G
G
This
has
been
one
of
most
successful
classes
at
james
island
charter.
High

seniors
have
produced
some
of
the
highest
test,
scores

the
act,

our
school
has
ever
seen.
The

advanced
placement,
international
baccalaureate
and
dual
enrollment
courses
is
amongst
the
highest
in
the
entire
district.
G
Your
academic
achievements
are
the
reason
our
school
continues
to
receive
an
excellent
rating
on
the
state
report
card
and
why
our
school
continues
to
climb
in
state
and
national
rankings.
As
of
today,
you've
accepted
9
million
832
thousand
839

a
lot.

more
than
900

Some
of
the

Our
seniors

contribute
to
the
fall

the
clothing
swap
project
and
the
annual
mental
health.
Fair.
G
A
number
of
seniors
have
helped
build
the
academic
team
since
their
ninth
grade
year.
Since
that
time,
the
academic
team
has
consistently
finished
top
in
the
districts
alongside
with
wando
and
academic
magnet
and
athletics.
2002
was
another
highly
successful
year
at
james
island
high
school.
Over
these
four
years.
Our
seniors
have
helped
win
several
state
championships
and
successfully
compete
in
many
state
and
regional
competitions
class
of
2022.
G
Your
accolades
are
long.
You've
got
it
done
in
the
classroom
on
the
stage
in
the
community
and
in
competitions.
You
have
represented
your
school
and
community.
Well
seniors.
You
made
it
here.
Despite
the
adversity,
we've
all
gone
through
the
past
three
years.
We
are
so
thankful
that
you
had
a
fairly
normal
senior
year.
G
G
G
G
And
now
I
have
the
pleasure
of
entering
this
year's
salutatorian
for
the
class
of
2022,
with
a
gpa
of
5.218
and
a
recipient
of
a
1500
scholarship
from
james
island
charter
high
school.
This
student
will
be
attending
the
university
of
delaware
in
the
fall
majoring
in
environmental
and
resource
economics.
G
H
Good
morning,
fellow
jichs
graduates,
family
teachers
and
staff,
when
writing
this
speech,
I
wanted
to
avoid
using
the
word
unprecedented
because
we've
all
heard
it
so
many
times
over
the
past
four
years.
So,
first
and
foremost,
I
think
we
deserve
to
all
pat
ourselves
on
the
back
for
being
here
today
after
our
abnormal
high
school
experience.
H
H
H
H
H
H
H
This
mindset
can
also
impact
us
as
individuals.
We
feel
more
depressed,
more
isolated,
more
hopeless,
but
our
generation
can
make
a
different
choice
before
it
is
too
late.
We
can
choose
to
fight
pessimism
every
single
day.
It
isn't
something
we
can
cure,
so
we
have
to
choose
hope
and
joy.
Instead,
every
day
pessimism
can
take
a
hold
of
any
one
of
us.
Last
spring
defeatism
and
cynicism
started
to
take
over
me.
I
was
angry
at
politics
at
school
at
everyone
else's
inaction.
H
H
H
Why
even
bother
switching
to
oat
milk
if
we
are
all
going
to
die
anyways
the
facts
about
climate
change
are
scary
and
it
is
easy
to
give
into
that
kind
of
thinking
I
have,
but
that
isn't
how
we
solved
the
problem
around
that
time.
I
attended
an
earth
day
event
with
what
were
then
strangers,
but
who
would
become
my
best
friends?
H
H
H
A
central
tenant
of
the
local
group
charleston
climate
coalition,
who
hosted
that
earth
day
event
last
year,
is
that
climate
activism
should
be
joyful
in
the
past
two
years.
Working
on
environmental
issues,
I've
attended
fashion
shows
and
dinner
parties
planted
flowers
and
created
art.
I
have
made
some
of
my
dearest
friends
over
time.
These
small
acts
become
how
we
sustain
movement
by
centering.
Our
emotional
well-being
and
finding
these
moments
of
hope
and
joy,
so
we
don't
become
burned
out.
H
I've
spent
a
lot
of
my
life
being
angry
and
being
a
cynic.
It
feels
isolating
and
lonely
and
it
certainly
doesn't
help
create
change.
I
don't
want
to
choose
anger
and
cynicism
anymore,
and
I
hope
that
you
all
don't
either
as
we
go
out
into
the
world.
I
hope
you
find
your
cause.
I
hope
you
find
your
community
and
I
hope
you
find
what
brings
you
joy.
E
Class
of
2022
congratulations
today
is
a
great
day
to
celebrate
your
accomplishments
and
take
time
to
look
around
and
say.
Thank
you
to
all
those
who
helped
you
get
here
know
that
this
is
not
the
end
of
your
road
but
the
beginning
of
a
wonderful
journey
ahead
of
each
of
you,
and
now
you
can
say
that
you
too
are
a
graduate
of
james
island
charter
high
school.
E
I
would
like
to
recognize
the
class
of
2022
by
calling
out
the
name
of
the
university
and
military
branches
and
plans
for
each
student.
As
I
call
your
university
or
military
branch,
please
stand
so
we
can
celebrate
with
you
as
you

forward
on

The

board

should
be
commended
for
having
a

or
higher,
with
the

Each

the

recognizes
students
for
the
highest
academic
award,
the
south

in

As
I

please

we
can
congratulate

for
your
high

christopher

E
I
Ib
students
take
exams
in
may,
but
are
not
notified
that
they've
received
their
ib
diploma
until
the
summer
after
they
graduate
last
spring.
Jichs
had
15
full
diploma
candidates
and
as
a
result
of
their
dedication
and
commitment
to
learning.
I
am
proud
to
announce
that
all
15
students
received
an
ib
diploma
for
2021.
I
I
I
G
J
J
Well,
they
did,
and
these
four
years
will
forever
be
remembered.
High
school
graduation
signifies
the
moment
we
adventure
into
the
real
world.
It
is
also
the
moment
when
we
can
finally
seek
the
answer
to
a
question.
We
have
probably
asked
at
least
once
in
our
student
careers.
Will
we
ever
use
this
in
the
real
world?
Do
we
really
need
to
know
this?
J
J
Our
courses
and
teachers
helped
us
explore
our
interests
and
consequently,
how
to
shape
our
future
after
high
school.
I
will
be
forever
grateful
to
my
teachers,
who
showed
me,
for
example,
that
physics
and
flying
pigs
are
fun.
How
to
ask
knowledge,
questions
and
learning
a
new
language
can
open
one's
eyes
to
a
different
culture
and
friends.
J
J
We
have
finished
high
school,
a
significant
occasion
in
our
life
and
a
daunting
and
nerve-wracking
change.
We
might
be
thinking
worrying
and
pacing
around
our
rooms,
wondering
what
ramen
flavors
we
will
have
in
college,
a
rather
more
serious
matter
how
we
will
apply
for
our
first
internship
or
job
as
a
high
school
graduate.
J
J
J
Babies,
take
little
steps
and
by
no
means
are
they
perfect
steps.
They
remain
determined
and
full
of
ambition
to
get
from
one
point
to
another,
no
matter
how
long
it
takes.
Babies
are
creative
and
inquisitive
as
we
enter
the
real
world
life
after
high
school.
We
must
maintain
that
curiosity,
determination
and
creativity.
J
We
must
not
get
discouraged
if
obstacles
are
placed
before
us.
We
should
do
our
best
to
overcome
any
challenge.
Before
I
say,
congratulations,
one
more
time
I
would
like
to
quote
dr
seuss:
you
have
brains
in
your
head.
You
have
feet
in
your
shoes.
You
can
steer
yourself
in
any
direction.
You
choose
congratulations.
Class
of
2022.
G
G
One
more
one
more
award,
please
one
more.
Okay
is
our
tradition.
Every
year
at
james
island,
high
school
to
present
the
trojan
award,
the
trojan
award
is
given
to
a
student
that
embodies
the
spirit,
the
drive
and
the
courage
to
represent
this
school
day
in
and
day
out,
this
student
represents
james
island
with
all
those
attributes,
always
with
pride
dignity,
honor
the
very
essence
of
what
it
means
to
be
a
trojan.
K
G
A
quick
announcement
before
we
end
today,
family
and
friends.
I
need
you
to
remain
in
your
seats
for
the
recession.
The
students
will
file
out
first,
followed
by
the
faculty
staff
and
honored
guests
on
stage
and
then
finally,
our
guests
in
the
stands
class
of
2022.
Please
stand
up
at
this
time
with
your
tasks.
