From YouTube: CHAOSS Asia-Pacific Community Call 3-24-21
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
So
hi
everybody
welcome
to
the
asia
pacific
chaos
call
the
minutes
are
in
the
chat
about
put
them
in
there
again.
If
you
could
access
the
minutes
and
add
yourself,
that
would
be
awesome.
A
A
That's
the
story
all
right,
so
I'd
like
to
just,
I
think
the
agenda's
in
here.
So
thanks
for
folks
filling
that
out
and
kind
of
getting
through
that
I'll
share.
My
screen.
A
So
the
one
of
the
first
things
that
I'd
like
to
just
put
out
there
is
this
is
kind
of
a
personal
thing,
so
I'm
seeking
anybody
who
would
like
to
chat
about
kind
of
contemporary
ways
that
organizations
are
participating
in
open
source
in
2021.
This
was
a
kind
of
a
series
of
questions
that
I
had
asked
honestly
back
in
2012,
20
2013,
with
respect
to
why
organizations
participate
in
open
source
and
I'm
suspecting
that
the
things
have
changed
a
little
bit.
A
This
was
back
in
the
day
when
the
linux
foundation
had
about
eight
projects
in
it,
and
I
think
the
number
is
over
400
now,
if
you
can
believe
that,
so
I'm
curious
just
as
to
what's
changed,
what
motivates
organizations
to
participate
and
structurally
how
they're
set
up.
So
if
you
would
ever
like
to
talk-
or
if
you
know
folks
at
your
organization
that
would
like
to
chat,
that
would
be
great.
A
I
would
love
to
to
be
able
to
talk
with
you,
so
that's
that's
what
that
first,
one
is
so
just
seeking
support
as
an
academic.
This
is
something
I
do
as
well,
and
it
ties
ties
back
into
the
chaos
work,
yeah.
B
A
A
Great
thanks
willem
the
second.
C
D
A
I
just
wanted
to
keep
people
posted
on
the
release
of
the
translations,
so
you
know
again,
we
do
have
the
github
repository,
which
is
chaos
translations,
and
we
are
still
planning
on
releasing
these
translations.
So
the
order
of
events
was
we
had
the
metrics
release
that
occurred
not
too
long
ago,
maybe
just
a
couple
weeks
ago,
and
we
have
the
chinese
and
spanish
translations
on
kind
of
the
on
a
on
a
subset
of
those
metrics,
probably
about
90
percent
of
those
metrics,
and
so
we
still
do
plan
on
releasing
the
translations
shoya.
A
I
know
that
you
and
king
have
been
taking
a
look
at
some
of
the
chinese
translations
and
there
appear
to
be
some
some
just
kind
of
complications
in
terms
of
terminology
and
how
we
use
how
we
use
language
so
and
part
of
me
is
hesitant
to
do
the
translation
release
if
we're
not
getting
the
language
correct,
but
part
of
me
is
eager
to
do
the
translation
release
because
it
provides
an
opportunity,
obviously
to
have
the
metrics
released
in
other
languages.
So
I'm
kind
of
I'm
torn
people
have
thoughts
on
this.
I'd
really
appreciate
it.
C
C
C
I
mean
just
the
terminology
that
we
think
is
more,
that
we
have
a.
We
can
change
the
expression
and,
like
the
issue,
the
closed
issue.
I
think
that
me
and
she
have
have
that.
We
have
discussed
a
lot
under
that
issue
and
that
pr
has
for
quite
a
long
time.
I
think
we
can
change,
though,
change
that
specific
expression
for
all
metrics
for
now
and
prepare
for
first-grade
piece.
A
Okay,
would
it
make
sense,
shoya
to
maybe
focus
on
a
smaller
set
of
metrics
that
could
be
released
as
translated
so
like
you
know
how
we
have
the
different
focus
areas
like
diversity
and
inclusion,
evolution,
common
risk
and
value.
Would
it
maybe
make
sense
to
only
focus
on,
say
the
subset
of
metrics
that
are
in
evolution?
First,
like
we
don't
have
to
release
everything
right
away,
we
could
do
it
in
in
pieces.
C
Yes,
I
think
that
works.
I
we
can
have
further
review,
maybe
like
all
the
metrics
under
the
evolution
area,.
A
Cool
does
anybody
else,
have
comments
or
thoughts
on
the
release
of
the
metrics,
the
translated
metrics.
A
Will
don
no
okay
I'd
really.
A
It
goodbye
okay,
so
thank
you
so
yeah.
I
really
do
appreciate
the
support
and
help
on
that.
C
I
put
those
pictures
yeah,
it
went
well
the
made
up.
All
the
topics
are
around
metrics
and
we
we
played
the
video
from
actually
from
last
meet
up
that
recorded
by
elizabeth
and
xiang
talking
about
a
whole
chaos,
community
and
auger.
C
This
is
the
first
section
about
metrics
and
I
also
introduced
the
github
github
analysis.
Reports
represent
my
lab
and
also
topics
around
infrastructure
and
compliance.
A
So
shoya,
how
I
just
wrote
in
there
are
there:
are
there
things
that
are
being
produced
at
these
meetups
or
like
conversations
that
you're
capturing
at
the
meetups?
That
would
be
helpful
to
bring
into
the
discussions
that
we
have
in
chaos.
You
know
if
you're
talking
about
metrics
are
there
new
metrics
that
people
are
talking
about?
Is
there
work
being
done
on
existing
metrics
like
I'd
love
to
capture
the
good
ideas
that
are
coming
out
of
these
meetups.
C
Most
of
the
discussion
is
around
how
to
apply
this
metrics
to
because
this
meetup
is
actually
supported
by
supported
by
the
open
source
operating
system
named
open,
open
europe,
and
this.
This
operating
system
used
to
belong
to
huawei
and
they
opened
source
it
last
year
and
they
are
trying
to
measure
the
measure
like
because
they
want
to
make
the
community
more
more
active
or
they
want
to
know
or
or
just
to
read,
improve
the
user
retention.
B
I
think
I
can
add
some
comments
on
that
and
for
the
open
online.
B
Distribution
and
it
has
a
great
pressures-
the
compliance
license,
compliance
so
so
most
of
the
so
king
and
and
some
others
they,
they
just
said
a
special
interesting
group
about
compliance,
licensed
compliance
or
or
so
so
I
I
think
they
they.
They
need
to
spend
a
lot
of
time
on.
B
On
the
chaos
rascal
matrix-
and
that
is
pretty
much
what
I
I
know
about.
B
B
Actually,
it's
run
by
huawei,
but
there's
a
it's.
An
open
source
project
and
other
companies
are
joining.
So
is
it
mostly
chinese
companies?
I'm
just
curious.
A
B
A
So
is
the
question
about
how
to
manage
risk
in
this
distro
to
ensure
that
the
distribution
is
not
in
violation
of
licenses?
Is
that
correct,
yeah
yeah,
that's
interesting,
and
so
how
old
is
this
distro.
B
I
I
think
in
huawei
it
it's
about
four
or
five
years,
but
this
has.
C
B
Oh,
it
means
the
the
oh
I
I
just
sent
the
link
of
the.
A
A
Shoya,
would
you
or
willem
would
you
have
an
interest
in
you
know
like
a
blog
post
for
chaos,
about
open
eu
ler
and
what
you
know
kind
of
what
the
history
is
and
then
how
licensed
compliance
is
a
is
a
concern
and
how
the
chaos
metrics
help
help
overcome
that
concern,
or
maybe
concerns
the
wrong
word,
but
maybe
how
the
chaos
metroid's
help
overcome
those.
A
Because
I
think
that,
like
pulling
out
stories
from
from
organizations
and
communities
as
to
how
the
metrics
are
helping
them
think
through
issues-
and
I
think
honestly,
I
would
guess
keeping
our
eyes
on
open
euler
is
important,
because
a
distro,
a
new
linux
distro
coming
from
huawei
with
participating
chinese
organizations,
probably
has
some
momentum
behind
it
and
it
might
be
worth
watching.
That'd
be
my
guess.
B
Yeah-
and
I
I
totally
get
your
idea
about
those-
are
some
open
source
projects
that
they
like
to
share
the
information.
That's
another
company
or
organization
adopting
this
kind
of
technology,
and
it
will
be
very
helpful
for
others
to
follow
the
the
the
role
of
the
follow
the
road
and
then
they
can
come
up.
Maybe
the
similar
solutions
on
top
of
this
technology.
A
That
would
be
great.
I
would
love
to
see
that
I'm
starting
to
think
in
chaos
we're
driven
a
lot
by
stories
just
because
every
situation
is
so
unique
that
it's
hard
for
us
to
ever
specify
something
explicitly.
But
I
think
stories
really
help
draw
out
what
other
people
are
doing
and
what
they're
struggling
with
and
how
they're
overcoming
the
the
things
that
they're
trying
to
overcome.
A
These
these
just
have
sho.
Have
you
written
a
blog
post
for
chaos
before
I
don't
know
that
you
have.
C
I
I
had
a
blog
post
when
the
badging
documentation,
okay,.
A
These
can
be
short,
they
don't
have
to
be
long,
very,
very
long
posts
or
anything
I
mean
they
can
basically
just
say:
here's
here's
what
we
are
trying
to
accomplish,
here's
the
story
that
we
have
and
here's
you
know
where
we
plan
on
going
in
the
future
or
would
like
to
to
go
in
the
future.
That'd
be
really
great,
all
right,
cool,
shawya
or
willem.
Do
you
have
any
other
comments
on
the
meetup
things
that
we
can
bring
forward.
C
Again
have
a
nice
report
we
just
had.
We
just
had
the
last
translation
review
yesterday
and
it
really
took
us
a
lot
of
energy
to
do
this,
because
the
report
is
pretty
long
and
we
just
put
it
into
google
translation
firsthand
to
review
the
correction.
It
turns
out
that
that
that
doesn't
work
so
well,
but
but
hopefully
the
english
report
will
be
published
before
april.
C
C
Okay,
we
have
already
set
the
dock
to
designers,
to
make
it
looks,
pdf
and.
A
C
Oh
because
of
our
lab,
we
had
a
a
lot
of
exploration
of
the
of
all
github
data
because
we
collect
the
domain
github
data.
C
Oh
no,
the
report
is
based
on
the
developers,
collaboration
log
data,
to
do
some
analysis
and
we
have
we
just
to
display
the.
D
C
Yeah
and
we
we
also
have
have
some-
we,
we
also
call
it
matrix,
but
but
not
like
matrix
like
we
had.
For
example,
we
had
a
battery
called
activity
activity,
but
we
just
combined
issue
pr
pr
command
pr
merge
all
these
events
together
and
give
them
weight
like
it's
a
cosmetic
model.
A
A
B
A
A
Okay,
that
sounds
good.
Thank
you,
so
yeah,
I'm
guessing
we're
gonna
stay
with
you
on
the
wechat.
Is
that
right,
yeah.
C
C
I
had
a
friend
from
I
don't
know
abortion
he's
in
the
meeting
and
he
he
is
planning
to
apply
for.
A
Yep,
so
if
he
has
questions
so
I
don't
know
if
he's
reaching
out
to
you
or
to
the
chaos
folks,
but
the
just
the
way
that
it
works
right
is.
We
have
a
series
of
ideas
that
are
posted
in
the
governance
repo
and
we
have
a
series
of
associated
with
the
ideas,
our
micro
tasks,
that
we
ask
interested
students
to
accomplish.
A
So
it's
just
a
way
to
kind
of
ensure
that
they
have
the
it's
a
way
to
kind
of
measure,
the
skills
that
they
have
prior
to
being
accepted
to
summer
of
code.
So,
for
example,
if
it's
a
google
summer
of
code
idea
associated
with
gramor
lab,
then
the
microtasks
are
things
usually
like,
just
installing
gremore
lab
and
running
through
a
series
of
tasks
associated
with
the
software.
So
if
the,
if
anybody
who's
responded
to
you,
has
questions.
C
Yeah
I
put
some
resource
resources
at
the
bottom
of
that
promotion:
okay,
cool
the
link
of
chaos,
okay
and
and
the
governance
page
interesting
idea,
page.
Oh.
A
Great,
thank
you
perfect.
Thank
you
all
right,
the
next
item.
This
is
season
of
docs,
and
so
I
just
like
to
oops.
I
could
spell
that
right.
So
google
season
of
docs
is
dramatically
different
this
year
than
it
has
been
in
the
past,
so
in
shoya.
I
know
that
you
had
expressed
interest
in
possibly
participating
in
season
of
docs
and
so
the
way
that
the
way
that
it
works.
A
A
C
So
if
I
expressed
interest
so
now,
I
just
need
to
express
my
interest
to
chaos
instead
of
dog.
A
I
believe
so,
yes,
I
can
check
with
venue
who's
kind
of
leading
our
efforts
around
season
of
tax,
but
I
think
today,
march
24th,
breakfast
club
day
is
the
day
that
we
actually
do
the
submission
as
the
chaos
project,
to
to
express
our
interest
in
participating
in
season
of
docs.
So
I
think
at
the
moment
there's
nothing
that
you
need
to
show
yeah,
but
I'll
double
check
and
I'll
I'll.
Let
you
know
if
there
is
okay,
okay,
okay,
cool
all
right.
A
C
C
This
is,
I
put
a
shimmer
link,
it's
a
really
preliminary
stage
project
and
from
my
mentor
he
he
just.
C
He
just
told
me
the
this
project
today
and
is
promoted
by
several
chinese
open
source
organizations
and
institutions,
and
they
are
trying
to
set
some
standards
it
it.
They
can't
initially
open
source
community
governance
standard,
but
we
think
it
sounds
a
bit
strange,
so
changed
it
into
framework
or
best
practice,
and
we
try
to
make
the
the
organizations
more
diversity
and
this
governance
framework
or
best
practice
will
ensure
to
also
to
be
drafted
from
the
metric
or
measure
point
of
view.
A
A
B
So
yeah,
I
I,
I
think
it
is
many
on
a
standard
to
to
make
some
recommendations
for
the
others,
to
adopting
some
metrics
that
how
to
measure
the
the
open
source
project-
and
I
I
I
participate
several
kind
of
working
group
about
the
michael
service.
So
so
so
I
I
I
I
know
those
are
some
process,
but
there
is
many
about
the
documentation
to
to
major
standard
to.
B
Maybe
a
white
paper
is
to
to
let
the
people
to
know
about
the
certain
kind
of
technologies
or
just
help
them
to
adapting
this
kind
of
technology.
Okay,.
B
It's
it's
made
really
easy
to
serve
an
open
source
project
or
or
I
I
think
chaos
provides
a
lot
of
metrics.
So
maybe
we
can
introduce
some
of
them
to
the
standard,
so
people
don't
have
to
do
that
again.
Yeah
and
yeah.
I
I
I
think
king
can
can
can
provide,
can
can
be
a
very
good
contact
points
or
or
just
papers
in
keep
a
lot
of
people
in
the
same
page,
gotcha.
B
It's
like
there's
a
bunch
of
people
who
wants
to
solve
the
problems
just
like
the
open
source
community,
but
it
will
be
a
more
a
formal
way
so
so
so,
but
I
think
most
of
them
suggest
wants
to
evaluate
open
source
projects
to
tell
if
it's
healthy
or
not
healthy,
gotcha.
A
So
in
that,
in
that
regard,
I
would
I
might
recommend,
when
is
this
presentation,
shoya
or
willem?
When
would
this
occur?
Oh.
B
C
A
B
So
very
preliminary
okay,
yeah
yeah.
They
they
just
started
the
the
document
a
few
months
ago,
and
I
just
checked
the
comments.
It's
pretty
much
new.
They
just
set
up
a
framework.
So
there's
a
lot
of
work
need
to
be
done.
Okay,.
A
I
think
my
my
recommendation
in
this
regard
is
that
many
of
the
tools
and
metrics
that
come
out
of
of
the
chaos
project
are
they're
meant
to
help
orient
organizations
towards
understanding
community
health
or
community
engagement,
so
they
certainly
aren't
universally
the
same
for
everybody
and
they
we
try
to
in
the
chaos
project,
try
to
not
say
that
a
particular
metric
going
up
or
down
is
good
or
bad.
We
say
that
these
are
metrics,
that
help
reveal
characteristics
about
health
and
it's
up
to
the
local
organization
to
determine.
A
B
Okay,
I
I
I
totally
agree
with
that.
So
so
it's
look
like
you
provide
a
certain
kind
of
recipe,
but
you
need
to
adapt
with
your
needs
and-
and
I
I
from
iceland
yeah,
I
I
couldn't
say
I
have
the
issues
to
to
to
to
tell
which
inner
source
project
is
a
good
one.
So
so
I
I
I
think
I
can
borrow
some
house
open
source
health
metric
to
to
to
help
me
to
to
do
that
and
with
certain
kinds
of
tools.
A
But
you
still
have
to
right
exactly
and
then
still
every
time
you
look
at
a
local
question.
You
have
to
reevaluate
what
the
metrics
mean
in
that
situation,
so
cool
right
on,
and
I
can
tell
you
that
a
lot
of
people
when
you
present
chaos,
metrics
or
chaos
tooling,
a
lot
of
people
will
say,
tell
me
what
metrics
need
to
go
up
to
be
healthy
or
tell
me
what
metrics
need
to
go
down
to
be
healthy.
A
D
A
B
Yeah,
I
just
added-
and
this
is
the
chinese
version
of
the
google
sum
of
code-
and
I
I
think
xiao
have
the
gt
plug-in
requirements.
So
I
highly
recommend
we
may
be
a
part
of
the
these
programs
and
we
can
leverage
the
the
support
to
encourage
the
chinese
students
to
do
this
kind
of
work.
But
currently
we
already
have
some
ideas
of
a
sum
of
code
if
we
lack
of
the
slogs,
so
so
so.
B
Basically,
I
I
think
this
project
could
be
a
supplemental
addition,
part
for
for
the
google
summer
code
and
I
I
I'd
be
happy
to
fail
the
apply
form
for
for
chaos.
But
I
need
the
help
of
a
community
to
provide
more
project
ideas
and
I
even
need
the
mentor
to
to
help
the
students.
B
Those
are
two
months:
no
there's
yeah
one
one
and
a
half
months.
I
I
guess.
A
B
Yeah
but
quincy
we
don't
need
to
we.
We
just
need
to
add
as
a
command
community.
I,
as
the
link
I
I
provide,
and
if
we
have
any
ideas,
project
ideas,
we
can
just
add
it
later.
I
I
will
add
more
information
about
that.
C
A
That
sounds
great.
I
don't
have
any.
I
don't
see
any
problem
with
that
who
who
funds
this?
Who
is
funding
it?
Do
you
know.
B
It's
actually
it's
a
chinese
like
a
academic,
maybe
check
I'm.
B
Yeah
yeah,
it's
not
it's
not
from
the
company,
but.
C
B
Think
they
they
got
to
fund,
maybe
from
the
government.
I
I'm
not
quite
sure,
but
this
is
the
second
program.
B
A
B
Yeah
second
time-
and
they,
I
think,
a
lot
of
apache
projects
participate
the
opportunity
project
origin
from
china.
They
they
participate.
This
this
project
cool.
A
A
B
Yeah,
it
could
be
a
quincy
last
year,
the
chinese
student
to
get
paid
because
the
the
money
transfer
is
okay
and
I
got
the
confirmation
from
the
program
organizer:
they
they
tried.
They,
they
tried
their
best
to
make
sure
this
year
it
it's
okay,
because
there
are
some
regulations
in
in
china.
So
we
cannot
send
the
money,
especially.
B
Yeah
yeah
and
if
you
need
any
help
you
can
just
drop
me
a
mail
or
or
I
I
can
share
this
information
in
the
mailing
list,
so
yeah.
No,
that
sounds
great
I'd
love
for
you
to
do
that.
A
That's
a
great
place
to
do
it
cool
all
right
folks.
We
are
four
minutes
away
from
the
end
of
our
time,
but
we
are
at
the
end
of
our
agenda,
so
I
think
we'll
let
the
agenda
supersede
time
in
this
case
and
say
thank
you
for
everybody
for
joining
xia
and
willam.
I
really
do
appreciate
all
the
work
that
you're
doing
in
promoting
chaos
in
china
and
continuing
to
it's
just
that's
fantastic.
So
thank
you
so
much
until
next
time,
yeah
until
next.
