Description
Bi-weekly CHAOSS Diversity & Inclusion Work Group Meeting
B
C
A
A
You
know
any
prep
that
that
needs
to
happen
for
CLS
this
weekend
and
our
and
our
panel,
just
so
that
and
I
do
what
I
need
to
do
there
and
then
an
open-source
summit
we
had
been
our
sessions
were
accepted,
but
we
had
been
asked
to
to
combine
and
to
invite
number
one.
I
I
figured
out
that
Emma
was
missing
when
I
looked
I
figured
out.
A
She's
got
some
data
that
she
has
so
she
could,
you
know,
include
some
of
the
data
that
she
has
there
in
terms
of
studying
communities,
but
this
would
be
the
one
where
we
talk
about
data
from
the
open,
still
ongoing,
OpenStack
diversity,
research,
the
data
that
emma
has
the
data
that
Molly
has
and
then
talk
about
our
work
in
in
this
group
and
and
towards
the
join
us
and
get
involved.
Does
that
ring
a
bell
that
session.
A
A
D
Can
I'd
like
to
tackle
CLS
that
that's
like
Saturday
or
Sunday
and
I'm,
not
sure
I
was
trying
this
into
Nicole
to
get
a
better
understanding
of
like
how
a
session
might
be
run.
So
I
wrote
this
up
half
an
hour
ago
just
so.
They
think
that
I'm
sensitive
to
criticism,
I
would
cuz
I'm,
fine
and
I
think
Danielle
you're
there
Shawn
they're,
Nichole
and
Anita,
and
we
have
45
minutes
and
the
prompt
from
them
is
to
do
an
introduction.
So
maybe
I'll
quickly
share
my
screen.
I
possibly
do
that.
D
Do
you
see
the
Google
Doc
and
you
looks
like
someone's
in
the
Google?
Okay?
Sometimes
when
I'm
sharing
my
slips
frames,
I,
get
it
wrong.
Okay!
So
like
the
idea
that,
where
it's
a
history
of
chaos,
which
maybe
Shawn
or
someone
could
talk
about
the
history
of
DNI
research,
so
I
think
this
is
like
a
combination
of
Nicole,
myself
and
Anita.
D
Like
I
said
I
just
paint
this
up,
they
would
give
a
quick
introduction
to
the
idea
of
the
goal.
Metrics
and
maybe
they
are
this
is
maybe
we
can
get
some
language
from
you
or
we
can
just
copy
from
the
text
and
then
basically,
they
will
only
have
45
minutes
so
like
somehow.
I
was
thinking
that,
like
what
I
wanted
to
ask
you,
what
would
you
want
like
uses
in
this
group?
D
D
The
thing
we
want
to
come
out
with
is
really
what
really
resonates
with
people
like
in
the
work
they're
doing
right,
so
people
might
really
focus
in
one
way
or
another
how
it
would
help
their
work,
so
I
think
knowing
being
able
to
hear
people
articulate
that
this
work
is,
it
could
help
them
in
some
way.
It
would
be
I
think
important
for
us
to
know
what
existing
research
or
expertise
we
should
consult.
D
So
this
is
really
big,
but
yet
people
we
usually
have
ideas
about
things
that
might
be
missing
or
that
they're
doing
what
tools
existing
practices.
This
is
kind
of
like
part
of
our
goals,
right
as
eventually
we'll
be
identifying
those
things.
So
maybe
it's
early
heads-up
about
things,
people
are
doing
and
then
I
just
threw
us
in
here
about
ethics,
consent
and
privacy.
I,
don't
know
that
like
it
almost
feels
too
big,
so
pause
there.
What
what?
What
is
missing
here
that
you
would
want
to
get
out
of
this
session?
C
Mother
you
mind
going
to
the
top
of
the
document
auction.
Please
thank
you
to
your
question.
My
question
is:
I
have
another
question:
what
do
you
want
to
get
from
this
from
this
meeting,
so
we
can
get
perhaps
to
attract
more
people
difficult
to
attract
more
to
attract,
perhaps
more
knowledge
body
of
knowledge
in
terms
of
having
more
experts
in
the
field
to
invite
people
to
our
bit
with
limited
or
the
monthly
meetings
educator.
D
D
C
That's
the
that's,
that's
okay!
So
basically
it's
like
we
wish
from
my
point
of
view.
We
should
decide
what's
our
main
goal
holder
and
then
we
can
have
some
discussion.
Basically,
the
unconference
session
will
bring.
Hopefully,
people
interested
in
the
field
will
discussed
about
this,
so
I
remember,
for
instance,
last
year
or
a
couple
of
years
ago
that
there
were
some
people
from
the
from
the
army
that
they
were
trying
to
to
build
welcoming
communities
within
the
army.
C
There
were,
of
course,
a
lot
of
people
coming
from
the
open
source
world
and
there
were
some
others,
but
like
acting
as
community
managers
in
the
sense
of
well,
we
I'm
working
in
this
company.
We
have
this
this
gadget
and
we
want
to
create
community
around
it
so
how
to
be
welcoming
and
and
so
on,
their
job.
This
is
this
is
the
kind
of
people
that
I
would
say
we
will
find
there,
so
we
can
have
a
really
open
discussion
around
around
topic.
B
From
from
our
perspective,
I
think
these
are
good
goals,
especially
getting
more
input,
because
that
is
part
of
our
validation
process
and
making
sure
that
we
have
all
the
metrics
that
we
want
to
represent
from
user
or
from
a
participant
perspective.
Who
wants
to
end
our
session?
If
I
look
on
the
schedule,
it
says
establishing
metrics
that
matter
for
diversity
and
inclusion.
I,
think
a
goal
of
this
session
should
be
to
talk
about
these
metrics
that
they
that
exist,
and
so
how
would
this
be
helpful?
B
D
D
It's
really
hard
to
have
like
a
discussion
about
everything
with
the
big
group.
So
there's
there's
two
ways:
we
could
do
that
as
allowing
people
to
self
like
using
I.
Think
we
should
use
the
like
these
and
I
can
change
it
to
numbers
to
be
clear.
These
one,
through
seven
type
of
like
as
conversation,
prompts
and
asking
people
to.
D
We
could
do
like
a
World,
Cafe
style
or
basically,
if
I
sit
it
in
a
place
where
I'm
just
gonna
talk
about
events
of
communication
and
Shawn
is
in
a
place
where
he's
gonna
talk
about
leadership
and
governance,
and
then
people
sort
of
rotate
every
few
minutes.
Like
that's
one
way,
we
could
do
it
and
the
goal
of
like
capturing
as
many
ideas
that
people
talk
about
and
ask
people
to
take
sticky
notes
and
we
can
capture
those
flustered
and
later
or
I
could
just
be
self-select
like
we're.
D
You
know
who
wants
to
talk
about
events-
and
you
know,
and
at
the
end
of
either
of
those
are
being
some
sort
of
share
out
and
key
takeaways
from
that
group,
and
we
would
I'm
gonna
take
we
could
give
them
prompts
like
this.
So
for
each
topic
talk
about
what's
important
in
the
work
you're
doing.
How
would
this
help
you?
What
do
you
know
that
you
could
contribute
what
something
like
that
again?
I
wrote
this
half
an
hour
ago,
so
some
sort
of
discussion
format
like
that?
Yes,
no
someone
has
a
better
idea.
C
The
useful
just
this
dimension
here,
another
another
thing
that
the
usual
way
this
work
last
time
I
was
there
was
that
there
were
I
mean
if
there
are
a
lot
of
people
idea
is
to
give
small
amount
of
time
into
each
of
them
and
at
least
do
self
present
say
I'm
interested
in
this
topic
or
I
play
in
this
way.
I
am
here
just
to
learn
short,
at
least
we
know
we
know
about
them.
So
that's
another
10
minutes
at
least
even
if
we
are
quite
far
see.
D
D
A
Then
this
is
open
stacks,
but
you
know
for
just
across
communities
where
we
are
and
then
measure
against
that
to
ensure
that
we've
made
progress,
but
to
do
that
I
think
requires
us
to
put
together
this
master
list
and
so
I
think
it
might
be
valuable
to
bring
this
back
around
I
think
it
might
be
valuable
to
also,
in
addition,
getting
their
input
on
what
we've
already
put
together
to
then
also
get
from
them.
What
are
you
measuring?
Is
there
any
there?
Are
there
any
things
that
are
not
in
this?
A
A
D
C
In
any
cases,
just
to
mention
that
we
are
our
our
slightly
says,
2
p.m.
remember,
so
there
is
a
pretty
lot
and
even
its
before
land,
so
what
we
can
do
it?
Basically,
we
shared
each
other
in
the
different.
Let's
say
areas
that
we
are
interested
in
and
we
participate
in
one
of
those
and
then
live
in
the
land.
We
can
meet
again
all
together
and
say
that
it
makes
sense
a
summary
we
have
produced
for
for
our
unconference.
C
D
Ok,
maybe
I'll
just
take
that
away
now
and
I
don't
take
up
any
more
time,
but
I
can
work
on
that
based
on
feedback
and
share
it
out
again
before
Saturday
mm-hmm.
C
Yeah
basically
I
agree
with
the
with
the
key
questions.
Would
you
say
that
if
we
print
the
current
set
of
called
question
metrics,
we
have
answer
with
the
people
there?
Would
it
be
useful
for
them
or
maybe
no
I.
A
Think
I
think
it
will
and
here's
why
right
the
only
time
I
developed
a
marketing
plan,
what
happened
right,
developing
something
where
I
want
input
I
want
us
to
develop
some
something.
It
always
helps
to
put
a
straw,
men
in
front
of
them
or
a
sample
a
sample
in
front
of
them
of
what
I've
already
developed,
because
then
it
helps
to
jog
them
right
and
to
there's
something
there
that
it.
A
It
starts
the
discussion.
It
starts
us
thinking
as
a
team
together.
I
think
it
does.
It
does
make
sense
to
to
you
know
number
one
start
with:
what
are
we
trying
to
accomplish
number
two
start
with
our
sample
and
what
you
know
our
master
and
that
we've
been
working
on
and
asked
them
for
their
input,
and
then
maybe
third
is:
is
there
anything
here
that
you?
You
know
that
you
measure
that
we
haven't
that
we
haven't
incorporated
in
in
what
we've
been
working
on.
D
D
A
A
You
know
and
pull
them
in
and
pull
them
along
with
us,
but
yeah,
basically
yeah
I'd,
restate
case.
Why
are
we
here?
What's
the
goal,
you
know,
and
you
know
in
a
way
that
resonates
with
them,
but
I
and
I
also
to
build
on
what
you
were
saying
there.
I
also
agree
with.
If
you
give
them
too
much
information,
then
it
almost
bogged
down
the
conversation
and
we
waited,
and
we
don't
have
enough
time
for
that.
B
C
D
C
A
A
A
From
community
surveys
in
four
different
years
and
I
said:
okay:
well,
that's
that's
good
synergy
to
include
her
in
this
data
and
research
portion
of
things
right.
She
obviously
won't
be
able
to
speak
to
this
workgroup
and
the
and
the
work,
the
progress
that
we've
made
here,
but
she
would
be
able
to
participate
in
the
data
and
research
part
of
the
session.
A
Okay,
okay,
so
what
I
will
do
is
to
s'posed
in
a
shared
dock.
What
I've
written
is
the
updated
abstract
so
that
we
have
an
opportunity
to
input
into
you
guys
have
an
opportunity
to
input
into
that
and
then
and
then
I'll
reach
out
to
Molly
and
I'll
get
the
prep
started
for
that
session
and
I'll
start
a
and
I'm
start
to
input
into
that
shared
dot.
What
Emma,
because
I
like
Emma
your
approach
to
prepping
for
the
CLS
panel
I'll
use
the
same
message
to
start
us
prepping
for
the
peel
it
open
source
summit.
C
Then
just
mention
that
we
call
a
nice
and
proportional
to
the
pin
source
Sammy
Europe,
which
is
taking
place
in
in
October
related
to
the
mentorship
programs
in
OpenStack
and
the
Linux
Foundation.
So
let's
see
we
get
accepted
and
then
we
have
the
cave
con
and
so
on,
but
it's
already
there
and
in
progress.
So
are
we
missing
another
meeting?
We
would
like
to
talk
about.
A
A
D
Yes,
I
could
probably
do
both
the
best.
A
little
bit
of
you
haven't
been
before
it's
a
little
bit
about
different
formats,
always
like
fun,
active
lots
of
post-it
note
I
talked
to
somebody
from
the
dial
Association
I.
Don't
talk
to
you
as
well
doing
something
around
gender
that
we
may
collaborate
if
they
were
interested.
So
if
you're
interested
in
that
I
can
help
basically.
D
So
which
mozilla
festival
the
mozilla?
Oh
the
mozilla,
oh
okay,
yeah,
it's
the
weekend
off,
so
the
open
source,
simonetta
brass,
like
the
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday,
something
like
that
and
the
mozilla
festival
is
Friday
Saturday
Sunday.
So
if
you're
in
Europe,
you
really
should
go
to
both
and
moss.
Fest
is
awesome.
D
When
we
can
talk
about
it,
but
Moz
Fest
is
I,
think
you're
right,
it's
a
great
place
to
prototype
things
versus
like
presents
things
and
there's
like
this
year,
there's
a
whole
floor
like
the
queer
floor
like
there's
all
that
are
there
that
can
that
are
the
diverse
people
that
we're
looking
to
empower,
and
so
maybe
it's
like
prototyping
people's
experiences
and
understanding
late,
I
think
there's
something
probably
slightly
more.
D
Dynamic
that
we
could
do
there
that
would
fit
in
with
the
festival
better
than
a
tutorial
presentation.
I
think
if
we
didn't
amazing
that
I'm
suggesting
this,
because
I
just
know
how
they
accept
applications
are
more
about
interactive
prototyping
people
get
involved,
we're
just
people
are
taught,
but
I
can
I
can
totally
help.
With
that
you
know
we
can
there's
so
many
diverse
people
at
this
event
that
you
know
gaming
there,
instead
of
thing
about
working
with
community.
That's
what
I'm
saying
think
about
work
with
the
people.
C
C
C
Okay,
no
comments,
let's
go
so
well.
The
discussion
here
is
that
basically
we
need
more
people
maintaining
and
reviewing
patches.
So
the
initial
proposal
well,
some
weeks
ago,
I
proposed
the
care
or
cottage,
but
he
didn't
accept
it.
So
well,
I'm,
still
there
alone,
okay
Eric
come
on
and
we
were.
We
were
internally
discussing
about
having
em
as
maintainer,
because
I
was
kind
of
acting
as
a
bottleneck
during
the
last
weeks,
and
it
would
be
really
helpful
and
basically
well
I.
C
D
C
A
D
C
Okay,
so
so,
basically,
we
have
to
send
them
probably
an
email
to
the
Middle
East
and
reflect
this,
as
said
in
the
wiki,
and
we're
done
so
right.
Well,
our
topic
cover
well,
the
last
thing:
I
don't
know.
If
we
want
to
move,
there
is
basically
to
keep
rolling
with
the
matrix
discussion.
So
what
do
you
think?
C
Does
it
make
sense
or
perhaps
I
wish
it
was
even
wondering
if,
as
part
of
us
are
gonna,
be
in
oh
come
on
in
at
the
CLS,
if
it
makes
sense
to
have
some
informal
meeting
there
for
an
hour
or
some
minutes
there
so
and
keep
working
there?
So
what
do
you
think
I
know
your
can
laugh
you're
gonna
do
you're
not
going
to
be
there,
but
I
know
I'd.
B
C
D
You
know,
I
can't
figure
out
how
to
download
the
one
I
sought
to
go
through
with
her,
but
to
basically
create
a
page
that
could
be
read
to
go
to
the
the
dashboards
community
staff
rooms
Cabana
and
go
to
the
diversity
laying
what
would
it
show
so
she's
we've
got
like
seven
panels
that
she's
proposing
governance
recognition,
and
so
then
we're
gonna
be
building
out
each
of
those
panels
and
it's
just
a
prototype
like
it's,
not
gonna.
You
might
be
pulling
data
from
a
flat
file
or
something
like
that,
but
just
to
start
talking.
D
B
C
I
was
wondering
Emma,
so
yes,
I
mean
you
know
that
we
already
think
you
Anna
and
this
technology.
So
if
it's
any
help
or
anything,
please
let
me
know
if
I
can
help
in
somehow
and
what
I
can
do
is
if,
if
I
don't
remember,
please
remind
me
on
on
Saturday
or
Sunday
when
we
meet,
but
we
have
some
specific
visualizations
that
are
open
source
as
well.
They
are
not
part
of
qivana
money
like
you
are
installation,
but
you.
D
D
She
can't
learn
fast
enough,
basically
so
I'll,
let
her
know
that
I
mean
we
have
some
questions
like
you
know.
We
know
we'd
like
to.
We
don't
know
what
the
tool
can
do
as
far
as
like
reading
a
github
repo.
Can
it
tell
me
if
it's
got
a
code
of
conduct
file?
Can
it
tell
me
the
last
time-
or
it
can't
tell
me
something
about
comments
like
I,
don't
know
what
the
tool
can
actually
read
in
a
github
repository,
so
that
would
be
one
that
can
be
able,
like
information
on
that.
That
would
be
step.
E
E
So
this
is
an
issue
that
came
up
yesterday
in
the
monthly
chaos
meeting,
to
really
kind
of,
reassure
or
confirm
that
these
metrics
aren't
for
the
things
that
are
being
looked
at
are
just
kind
of
pulled
from
the
sky,
but
there
there's
actually
some
empirics
or
some
rigor
behind
why
these
and
the
impact
that
they
can
have
in
the
world,
so
I
know
you're
already
doing
this.
So
I
just
think
continuing
to
highlight
that
the
rigor
behind
the
work
that
this
being
done
is
really
super
important.
That's
all
Matt.
D
E
Have
this
like
standard?
No,
and
that's
a
great
point,
no
there's
not
and
I
think
this
is
kind
of
what
came
from
the
meeting
yesterday.
So
this
is
something
that
I
would
that
I
personally
would
really
like
to
take
on
whether
it's
or
the
growth
maturity,
whatever
work
group
it's
for,
but
if
there
can
be
a
standard
way
that
helps
kind
of
elevate,
the
rigor
behind
the
work
or
explicate
the
rigor.
It
could
be
very
helpful
not
only
for
the
working
groups,
but
also
for
the
public
that
sees
this
work.
I.
