Description
CHAOSS Weekly Meetup - August 14th, 2018
A
A
A
That
an
alias
all
right
cool.
Well,
as
you
know,
this
is
kind
of
our
informal
talk.
We
had
our
more
formal.
Last
week,
we
had
some
great
updates
from
the
different
working
groups.
I
think
you
know
kind
of.
From
my
perspective,
some
of
the
things
are
to
continue
to
kind
of
align.
The
work
practices
between
the
two
I
know
that
they
may
not
be
identical,
but
if
we
can
get
some
consistency
between
the
work
groups
in
terms
of
how
they
represent
information,
that
would
be
I.
Think,
from
my
own
perspective,
extremely
helpful
I
think
I.
B
Think
there
was
I
went
ahead.
We
have
the
growth,
maturity
and
decline
meeting
tomorrow,
I
went
ahead
and
followed
I
can't
remember
whose
advice
it
was
that
Tom's,
but
another
person
who
may
be
on
this
call
maybe
not
to
crater
I
created
a
branch
off
the
main
metrics
repository
for
growth,
yeah
and
I.
B
Think
you
know,
as
I
was
trying
it
because
we're
using
the
we're
using
the
chaos
metrics
repo
to
produce
the
reports
by
interpreting
the
markdown,
the
brutalities
are
which
metrics
are
implemented
reports
so
when
I
went
to
try
to
integrate,
for
example,
growth,
maturity
and
declines
changes
with
diversity
and
inclusion.
That
was
actually
you
know,
not
a
simple
undertaking,
as
has
been
anticipated,
and
those
of
us
who
work
with
these
repos
might
have
as
well.
So
I
think
you
know
I
think
I
do
think.
B
A
B
A
B
A
C
B
So
aye-aye
there
was
a
email
that
hey
soos,
initiated
thoughtfully
last
week
and
I
responded
to
the
pieces
that
I'm
responsible
for
with
regards
to
logistics
and
I
wasn't
sure
if
there
was
from
the
email
it
wasn't.
Certain
I
wasn't
clear,
but
I
think
maybe
there's
some
folks
who
want
to
be
there.
The
day
before
I,
along
with
me,
I
plan
to
check
the
site
out
in
the
afternoon
before
I
think
midday.
B
A
American
yeah
yeah.
In
all
likelihood
we
are
then
I'll
see
you
in
Dallas,
yeah
I'll
see
you
at
Ellis
and
I
got
Kate
from
the
LF
reached
out
and
we
have
nametags.
That's.
A
B
A
C
A
B
A
I,
like
that
kind
of
discussion,
all
right
cool
anything
else
on
that,
no,
that's
all
pretty
good.
We
have
a
bunch
of
panels
that
we're
doing
across
chaos,
count
and
open
source
of
North
America.
We're
kind
of
putting
those
together
right
now,
I
think
there's
three
different
panels
across
those
five
days.
A
B
A
B
B
A
Bring
up
Google
summary
code,
key
no
you're
almost
done
or
are
you
done.
D
A
B
A
B
B
A
A
The
Linux
Foundation
is
accepting
there's
a
little
Summer
of
Code
money,
so
we
have
potential
travel
dollars
to
go
to
the
mentor
summit
and
we
also
have
I
think
some
some
dollars,
just
in
terms
of
like
they're,
almost
like
thank
you
to
the
mentor
dollars
that
we
can
use
in
a
variety
of
different
ways,
so
anybody
kind
of
we
have
a
little
bit
of
cash
now.
So
if
anybody
wants
to
do
something
with
it,
you
know
what
I
mean
like
we
need
a
t-shirt,
t-shirts
or
stickers
or
help
with
a
conference,
or
something
like
that.
A
E
Have
a
question,
so
we
were
looking
for
call
disability
to
the
mailing
list.
We
were
supposed
to
have
at
some
point.
Cuz
I
was
I
was
looking
for
well
Olivia
from
it.
Terry
I
was
looking
for
for
the
place
for
care,
scorning
Brussels
Mitzi,
and
it
was
already
taken
and
we
are
looking
for
a
closed
place,
and
it
seems
that
there
are
submitted
rooms
just
at
the
other
side
of
the
road
in
the
same
place.
But
the
paintings
were
so
I
didn't
know
if
we
already
have
the
mailing
list
and
if
so
anything
there
yeah.
E
A
Let
me
I'm,
would
you
rather
do
that?
Or
would
you
rather
have
an
actual
email
cuz
I
can
I
just
did
not
send
Kate
an
email,
I
mean
I,
think
an
actual
email
that
would
be
like
chaos,
con
or
chaos.
Events
at
lists
that
Linux
Foundation
one
that's
a
little
off
the
main
list.
Oh
because
I
hear
there's
a
lot
of
details
that
have
to
get
covered
those
details
off
the
main
list.
Whatever
your
thoughts
are
mm-hmm.
E
C
C
We
have
devised
an
ingenious
plan
of
moving
everyone
over.
It
involves
shutting
down
the
old
list
and
setting
up
the
new
one
and
when
I
say,
shut
down
the
old
list
I
mean
just
set
it
into
everything,
gets
moderated
and
when
you
try
to
send
to
it,
you
get
automatic
reply
saying:
oh,
we
actually
moved.
C
A
C
Yes,
good
job
trying
to
say
that
I
would
like
to
get
this
done
before
Kaos
Khan
and
over
source,
and
so
when
we
recruit
new
people,
they
all
sign
up
for
the
new
list.
A
F
Shan
I
will
be
I,
won't
be
at
the
I,
won't
be
at
the
meeting
tomorrow.
The
GMD
meeting
tomorrow
look
I
know
we
had
this.
There
was
going
to
be
some
discussion
about
the
whole
request
that
I
left.
B
F
B
C
And
then,
as
you're
adopting
the
new
structure,
maybe
you
saw
last
week
at
the
diversity
and
inclusion
meeting
we
discussed
documenting
the
structure
and
the
rules
for
how
we
arrived
at
the
structure.
I,
don't
know
if
you
saw
the
email
that
I
posted
to
the
list
after
we're
dead
yeah
just
take
a
look
at
that
email
again:
okay,
I
will.
B
C
A
Then
dumb
one
kind
of
one
last
thing:
that's
on
my
mind,
I
think.
After
a
as
we
approach
the
Year
mark
of
the
Kaos
project,
I
think
we've
spent
a
lot
of
time
leading
our
categories
established.
Getting
the
just
people,
people
engaged
in
people
involved
doing
a
lot
of
outreach
through
conferences.
We've
been
doing
a
lot
of
stuff
over
the
course
of
the
year.
One
of
the
things
that's
kind
of
gonna,
be
on
my
mind.
A
Moving
forward
is
is
particularly
now
that
we
have
the
the
DNI
work
group
doing
some
awesome
work
and
the
growth
maturity
and
decline.
We're
doing
some
awesome
work.
It's
trying
to
start
understanding
how
these
metrics
live
in
the
world
and
so
understanding
how
say
organizations
or
community
managers
are
actually
using
the
metrics
to
make
decisions
and
what
those
decisions
are.
A
That's
kind
of
on
my
year,
you're
I
think
we're
starting
to
get
some
really
awesome,
work
done
and
understanding
how
these
things
live
in
the
world
and
actually
affect
changes,
kind
of
stuff,
I
think
maybe
I,
don't
know.
Those
are
my
thoughts
right
off
the
bat
and
this
one
just
takes
a
look.
You
know
I
yeah.
B
A
And
we're
gonna
have
to
kind
of
come
up
with
a
way
to
kind
of
consistently
tell
that
story.
You
know
it's
not
just
like
this.
One
metric
is
used
this
way
by
this
group,
and
this
one
metric
was
used
this
way
by
this
group.
We
don't
just
have
like
a
it's,
not
just
a
lot
of
noise
on
the
different
ways
that
different
communities
or
different
project
managers
or
different
organizations
are
using
particular
metrics
to
affect
change.
C
C
A
A
Right
yeah
there
does
there's
no
checks
in
those
boxes
according
to
your
matrix
and
there's
no
story
to
tell
you
don't
I
mean
yeah
if
we
have
a
final
age
of
issues,
just
totally
picking
random
things
right
now,
but
age
of
issues,
a
lot
of
people
use
a
lot
of
organizations
and
a
lot
of
communities
use
that
in
a
meaningful
way.
Then
maybe
we
write
a
narrative
at
the
bottom
of
that
column,
which
is
age
of
issues.
Okay,
you
know
time
yeah.
C
I
hear
you
how
about
we
have
a
blog
of
two
types
of
stories.
One
is
the
column,
the
metric
story
in
one
of
the
organizational
story
where
each
time
the
interview
and
organization
how
to
use
metrics,
we
have
a
certain
path
that
we
follow
and
it's
like
a
success
story
that
companies
would
post
for
someone
successfully
using
their
products.
You
do
the
same
for
metrics
and
then
after
we
collect
a
couple
of
them,
then
we
are
ready
to
write
the
columns.
The
metrics.
