Let
me
explain
that
very
clearly
and
why
that
was
done,
which
we
are
still
within
policy
with
public
comments.
It's
just
a
matter
of
the
placement
on
the
agenda,
but
public
comics
still
exists.
So
public
comment
was
split
in
two
different
various
sections,
but
for
particular
reason,
one
to
accommodate
items
that
we
are
addressing
on
voting
items
to
discuss
the
business.
The
second
is
to
have
input
from
the
public
on
other
business.
A
That's
not
obtaining
two
items
that
were
voting
on
just
so
that
we
can
have
clarity
as
to
what
we're
voting
on
to
do
the
business.
So
so
it's
not
that
we're
out
of
policy
with
these
two
items
being
split
but
they're
being
split
for
that
particular
reason.
That
was
the
the
whole
idea
behind
I.
Think.

Just
might
have
to
let
the
discussion
on
this
so
rubber
gods.
We've
talked
about
this
I.
My
thought
on
going
to
a
lower
amount
was
let's
go
to
the
look
use
the
have
the
lower
amount.
We
all
agree.
We
all
do
the
P
cards
and
if
it
works
well,
then
we
can
increase
the
amount
and
we
follow
the
process.
We
do
the
paperwork.
We
turn
it
down
all
that
kind
of
stuff.
Before
we
give
you
know
$800
a
month,
everybody's
used
on
P
cards
that
we
make
sure
we
all
can
do
it
correctly.
C
A
C
It's
an
original
writing
if
you
have
read
the
writing
about
the
State
House
legislature,
each
member
of
the
House
and
Senate
to
get
$1,000
and
wealth
to
system
sever
their
constituents,
and
that's
so
that's
12,000
a
year
we're
trying
to
do
slightly,
maybe
2/3
in
there
or
maybe
even
half-
of
that
these
I'd
say
about
six
thousand
dollars
a
year
to
assist
us,
but
you
do
have
costs
to
serve
you.
You
have
you
have
Wi-Fi
I've
got
transportation,
you
have
clothing,
your
telephone,
you
can
get
that,
but
you
have
printing
costs
insurance.
C
These
things
don't
come
in
life
reason.
Maybe
yours
coming
free,
but
for
most
of
us
they
don't
come
free,
someone's
just
working
and
paying
for
you
have
medical
expenses.
What
happens
when
you
come
to
work
and
you
get
a
flat
tire
in
your
car
who
pays
for
that,
because
the
school
board
eating
beautiful
you
get
a
blow
off
the
face
for
that
good
will
pay
for
it.
So
you
get
an
idea,
understand
but
better
submit
acceptors
individual.
You
could
say
no,
you
know
what
yes
or
no
it's
nothing,
nothing
in
place
with
anybody.
C
D
I
would
say:
Ragman
college.
The
reason
I
think
we
do
have
some
expenses
printing
is
a
good
example
if
you're
comfortably.
My
company
pays,
covers
much
to
that.
But
I
bet
some
of
that
I
do
have.
There
are
some
small
expenses
I'd
like
us
to
do
something:
$400
range
I'm,
not
gonna,
sport
800.
Let's
go.

J

As
well
as
rich
Gordon
tonight,
we're
proud
to
recognize
Susan
Friedrich,
who
has
named
the
Coalition
on
Adult
Basic,
Education
2019
outstanding
administrator
of
the
year.
Miss
Friedrich,
who
is
ccsd's
director
of
adult
education,
will
be
honored
in
New
Orleans.
At
the
conference
in
April,
the
outstanding
administrator
of
the
Year
award
is
awarded
to
an
adult
education
administrator
with
five
or
more
years
of
experience,
who
has
made
an
outstanding
contribution
towards
fostering
the
concept
of
education
as
a
continuing
life
process.
J
J
K
K
Esgr
s
goal
is
to
support
America's
employers
and
supervisors
who
share
their
employees
with
the
Department
of
Defense
to
ensure
our
national
security.
We
are
here
to
give
recognition
to
dr.
pasal
Wade,
who
is
being
honored
today
with
an
ESG,
our
Patriot
award
in
recognition
of
her
outstanding
support
for
her
employee
Richard,
Gordon
Richard,
who
is
assigned
to
the
Army's
National
Guard
Joint
Forces
headquarters
submitted
a
Patriot
award
request
to
formally
recognize
his
supervisor
dr.
pasa
weight.
K
Richard
recognized
the
understanding
and
flexibility
of
doctor
pasa
weight
displays
when
it
comes
to
his
military
training
and
deployment.
Richard
knows
that
his
position
and
his
job
is
protected
in
Charleston
County
School
District
we'll
be
waiting
for
him
upon
his
return
of
active
duty,
dr.
pasa,
Waits,
commitment
to
patriotism
and
the
welfare
of
our
deployed
soldiers.
K
As
far
and
above
beyond
the
normal
of
those
who
employ
citizen
soldiers,
sailors,
airmen
and
women
in
the
US
military
Reserve
and
National
Guard
forces,
Richard
went
on
to
express
his
thanks
to
the
team
at
Charleston
County
School
District,
for
their
unwavering
support
during
his
hectic
and
sometimes
frequent
absence
from
work
due
to
military
duty.
We
know
that
it
takes
a
shifting
of
duties
and
responsibilities.
K
In
the
absence
of
one
working
with
the
team,
the
entire
team
is
to
be
commended
on
picking
up
the
extra
work
when
Richard
is
called
to
serve
his
country
as
a
member
of
the
National
Guard.
These
are
some
comments
that
he's
submitted
to
the
department
offense
dr.
pasa
weight
is
the
epitome
of
the
Patriot
award
employer.
It
starts
with
little
things
like
checking
on
me
and
my
family,
whether
I'm
actively
serving
or
not.
She
routinely
asked
me
about
my
service
and
regularly
reinforces
her
value
of
my
military
knowledge
and
experiences
as
an
example.
K
This
idea
was
emphasized
when
allowing
me
to
use
my
military
skill
set
towards
school
district
or
organizational
goals,
such
as
the
development
of
our
school
districts.
2018
strategic
plan
I
got
a
text
last
year
on
a
Saturday
night
to
report
to
duty
in
preparation
for
hurricane
Florence
by
Sunday.
I
was
fully
activated
over
a
hundred
miles
away
from
my
family
and
with
an
unknown
timeline,
but
I
was
assured
immediately.
I
was
receiving
support
from
multiple
individuals
across
multiple
divisions
throughout
the
organization.
K
Additionally,
her
active
support
of
the
Military
Child
Education
coalition
mission
of
helping
Charleston,
County
military
and
veteran
connected
students
thrive
in
the
face
of
transition
and
separation
is
second
to
none
as
some
who
have
deployed
overseas.
As
someone
who
has
deployed
overseas
with
three
students
in
Charleston,
County
School
District
I
can
personally
vouch
for
the
value
of
such
an
initiative
and
personally
thank
her
dr.
pasa
weight
is
dependable
champion
of
military
community
and
I
am
proud
to
call
her
my
supervisor.
We
appreciate
everything
that
you
do
to
support
our
military
and
reservists,
especially
Richard.
D
Right,
just
real
quick
I
want
to
share
with
everybody.
What
public
comment
policy
is
board
meeting
shall
be
conducted
in
an
orderly
and
efficient
manner.
Reasonable
controls
shall
regulate
public
presentations
to
the
board.
Any
individual
who
desires
to
appear
before
a
regular
board
meeting
shall
sign
up
in
prior
to
5:15
and
will
be
allowed
a
maximum
of
two
minutes
to
address
the
board.
A
suitable,
visible
timing
device
shall
be
employed,
please
see,
and
it
shall
Auto
Blee
mark
the
end
of
the
presentation
period.
D
No
speaker
may
use
public
comment
to
discuss
personnel
matters
or
matters
otherwise
private
or
confidential,
and
speakers
are
to
discuss
issues.
Not
individual.
The
Chairman
or
designee
is
authorized
to
terminate
any
speakers
time
who
does
not
observe
this
policy
and,
lastly,
a
lot
of
times
people
come
and
you
ask
us
questions
we're
not
going
to
individually
answer
those,
but
staff
is
taking
notes
and
if
you've
asked
a
question,
we
will
get
back
to
you
for
sure.
D
H
Good
evening,
everyone
I
bring
you
greetings
from
Deer,
Park,
Middle,
School
I,
don't
know.
China
Road
I
had
some
problems.
What
this
is,
what
the
school
my
son
goes
to.
A
classroom
in
I
was
told
that
he
had
to
take
two
classes
because
there
isn't
enough
space
at
the
apart
a
few
hearts.
Now
the
teacher,
where
are
we
gonna,
put
the
students
and
the
teachers?
H
H
We
also
have
a
gymnasium,
that's
that
has
classroom,
but
Charleston
client
school
district
said
that
they're
gonna
close
up
the
classroom
because
they're
not
going
to
supplies
what
elevator
to
make
it
handicap
accessible
and
what
those
actual
classrooms
and
that
gymnasium
you
possibly
can
hire
another
or
budget
for
and
some
teachers
there.
So
they
can
be
accommodate
with
the
population
of
the
students
and
also
for
the
kids
to
be
able
to
get
in
the
classroom
or
that's
what
suits
that'll
be
good
for
their
curriculum.
C
H
Elevator
they
said
that
the
school
need
it
needs
to
be
handicap,
accessible,
I,
don't
know
what
it
costs
to
have
an
elevator
put
into
the
school,
but
because
there's
no
elevator
there
they
happen,
there's
a
gymnasium
that
has
classrooms
up
there
in
the
upstairs
it
cannot
be
utilized
because
there's
not
a
elevator
in
there
and
if
they
get
a
handicap
student.
What
are
we
gonna
do
about
the
the
situation
there.

Come
before
you

For

Thank.
M
M
M
I
saw
a
certain
amount
of
dedication
and
seriousness
when
she
was
there.
That's
why
I
support
prestige,
long
sigh
Academy,
dr.
Coleman,
came
to
back
to
her
home,
not
because
she
wanted
the
money
not
because
he
wanted
to
flap
up
a
resume.
She
did
this
because
she
wanted
to
teach
young
black
children.
M
This
is
something
you're
not
doing,
and
this
is
not
just
you
personal
board,
but
going
back
five
10
15
20
years.
They
have
not
been
able
to
do
that.
Well,
you
have
to
understand
that
she
is
winning
postal
carrier
said
only
7%
of
young
black
children.
Children
are
able
to
go
to
college,
don't
have
the
strengths
for
it,
but
that
the
Preparatory
Academy
they
are
doing
very
well
they're,
doing
better
than
eighty
percent
of
the
schools
in
North,
Charleston
and
she's
doing
this
with
no
corporate
sponsors.
M
M
We
want
to
do
everything
we
can
to
make
this
work
for
for
us.
She
also
has
the
support
of
the
community
and
parents
and
I
think
we
should
have
some
people
working
to
give
her.
What
support
she
needs,
and
maybe
we
can
write
it
down,
so
we
can
transfer
it
to
other
schools,
so
I
support,
press,
H,
Academy
I
think
especially
to
can
find
a
better
way
to
support
black
children's
learning.
Just
remember
uneducated,
out
of
hook
society,
young
men
are
going
to
be
a
disaster.
M
D
N
Gonna
enjoy
it
just
as
well.
First
of
all,
I'd
like
to
thank
you,
chairman
board
members
and
ccsm
staff,
I
appreciate
you
guys,
chairman

Thank
you.

All
thank
you
for

O
O
P
Good
evening
everybody,
my
name
is
Patrick
Martin
I'm,
a
teacher
at
Wando,
High,
School,
I,
I,
appreciate
y'all
service
and
y'all's
time
for
allowing
public
comment.
I
won't
take
much
of
your
time
but
I'm
here
this
evening
to
ask
the
board
if
to
open
up
communication
with
teachers,
as
we
advocate
in
this
current
legislature
for
education
reform.
P
There's
a
group
of
teachers
who've
been
discussing
issues,
especially
concerning
bill
age,
375,
9
+
s
419
as
they
relate
to
statewide
education
policy,
and
there
are
many
teachers,
who'd
like
to
join
forces
with
the
school
board
to
help
ensure
the
unique
needs
of
Charleston
County
students
are
taken
into
account,
as
these
important
discussions
are
taking
place.
Thank
you.
Q
Good
evening
to
the
established
protocol,
I
just
want
to
echo
the
sentiments
expressed
by
Mayor,
green
and
mist.
Ask
you
I
want
to
thank
you
for
the
move
that
you've
made
and
as
we
move
forward
and
word
to
Spike
Lee
last
night.
Let's
continue
to
do
the
right
thing.
I've
been
on
this
board
over
20-some
years
and
I'm,
not
tired.
I
am
going
to
continue
to
fight
for
my
constituents
in
district
1
and
our
children
because
they
deserve
a
sound
education.
I
want
to
thank
my
constituent
who
came
tonight
the
clergy.
Please
stand.
Q
They
are
in
it
and
they're
want
the
same
thing
for
their
children
that
everybody
else
wants
were
there.
They
are
taxpayers
and
as
the
district
one
board,
we
are
going
to
continue
to
fight
to
get
the
best
education
that
their
tax
dollars
can't
afford.
Of
course,
with
your
help,
your
guidance
and
your
direction
I
think
we
can
work
together
to
do
this,
so
let's
move
forward
in
a
timely
manner
and
let's
continue
to
do
the
right
thing
for
our
children.
Thank
you.
Thank.
R
Great
things
he
has
done
and
great
things
this
school
board
is
going
to
continue
to
do
for
us
like
mayor,
green
saver
and
brother
Oscar
and
mr.
Carlton.
My
chair,
I
am
his
vice
chair
and
all
my
board
members
and
my
church
family.
We
all
right
here
tonight
to
say
to
this
board
thank
you
and
continue
to
do
the
job
for
our
children
and
yours.
This
is
your
job
to
see
that
bigoted,
but
we
need
and
again
this
board.
Thank
you
and
may
God
continue
to
bless.
All
of
you
thank.
D

to
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
speak
this
evening.
I
just
wanted
to
let
you
know
that
I
am
a
teacher
who
reads
the
emails
that
you
guys
send
out
and
last
week,
I
noticed
that
you
guys
app
or
approved
mission
critical
actions.
S
When
I
looked
over
the
two
and
a
half
or
so
pages
of
mission,
critical
actions
I
saw
that
North
Charleston
Wesley
in
the
downtown
schools
got
a
lot
of
attention
and
I
noticed
three
things
that
they
had
in
common.
They
had
a
comprehensive
plan
for
high
quality
pre-k
through
12
education
without
having
to
leave
their
area
and
I
know
that
Clemson
prioritized
for
us
a
reform
to
the
system
to
ensure
access
to
quality
schools
for
all
students
and
that
we
already
value
equity
in
this
district.
S
I
know
that
this
year
there
was
a
group
that
worked
on
some
school
choice
recommendations
some
of
those
directly
affect
partial
magnets
and
my
principal,
my
colleagues,
our
parents.
None
of
us
had
any
idea
that
this
was
going
on,
so
we
would
like
to
if
you're
going
to
work
with
the
stakeholders,
we
would
like
to
be
communicated
with
so
again
I
just
I'm
here
to
remind
you
that
our
district
23
kids
deserve
that
same
comprehensive
plan
for
high
quality
pre-k
education
without
having
to
leave
our
area.
Thank
you
for
your
time.
Thank
you.
T
Good
evening,
chairman
Mack
members
of
the
board,
dr.

await
I,
just
want
to
echo
echo
the
statements
made
by
a
longtime
family
friend,
Craig
askew,
my
mayor
Miriam,
green
and
my
former
board
fellow
colleagues,
mr.
Carlton
and
Miss
Harrell
I
want
to
thank
y'all
for
taking
the
action
you
did
tonight
on
the
Andaz
school.
We
work
very
hard
over
a
number
of
years
to
identify
that
particular
property
with
the
the
staff
at
the
town
of
Ã¥land
all
and
mayor
green
and
our
board.
T
T
U
Evening
board
Madame
superintendent,
my
name
is
Stephen
koepfer,
Shamika
and
I'm.
The
education
chair
for
the
Charleston
branch
of
the
n-double
a-c-p
and
dot
Scott
contacted
me.
Our
president
contacted
me
about
an
hour
ago
and
said:
you've
got
it
unable
to
be
here
tonight.
She
wanted
to
talk
about
prestige
Academy,
and
she
asked
me
to
bring
you
a
few
words.
V
I
can
caution
you
that
locating
us,
the
school
and
its
present
proposed,
as
the
presently
proposed
in
all
and
all
is
not
a
wise
decision.
I
do
not
argue
that
Holland
all
is
deficient
in
access
to
quality
education,
but
I
think
that
this
facility
can,
as
its
proposed,
will
be
more
to
serve
the
overflow
from
North
Mount
Pleasant,
where
the
residents
of
Mount
Pleasant
don't
want
to
make
space
for
it
at
the
expense
of
the
residential
character
of
Holland,
all
which
most
of
the
residents
of
owned
all
very
strongly
support.
V
W
Thank
you
very
kindly
the
words
declare
Ron
told
us
and
everything
give
thanks.
So
we
say,
thanks
to
you
and
I
am
reminded
of
a
scripture
that
Jesus
instructed
us
acts,
it
shall
be
given
you
seek,
ye
shall
find
knock
and
it
shall
be
opened.
Unto
you
years
and
years
we
were
knocking,
knocking
and
knocking.
D
G
Good
afternoon,
good
evening,
a
little
bit
hoarse.
Thank
you
board,
members
for
all
the
time
and
effort
you
put
into
our
school
system
is
the
mic
on
cuz.
It
was
heartening
here
in
the
back,
okay
I'm
here
in
support
of
prestige
Academy
and
would
like
for
those
parents
and
teachers
and
staff
members
who
are
here
also
to
stand.
Who
may
not
be
able
to
speak.
G
I
want
to
share
this
with
you
when
you've
paid
for
crime
by
being
incarcerated
taxpayers
to
bear
some
of
the
burden,
locking
up
a
Juneau
state
costs,
an
average
of
four
hundred
and
seven
dollars
and
fifty
eight
cents,
and
this
is
really
dated
several
years
ago.
So
we
know
the
cost
is
more
per
person
per
day
and
one
hundred
and
forty
eight
thousand
seven
hundred
sixty
seven
dollars
per
person,
and
you
add
Preparatory
Academy
prestigio
Academy.
G
We
have
the
opportunity
right
there
to
change
the
lives
of
some
boys,
and
we
know
that
our
boys
are
always
challenged
and
this
school
has
only
been
has
not
even
been
open
three
three
years
and
even
before
that,
there's
the
talk
of
closing
it.
Now
that
I
know
we
have
an
issue
of
enrollment,
but
as
a
former
educator
parent
grandmother,
etc.
G
It
is
just
impossible
for
me
to
see
how
someone
would
still
be
encouraged
to
go
to
the
school
when
we
have
board
members,
and
others
have
already
put
out
this
school
is
going
to
be
closed.
So
I'm
asking
you
please
support
that
school
because
guess
what
even
though
they
they
they
are
becoming
successful
becoming
is
a
process,
and
they
have
already
demonstrated
that
there
that
they
are
succeeding
there
and
they've
had
some
some
shortcomings.
You
know
heating
problems,
education
problems,
but
yet
with
all
of
that,
you
have
success.

they're

it'll
be
a

to
us,

We

Let's
keep
the
schools
open
to
keep
our
children.
Y
Good
evening
I'm
gonna
read
to
you
I'm
here
in
support
of
prestige,
Preparatory
Academy
and
I'm
gonna
read
to
you
a
letter
from
my
husband
and
myself
Christopher
and
Charlene
smalls.
We
are
writing
this
letter
in
support
of
prestige,
Preparatory
Academy
remaining
open.
We
have
the
privilege
of
having
our
nine-year
old
fourth
grader
enrolled
and
has
been
and
has
been
since
second
grade.
He
has
excelled
academically
as
well
as
socially
in
Charleston
County
children
of
color,
especially
black
males,
have
not
always
been
afforded
the
best
learning
environment
as
seen
in
other
communities.
Y
Prestige
not
only
offers
an
environment
that
promotes
self-love
and
cultural
awareness,
but
also
challenges
our
boys
with
above
grade
level,
academics,
prestige
staff
is
committed
and
caring
to
ingredients
needed
for
the
success
of
our
children.
Our
gentlemen
are
treated
with
respect
and
are
always
encouraged
to
strive
for
excellence.
We
are
great
supporters
and
still
believe
in
the
vision
and
the
mission
of
prestige.
Since
the
new
tagline
for
Charleston
County
school
district
is,
students
are
the
heart
of
our
work.
Y
D
A
Well,
I
thank
everyone
for
the
comments
that
they
made
to
us
tonight
now
we'll
go
into
the
board
chairs
remark
just
like
to
thank
those
that
have
made
their
initial
interviews
with
dr.
Craig
bill
and
also
as
a
reminder
to
those
that
have
not
if
they
would
please
make
sure
to
reach
out
to
him
what
to
schedule
an
appointment
time
to
do.
The
initial
telephone
interview
also
I
like
to
remind
everyone
about
the
board
training
workshop
that
will
take
place
on
April,
26
and
27.
A
Please
we're
asking
everyone
to
please
make
sure
that
they
block
that
time
off.
Are
those
dates
like
to
have
all
board
members
and
full
attendants
for
this
training
also
be
prepared
at
our
Committee
of
the
Whole
meeting
on
March.
The
11th
we'll
have
a
budget
workshop
prior
to
the
committee
of
the
whole
is
very
very
important
that
we
make
sure
that
that
we're
there
to
discuss
the
first
outlier
of
reports
that's
coming
as
far
as
the
budget
is
concerned.
A
A
More
importantly,
policy
BCA
like
to
remind
board
members
that
is
critical,
that
we
would
that
we
treat
each
other
with
respect
with
kind
and
gentle
words
and
that
we
respect
the
opinions
of
others
when
they
are
expressed.
I
encourage
board
members
to
please
be
kind
in
your
emails
and
text
messages
that
you
send
out
to
board
members
expressing
your
concerns.
It's
very
critical
that
we
allow
each
other
to
express
their
opinions
and
everyone
is
entitled
to
their
opinion.
But
no
one
is
entitled
to
be
treated
with
disrespect.
A
So
we
have
had
board
members
to
do
that.
So
I'm
just
reminding
board
members
again
of
the
policies
that
we
have
in
effect
to
please
make
sure
that
you
treat
each
other
with
with
respect
now,
I
want
to
remind
you
that
if
the,
if
the
actions
continue
and
board
members
report,
such
action
do
know
that
we
have
a
policy
in
place
to
where
next
steps
will
be
that
we
will
counsel
with
board
members.
A
A
In
your
words,
we
are
the
prime
example
of
what
leadership
should
look
like,
and
if
we
expect
our
staff
and
our
teachers
to
act
accordingly
inside
the
classroom,
we
expect
staff
leadership
tank
accordingly,
then
we
have
to
lead
by
example
by
showing
that
respect
towards
one
another.
So
thank
you
so
much
also
I
like
to
again
congratulate
superintendent
on
receiving
her
award
on
today.
Job
well
done.
Thank
you.
So
much
for
your
continuing
support
of
our
military
and
I
worked
it.
A
It
says
a
lot
when
outside
entities
are
able
to
recognize
the
inside
work
that
are
happening
within
our
district,
so
thank
you
so
much
and
to
all
of
our
veterans
to
mr.
Gordon
and
and
although
those
are
serving
in
our
military,
we
appreciate
all
the
work
that
you
do.
This
concludes
my
boy
Chairman's
remarks
for
tonight.
At
this
time
now
we'll
have
our
superintendents
report.
E
A
E
A
A
Is
the
initial
date
that
we
have
on
calendar
to
do
this,
this
board
training
and
it
has
been
set,
but
this
cannot
be
built
if
the
initial
assessment
is
not
done,
because
it
is
built
upon
the
conversation
that
that
that
is
created
through
this
concept.
So
if
dr.
Craig
Bell
shall
have
reached
out
to
teach
board,
member
I
believe
Julie
have
given
all
of
those
emails
to
dr.
Craig
bill.
So
it
is
critical
that
the
conversation
or
the
appointment
is
done.
E
Z
Thank
You
Reverend
Mac,
the
materials
for
my
mid-year
report
are
both
on
your
table.
There's
a
stack
behind
everyone's
computer
and
they
were
in
your
packets,
so
I
will
just
quickly
note
that
there
were
two
different
parts
to
the
mid-year
report.
The
first
part
looks
like
this
and
it's
a
summary
of
conversations
that
I've
had
with
board
members
and
also
a
notation,
if
you
haven't,
had
an
opportunity
to
provide
your
feedback
and
would
like
more
time
or
failed
to
capture
your
feedback.
Please
let
me
know,
for
example,
mrs.
Coates
in
your
one-on-one.
Z
We
ended
up
talking
about
the
mission-critical
actions
and
didn't
necessarily
get
all
the
feedback,
but
you
might
want
to
provide.
So
that's
an
example,
and
then
behind
that
you
have
the
board
the
board
goals.
Mid-Year
progress
chart,
often
when
we
are
reporting
to
the
board,
you
ask
us
just
to
hit
the
wave
tops,
meaning
just
give
you
the
highlights
the
big
goals
and
so
I
will
the
big
headline
so
I'm
just
going
to
say
that
every
single
one
of
these
bullets
is
a
wave
top.
Z
It
is
the
summary
of
a
lot
of
work
that
occurred
over
the
last
four
months,
and
this
report
is
16
pages
long.
So
I
laugh
I
that
I'd
like
to
ask
everyone
in
the
audience
who
works
for
Charleston,
County
Schools
to
stand
they're
really
the
ones
who
executed
all
of
this
work
and
the
awards
and
I
received
tonight
wasn't
just
for
me.
It
was
for
the
culture
that
that
the
men
and
women
who
work
in
Charleston
County
Schools
have
built.
Z
You'll
note
that
we've
we've
completed
one
of
the
goals
we
marked
four
of
them
substantially
complete,
but
three
of
the
four
have
to
have
to
be
continually
done
all
the
time
they're
in
the
communications
area
and
on
the
other.
Twenty
are
on
target.
The
next
thing,
that's
just
in
your
handouts
that
I
mentioned
very
quickly
are
the
graduation
dates
is
a
handout
with
the
graduation
dates
and
you'll
see
a
blank
they're
asking
you
if
you
would
like
to
attend,
but
that
particular
graduation
there's
there
are
two
more
on
the
back.
Z
If
you
would
sign
your
name
and
turn
it
in
we'll
make
sure
that
there
are
enough
seats
on
the
stage
for
you.
This
is
how
we
start
the
process.
It
takes
a
lot
of
advance
planning.
So
please
take
a
look
at
that
and
turn
your
responses
in
to
Julie
by
the
end
of
this
week.
If
you
would
please
and
then
just
very
quickly
I'm
going
to
mention
this
booklet
that
was
published
by
the
Greater
Metro
Chamber
of
Commerce
recently,
if
you
haven't
looked
at
it,
it
is
full
of
fascinating
information
and
I
tabbed.
Z
One
of
the
pages
to
give
you
an
example,
this
is
an
example
for
North
Charleston
and
here's
what
those
the
chart
and
arrow
arrows
mean.
It
means
that
every
day,
78,000
commuters
make
their
way
into
North
Charleston
to
work.
15,000
people
who
live
in
North,
Charleston
work
in
North,
Charleston
and
27,000
leave
Nora
to
work.
Z
So
that
is
fascinating
to
me
that
that,
in
every
single
day,
nearly
a
hundred
thousand
people
are
driving
out
of
North
Charleston
that
that
information
is
here
for
every
community
in
Charleston
County,
some
other,
like
Goose
Creek,
is
represented
as
well
and
where
we
will
be
asked
to
create
companion
piece
that
sort
of
matches
this
on
the
live
in
attending
data
for
education
and
I.
Just
this
may
not
be
of
any
use
to
you
at
all,
but
I
wanted
to.
A
A
Z
E
Z
Sent
out
the
communication
to
anyone,
yet
I've
requested
to
be
on
the
Committee
of
the
Whole
meeting
of
the
City
of
North
Houston,
so
that
North
Charleston
City
Council
members
who
live
in
North
Charleston
could
submit
nominations
and
we've
talked
to
mayor
takuan
Berg's
office,
but
have
not
followed
up
with
specific
requests.
He.
E
Z
And
then,
as
we've
met
with
cabinets,
for
example,
when
we
met
with
parent
cabinet
last
Thursday
evening,
we
told
them
if
they
would
like
to
nominate
themselves
or
someone
else.
There's
no
exclusion
on
who
could
step
forward
and
volunteer
to
be
considered
for
the
committee.
That
consultants
will
make
the
final
decision
on
the
balance
of
the
committee.

When
we
sent
the
calendars
out
for
vote,
the
option
one
had
that
early
release
day
and
that
teacher
work
day
on
a
Thursday
so
based
on
the
698
comments
from
the
public,
there
was
a
large
number
who
asked
us.
Is
there
any
way
the
board
could
consider
instead
having
those
two
days
be
on
a
Friday?
So
on
the
board
forum
that
we
sent
you,
the
recommendation
was
to
vote
for
option
one,
but
for
you
all
to
consider
a
revised
option,
one
and
that
still
and
I,

that

Want
to
be
clear,
I
want
to

I
just
want
to
make
sure
everyone
is

was
first

of

those
additional

that
were
made
will
definitely
have
to
come
back
for
a
second
reading
and
moving
forward.
Okay,
so
I
just
want
to
make
sure
everyone
is
clear
on
that.
All
right,
all
right,
I,
believe
we
have
exhausted
down
agenda
item,
as
agreed
upon
for
tonight,
entertain
a
motion
for
adjournment.
