CHAOSS.D&I.April.1.2020
A
So
welcome
everyone
to
our
chaos,
diversity
and
inclusion.
Working
group
meeting
on
April
1st
I'm
gonna
share
my
screen
here,
so
that
we
can
all
see
the
same
thing
and
what
we're
talking
about
and
also
sharing
the
screen,
helps
anyone
who
is
watching
the
recording
later
on
YouTube
to
know
what
you're
talking
about
so
thank
you
have
one
for
adding
yourself
to
the
list
of
attendees
and
letting
us
know
how
you're
doing
today
it
looks
like
it's
almost
coping.
Alright.
A
A
B
A
A
A
This
is
a
working
group
meeting,
so
we
are
all
here
with
an
interest
in
diversity
and
inclusion
and
measuring
that
and
for
our
communities,
or
maybe
you
have
other
interests
that
brought
you
here
and
so
the
working
group
is
an
open
forum
where
we
can
talk
about
everything
that
isn't
interests
us
and
I,
encourage
you
to
speak
up
or
adhere
to
the
list,
the
agenda,
items
and
notes.
If
you
have
something
you
want
us
to
talk
about
today,.
A
And
I
do
this
because,
while
I
might
be
I
may
be
leading
the
meeting,
it
doesn't
mean
we
have
to
follow
my
agenda.
That
should
not
be
the
case,
speaking
of
which
leading
the
meeting
in
the
past,
we
have
gone
around
and
rotated
who
is
leading.
The
meeting
I
would
like
to
start
doing
that
again,
and
so
the
facilitator
today
is
me,
but
then
who
who
would
be
available
to
facilitate
next
week.
C
A
A
Shared-
and
this
is
take
the
meeting
so
so
long
I-
really
appreciate
you
stepping
up
okay,
let's
recap
what
we
did
on
the
documentation
accessibility.
Last
week
we
were.
We
already
went
through
the
description
objectives
quite
intensely
in
the
past,
and
we
were
working
on
implementation
last
week,
which
you
can
see
here
on
the
screen
is
rather
extensive
and
so
to
make
it
more
manageable.
We
started
looking
at
breaking
out
the
objectives
into
logical
units
and
have
multiple
metrics
I.
A
B
Yeah
so
I'm
sorry,
I
kind
of
like
did
a
a
more
of
a
suggested
structure,
because
you
know
so
so
now.
This
is
like
the
starting
point
that
everybody
else
can,
please
just
say:
no,
no,
no,
let's
do
it
a
completely
different
way,
because
I
felt
like
we
were
having
those
half,
you
know
half
steps
towards
an
idea,
and-
and
you
know
we
were
all
doing
it
at
the
same
time
and
then
I
I,
don't
mind
being
the
bad
guy.
So
so
I
I
tried
to
come
to
the
common
structure.
A
B
B
D
D
B
D
D
A
A
B
So
you
know
how
documentation
is
the
documentation,
however,
requirements
of
documentation,
and
then
the
other
things
is
is
more
about
utility,
so
this
is
usability
and
the
other
two
are
more
of
you
know
it's
you,
you
know
the
utility
of
it.
Is
it
reachable
discoverable
whatever?
Is
it
accessible,
but
I
kind
of
wanted
to
split
accessibility,
as
in
as
in
things
that
require
accommodation
from
reach
ability,
as
in
I,
can
get
to
it
versus
I?
Can
you
know
that
now
that
I
have
it
I
can
actually
consume
it
as
well
and
I?
B
A
B
Difference
as
opposed
to
the
word
special
needs,
you
know
accommodating
differences,
I
guess
differences.
Is
you
know?
The
idea
is
that
every
consumer
of
a
document
has
needs
and
when
the
needs
are
different
from
the
mainstream,
you
know
so
so
at
least
I
hope.
That's
where
we're
heading
you
know
with
documentation.
A
B
There
there
could
be
the
idea
that
they
use
Braille
and
other
and
other
forms
that
are
not
just
audible,
because
I
believe
there
is
a
contradiction
between
how
we're
how
those
three
bullet
points
are.
Some
of
them
are
the
who,
like
how
they're
like
the
person
who
has
a
difference
and
the
others
are
how
like
the
first
one
accessibility
screen
reader
I
think
belongs
to
the
third
one.
But
it's
not
me.
Actually,
you
know
it's
not
exclusive
to
the
last
one.
B
A
B
A
E
C
B
B
B
D
D
B
B
B
B
Really
good
at
this
game.
Yes,
I
find
like
the
winning
word,
but
then
it's
confusing
for
everyone,
because
you
know
it's
based
on
hints
and
contexts.
So
unless
we're
all
in
agreement
with
the
utility-
and
we
can
defend
that
when
people
sauce,
why
did
he
call
it
that
will
be
like?
Because
it
makes
sense?
Well.
C
C
A
B
A
I
agree
that
we
need
to
adjust
the
description
objectives
and
everything
now
that
we
are
splitting
it
into
different
documents,
and
maybe
for
now
it
makes
sense
to
keep
it
in
the
same
Google
Doc
just
so
we
can
copy
back
and
forth
more
easily
and
I'm
I'm.
Just
checking
back
on
the
minutes
document
to
see
if
anyone
added
any
items
that
they
wanted
to
talk
about
today,
we
are,
we've
got
20
minutes
left
in
the
call
and
I
just
want
to
make
sure
we
have
enough
time
for
other
topics.
A
If
there
are
any
other
things
you
want
to
talk
about
it,
it
does
not
look
like
it.
If
you
do
have
something,
please
do
add
it
to
the
agenda.
Otherwise
we're
going
to
continue
working
on
our
documentation,
accessibility
document,
which
is
moving
forward
quite
nicely
I,
like
the
direction
that
we're
going
here.
A
A
An
hour
Nutan
ourself,
we
can
have
a
couple
minutes
of
quiet
editing,
but
just
because
I
mute
myself
doesn't
mean
you
have
to
mean
it,
as
there
are
things
that
come
to
mind.
Oh,
you
want
to
speak
up
just
unmute
yourself
and
we
can
talk
about
what
thoughts
and
ideas
we
are
having.
Well.
Can
someone
please
sleep
that
link
at
the
top.
B
A
A
That
is
so
far
down
the
road.
Okay,
I,
don't
know
whether
we
will
have
all
three
ready
at
the
same
time
or
whether
we
want
to
move
one
forward
and
then
focus
on
the
next
one
right
now.
The
mission
for
the
next
20
minutes
is
to
separate
them
out
where
we
had
one
description
that
had
all
areas.
I
think
we
need
three
descriptions
so
that
we
have
clarity
in
how
we
are
splitting
this
up,
not
just
in
the
objectives,
but
also
in
the
description.
B
A
F
A
A
B
I
think
I
have
one
part
of
what
you
selected.
I
the
the
do
two
part
I'm
just
trying
to
reframe,
so
I
added
a
new
line
before
there
I'm
trying
to
reframe
how
we
wrote
the
first
paragraph
to
be
talking
more
about
use
versus
accessibility
and
yeah.
So
so,
but
I
didn't
want
to
put
it
where
the
text
is
right
now,
until
until
I
can
get
a
handle
on
how
the
paragraph
looks,
yeah
cos.
A
Okay,
so
that
makes
sense
if
he
so
I
just
went
through
the
three
descriptions
and
looking
at
what
everyone
has
edited
so
far
and
right
now,
I
think
well,
they're
all
very
parallel,
they're
very
similar,
but
they
have
key
differences
and
I
think
they
came
about
from
just
removing
elements
so
and
replacing
with
you
so
documentation
usability
is
critical.
This
first
sentence
is
almost
well
it's
pretty
much
the
same.
We
just
replace
this
one
work
and
all
of
them,
but
then
users
of
documentation
have
different
ways.
A
A
B
B
B
So
I've
noticed
that
it's
really
the
difference
of
how
you
know
it's
the
thought
process.
So
so
you
know
I
guess
it's
you
know
how
we
go
about
like
I
would
write
this
as
an
introvert
and
now
I'm
doing
it
as
an
extrovert
apparently,
and
that
makes
it
hard
for
me
to
you
know,
make
the
same
kind
of
suggestions
as
others.
So
I
don't
really
mean
to
you
know
cross
out
the
sentence
you
like,
but
it
you
know.
Definitely
it
helps
that
others
can
kind
of
pitch
in.
A
A
B
B
A
B
A
B
Think
it's
just
it
can
it
can
absorb
the
second
sentence
because
there's
not
much
we
want
to
put
in
the
second
sentence,
and
but
we
don't
want
to
just
delete
it
without
without
ensuring
the
sentiment
that
it
referred
to.
The
second
sentence
specialized
this
about
how
it
empowers
segments
of
audience.
So
I
just
wanted
to
preserve
that
sentiment.
B
B
A
B
A
Okay,
I
saw
what
this
documentation
useability
addresses
the
critical
role
of
documentation
and
open
source
projects
by
making
sure
the
various
that
various
leaders
can
understand
it.
Documentation
usability
contains
issues
of
structure,
content,
jargon
and
readability,
issues
with
the
goal
to
foster
understanding
for
the
widest
audience
of
contributors
to
the
project,
perfect.
A
We
have
one
minute
left
before
we
close
the
meeting
when
I
get
feedback
from
everyone
else.
What
what
do
you
think
about
this
description
for
our
new
documentation?
Usability
metric-
and
you
can
comment
in
here-
just
you
know,
open
a
+1
or
let
us
know
if
there's
something
missing
we're
about
to
close
the
meeting.
I
just
want
to
get
some
consensus
as
possible.
I
think.
B
Yeah
but
the
first
ones
lives
as
it's
the
use
of
the
Lutie
aspect.
The
second
one
is
is
the
thing
and
the
first
one
is
what
about
the
thing
right.
So
the
thing
is
documentation,
that's
the
broad
topic,
but
what
about
it?
It's
usability.
So
those
two
words
are
really
two
two
separate
concepts
that
relate
to
the
concept,
so
I
don't
know,
there's
a
better
way
to
have
to
refer
to
documentation.
