we
have
gained

for
introducing
mma's
2021.
G
Great
evening,
everyone,
how
are
you
doing
congratulations
graduates
such
an
exciting
evening,
for
you
all?
Well,
I
have
the
honor
this
evening
of
introducing
your
salutatorian
for
the
2021
school
year.
So
I
want
to
start
off
by
saying
that
I've
never
met
this
young
man,
but
anytime.
Anyone
has
rise
to
the
occasion
to
be
named
salutatorian,
it's
a
great
accomplishment.
So,
let's
give
him
a
round
of
applause
already.
G
G
H
All
right
good
evening,
family,
friends,
faculty,
honored,
guests
and
fellow
graduates.
First,
I
want
to
thank
all
of
you
from
for
being
in
attendance
this
evening.
You
have
all
had
a
profound
impact
on
the
development
of
the
students
that
are
graduating
today
and
I
feel
it's
safe
to
say
that
I
speak
on
behalf
of
the
entire
class
of
2021
and
thanking
you
for
all
of
the
efforts
you've
invested
in
us
first,
I
want
to
thank
my
family
and
the
clinton
family
for
pushing
me
to
succeed.
H
I
would
also
like
to
thank
mrs
clark,
major
taylor
and
matt
sarton
johnson,
for
being
my
mentors
over
the
past
years
and
for
overall
helping
me
get
to
this
point
in
my
life.
Without
all
of
you,
I
wouldn't
have
been
on
the
stage
today
is
a
day
that
we
celebrate
our
accomplishments
as
graduates.
We
have
worked
every
day
for
the
past
12
years
to
secure
our
seat.
In
this
ceremony
we
have
all
failed
assignments
and
or
quizzes,
yet
we
have
passed
the
biggest
test
of
them
all
the
tests
of
will.
H
Yes,
there
have
been
times
we
wanted
to
give
up,
but
we
didn't.
We
prevailed,
the
work
ethic
and
strength
shown
by
each
of
us
corresponds
to
the
day
chosen
for
our
ascension
on
this
day.
156
years
ago,
the
african-americans
who
were
enslaved,
tortured
and
denied
education
were
declared
free.
They
thought
that
people
of
color
people
like
us
could
say
that
we
are
strong,
intelligent
in
the
definition
of
black
excellence.
Military
magnet
may
have
not
been
any
of
our
first
choices.
However,
it
has
given
us
so
much.
H
This
school
is
the
place
where
we
went
from
immature
kids
to
slightly
less
immature
kids.
This
school
has
shaped
us
into
what
into
who
we
are
today.
Yes,
we
dislike
some
of
the
teachers,
most
of
the
rules
and
all
the
uniforms,
but
we're
here
we
we
are
capable
of
saying
we
did
it.
Mma
gave
us
the
opportunity
to
create
the
bonds
that
we
have
today
and
I
for
one
thank
the
school
for
allowing
me
to
meet
each
and
every
one
of
you.
We
aren't
all
friends,
but
we
will
always
be
classmates.

Spirit
of
the
eagle
award
in
order
to
be
considered
for
the
spirit
of
the
eagle
award,
a
cadet
must
be
in
the
top
30
percent
of
the
graduating
senior
class.
This
cadet
must
have
been
involved
in
extracurricular
activities
throughout
his
or
her
high
school
career
and
demonstrate
exceptional
moral
character
and
proven
leadership,
qualities

And

with
33

which
include
dual

and

has
been
inducted

the
national
honor
society
and
was
a
member
of
the

track
and

and
basketball
teams.
He
also
served
as
the
high
school
battalion
commander
this
past
year
and
is
enlisted
as
a
soldier
in
the
south
carolina
army.
A
A
Then
you
eventually
came
along
to
to
the
polo
shirt
and
slacks
like
everyone
else
and
loosened
up.
You
started
connecting
with
the
cadets
staff
and
family
members
in
a
way
that
made
people
comfortable
and
want
to
be
around
you.
I
want
to
say
thank
you
for
showing
me
that,
being
yourself
will
help
you
in
life
rather
than
trying
to
impress
others
and
be
something
that
you
aren't
major
taylor.
I
remember
about
two
months
into
my
seventh
grade
year.
A
You
came
in
as
the
new
tactical
officer
and
you
immediately
adapted
to
the
school
and
instantly
became
bonding
with
the
students
around
campus
and
only
two
years
you
went
from
tactical
officer
to
commandant
of
the
school.
I've
also
watched
you
start
up
the
girls,
jv
basketball
team
from
nothing
become
the
varsity
girls
head
coach
and
rebuild
the
program,
and
in
just
four
years
as
the
head
coach,
the
team
led
the
team
to
his
first
ever
state
championship.
L
C
You
were
like
my
diary,
a
person
I
could
confide
in
with
any
and
all
of
my
problems,
both
good
and
bad.
You
were
able
to
make
me
laugh
at
times
when
I
needed
one
the
most
and
you
never
realized
it,
and
for
that
I
want
to
say
thank
you
and
I
love
you
more
than
you'll
ever
know.
I
want
to
thank
coach
simmons
and
mr
von
allman
for
all
the
knowledge
that
the
both
of
you
have
given
me
throughout
the
years
and
showing
me
what
it
means
to
be
a
man.

the
fact
that

state
that
they
never
know
how
much
the

realization

The
change
of
command
ceremony
is
a
military
tradition
that
is
rich
with
symbolism
and
heritage
dating
back
to
medieval
times.
In
more
recent
times.
The
colors
and
heritage
represent
not
only
the
heritage
and
history
of
the
unit,
but
also
the
unity
and
loyalty
of
its
soldiers.
The
colors
are
the
commander's
symbol
of
authority
representing
his
responsibilities
to
the
organization.

to
showcase
the
talents
of
our
young
people.
There's
no
limit
to
what
you
can
achieve.
There's
no
boundaries
to
what
you
will
achieve.
There's
no
obstacle
too
great
that
you
can't
overcome
it.
We'd
like
to
thank
all
of
our
county
and
constituent
board
members,
parents,
faculty
staff,
business
partners,
community
members
and
all
members
of
the
military
special
thanks
to
the
rotary
club
of
north
charleston
breakfast
club
and
the
rotary
of
north
charleston
lunch
club.
