A
Often
earning
excellent
welcome
everyone
to
our
chaos,
diversity
and
inclusion,
and
working
group
meeting
it's
good
to
see
you
I
was
just
thinking
would
be
nice
if
we
can
get
back
into
the
routine
of
rotating
the
discussion
leaders
sure
we
did
that
a
while
ago
and
the
idea
I'm
I'm
sure
you
remember.
The
idea
is
that
at
the
end
of
the
meeting
or
at
some
point
we
elect
someone
to
send
out
a
reminder
before
the
meeting
and
then
run
the
meeting,
and
we
do
have
a
different
person
every
time.
A
A
A
C
That's
just
that's
this.
Yes,
exactly
what
that's
related
to
this,
so
we
so
I
think
I
was
saying
maybe
to
to
Don,
like
universities
are
set
up
to
do
this,
we
would
have
to
submit
an
IRB
protocol.
Yeah
actually
work
with
this
data,
so
we
do
have
an
ethics
board.
It
takes
a
look
at
this
data
and
we
actually
have
to
make
a
proposal
to
talk
about
how
we
would
receive
the
data.
You
know
the
whole
routine
and
handle
the
data
yeah.
A
C
C
C
B
C
C
Data
and
I'm
gonna
put
together
an
IRB
protocol
proposal
here,
just
because
cities
are
kind
of
set
up
to
handle,
as
you
know,
the
ethical
issues
around
data
and
if
you
would
like
to
be
part
of
the
team
or
get
on
that
you're
here
in
the
university.
Just
let
me
know
and
I
can
include
you
on
the
proposal.
Okay,.
C
C
The
team
at
the
Linux
Foundation
that,
if
they're
using
the
chaos
metrics
in
the
surveys
that
they
somehow
brand
it
a
little
bit
in
the
surveys,
I
don't
know
how
what
that
would
look
like,
but
I
think
getting
the
chaos
logo
or
the
chaos
brand.
As
part
of
that
would
be
a
real
big
win.
The
work
that
all
of
you
have
done.
C
C
A
I,
don't
know
how
it
will
done,
but
maybe
as
part
of
the
question
we
can
have,
like
parentheses,
chaos
metric
and
then
a
link
to
our
definition.
So
I
was
thinking.
B
A
B
C
C
B
C
E
E
The
discussion
I've
had
with
Anita
has
been
specifically
focused,
not
about
discovering
diversity
about
discovering
the
perception
of
the
people
about
how
inclusive
the
community
is.
I
see
it's
not
about
bringing
the
numbers
that
they
they
have,
but
we
are
gonna.
Do
this
and
somehow
the
perception
people
have
which
is
yeah,
that's
the
main
reason
why
we
are
having
this
service.
Okay,.
F
E
C
E
No,
in
this
case
is,
is
different,
so
the
goal
should
be
nice.
Not
always
open.
Extract
in
the
report
was
mostly
focusing
on
the
different
probes
and
then
we
realize
well.
There
are
other
areas
that
we
can
where
we
can
put
the
information.
As
you
know,
the
websites
are
there
and
we
have
the
muscle
doors
or
the
technical
leaders
or
similar.
C
E
Us
going
and
putting
information
from
different
data
sources
in
this
way
we
are
asking
the
SF
community
about
what
they
think
or
they
feel
then
we'll
try
to
cover
certain
areas
and
mostly
focus
on
inclusivity.
Perception.
Well,
I
mean
the
the
surveys
are
still,
they
need
to
be
in
design
and
out
of
distinction,
which
is
still
a
work
in
progress,
but
they
all
sound
different.
So
in
this
case,
most
of
the
work
is
going
to
be
qualitative.
From
that
point
of
view,
asking
people
why
Linda
penny
stock
was
mostly
quantitative:
okay,
okay,.
C
E
C
C
D
A
C
C
A
I
highly
recommend
just
joining
this,
even
for
a
short
time.
While
this
project
is
ongoing,
okay
and
when
I
was
talking
with
what
one
thing
we
still
need
to
figure
out
just
what
license
this
will
all
be
under
and
that's
part
of
the
legal
review
that
is
currently
ongoing.
Okay
at
the
Apache
Software
Foundation,
okay,
but
it
Chris
wants
an
open
source.
A
C
A
A
B
A
A
A
F
To
get
through
the
transcription,
so
I
yeah
I
recorded
all
of
the
talks
it
we're
done
at
chaos,
fun,
I'm,
still
working
through
that
I
taking
me
a
little
bit
longer
than
I
anticipated.
But,
yes,
I
am
working
through
that
I'm
going
to
be
transcribing
the
talks
and
then
working
the
transcriptions
into
I.
Don't
know
yet.
If
it's
going
to
be
a
single
blog
or
if
it
will
actually
be
multiple
blogs
and
what
makes
sense
there.
B
B
F
F
A
F
A
A
F
A
From
that
that's
six
dollars
for
an
hour.
A
F
E
F
It
I
thought
that
was
fantastic,
hey.
A
Okay,
so
excellent,
so
shall
we
go
on
to
issue
121
the
last
link
in
the
media
minutes
and
work
on
the
document
that
is
lit
here?
No
important
and
dawn
I
know
you
have
to
leave
soon,
so
I
just
wanted
to
wish
you
a
good
afternoon
thanks.
A
Worked
through
the
question
and
we
decided
to
on
the
last
one
which,
because
it
was
most
similar
to
the
ones
we
already
have
released,
then
we
already
worked
through
the
description
and
we
worked
through
the
objectives.
One
of
the
comments
last
week
was
that
this
onboarding
metric
right
now
is
under
leadership
and
the
way
we
described
it
and
the
objectives
we
had
there's
not
a
lot
of
leadership
in
them.
C
A
C
A
A
Friction
log
also
has
an
entry
down
in
the
qualitative
section.
I,
don't
know
what
a
friction
log
is,
but
a
friction
log
is
like
you
keep
track
of
any
issues
you
have.
So
it's
a
personal
experience
of
someone
trying
to
contribute
and
to
keep
track
of
ok.
These
are
all
the
issues.
I
ran
into
Houston
user
interface
design
just
to
keep
track
of
where
the
user
interface
is
not
working
and
have
a
have
a
contextual
setting
for
it.
E
In
terms
of
events,
if
you
compare
to
others
an
example
here
would
be
that
if
we
go
for
comments
in
issues
versus
commits,
probably
the
number
of
comments,
if
we
are
ate
everything,
it's
gonna
be
like
10,
X,
1
extra
magnitude.
If
you
compare
one
to
each
other
or
email,
this
Purser's,
this
kind
of
thing.
So
there
are
data
sources
that
are
kind
of
telling
us
hey.
A
E
E
E
Yeah
so
an
example
when
we
were
doing
the
mentorship
analysis
for
the
penny
stock
diversity
project
people
tend
to
have
more
activity
in
the
mainland
list
and
if
compared
to
to
the
comet
activity.
So
it
seems
that
participating
in
the
mailing
list
is
easier
for
an
iteration
or
more
verbose.
At
least.
D
A
A
C
F
E
F
D
F
E
E
E
So
if
we
imagine
that
we
can
trace
activity
in
Google
Docs,
we
my
team
that
we
can
trace
activity,
improve
request,
even
the
changes
that
we
have
to
do
it,
although
all
of
the
Google
Docs
the
comments
and
so
on,
most
of
us
would
have
much
more
activity
and
in
compared
to
in
other
data
sources.
Yeah.
D
E
A
The
conversion
formula
is
very
fuzzy:
I
agree
with
you,
I
include
it
in
resources.
The
link
to
mike
mike
wakes
work
on
this
I'll
put
it
up
at
the
top
is
long,
and
so
we
have
two
options
now
one
is
we
go
into
the
details
on
how
to
do
a
conversion
funnel
and
the
other
option
is
we
leave
it,
as
is
until
someone
actually
wants
to
implement
it,
and
then
we
take
that
feedback
to
improve
the
metric
later.
E
So
my
comment
here
would
be
that
this
way
collecting
data
about
contributions
during
boarding
would
be
so
we
have
this
conversion
funnel,
which
is
this
inverted
pyramid,
basically,
would
be
like
what
are
the
two
data
sources
on
the
top,
but
are
having
that
big
attraction
of
of
people
to
the
community.
So
basically,
those
are
the
easier
to
at
least
from
my
point
of
view,
to
participate
that
so
then
those
are
the
ones
that
may
help
to
have
this
low
bar
here.
A
C
A
C
C
C
That
seems
super
complex,
because
I
think,
as
Daniel
was
pointing
out
that
whitest
part,
there
are
certain
things
you
probably
wanna,
look
at
at
the
narrower
they're
different
things,
it's
a
whole
series
of
and
then
also
like,
being
able
to
articulate
that
these
metrics
at
these
different
levels
are
actually
related
to
one
another
that
as
people
step
through
different
stages.
That's
all
part
of
that.
E
E
E
C
E
Of
the
colors
just
imagine
each
of
the
colors
have
different
data
sources,
whatever
they
are,
and
then
we
realize
that
in
these
specific
period
we
have
this
branch
of
trade
activity
right.
So
it
seems
that
that
data
source
authorities
it's
been
really
attractive
for
the
community
and
for
perhaps
newcomer,
so
we
can
have
the
same
similar
stuff
from
newcomer.
So
the
point
is:
if
we
have
this
big
amount
of
participation
and
attraction
here,
it
seems
like
something
easy
to
participate.
Something
easy
to
deal
with
there
is
this
somehow
helping
in
the
onboarding
process.
E
E
Data
sources
yeah:
this
is
this:
is
this
affected
I
thought
so
don't
think
that
much
about
it,
but
it's
it's
that
suddenly
we
can
see
like
a
big
champ
here,
a
big
trend
so
what's
going
on-
and
this
is
just
counting
people
participating
in
each
of
the
several
channels
that
we
may
have
for
interaction,
it's
like
if
we
had
no
openers
like
channel
and
suddenly
we
realize
that
it's
like
worse
than
me,
think
we
need
to
have
for
for
attracting
newcomer,
because
that
something
is
everyone
is
aware
of
this.
Everyone
is
using.
E
So
I'm
not
just
a
question
we
may
have
from
20
timings.
Okay,
Linux
kernel
is
using
mailing
list
for
the
code
review
process
and
this
sounds
like
something
not
a
lot
water
right.
So
you
need
some
time
to
understand
how
this
goes.
First
understand
how
to
produce
something
useful
in
the
community
and
the
other
is
how
to
send
a
code
review
process
because
they
are
using
email,
email,
a
mailing
list.
We.
A
E
Change
the
data
source
they
are
using.
Can
we
reduce
the
barrier
for
newcomers?
I
don't
know,
but
something
we
can
we
can
discuss
on.
Perhaps
we
can
try
looking
for
a
specific
use
cases
in
certain
communities,
but
this
is
this
is
what
I
wanted
to
traverse
here
like
if
we
can
look
for
a
motivated
point
of
view,
like
this
big
jump
activity,
make
this
right
or
this
yellow
it's
something
that
it's
something
useful
for
the
community.
So.
C
Can
you,
okay,
so
I
understand
that
makes
sense
so
in
terms
of
the
document?
What
on
quantitative?
What
is
that
most
related
to
for
you
which
up
deeds?
Is
it
a
country
conversion
funnel
thing,
I
understand
what
you're
talking
about
and
I
can
articulate
I'm
just
trying
to
see
where
it
might
locate
the
best
yeah.
E
Probably
probably
the
first
one,
because
what
I
was
thinking
about
the
conversion
funnel
is,
if
we
have
this
inverted
pyramid
right,
which
is
the
final
airport
for
the
initial
places
to
contribute
and
so
on,
then
we
have
like
the
developers
or
core
developers
at
the
end,
at
the
top
of
our
pyramid,
inverted
pyramid.
What
we'll
have
is
this
low
barrier
data
sources?
It's
like
the
place
to
look
for
these
ok.
C
E
Remember,
for
instance,
an
example
is
this
talk
by
Kai
Martin
in
Autodesk
how
they
were
able
to
force
their
collaboration
in
Autodesk,
because
they
were
these
traffic
to
you
she's
like
suddenly,
they
realized
they
were
attracted
to
what
not
they
realize,
but
they
started
to
use
certain
tool
and
it
was
useful
to
say
hey.
We
are
now
collaborating
from
suddenly
everyone
is
producing
things.
So
probably
the
number
of
messages
increased
a
lot
right,
interesting.
C
F
C
C
From
from
what
you
were
describing
you're,
just
you're,
just
trying
to
get
that
image
of,
is
there
activity
or
unexpected
high
activity
in
data
sources?
What
I'll
call
communication
channels
just
but
in
these
data
sources,
and
is
there
anything
that
that
can
tell
us-
and
it
might
be
able
to
tell
us
that
this
was
a
data
source
or
a
communication
channel,
but
a
lot
a
lot
of
people
to
just
kind
of
enter
the
conversation
relatively
quickly?
C
How
we
convert
how
you
take
that
I
think
it
was
a
pink
pink,
pink
bars
that
you
were
showing
how
we
convert
that
in
this
conversion
funnel
into
long-term
commitment.
Is
it
next?
The
next
question
but
I
think
that's
what
we're
getting
at
okay,
yep.
A
Yeah,
that's
good,
so
next
time
we
can
focus
solely
on
success.
Metrics
yep
I
do
think.
There
are
many
things
in
here
that
in
and
of
themselves
are
metrics
that
we
might
want
to
tease
out
as
separate
metric
pages
in
the
future,
but
until
we
have
more
time
more
experience
with
them,
I
think
it's
okay
to
have
something
like
conversion
funnel
with
some
ideas
and
then,
when
someone
actually
goes
out
and
implements
a
conversion
funnel
with
metrics,
then
we
can
branch
out
create
a
new
page
for
this
yep
by
itself.
That.
