and
it's
those
little
adjustments
that
new
council
members
need,
because
we
don't
know
and
you've
been
that
type
of
person.
So
for
eight
years,
I
appreciate
you
I
didn't
do
nothing
different
with
the
gifts
I'm
a
Dude
I,
kept
it
very
basic.
You
got
the
same
gift
after
that,
so
there's
no
gift
swapping
around
here.
Okay,
so,
but
together,
this
is
the
Monument
of
knowledge.
J
B
So
next
city
manager.
L
All
right,
let
me
come
around
here:
I've
got
some
bigger
items
for
you.
L
L
Thank
you
so
much
on
behalf
of
Staff
for
your
outstanding
eight
years
of
service
to
the
Chandler
Community.
We
have
been
so
fortunate
to
have
your
wisdom,
your
knowledge,
your
patience
and
your
support
as
staff
I'll
tell
a
very
brief
story
about
each
one
of
you
very,
very
quick,
and
it
was
about
the
first
time
that
I
felt,
like
I,
actually
got
to
know
each
one
of
you.
I
remember
the
moment.
L
L
Oh,
this
is
going
to
be
easy
he's
the
only
other
guy
here
that
went
to
U
of
A
right
he's
the
old
he's,
the
other
Wildcat,
so
I'm
thinking
great
scope
and
throw
some
bear
Downs
out
there,
and
this
will
be
easy,
but
I
didn't
know
Renee
very
well,
and
that
was
not
the
right
approach.
So
after
a
council
meeting
one
night,
we
were
talking
in
the
hallway
and
I
started
talking
about
U
of
A
Sports
and
he's
looking
at
me,
like
I,
have
three
heads
and
he's
like
he.
L
L
This
up
and
then
I
figured
out.
We
both
liked
comic
books
as
kids
right.
So
that
was
the
end.
That
was
the
end.
Finally,
I
figured
out
that
we
had
that
in
common
and
I
actually
remember
one
of
the
first
times,
I
really
got
to
know
you
two
as
well
Terry.
L
L
And
Terry
as
well,
and
tried
to
highlight
some
of
the
many
accomplishments
and
issues
that
you
were
passionate
about
during
your
time
in
office
and
again
on
behalf
of
Team
Chandler.
Thank
you.
So
much
we've
been
blessed
to
have
you.
B
Deborah
shinky
from
the
Chandler
Republican
women
also
had
just
a
plaque
that
she
wanted
to.
Thank
both
of
you,
two
for
your
service.
N
Mayor
and
Council
I-
it's
the
honor
to
be
here
tonight
to
represent
these
two
wonderful
gentlemen
that
I
have
got
the
privilege
to
get
acquainted
with,
with
the
last
three
and
a
half
years.
I
believe
and
I
just
want
to.
Thank
you
both
for
your
wisdom
in
your
counseling.
So
on
the
behalf
of
the
Chandler
Gilbert
Republican
women,
we
want
to
recognize
and
thank
you
for
your
service
and
dedication
to
the
residents
of
Chandler.
Vice
mayor,
Terry,
Rowe.
N
B
All
right
and
next
it's
vice
mayor,
I
I,
do
say
with
all
this
wine,
whiskey
and
cigars.
You
guys
are
redefining
vice
mayor
for
us.
D
Thank
you
mayor,
so
I
guess
I
get
to
talk
for
a
couple
of
minutes.
I
like
these
meetings
to
go
pretty
quickly,
as
you
may
have
kind
of
gotten
that
indication
and
I'm,
largely
often
in
consideration
of
Staff,
because
staff
has
to
stay
until
it's
all
over
and
so
so
many
times
I
said.
I
really
want
to
appreciate
our
employees
Chandler,
proud
and
the
great
work
that
they
do.
They
work
seven
days
a
week.
They
work
all
night
long
and
they
keep
the
lights
on.
D
H
D
I
I
have
a
short
video
that
I'm
going
to
have
show,
but
I
there's
a
few
people.
That
I
must
thank,
of
course,
all
the
people
that
are
here
tonight.
Thank
you
for,
for
taking
the
time
to
come
down
here.
Be
part
of
this.
Thank
my
wife
Cheryl.
She
she
stand
up
stand
up.
D
I,
don't
know
what
she
was
thinking
in
2010
when
I
first
started
on
this
journey
and
and
I
do
know
what
she
was
thinking
when
I
announced
that
I
was
running
for
office
this
past
year
and
and
I
know
she's
anyway,
she's
always
been
supportive.
Let's
put
it
that
way,
and
and
after
40
some
years
we
have
a
great
life
together
and
we're
gonna
we're
gonna
take
trips,
we're
going
to
do
plumbing
we're
going
to
do
electrical
and.
B
D
We're
going
to
take
care
of
the
grandkids
when
we
get
the
chance
and
so
I
have
had
the
perfect
life,
and
so
it's
1.0
Police
Department,
2.0
politics,
3.0
that
remains
to
be
seen,
but
to
this
Council
and
to
staff.
Thank
you
all
very
much
you
guys.
Yes,
occasionally
we
disagree
boy.
It
would
be
crazy
if
we
didn't,
and
so
it's
good
that
we've
had
good
discussions
and
that
we
can
be
honest
and
open
about
it.
D
Whatever
the
issue
is,
and-
and
so
so
thank
you
and
thank
you
for
and
it
is
the
people's
money
and
I'm
getting
my
last
pitch
in
for
a
few
things
here.
D
There's
you
know,
there's
a
few
projects
I
still
want
belt
or
done
or
whatever,
but
somehow
I
ended
up
being
the
guy
to
like
parking
parking
garages
and
in
developments.
I
wanted
sidewalks
I
wanted
wide
streets
and
those
are
those
are
strange
things
to
be
wanting.
D
But
but
for
me
it
was
about
good
water,
you
know,
and
good
traffic
lights
and
and
good
Public,
Safety
and
and
the
things
that
are
at
the
core
of
a
city
that
make
it
great
so
I've
had
the
best
time
and
I'm
going
to
show
just
a
short
video
and
then
thank
you
all
hi.
D
My
name
is
Terry
Rowe
I'm,
the
vice
mayor
of
Chandler
I'm,
wrapping
up
eight
years
on
the
city
council
and
it's
it's
gone
by
super
fast,
and
it's
a
great
honor
for
me
and
certainly
has
been,
and
so
I
just
have
a
few
thoughts
that
I
just
want
to
share
quickly
with
you,
as
as
I
look
back
on
my
time
here
with
Chandler
and
first
of
all,
I'd
say:
chandler
is
a
great
City
and
for
people
that
don't
think
so,
I'm
sorry.
D
It
is,
and
we've
got
a
great
big
family
here
that
works
together.
We
attend
ribbon
cuttings
and
potlucks
and
fundraisers,
or
a
an
event
where
we
have
a
tumbleweed
tree
lighting,
for
instance.
So
it
is
a
great
big
awesome,
family
and
again
I've
been
honored
to
be
part
of
that.
Looking
back
over
the
past
eight
years,
the
thing
that
I
enjoyed
the
most
was
watching
people
start
a
new
business
and
so
whether
it
was
a
ribbon
cutting
or
something
that
Economic
Development
folks
here
helped
put
together.
I
got
to
see
people
realizing
their
dreams.
D
They
were
investing
their
heart,
their
soul
and
their
families.
Most
of
the
time
and
along
with
friends,
and
to
start
a
business
to
make
an
opportunity
for
for
people
to
work
and
also
have
a
living,
raise
their
families
and
make
Chandler
part
of
their
lives.
I
will
tell
you
one
of
the
most
interesting
people
that
I
met
and
have
known
through.
This
whole
thing
is
a
friend
of
mine,
Jerry,
Brooks,
Jerry
Brooks
was
the
mayor
of
Chandler
in
the
in
in
the
1980s,
and
I
got
to
know
him
while
I
served.
D
My
first
term
in
Council
I
got
a
chance
to
interview
him
here
in
this
studio,
and
we
talked
we
spent
the
entire
interview
talking
about
Chandler
and
what
he
what
he
did
while
he
was
mayor
and
a
council
member
and
all
his
his
accomplishments.
That
kind
of
set
the
stage
for
future
accomplishments,
including
the
mall,
the
101,
freeway
and
and
a
number
of
other
things,
and
so
it
was
people
like
Jerry.
D
That
certainly
have
set
a
great
example
for
me
and
and
and
helped
me
try
to
make
the
best
decisions
for
champ.
So
let
me
talk
a
little
bit
about
Chandler
in
general.
Look
we've
got
Ocotillo
and
we've
got
the
price
Corridor
we've
got
the
downtown,
we've
got
the
Chandler
airport,
we've
got
the
best
mall
in
one
of
the
best
small
experiences
and
shields
is
coming
to
town
and
and
I
was
around
when
they
began
that
project
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
that
being
completed.
D
Employees
and
families
and
people
that
want
to
recreate
and
enjoy
our
parks
and
and
spend
time
fellowshipping
together
and
enjoy
City
activities.
So,
at
the
end
of
a
second
term
and
I'm,
a
person
that
supports
term
limits,
I've
had
a
ball.
It's
been
great,
it's
a
great
honor,
it's
not
honorary,
it
is
an
honor
and
it
is
a
position.
It
is
a
position
that
I
never
took
lightly
so
I
anyway.
D
I
want
to
say
goodbye
and
good
luck
to
the
new
Council
and
I
wish
mayor
Hartke
and
this
new
Council
the
very
best
and
Chandler
always
thank
you
very
much.
H
H
So
I
do
have
some
prepared
remarks,
but
first
off
I
do
want
to
thank
my
family
I
have
my
prepared
marks
because
I
know
we
get
very
emotional
about
this.
So
as
I
got
older,
I
guess,
I
got
more
emotional,
but
I
think
my
wife
for
all
the
sacrifices
and
my
children.
The
support
that
my
extended
family
and
my
mother-in-law
and
my
brother-in-law
and
sister-in-law
I've
got
my
aunts
like
I've
got
some
cousins
in
the
background.
H
It's
been
a
pleasure
serving
with
you
again,
not
anything
more
I
can
add,
and
then,
as
mentioned
before,
we
all
get
along
very
very
well.
We
have
our
disagreements,
but
again
it's
expected
I'm
I'm
happy
when
I
can
agree
with
my
wife
51
of
the
time.
So
as
long
as
we
can
be
anywhere
close
to
that
and
we're
doing
great.
So
again,
thank
you
for
your
service
and
it
was
a
pleasure
serving
with
you
staff
and
your
the
heartbeat
of
the
city
and
the
reason
that
it
runs
so
well.
H
H
H
H
H
H
H
B
All
right
well,
thank
you
all.
We
are
going
to
I'm
gonna
gavel,
us
out
we're
going
to
take
a
short
intermission
and
allow
our
council
members
to
vacate
the
stage,
and
then
we
will
start
our
our
second
meeting
with
the
swearing-in
of
our
new
council
members.
A
B
I
J
B
E
O
B
B
Man,
you
know
how
to
make
an
entrance
Nathan
lives
with
his
family
in
Maricopa,
I'm,
sorry
in
barana,
and
we're
very
proud
of
all
that
you
do.
B
My
next
child
is
Aaliyah
who
lives
with
her
family
in
Casa
Grande,
our
youngest
granddaughter
we're
so
glad
that
you're
able
to
be
here
next
is
Caitlin
My,
One,
True,
Chandler
Wright,
who
has
remained
in
Chandler.
Then
we
have
my
son
Zach
and
his
beautiful
bride
Sarah.
Although
they
live
in
Tempe,
they
both
work
in
Chandler.
B
I'm
tremendously
proud
of
each
and
every
one
of
you
and
you
make
everything
that
I
do
worthwhile.
So
thank
you
next
I
want
to
thank
our
community.
We've
got
several
friends
from
our
church
here.
Thank
you
for
being
with
me.
For
decades,
I've
shared
my
life
with
you
and
Pastor
Smith.
You
do
not
need
to
sing
when
you
give
the
inner
when
you
give
an
invocation
you're
welcome
to,
but
you
don't
have
to
to
those
here
and
Beyond
who
have
shared
wise
counsel
with
me
through
the
years,
particularly
former
mayors,
Dunn
and
tib
shraney.
B
Thank
you
to
the
Chandler
chamber
and
others
who
have
supported
my
re-election.
Thank
you
to
our
businesses,
Community
leaders,
dreamers
and
aspiring
Word
World
Changers.
We've
got
a
lot
to
accomplish
together
and
to
our
community.
I
am
truly
honored
that
you
have
entrusted
me
with
serving
and
leading
Chandler
for
another
four
years
in
the
vials
that
I
just
stated.
I
said
that
I
would
serve
with
the
best
of
my
ability.
B
B
B
E
O
E
Judge
I
almost
knew
that
by
heart,
after
the
sixth
time
I
was
trying
not
to
get
ahead
of
you.
Sorry
about
that
now
judge
gupin.
Thank
you
very
much
judge.
You
know.
Judges
are
magistrate,
in
other
words
she's
in
charge
of
all
of
our
courts.
So
if
you
have
a
problem,
go
see
her
first
of
all,
I
want
to
thank
my
family
for
coming
up
here.
My
son
Matt,
his
lovely
wife,
April.
E
E
As
the
mayor
said,
you
know
we
don't
take
this
lightly.
Might
thank
all
of
you
out
here
for
entrusting
me,
as
I
said
earlier
for
my
sixth
term
as
a
council
member,
only
one
other
person
in
this
room
has
served
longer
than
I
have
as
a
city
council
member,
slash
mayor,
Jay
great
to
have
you
here,
of
course,
my
good
friend
boy
Nunn,
as
well,
very
two
good
mayors
that
I
served
with
and
wisdom
and
advice
was
very
well
received
by
both
of
them.
E
So
thank
you
for
coming
tonight
for
the
former
council
members
that
are
here.
Thank
you
for
being
here
as
well.
We
all
learn
from
each
other
and
I
could
probably
spend
a
whole
night
just
remembering
what
we've
done
together.
So
the
other
thing
I
want
to
really
quickly
say:
I
learned
a
long
time
ago.
E
Never
ever
speak
a
long
long.
If
there's
beer
after
a
meeting,
so
I
will
leave
it
at
that
I'll
just
say.
Thank
you
very
much
for
my
good,
my
brother
Pat
from
coming
here
tonight.
Patsy
I
know
Marlene
couldn't
make
it,
but
his
his
friend
Tim
Lewis,
is
here
my
good
neighbors,
Chrissy
and
Lenny
and
I
think
I
saw
the
Barons
show
up
earlier
in
the
nagamotos.
Thank
you,
neighbors,
for
coming
out
today,
Jim
jernak
Jim's
been
with
me.
He
ran
my
first
campaign
in
1989
and.
E
And
finally,
as
I
thanked,
everyone
before
I
must
thank
someone
that,
quite
frankly,
I
couldn't
have
done
a
tenth
of
what
I've
done.
E
B
E
P
Okay,
I
want
to
thank
you
and
your
family
for
letting
me
participate
in
this
great
and
honored
moment
that
you're
having
here
at
the
city
of
Chandler
I
I,
have
a
lot
of
trust
and
confidence
in
you.
You've
served
this
community
both
at
the
school
district
at
the
city,
small
business
people
and
now
you're,
a
councilwoman
council
member.
So
I
wish
you
the
best
and
thank
you
and
we're
going
to
get
started.
You
can
raise
your
right
hand
and
repeat
after
me,
I
Jane,
Poston
I,
do
solemnly
swear
you.
Q
All
right,
thank
you,
Jay
for
for
doing
that.
I
really
do
appreciate
that
you
guys
can
come
a
little
closer
too.
So
I
want
to
introduce
my
family
and
I
I'm.
Just
gonna
start
with
my
husband,
Jason
heinkel.
It
will
be
23
years
next
month.
Jason.
Q
He
is
my
partner
in
every
sense
of
the
word,
my
business
partner,
my
best
friend,
my
rock,
my
support,
he's
been
there
through
thick
and
thin
and
I
know.
He's
he's
signed
up
to
continue
being
that
support,
while
I'm
here
at
Council
meetings
late
at
night
and
I
just
want
to
say,
I
love
you
and
thank
you
for
everything
that
you
do
and
thank
you
for
being
here
tonight
and
then
my
two
handsome
boys,
my
best
I,
am
a
woman
with
a
house
of
men
and
I
love
it.
Q
So
this
is
my
son
Jacob
heinkel.
He
is
studying
industrial
design
at
ASU
if
you're
the
fork
and-
and
this
is
my
other
son
Jackson
and
he
is
studying
just
everything
over
at
Arizona.
College
Prep
go
ACP,
and
these
two
also
you
know
they
they
kind
of
have
their
own
fashion.
Q
I've
got
an
artist
and
an
athlete,
but
every
morning
they
would
every
Saturday
morning,
over
this
summer,
they'd
put
on
a
Jane,
Poston
t-shirt
and
wake
up
earlier
than
any
teenager
or
20
a
year
old
ever
wanted
to
do
and
and
walk
those
neighborhoods
with
me
and
boy
I'm.
Nothing
without
my
family
and
I
appreciate
you
guys
being
here
tonight
as
much
as
this
is
awkward
and
uncomfortable.
They've
always
been
here
for
me
every
step
of
the
way.
So
I
love
you
both
you
guys.
Both
know
that
too.
Q
So
thank
you
for
being
here,
just
I'm
going
to
take
a
few
moments,
just
a
few
more
words.
My
mother
is
a
little
under
the
weather
this
evening.
I
am
hoping
she
has
figured
out
YouTube
and
is
watching
this
evening,
and
so
I
did
just
want
to.
You
know
recognize
her
and
thank
her,
and
she
allowed
me
to
use
a
Bible
she
gave
to
my
father
many
years
ago
so
to
be
sworn
in
this
evening,
so
it
was
very
special
I
know.
Q
Both
of
them
are
here
with
me
in
spirit
I'm
not
going
to
take
too
much
time.
I'm
going
to
take
Matt's
advice
and
there's
so
many
people
to
thank.
There
is
so
much
hard
work
that
went
into
this
and
to
support
me
and
it's
it's
almost
intimidating.
You
know
a
lot
of
people
put
your
faith
in
you,
but
one
thing
I've
always
said
and
you'll
hear
me
say
this
again
is
you're
not
gonna
get
anywhere
or
if
you
want
to
get
something
done,
get
smart,
strong
women
behind
you.
A
Q
So
I'm
going
to
take
a
point
of
privilege
and
acknowledge
a
few
of
them
tonight
and
one
is
kneeling
right
up
front
nachi
Marquez,
who
actually
stand
up
you're
short
already
nachi
has
been
my
friend
my
boss,
my
mentor
and
I
can't
believe
she
came
out
of
retirement
to
walk
the
streets
with
me
and
give
me
guidance
and
give
me
support
and
give
me
the
kind
of
advice
she
has
always
given
me.
Thank
you.
I
just
wanted
to
thank
you
publicly.
Q
Lori
Collins
is
hiding
somewhere
in
the
back
I
know.
If
you
want
to
strike,
stick
come
on
stand
up.
Another
woman
who
woke
up
earlier
on
a
Saturday
morning
than
anybody
who's
not
playing
golf,
should
to
walk
the
streets
with
me.
I
would
listen
to
her,
give
a
sales
pitch
about
my
campaign
as
council
member
and
go
oh,
my
gosh
who's
that
woman
I
want
to
vote
for
her.
She
did
better
than
I
did
so.
Q
Thank
you,
Lori
and
one
of
my
BFFs
standing
right
up
front
who
doesn't
want
to
be
acknowledged,
Deanne
fedeschi,
please
stand
and
wave
and
say
hi.
She
doesn't
even
live
in
Chandler
she's.
One
of
our
friends
to
the
west,
but
she's
sort
of
an
honorary
Chandler
member.
She
woke
up
many
early
mornings
and
has
spent
many
late
nights
on
the
phone.
Listening
to
me
talk
about
all
the
things
going
on,
and
so
thank
you
and
there
to
all
of
the
strong
smart
women
in
the
room
that
have
helped
me
and
I
know.
Q
I
will
continue
to
rely
on
you
in
the
future,
but
I'm
not
going
to
take
too
much
time
again,
there's
a
little
party
afterwards,
so
I'll
thank
all
of
the
rest
of
you
at
that
time.
Q
Thank
you
for
having
me
I,
look
forward
to
working
with
this
mayor
in
Council
I,
look
forward
and
we'll
do
everything
that
I
can
to
live
up
to
the
trust
that
was
given
to
me
when
I
was
elected
to
this
position
and
do
the
best
I
can
for
this
city
every
day.
I
am
so
proud
of
Chandler
I'm
so
proud
to
be
a
part
of
Chandler
and
so
excited
to
get
started
and
get
to
work.
Thank
you.
R
E
O
R
Thank
you,
I'll
just
have
them
all
stand
up
here
and
I'm
going
to
need
a
microphone
because
I
talk
with
my
hands
all
the
time.
Real,
quick.
This
is
our
Jen.
You
can
stay
up
there.
This
is
my
mother
Juanita,
my
father
Pedro,
my
sister
Dulce,
my
little
nephew
Ethan,
my
brother-in-law,
Filiberto,
my
not
so
little
nephew,
Ashton,
my
nephew
johannan,
my
niece
Gianna
My,
Little,
great
niece
Jackson,
my
sister
marivel,
my
brother
Petey
and
my
sister-in-law,
Melissa.
R
All
right
well
good
evening,
everybody
and
Buenas
Tardes,
first
off
to
all
the
residents
of
Chandler
I
am
at
your
service.
R
R
K
R
I
was
fortunate
to
attend
our
Public
Schools,
where
I
was
inspired
by
our
teachers
and
they
opened
up
new
worlds
for
me
to
explore
their
words
and
their
dedication
still
sit
with
me
today
as
an
adult.
This
city
continues
to
provide
me
growth
as
a
business
owner
I
am
able
to
work
side
by
side
with
my
family,
assisting
and
educating
our
clients
on
the
process
of
legalization
and
the
contributions
they
bring
to
enrich
our
communities.
This
is
a
work
that
inspired
me
to
do
more
and
to
join
this
dice.
R
My
mission
is
to
help
create
more
Chandler
stories,
like
the
leaders
before
me,
the
teachers
that
taught
me
and
the
neighbors
that
have
helped
me.
It
is
my
time
to
take
responsibility
and
do
my
part
to
be
that
example
to
inspire
the
youth,
like
the
leaders
that
inspired
me,
leaders
like
thee,
Cesar,
Chavez,
the
Alberto
Esparza,
the
Juanita.
R
These
their
leadership
continues
today
and
little
did
these
leaders
know
decades
ago
that
they
were
planting
seeds
along
the
way
and
today
those
seeds
have
come
to
bloom.
This
is
my
Chandler
story.
I
am
a
proud
American,
Latino
LGBT
Arizona
raised
right
here
in
the
heart
of
downtown
Chandler
and
as
your
councilman
I
pledge
and
affirm
I
will
govern
and
represent
you
all
equally
with
transparency
and
kindness.

B
Next
on
our
agenda
tonight
is
just
sharing
of
current
events
and
I'll
start
I
would
like
to
invite
each
and
every
one
of
you
to
join
us.
This
Saturday
close
to
here
we
are.
This
will
be
our
28th
Multicultural
Festival
on
Saturday
January
14th.
The
festival
promotes
the
cultural
diversity
of
our
community.
The
festival
will
feature
a
variety
of
cultural
performances,
food
beverage,
vendors
and
fun
for
the
whole
family.
You
might
even
find
some
council
members
up
on
stage
doing
some
belly
dancing.
C
B
Us
from
11AM
to
6
p.m,
at
Dr,
AJ,
Chandler,
Parks
stage
Plaza
and
for
more
information.
Please
visit
the
Chandler
az.gov
forward,
slash
Multicultural
Festival.
Secondly,
I
would
like
to
just
remind
us
all,
although
there's
several
events
that
others
will
be
announcing,
that
Monday
January
16th
is
Dr
Martin
Luther
King
Jr
day.
B
We
look
forward
to
continuing
to
honor
the
Legacy
and
as
well
as
the
Precedence
and
examples
set
forth
on
this
day
for
Dr
King
and
the
impact
that
he
has
for
each
of
us
today
and
thirdly,
I
do
want
to
invite
you
all
to
our
Chandler
International
Film
Festival.
This
will
be
our
seventh
annual,
which
will
be
occurring
from
January
21st
with
a
red
carpet
at
look
theater
that
evening
to
January
29th.
B
With
the
same,
the
film
festival
will
be
showcasing
over
120
films
submitted
from
all
over
the
world
spanning
six
continents
in
35
countries.
You
can
check
out
the
film
festival
list
of
movies
and
events
at
chandlerfilmfestival.com
and
then
finally,
I
would
just
like
to
say
happy
New
Year
to
our
Asian
friends
with
our
Asian
New
Year
sing,
then
Kai
You.
J
Harris,
there's
no
way
that
I'm
going
to
top
that
announcement,
I'm
still
learning
English
as
my
first
language,
anyways
I,
have
a
few
announcements
to
piggyback
on
Mayors
Martin
Luther
King
announcement.
I
am
so
glad
that
this
is
going
to
be
the
second
annual
MLK
Awards
I
was
proud
to
be
able
to
reboot
it
last
year
and
this
year
we
have
it
coming
up
tomorrow
at
four
o'clock.
We
guys
want
you
guys
to
come
on
down
to
Soho
at
four
o'clock,
where
we're
going
to
be
having
our
MLK
Awards.
J
J
So
we
are
going
to
be
moving
that
forward.
Also
on
Sunday
we
have
the
candlelight
visual,
that's
going
to
be
held
at
Pastor,
Hardy's
Church
men
of
action
will
be
having
their
candlelight
visual
at
the
Congressional
Congregational
Church
of
the
Valley
from
6
p.m.
To
8,
P.M
I
know
myself
as
well
as
mayor
and
some
others
are
going
to
be
there
speaking.
It's
a
really
really
cool
event.
J
I
am
encouraging
each
one
of
you,
guys
I
beseech
each
one
of
you
guys
to
come
out
and,
and
please
come
out
and
support
the
MLK
events
that
we
have
and
that's
going
to
be
a
huge
huge
one.
It's
always
really
good.
So
please,
if
you
guys
can
indulges.
Please
come
out
also
already
said:
go
Foundation
we'll
be
having
this
mental
health
awareness
event.
It's
going
to
be
the
second
annual
one.
It's
going
to
be
held,
Sunday
January
15
from
2
P.M
to
5
p.m.
Also,
it
is
for
the
ages.
J
Primarily
focus
is
12
to
18
years
old.
It's
two
dollars,
but
if
you
have
a
child
that
reach
that
age-
and
you
know
don't
have
it
to
to
to
come
just
have
them
come
anyways
we're
going
to
try
to
work
them
in
there
we're
going
to
have
about
30
therapists
there
as
well
as
volunteers
and
influencers.
So
it's
going
to
be
at
the
Tempe
Main
Event.
That's
going
to
be
this
Sunday
from
2
p.m,
to
5
p.m.
J
And,
lastly,
I
am
going
to
be
in
the
Mesa
MLK
parade
and
I'm
super
excited
about
that.
So
join
myself
and
my
wife
and
some
others
that's
going
to
be
going
out
to
Mesa
to
enjoy
MLK.
But
lastly,
I
would
just
say
whatever
you
find
yourself
doing
for
MLK
weekend.
Just
do
it
celebrate
it
post
it
and
as
MLK
would
say,
if
you
can't,
if
we
can't
run
walk
and
you
can't
walk
crawl,
but
whatever
you
do,
don't
stop
moving
all
right.
Y'all,
I'm
peace.
B
R
You
mayor
the
month
of
January
has
celebration
of
unity
events,
so
we
invite
you
to
be
the
change
finding
your
movement,
which
is
going
to
be
this
Saturday
January
14th
from
10
to
11
A.M
at
the
downtown
library,
Dr
Tamika
Sanders
will
walk
through
the
past
and
current
examples
of
how
people
come
have
come
together
in
the
face
of
adversary
adverse.
Oh,
my
gosh
adversity
to.
R
Been
speaking
too
much,
and
also
we
have
the
Multicultural
fashion-
show
this
actually,
tomorrow,
January
13th
from
3
30
to
4
30
p.m.
At
the
Basha
Library
come
celebrate
the
style
at
celebrate
style
at
the
Basha
Library.
The
Multicultural
cultural
clubs
of
Basha,
High
School,
are
excited
to
share
their
cultures
through
the
universal
language
of
fashion.
This
program
is
proud
part
of
proud
of
the
city
of
Chandler
celebration
of
unity.
To
learn
more,
please
visit
the

unity.
Events
visit
chandleraz.gov,
that's
it
for
me
mayor.
Thank
you.
Thank.
E
E
The
staff,
thank
you
very
much
for
all
you've
done
over
the
last.
How
many
years
I've
been
on
this
Council
someone
said
it
very
articulately.
E
We
we
come
and
go
council
members,
but
we
got
a
stable
group
right
here
to
all
the
staff
members
and
the
citizens
I
mean
our
our
staff,
members
that
are
out
there
every
day,
making
a
city
a
great
City
I
want
to
thank
the
residents
and
the
voters,
the
citizens
of
entrusting
me
again
to
serve
as
your
council
member
I'll,
try
to
let
you
down
as
well,
but
just
give
me
a
phone
call
if
you
think
I
am
so
and
I'm
very
open
to
the
criticisms.
We
also
take.
E
Compliments
too
so
remember
that
all
right
so
and
finally,
to
all
those
that
support
the
campaign
are
out
there
knocking
on
doors
and
I,
certainly
want
to
appreciate
your
hard
work,
and
it
will
take
me
forever
to
thank
all
of
you,
but
you
know
where
to
go
after
this
meeting.
We'll
do
some
good
thinking
over
there.
Thank
you
mayor.
I
Mayor,
thank
you.
I
want
to
congratulate
you
on
your
your
re-election,
your
installment
tonight
and
vice
mayor
Orlando,
wealth
of
knowledge
and
I'm
I'm
excited
for
you
to
be
in
that
position.
You
are
the
the
sage
with
the
historical,
with
the
historical
knowledge
that
you
bring
to
the
table.
I
tell
that
to
people
all
the
time,
so
it's
I'm
glad
that
you're
going
to
be
our
vice
mayor,
representing
us
when
the
mayor
can't
and
then
to
Angel
and
Jane
council
members.
I
Excuse
me,
council,
member
Poston
and
council
member
at
Cintas
I'm
delighted
to
be
serving
with
you.
This
is
a
proud
moment
for
me
to
be
on
the
dice
with
you
and
I'm
excited
about
that.
So
my
announcements
are
brief,
but
I
want
to
thank
the
mayor
and
Council
for
entrusting
me
and
serving
on
the
Maricopa
Association
of
governments,
mag
Transportation
policy
committee,
this
this.
This
group
oversees
a
20-year
Regional
Transportation
plan
for
the
region.
I
Development
develops
their
transportation
positions
and
provides
oversight
over
proposition,
400
and
I'm,
looking
forward
to
average
educating
for
not
only
Chandler
but
the
East
Valley
on
that
board.
So,
thank
you
very
much
and
then
we're
going
to
double
up
on
the
Chandler
International
Film
Festival.
So
there
are
some
big
names
coming
to
this
Festival.
It's
now
nine
days,
long
or
eight
days
long
I
serve
on
the
board.
For
that
and
this
year
we've
got
the
screening
of
the
movie
Bezos
and
if
you
know
what
a
screening
is,
it's
the
first
run.
I
So
that's
a
big
deal
with
Kevin
sorbos
in
that
movie,
the
screening
of
the
new
Rob
Schneider
movie
called
daddy
daughter
trip.
So,
as
you
know,
many
of
you
may
know
that
Rob
Schneider
recently
moved
to
Scottsdale
and
he'll,
be
in
attendance
for
I.
Think
our
one
of
our
big
nights,
so
Betty
Betty,
can
fill
me
in
later
and
fill
you
in
later
on
what
all
that
is
and
then
several
other
movies
in
all
different
genres.
I
I
think
we
have
an
Indian
American
day
celebrating
the
110
year
anniversary
of
Indian
film
and
a
number
of
other
things
so
there'll
be
filmmaker
Awards
and
all
kinds
of
things.
So
please
go
online,
go
to
the
Chandler,
International
Film
Festival
and
take
part
in
this
amazing
cultural
event
that
we
have
right
here
in
Chandler
to
Echo
what
councilmember
Lopez
says.
It
is
a
perfect
example
of
Americana
with
the
different
genres
that
we
have
in
different
cultural
events.
So
thanks
very
much.
K
Thank
you
mayor
for
the
new
incoming
council
members.
My
love
language
is
gift.
Giving
and
I
do
the
gift
giving
that's
how
I
said:
I
love
you
and
so
tonight,
I
would
like.
K
I
I
felt
that
I
needed
to
really
do
that
and
say
thank
you
for
saying
yes
to
this
and
to
the
council.
Member
of
my
right.
We
sat
down
for
about
three
hours
before
you
decided
Well
after
you
decided
to
do
that,
because
we
needed
to
talk
with
each
other
and
I
made
your
promise
then,
and
the
promise
still
stand
on
this
dice.
We
will
look
for
the
people
of
Chandler.
We
will
work
together
to
make
sure
that
their
well-being
and
their
quality
of
life
is
always
improving
under
our
watch
and
so
I.
K
Thank
you
for
saying.
Yes,
I,
thank
you
for
being
here
with
me
and
to
serve
and
for
those
of
you.
If
you
realize
that
I'm
all
about
the
women
servant,
I'm
all
about
the
women,
so
I've
been
there.
So
this
is
going
to
be
a
wonderful
time
with
all
of
you
serving
and
welcome
you
to
the
diocese
with
me
again,
council,
member
and
CNS.
K
This
is
a
history
week
and
I
was
sitting
there
and
when
your
mom
held
that
Bible
and
you
put
your
hand-
and
it
haven't
been
in
China
for
36
years-
I
know
what
that
meant
to
her
as
a
Mom,
myself,
I
know
what
that
meant
to
her,
and
so
I
would
cherish
that
forever
in
my
heart
to
have
seen
this
happen
in
the
city
of
Chandler.
So
thank
you
for
saying
yes
appreciate.
Both
of
you
really
appreciate
you,
so
the
news
that
I
have
for
tonight
it's
about
the
unity
walk.
K
The
regional
Unity
walk
is
taking
place
on
Saturday
January
28th
at
Tempe,
Town
Lake,
please
join
us.
You
are
all
invited
to
take
part
in
that
one
mile
walk
to
celebrate
cultural
diversity.
K
K
The
next
thing
I
will
tell
you
about,
is
the
on
Sunday.
We
made
history
again
here
in
Chandler
with
the
South
Chandler
historical
Conservation
District
celebration.
What
a
moment
for
Chandler
a
city
of
over
a
hundred
years
old
for
the
first
time
we
actually
look
around
us
and
designated
an
area
where
those
who
have
lived
there
have
contributed
to
Chandler
with
all
they
have.
K
We
have
quite
a
few
Mayors
in
the
back
that
came
from
that
area
and
I
was
so
proud
to
sit
at
a
table
with
Mrs
and
sinners,
councilmember
Harris
and
council
member
and
sinners
Mrs
Encina
says
that
things
have
not
changed
and
I
had
to
take
a
moment
to
say.
Look
at
us
at
this
table
right
now.
I
think
a
lot
have
changed
here
in
Chandler
and
always
for
the
best.
K
So
this
historical
moment,
also
for
the
South
Side,
was
the
neighborhood
we're
going
to
have
signs
in
these
areas
designated
the
area
saying
that
it
is
a
historical
neighborhood.
It
was
also
where
professional
boxer
Zora
Foley
grew
up.
So
if
you
knew
about
Zora,
you
know
that
he
was
the
first
one
who
had
Chandler's
name
be
called
over
the
microphone
in
New
York
City
for
all
the
world
to
actually
know
where
Chandler
belong
and
was.
K
When
I
came
to
this
country
there
was
something
that
was
very
important
to
me
to
live
into
the
truth
of
knowing
those
words
that
Martin
Luther
King
said:
Darkness
cannot
drive
out.
Darkness
only
light
can
do
that.
Hate
cannot
drive
out
hate.
Only
love
can
do
that,
and
so
that's
the
reason
why
I
live
by
the
principle.
I
live
in
that
knowledge
of
love
it
defines
who
I
am
it
defines
what
I
do
here
for
Chandler
and
so
I
really
appreciate
all
my
colleagues
who
have
mentioned
that
Monday
will
be
a
very
special
day.
K
It
is
going
to
be
Martin
Luther
King
Jr
day.
Please
join
us
in
celebrating
I
hope.
Everyone
will
take
some
time
this
weekend
to
think
on
the
Legacy
and
the
sacrifice
that
this
man
have
made
that
I
can
sit
on
this
diet
right
now
and
all
of
us
can
serve
together.
In
this
light,
let's
take
those
words
to
heart
and
always
love
one
another.
Thank
you.
J
Q
Loved
right
now,
thank
you,
council
member,
thank
you
mayor
and
I
I.
Do
want
to
thank
you,
mayor
for
putting
me
on
the
Maricopa
Association
of
governments,
Economic
Development
Committee.
That's
my
first
announcement.
It's
it's
an
important
committee.
It
focuses
on
infrastructure
and
its
relation
to
Economic
Development,
so
I
invite
the
business
Community
or
any
members
of
the
community.
If
you
have
any
comments
or
questions
I
invite
you
to
please
contact
me.
Q
I've
appreciated
the
business
community,
support
and
I
look
forward
to
continuing
to
work
for
economic
development
in
the
business
community
in
the
future.
So
thank
you
for
mayor
for
allowing
me
to
serve
in
that
capacity
and
then
the
next
announcement
that
I
have
is
regarding
boards
and
commissions.
I
am
a
big
believer.
That
is,
you
know,
I
nerd
out
a
little
bit.
Municipal
government
is
the
most
important
level
of
government
for
anyone
it.
You
can
talk
to
your
council
members,
you
can
reach
out
to
them.
Q
You
can
be,
and
Chandler
is
all
about
being
transparent
and
Community
engagement
and
one
of
the
ways
to
do
that
is
boards
and
commissions,
and
we
have
quite
a
few
openings
right
now
on
our
boards
and
commissions
that
ranges
from
anything
from
cultural
Foundation
to
Economic
Development
to
the
airport,
to
military,
Planning
and
Zoning.
If
you
have
an
interest
and
you'd
like
to
get
engaged,
we
would
love
to
have
you
so
you
can
go
to
and
fill
out
an
application
on,
chandleraz.gov
boards
and
come
be
a
part
of
all
of
this
great
stuff.
Q
L
Thank
you
mayor
just
briefly,
on
behalf
of
Staff,
want
to
congratulate
formally
our
new
and
returning
council
members
mayor
Hartke
vice
mayor
Orlando,
councilmember
and
cenus,
and
councilmer
Poston.
We
are
very
much
looking
forward
to
working
with
you
this
year
and
appreciate
all
the
time
you
spent
with
us
the
last
few
months
in
orientation
for
your
your
positions
that
you
took
tonight.
So
thank
you
so
much.
Congratulations
again.
L
B
I,
don't
think
anyone
has
ever
clapped
for
your
announcements
before
seize
the
moment.
It's
a
good
day.
We
started
our
first
service
with
Pastor
Hardy,
singing
a
prayer,
and
we
will
conclude
our
second
Council
session
here
with
the
same
Pastor
Harney.
F
G
F
G
F
B
With
that,
that
concludes
our
session.
Let
your
festivities
continue
elsewhere.
Oh
hold
up
all
right
counts.
If
we
could
have
a
photo
in
front.
