Description
Links to minutes from this meeting are on https://chaoss.community/participate.
A
Hey
everyone:
it
is
December
6th,
Tuesday,
2022
and
you're
here
at
the
chaos
Community
I'm,
just
like
Community
Channel.
You
are
on
the
community
Channel,
but
this
is
also
the
chaos
community
meeting
our
weekly
meeting,
where
we
just
hang
out
with
each
other
and
catch
up
on.
What's
going
on
with
chaos,
I'm
the
community
manager
I
almost
forgot
what
I
was
for
a
minute:
I'm
Elizabeth
and
I'm,
a
community
manager
and
yeah.
So
really
really
great
to
see
everybody
here.
A
A
A
To
put
you
so
I'm
super
happy,
so
I'm
just
going
to
use
it
all
the
time
now
now
that
it's
not
like
a
big
thing
to
make
an
emoji
in
a
Google
doc.
So
thank
you
Google
for
making
my
day
better.
Thank
you.
Sophia
Wherever,
You,
Are,
okay,
let's
jump
in
so
just
a
reminder.
This
is
actually
the
last
meeting
until
the
first
of
you
well
I
should
say
the
last
community
meeting
until
the
first
of
the
year,
hooray,
hooray,
hooray.
A
We
are
not
having
any
meetings,
December
12th
through
January
9th,
just
for
an
end
of
your
break.
To
give
us
all
just
kind
of
a
little
breather
work
can
still
go
forward
on
async
on
slack.
If
a
working
group
wants
to
do
that,
if
we
want
to
keep
conversations
going
completely,
fine
does
not
have
to
just
halt
everything
all
for
commit
in
chaos,
but
I
see
that
Sean
also
is
adding
a
getting
started
with
auger
meeting
on
the
12th,
because
it's
so
popular
yeah.
A
Yay,
so
I
will
make
sure
to
note
that
in
the
newsletter
as
well,
but
thank
you
for
doing
those
Sean
there.
They
seem
to
be
working
really
really
well.
Yeah.
B
Yeah,
it's
it's
been
a
good,
it's
been
good,
I
think
for
the
people
who
are
there
and
the
last
video
has
a
pretty
complete
list
of
things
that
you
do
to
install
the
new
auger.
A
Fantastic
is
that
mostly
what
these
workshops
entail
is
getting
getting
right.
B
Now
it's
getting,
people
started
and
I
think
that,
with
with
ultimately
with
the
aim
of
enabling
contribute
contributions,
we
also
implemented
the
only
first
timers
tag
in
the
auger
issue
repository
and
have
committed
to
if
somebody
signs
up
for
an
issue,
we'll
sort
of
Shepherd
one
individual
per
week
through
issue
resolution
and
the
you
know
the
whole
process
of
making
development
changes
to
Auger
and
that
came
out
of
our
discussion
last
week.
I
think
in
the
community
meetings.
C
Go
ahead:
yeah
I
just
want
to
like
remind
Sean
and
add-on
that
we'll
be
having
I
think
we're
planning
a
Sprint
with
Epi
data
community
in
Ghana,
so
yeah
I
just
want
to
add
that
as
well.
Oh.
B
Yeah
the
the
weekend
of
the
12th
I
believe
there's.
If
somebody
I'm
communicating
with.
A
Well,
when
you
all
have
it
settled,
let
us
know
I
can
actually
put
it
in
a
newsletter.
We
can.
We
can
do
whatever
we
need
to.
B
C
Going
to
be
online
like
it's
like
a
Sprint
with
they
have
this
pie
detox
community
in
Ghana.
So
it's
going
to
be
like
an
online
Sprints
and
would
connect
with
Ahmad.
Is
the
I
think
delete
in
pi
data
Ghana
to
connect
to
kind
of
plan
it
more
and
yeah?
D
E
A
Get
caught
up,
okay,
so
just
as
a
reminder
also
for
our
newcomers,
so
welcome
to
our
newcomers.
I
do
see
a
few
new
faces
today,
so
good
to
see
you
a
relatively
new,
maybe
not
brand
new
but
kind
of
new.
We
do
have
the
next
onboarding
meeting
on
January
11th.
We
are
skipping
this
month
because
it
seemed
weird
to
be
like
hey,
welcome
to
chaos
and
then
we'll
see
you
in
a
month.
A
So
we
just
canceled
this
one,
just
taking
a
little
break,
we'll
resume
those
again
on
January
11th
and
just
for
those
who
haven't
been
to
one
basically
Ruth
and
I
give
an
overview
of
what
chaos
is
all
the
different
kind
of
moving
Parts
here,
because
there's
a
lot
going
on
at
chaos
and
we
kind
of
help
you
navigate
and
figure
out
where
you
might
want
to
contribute
and
what
you
might
want
to
do
next.
So
that's
what
the
purpose
of
those
meetings
are,
and
we
do
also
have.
A
These
will
start
again
in
January
a
regular
office
hours
where
you
can
join
and
just
ask
whatever
question
you
want.
You
come
and
go
this
morning
we
had
one
and
we
chatted
a
lot
about
hair,
color
and
other
various
topics.
So
it
does
not
even
have
to
be
about
chaos.
You
can
just
come
hang
out
with
us.
That's
all
that's
also
valid,
so
it's
good
okay,
the
next
one
on
our
list
is.
D
Yes,
there
is
something
I
just
want
to
chip
in
for
two
minutes.
Today
is
the
6th
of
December
and
there's.
A
tragic
event
happened
here
like
20
years
ago.
I
just
want,
if
somebody
just
to
tell
you
20,
like
14
womens,
were
killed
by
a
gunman.
Can
you
see.
A
D
Yes,
so
this
is
a
tragic
event
that
we
can
just
remember
these.
Ladies,
their
engineers,
a
Gunman's
work
to
walk
into
this
school
and
he
just
hated
women
in
stem
and
shot
for
that.
This
is
really
tragic,
so,
today,
6th
of
December.
We
are
remembering
this
great.
Ladies
sorry
for
cross-fosting.
It's
just
a
way
of
putting
ourselves
to
see
why
we
should
encourage
women
in
stem
and
them.
This
happened
in
Montreal
at
a
call:
Polytechnic
yeah,
a
guy,
an
Arab
guy,
just
he
was
just
smart.
A
I'm
really
glad
you
brought
that
up.
I'm
strong
I'm
gonna
try
not
to
get
teary
but
wow.
That's
really
powerful.
Thank
you
for
sharing
that.
Is
there
a
link
or
I'm
sure
there's
articles
and
information
on.
A
A
Okay,
let's
go
ahead
and
move
along.
The
next
item
is
about
the
the
discourse
migration.
So,
as
you
know-
and
we
were
actually
talking
about
this
in
the
chaos
Africa
designers
slack
chat
this
morning,
chaos
has
been
using
super
old
listserv
mailing
lists,
for
that
have
literally
not
been
updated.
The
UI.
A
Updated
in
like
20
years,
I,
don't
know
it's
very
hard
to
navigate
and
we
had
some
newcomers
that
were
kind
of
struggling
with
the
interface
and
just
it's
really
not
clear
how
to
even
participate
with
mailing
lists.
A
It's
been
an
ongoing
issue
for
us,
so
we
decided
a
few
months
ago
to
migrate
from
the
mailing
lists
over
to
discourse,
which
is
an
a
forum
that
we
can
use
and
we'll
have
some
it's
a
little
bit
different
than
slack,
which
slack
is
kind
of
more
of
like
immediate
or
you
know
more
short-term
conversations,
but
it's
really
hard
to
find
if
you're
looking
for
something
specific
and
right
now,
our
slack.
Although
we
might
change
this,
but
our
slack
doesn't
keep
the
history
of
stuff.
So
yeah.
A
So
that
will
be
great,
but
discourse
will
let
us,
like
just
have
threads,
that
newcomers
can
search
and
we
can
easily
find
historical
context
for
things
where
we
don't
remember
right
off
or
if
a
newcomer
is
wondering
how
something
came
to
be
how
the
development
of
a
metric
came
to
be,
or
someone
has
questions
on
metrics
or
really
anything.
A
We
can
use
discourse
for
that.
So
quick
update.
We
have
been
approved
for
a
free,
open
source,
hosted
plan
and
which
means
we
don't
have
to
really
mess
with
it,
except
for
the
administration
of
it
and
the
moderation
of
it
of
our
own
conversations.
But
somebody
else
discourse
is
going
to
handle
all
the
other
servery
kind
of
stuff
and
updating
it
and
all
that.
A
I'm,
hoping
to
at
least
have
a
first
iteration
in
place
when
we
come
back
after
the
first
of
the
year,
so
that
we
can
kind
of
just
all
jump
in
and
start
using
it.
One
kind
of
caveat
with
it
is
that,
because
we're
on
the
open
source
plan,
there
are
some
limitations
and
one
of
those
limitations
is
not
being
able
to
import
any
data.
So
so
we
might
have
to
ask
people
to
start
a
new
account
which
I'm
so
sorry
for
that
we
were
kind
of
hoping
we
could.
A
Maybe
you
know,
transfer
over
some
slack
or
some
mailing
list
subscriptions
already,
but
I
don't
think
we're
gonna
be
able
to
do
that.
So
we
might
have
to
ask
you
all
to
sign
up
for
another
account
in
the
mini
that
you
have
already,
but
we'll
sort
that
out.
I
am
gonna.
There
is
a
thread
going
in
the
community
repo
on
GitHub,
where
we're
going
to
kind
of
list
all
the
tests
to
be
done.
A
E
The
to-do
group
does
this.
That
I
think
you
can
like
track
slack
discussions
in
GitHub
I
had
no
idea,
you
could
do
this
and
I
believe
the
reason
they
do.
This
is
so
that
folks,
who
can't
access
slack,
can
see
the
discussions
that
are
going
on
so
I
I
just
didn't
know
you
could
do
this,
which
is
kind
of
interesting
to
me.
My.
F
Job
will
last
I
think
that's
the
last
half
of
the
slack
to
discourse
migration.
So
it's
plausible.
If
you
have
a
thread
in
slack
and
you're,
an
admin
or
above
in
slack,
you
can
install
a
system
that
allows
you
to
put
a
icon.
That
says,
make
thread
a
post
and
then
it
will
actually
post
the
thread
from
slack
onto
discourse
and
then
from
there
you
can
bring
it
into
GitHub.
E
G
I
might
be
wrong
on
that
I
know.
Originally,
it
was.
It
was
pretty
manual
because
I
also
think
that
they
import
some
of
the
conversations
from
some
of
the
private
slack
channels
and
strip
out
like
who
said
what
I'm
not
sure
exactly
how
it
works.
It'd
be
worth
talking
to
Anna
to
see.
E
A
It
might
be
kind
of
interesting
to
have
that
I'm
I'm
wondering
how
that
would
work
with,
and
maybe
this
is
like
too
deep
into
the
details
of
it,
because
that's
where
my
brain
tends
to
go,
and
so
apologies
but
like
if
we
have
so
many
repos
and
all
the
conversations
are
happening
in
that
repo.
Is
that
like
when
people
have
visibility
into
those
or
like
hop,
could.
B
You
I,
don't
know
you
know
what
I
mean
you
can
create
links,
I,
think
I,
think
we
went,
we've
contemplated
for
a
long
time.
How
to
do
it
and
I'd
suggest
we
just
try
something
yeah.
A
D
A
E
A
Okay,
the
next
item
on
our
quick
interjection
here,
just
so
people
know
we
usually
end
these
now
that
we
have
a
cast
Con
coming
up,
we're
going
to
end
our
general
meeting
at
30
minutes
past
so
that
this,
so
we
have
this
space
to
kind
of
use
for
committee
planning.
So
at
30
minutes
past
we're
going
to
end
the
general
meeting
and
then
the
Cascon
committee
will
stick
around
for
some
some
discussions
that
we
have
to
have
about
the
upcoming
chaos
con.
A
B
Oh
yeah,
just
that
during
the
risk
meeting
we
discussed
the
need
to
or
the
desire
to
do
some
surveying
of
the
landscape
to
see
what
others
are
doing
with
regards
to
risk,
because,
obviously
there's
a
lot
of
activity
around
security,
both
Sophia
and
I,
have
participated
in
some
of
the
open
ssf
meetings
now
and
I
put
some
notes
from
today's
tooling
group
meeting
in
the
the
risk
Channel,
but
I
just
I
wanted
to
sort
of
make
a
general
awareness
that
we've
discussed
surveys
in
the
asphalt
working
group
and
on
the
risk
working
group.
B
E
E
E
Yeah
so
the
we've.
E
Conversation
with
oh,
so
you
would
just
you
would
okay,
we.
B
Would
just
like
to
add
some
risk
questions
to
the
hospital
survey
that
we're
coordinating
with
the
to-do
group
from
the
hospital
working
group
so,
instead
of
risk
going
through
creating
their
own
survey,
we
have
a
couple
of
questions
we'd
like
to
ask,
as
part
of
the
the
other
survey
that
we
discussed
in
the
aspa
working
group-
oh
I
I
got
you
okay,
okay,
yeah
yeah,
it's
like!
Instead
of
sending
two
surveys
from
chaos.
Let's
just
ask
the
couple
questions
we
have
in
the
in
the
one
survey.
I
can
just
same
same
basic
group.
E
F
Yeah,
so
it's
the
it's
also
the
same
thing
that
we've
been
talking
about,
while
the
comms
working
group
is
spinning
up,
which
is
during
the
holidays,
maybe
not
the
greatest
planning
to
be
adding
new
things,
but
for.
F
And
then
create
Abridged
versions.
So
if
you
were
willing
to
volunteer,
please
please
please
to
Listen
to
A
A
chaos
cast
and
then
give
me
an
entry
point
or
an
exit
point
for
a
few
takeaways
that
you
thought
were
really
valuable.
F
I
would
really
appreciate
it
and
what
we're
going
to
do
with
that
is
basically
pull
the
takeaways
that
you
find
valuable
as
a
community
member
put
them
into
a
smaller
version
of
that
podcast.
And
then
it's
going
to
be
available
in
archives
for
chaos
to
use
in
the
future,
and
it
will
be
published
for
socially
constructed
on
the
YouTube
channel
for
now
and
then
we'll
have
a
later
home.
For
that
when
the
working
group
is
up
and
running.
G
E
That
was
just
me,
so
it's
just
the
to
keep
people
posted
just
kind
of
on
the
ongoing
conversation
so
we're
the
website
has
been
been
updated.
We're
continuing
to
look
at
ways
to
reduce
text
on
the
site,
because
a
lot
of
the
text
is,
you
know,
simply
carry
over
from
the
last
website.
So
we
are
looking
to
continue
to
streamline
that.
E
E
So
this
is,
if
you
can't,
if
you
can
kind
of
see,
this
is
kind
of
reducing
the
like.
These
were
the
metrics
from
risk,
or
these
were
the
metrics
from
you
know,
Evolution.
It's
simply
how
we
have
tagged,
those
metrics
and
organize
them,
so
they.
F
D
E
They're
kind
of
brought
together
in
that
way,
if
you
go
back
the
go
back,
one
more
see
what
the
and
this
is
to
help,
because
we
were
up
to
close
to
80
metrics
and
the
long
list
was
getting
a
little
bit
complex.
A
little
bit
overwhelming
the.
There
is
a
proposal
right
now
and
an
issue
if
you
scroll
down
just
a
little
bit
to
add
two
more
two
more
boxes
right
here.
E
So
one
would
just
be
show
all
metrics,
so
it
would
actually
be
a
list
of
the
comprehensive
list
of
all
metrics,
not
as
categorized
and
then
the
other
one
would
be
show
all
metric
models.
So
we
don't
have
the
metric
models
in
here,
yet
they
just
even
haven't
been
published,
but
it
would
be
to
show
all
the
metric
model
definitions
that
have
been
published
as
well.
A
Had
a
quick
question,
I
think
this
was
brought
up
before
too
as
these,
when
you
click
on
a
thing
it
just
has
this,
it
doesn't
have
the
question
that
was
answered.
I
think
somebody
brought
that
up.
Do
you
know
Matt
if
that's
even
a
possibility.
I
know,
that's
probably
a
question
for
Kevin,
but
yeah.
F
A

A
D
A
Out
of
time,
I
know
that's
a
big
discussion,
but
I
think
that
that
discussion,
or
that
is
already
in
progress,
I,
believe
okay,
I'm,
not
mistaken,
because
of
the
all.
F
Yeah
yeah:
are
you
doing
that
through
a
parameter
or
through
the
actual
core
URL
Kevin's.
C
F
Yeah,
my
main
concern
is
just
impact
on
SEO,
but
I
can
follow
up
with
him
later.
Yeah.
A
Yeah
there
might
be
some
work
around
something
we
can
do
there,
so
yeah
all
right,
I'm.
So
sorry
we
have
to
stop
the
meeting,
but
we
do
have
some
things
to
discuss
on
the
cast
on
committee.
So,
if
you're
on
the
chaos
con
committee
planning,
please
stick
around
everybody
else,
you're
free
to
go.
Thank
you
so
much!
Oh,
my
gosh,
and
we
will
see
you
next
year.
What
we'll
see
you
next
year,
heart
heart
have
a
good
end
of
year.
