From YouTube: CCSD Board of Trustees Meeting ~ October 26, 2020
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
A
A
Mr
garrett,
you
want
to
discuss
that
any
further.
Let's
go
I
mean
miss
darby,
I'm
sorry,
I'm
looking
at
you
saying
something
else,
all
right!
There's
a
motion
on
the
floor
to
to
approve
the
agenda
items
as
as
with
the
exception
of
moving
item
nine
8a
through
g
and
item
10a,
they're,
probably
moving.
Second,
your
mr
frazier
you're
online
remotely.
How
do
you
vote
on
that.
D
I'll
go
to
I,
but
I
can
see
the
I'm
on
board
doc,
so
I
can
vote
that
way.
A
Okay,
I'm
sorry
thank
you,
mr
holland.
Shed
have
you
joined.
A
A
We're
going
to
wait,
see
how
that
motion
carries
okay,
that
motion
carries
item
1c
approval,
a
minute
move
by
miss
darby.
Second
bye.
Mr
garrett.
Are
there
any
questions
about
the
minutes.
G
G
A
So,
mr
frazier,
just
let
me
know
thumbs
up
on
where
we're
at
on
that
yeah.
G
G
A
H
B
A
A
A
B
F
So
for
item
4c
I
moved
to
approve
the
parents
request
that
the
student
remain
enrolled
for
one
year
for
this
school
year,
with
tuition
being
waived
for
this
school
year.
I
A
A
Okay
item
4d
is
information.
That
was,
I.
B
Liked,
I'm
sorry,
I'm.
A
Yeah
information
that
was
shared
with
us
item
4e
I'd.
F
A
Asking
mr
green
dwayne
green
attorney,
dwayne
green,
I'm
sorry,
mazeek
mazzie!
Are
you
there,
mr
music?
I.
H
Just
I've
been
called
worse,
mr
reverend
matt.
B
A
Is
dwayne
mazzie,
let
me
repeat
that
again:
dwayne
music
to
work
with
the
ad
hoc
committee
in
making
final
preparation
for
the
next
evaluation
process.
Yes,
sir!
Good
luck!
Thank
you.
G
G
We've
had
in
it's
been
hard
on
the
superintendent
and
school
to
understand,
to
get
the
schools
ready
and
really
focus
in
the
classroom
that
we
could
other
than
making
them
safe
and
we're
not
scientists,
we're
not
doctors
and
then
so.
I
know
it's
been
rough,
but
we
do
it,
but
we
do
have
to
increase
the
prospect
improve
the
process.
G
J
Yeah,
is
it
I'm,
mr
I'm
on
that
committee,
but
can
we
have
a
timeline?
Can.
J
A
You
have
up
so
you
have
up
to
this
thing.
Are
you
okay,.
F
A
A
I
I
I
I
I
Carolina
park
elementary
school
teacher,
mary
huffman,
encouraged
nicholas
to
complete
the
project.
While
he
was
a
fifth
grader
in
her
class
last
year,
his
research
led
to
his
documentary
discoveries
for
the
centuries
sharing
the
struggles
and
achievements
of
unsung
hero,
mary
anning,
he
was
awarded.
In
total,
there
was
an
award
of
thirteen
thousand
dollars
in
cash
prizes.
The
international
competition
is
designed
to
inspire
students
by
prompting
them
to
conduct
primary
and
secondary
research
projects
on
unsung
heroes
from
history
whose
accomplishments
remain
largely
unknown
to
the
public.
We
congratulate
you
nicholas
and
I'd.
I
I
L
I
want
to
thank
chairman
matt,
the
board
members
and
superintendent
poster
wait
for
having
me
here
today.
My
name
is
kate
smith,
as
ms
taylor
just
said,
and
I'm
the
chief
of
staff
for
parker's
and
our
parker's
kitchen
convenience
stores.
L
We
recently
opened
our
first
charleston
county
store
on
sam
rittenberg
boulevard
and
we
have
plans
to
open
many
more
charleston
area
stores
in
the
near
future.
We're
really
excited
to
be
a
part
of
the
charleston
community.
As
a
company.
We
really
believe
it's
important
to
give
back
to
the
communities
where
we
do
business.
L
One
way
we
do,
that
is
through
a
program
called
fueling,
the
community,
the
first
wednesday
of
every
month.
We
donate
one
cent
for
every
gallon
of
gas,
that's
pumped
at
all
of
our
locations
back
to
all
local
schools
and
the
counties
where
we
do
business
so
now
that
of
course
includes
charleston
county.
L
L
As
an
example,
beaufort
county
this
year
got
a
check
for
thirty
thousand
dollars
and
the
way
that
they
make
so
much
money
or
get
so
much
money
donated
is
because
our
partners
rewards
members
can
actually
designate
the
school
that
they
would
like
to
receive
their
one
cent
per
wednesday
or
per
gallon
on
the
first
wednesday
of
each
month.
So
I
encourage
you
and
all
of
your
staff
and
students
to
sign
up
to
be
parker's
rewards
members,
so
that
you
too
can
designate
your
money
to
charleston
area
schools.
L
You
can
do
that
on
our
website,
which
is
parkerskitchen.com
and
today,
to
celebrate
this
new
partnership
between
parker's
and
charleston
county
schools.
I
am
thrilled
to
make
a
donation
of
five
thousand
dollars
from
our
fueling,
the
community
initiative
to
charleston
county
schools
to
be
used,
how
you
see
fit
to
support
the
measures
you're
having
to
take
during
these
unprecedented
times,
because
I
know
it's
been
a
challenge,
so
we
look
forward
to
the
partnership
and
thanks
again
for
letting
me
be
here
with
you
today.
A
So
I
am
honored
to
take
this
opportunity
to
make
this
next
presentation
and
recognition.
A
Mr
garrett
has
served
faithfully
on
this
board
and
has
represented
this
district
and
his
constituents
with
with
honor
and
within
consideration
throughout
the
process.
Mr
garrett,
you
have
shown
true
leadership
in
decision
making.
You've
shown
true
leadership
as
you
serve
faithfully
with
our
audit
in
the
finance
committee
and
making
sure
that
we
are
good
stewards
and
that
our
spending
are
within
line
with
educating
and
our
students
within
the
district.
I
am
proud
and
I'm
honored
to
have
served
with
you
for
this
period
of
time.
A
It
is
bitter
sad
to
see
that
you
are
leaving,
and
but
I
can
honestly
say
that
throughout
your
duration,
you
have
served
in
the
capacity
to
where
your
constituents
truly
respect
and
honor
your
decision-making
truly.
I
have
enjoyed
working
alongside
with
you
and
and
in
choices
and
decisions
that
you
have
made.
A
We've
worked
on
numerous
projects
together
and
we
have
discuss
items
that
is
in
messengers
of
the
district,
and
I
have
to
say
with
your
you
know,
your
contour
of
of
listening
and
wanting
to
explore
and
examine
and
re-examine
and
re-examine
to
make
sure
that
the
decision
that
we
are
making
are
favorable
for
the
district
and
for
our
students,
and
I
say
to
you
job
well
done
in
serving
in
your
capacity,
and
I
know
that,
as
you
move
forward
into
new
endeavors
into
new
areas
within
your
life,
you
will
remember
the
experiences
that
you
have
and
challenges
that
you
have
faced
within
ccsd
that
help
that
help
you
growing
and
become
better
in
decision
making
and
on
behalf
of
ccsd
and
on
behalf
of
this
board,
we
like
to
say
to
you
in
honor
of
your
service,
to
the
charleston
county
school
board
of
trustees
by
word.
A
A
Okay,
at
this
time
now,
we'll
have
starving
to
let
us
know
about
our
online
comments.
F
We
had
six
online
comments,
everybody
should
have
had
them
emailed
to
them,
and-
and
I
have
them
here
in
case-
anybody
needs
a
copy,
but
a
number
of
them
very
positive
from
jody
stallings
and
the
teacher-
oh
gosh
they've
been
in
charleston.
F
G
F
E
Thank
you
very
much
erica
taylor.
I
want
to
thank
you
for
almost
single-handedly
running
the
what
we
see
on
our
screen,
along
with
todd
and
evan.
Thank
you
for
all
the
backup.
So,
as
erica
has
put
the
slides
up
for
tonight,
I
will
just
go
ahead
and
start.
E
I
have
one
slide
don
mr
kennedy
has
a
slide.
Miss
taylor
has
a
slide
and
mr
browey
has
two
slides,
and
then
we
want
to
close
with
our
tribute
to
some
of
our
behind
the
scenes.
Heroes
in
charleston
county,
our
operations,
crew,
whose
hard
work
throughout
several
long
months
put
us
in
a
much
much
better
and
safer
position
to
reopen
school.
So
for
the
main
part
of
the
superintendent's
report
tonight
is
to
honor
our
operations
staff.
E
The
first
item
on
my
slide
has
to
do
with
the
fact
that
our
parent
teacher
conferences
are
underway
and
to
encourage
all
parents
who
might
be
tuning
into
this
meeting
to
make
sure
that
they
take
a
look
at
the
information.
That's
been
sent
home
if
you
weren't
able
to
come
in
for
a
conference
or
the
teacher
hasn't
had
time
to
schedule
it.
E
Some
students
actually
are
performing
as
well
as
they
did
at
the
beginning
of
last
year,
but
other
students
have
dropped
significantly,
it's
just
on
average.
We
were
where
we
showed
you,
so
we
we
definitely
want
parents
to
take
a
look
at
those
data.
Our
teachers
are
working
hard
to
reach
out
to
those
the
parents
of
children
who
fell
significantly
so
that
they
can
start
interventions
as
quickly
as
possible.
E
The
second
thing
I
wanted
to
make
sure
the
board
is
aware
of
that
is
that,
since
we
brought
back
all
the
students
on
the
waiting
list,
there
were
additional
parents
who
had
asked
to
come
back
to
school,
send
their
children
back
to
school.
We
had
indicated
we
would
try
to
make
an
on
and
off
ramp.
That
would
absolutely
activate.
E
As
of
november
11th,
though,
based
on
the
latest
and
we
think
final
survey
of
our
parents
for
the
first
nine
weeks,
we
will
have
about
60
of
our
students
attending
in
person.
Today
we
have
56
56
or
57
attending
in
person.
So
this
is
an
additional
somewhere
between
three
to
five
percent
of
more
students
who
will
be
returning
in
person.
E
We
will
also,
at
the
end
of
the
first
nine
weeks,
transition
out
any
students
whose
parents
are
uncomfortable
with
them,
staying
in
school
with
more
children
coming
back,
and
then
we
will
ask
our
parents
to
stay
steady
with
us
not
to
make
changes
the
second
nine
weeks,
because
it
makes
it
really
hard
for
teachers
and
students
to
adjust.
E
So
the
principals
have
to
work
really
hard
with
guidance,
counselor,
school
leadership
teams
and
teachers
to
make
sure
that
they
balance
the
caseloads
class
loads
of
students
who
are
in
class
and
online.
So
you
may
be
contacted.
I
think
you've
already
received
one
email
from
a
parent
saying:
please
don't
have
children
from
my
school
learning
with
children
from
another
school.
E
Those
three
classrooms
of
second
graders
might
be
collapsed
into
one
teacher,
so
there
will
be
some
teacher
transitions
that
will
have
to
happen
throughout
the
year
as
we
make
adjustments.
E
So
in
doing
all
that,
we
hope
to
reduce
the
number
of
teachers
who
are
having
to
teach
in
person
and
online.
At
the
same
time,
you
recall
you've
granted
an
e-learning
day
for
teachers
to
plan
with
their
principles
on
the
best
way
to
do
that,
so
I
I
simply
wanted
to
make
you
aware
that
that
that's
going
on
now,
if
parents
should
reach
out
to
you,
that's
the
context
so
so
you'll
have
some
idea
of
what's
happening.
E
K
Thank
you.
Thank
you,
dr
poster.
Wait.
It's
on
the
slide
here
says:
learning
pods
staff
has
taken
an
effort
to
to
determine
how
we
could
better
support
children
we're
developing
a
prototype
in
north
charleston.
As
the
slide
shows
here.
We
have
a
number
of
logistical,
administrative
and
also
regulatory
steps
that
that
we're
taking
on
the
regulatory
side,
for
instance
with
the
department
of
social
services
dss
for
any
sites
that
we
that
we
get
they're
not
school
sites.
We
have
to
have
a
license
through
dss.
K
We
will
pause
to
sign
this
week
in
the
next
day
or
two
agreements
with
three
of
those
we'll
finalize
the
fourth
one
later
this
week
and
then
by
first
and
next
week.
We
should
have
all
that
wrapped
up.
We
have
preliminary
budget
numbers
as
a
starting
point
to
figure
out
how
to
support
it.
I
don't
have,
I
won't
be
presenting
those
numbers
tonight,
but
we
do
have
those
preliminary
budget
numbers
and
we'll
communicate
with
that
gun,
communicating
with
the
parents
those
to
date.
K
We
have
approximately
eight
children
in
these
sites
and
the
intent
is
to
expand
that
as
soon
as
we
get
all
the
logistical
administrative
components
done.
There's
a
key
piece
of
this
that
that's
that
comes
next
and
that's
communication,
and
so
there's
a
tremendous
amount
of
research.
That's
taking
place
across
the
country
about
how
to
support
families
and
children
in
this
new
environment
that
we
have
carolyn
belcher.
The
chief
academic
officer,
has
keyed
in
on
two
of
those
pieces
of
research.
K
One
it's
about
academic
supports
and
one
is
about
how
to
engage
families
and
in
in
in
students,
and
so,
as
we
know,
during
the
with
the
cove
at
19,
we
have
a
tremendous
disruption
in
our
family's
life.
We're
asking
parents
to
engage
more
more
closely
in
their
children's
education
through
online
learning.
K
K
So
part
of
the
research
that
we
are
looking
at
looking
into
is
around
family
and
engagement
and
more
more
a
way
to
support
families,
and
so
a
big
part
of
this
work
is
figuring
out
how
to
actually
go
out
and
have
this
authentic
engagement
with
families
so
that
we
can
know
exactly
what
their
needs
are
and
how
we
can
support
them
along
those
those
needs,
and
the
second
piece
then
on
that
research
is
how
we
put
in
the
academic
support
for
students.
K
It's
one
of
the
things
that
I
think
I've
heard.
Maybe
miss
belcher
mentioned
to
the
board
here
on.
This
research
is
something
called
high
dosage,
tutoring
and
so,
where
you
have
up
to
two
hours
a
day.
Four
days
a
week
with
this
intensive
tutoring,
where
you
bring
people
into
a
tutor
students
based
on
the
content
that
they're
actually
learning
in
school
versus
tutoring
that
maybe
not
maybe
not
tightly
linked
to
the
to
the
classroom.
K
E
Thank
you,
mr
kennedy.
Erica
taylor,
our
chief
of
staff,
has
some
information
to
share
about
a
new,
a
new
app.
M
L
M
M
M
I
Board
and
dr
poster
wait.
I'm
clapping,
because
I
am
so
proud
of
the
communications
team.
Edward
boyd,
andy
pruitt,
stephen
wyatt,
sully
witty
that
they
have
really
taken
this
project
on.
We
officially
launch
on
october
28th
wednesday.
So
if
I'm
checking
everyone's
phones,
I
want
to
make
sure
you've
downloaded
this
app.
We
are
so
excited
to
be
able
to
communicate
with
our
parents
and
our
community
members
in
real
time.
I
Any
information
about
the
district
that
they
want
will
be
at
their
fingertips
and
we
are
going
to
work
especially
hard
to
make
sure
that
the
information
is
timely.
Its
current
and
everyone
knows
what
they
can
do
to
to
support
the
district
and
support
their
children's
schools.
So
we
are
excited
october.
28Th
is
the
date,
and
we
we
hope
that
you
enjoy
this
new
communication
tool
as
much
as
we
have
thank
you
for
allowing
us
to
share.
E
Thanks
erica
jeff
baroy,
our
chief
operating
officer,
is
going
to
close
this
out,
as
he
starts
by
reviewing
the
dashboard
metrics.
I
want
to
point
out
that
the
rates
in
our
community
have
gone
up
a
little
we're
still
under
the
ratings
for
the
high
level
on
the
number
of
incidents
per
hundred
thousand
and
the
percent
positive
we're
well
below
where
we
were
when
we
first
opened
school,
but
we
are
trending
up
a
little,
so
we're
keeping
an
eye
on
that.
E
We
are
officially
at
two
points
and
when
we
are
our
two
points
or
below,
if
the
board
wishes
to
make
a
change
in
our
operating
status,
the
board
needs
to.
Let
us
know
that
you
want
us
to
put
that
on
the
agenda
or
call
a
special
called
meeting.
What
we
do
is
monitor
not
only
the
dhec
metrics,
but
we
watch
school
by
school
by
school,
and
mr
burley
will
we'll
say
a
little
bit
about
that.
N
Thanks,
dr
postwaite,
I
I
will
just
add
to
a
little
bit
to
what
dr
postoway
just
said,
and
that
is
that
d
heck
is
looking
at
our
numbers
on
a
real-time
basis,
working
with
our
nursing
staff
and
and
so
far
we
haven't
seen
any
significant
heavy-duty
pockets
of
cases.
They've
been
spread
pretty
evenly
across
the
district,
but
again
we're
working
with
d
heck.
N
If
we
do
see
significant
changes,
we'll
be
able
to
adjust
accordingly
and
and
have
had
real
good
success
with
identifying
individuals
who
have
been
positive
and
identifying
the
close
contact
so
that
we
can
quarantine
those
individuals
to
reduce
the
risk
to
the
rest
of
our
students
and
faculty.
So
things
are
still
going
very
well
across
the
district,
so
the
staff
recognition
that
dr
postwaite
mentioned
earlier
related
to
engineer
related
operations.
I
would
like
to
thank
todd,
shafer
and
andy
pruitt
for
pulling
together
our
information
on
this
upcoming
slideshow.
N
We
have
eight
departments
across
operations
and,
having
been
in
several
contingency
situations
in
in
my
career,
I
would
rack
and
stack
each
of
these
department
heads
in
each
of
their
departments,
with
the
best
I've
ever
seen
in
their
respective
field,
and
that
really
has
has
really
resulted
in
a
situation
for
our
children
and
for
our
faculty,
where
we're
getting
things
done.
We're
making
things
safe
and
making
things
comfortable
and
and
really
a
welcoming
place
for
for
everyone
to
be
to
get
their
education.
O
The
five
auditorium
specialists
who
serve
in
our
high
school
auditoriums
have
stepped
up
in
our
schools,
both
inside
and
outside
of
the
auditorium.
Their
auditoriums
have
transformed
into
classrooms
and
their
skill
set
is
crossing
over
into
other
avenues
such
as
tech,
assistants,
radio
operators
and
hall
proctors.
O
Dairy
alliance
contributed
five
thousand
dollars
for
equipment
for
meal
distribution
and
packing
supplies,
meals
to
you,
home
delivery,
partnership
with
baylor
university
and
the
usda
reached
1126
students
and
provided
nearly
90
000
meals.
This
partnership
allowed
us
to
have
meals
mailed
directly
to
students
homes
once
a
week.
O
O
We
collaborated
with
the
information
technology
department
on
the
delivery
of
wi-fi
services
to
ccsd
students
without
internet
connection.
We
also
deployed
12
buses
to
various
locations
throughout
the
county,
completing
more
than
1
300
wi-fi
routes.
The
transportation
office
provided
an
I.t
support
bus
which
provided
transportation
for
it,
personnel
to
designated
locations
for
device
pickups.
O
During
the
early
stages
of
the
covet
19
pandemic,
the
transportation
office
implemented
disinfecting
protocols
on
all
400
buses.
We
transition
routing
from
the
vendor
to
in-house.
We
also
hired
two
new
routing
technicians
and
successfully
implemented
routing
software.
The
transportation
office
has
created
several
transportation
contingency
plans
in
anticipation
of
seating
capacity
restrictions
due
to
cover
19.
O
We
continue
to
improve
roof
integrity
through
a
comprehensive
roof
maintenance
program
that
has
consistently
reduced
the
number
of
active
roof
leak.
Work
orders:
the
total
number
of
roof
leaks
decreased
from
231
in
fiscal
year,
19
to
205
in
fiscal
year;
20.,
that's
an
11
improvement,
even
though
the
average
age
of
our
roofs
continues
to
increase
the
environmental
team
tuned
and
adjusted
hvac
systems
to
increase
fresh
air
supply
and
upgrade
air
filtration.
O
O
O
E
Muscle
so,
at
the
beginning
of
the
school
closures
in
march,
we
adopted
this
motto.
We
cannot
do
everything
our
communities
deserve,
but
our
community
deserves
everything.
Charleston
county
schools
can
do
for
them.
Our
people
took
that
to
heart
they
didn't
miss
a
beat
and,
as
you
can
see,
they
have
worked
throughout
the
summer
into
the
fall
to
make
sure
that
our
communities,
our
families
and
students
I'll
receive
the
very
best
caliber
services
we
can
provide.
E
A
Well,
thank
you
so
much
dr
postwaite,
mr
roy,
and
to
all
of
the
staff
for
your
hard
work
and
dedication
that
you
have
shown,
and
I
know
it.
It
goes
without
saying,
but
there's
a
number
of
times
where
the
amount
of
work
that
has
that
goes
in
and
we
see
the
end
result.
A
But
we
do
not
see
what
goes
on
behind
the
scenes
and
the
accomplishments
and
the
hard
work
that
had
to
come
together
to
make
this
all
work,
and
I
just
like
to
say
to
you
and
to
your
staff
a
job
well
done
in
helping
us
to
get
through
these
covet
situations
and
preparations
for
school
and
the
long
hours
that
was
spent
on
the
weekends
on
saturdays
and
sundays.
That
people
do
not
see.
A
So
it
was
not
a
monday
through
friday,
nine
to
five
job,
but
definitely
late
hours
in
the
evening,
and
so
just
want
to
say.
Thank
you
so
much
for
that,
and
we
do
appreciate
all
that.
You
do
for
us
and
your
staff
any
questions
for
the
superintendent
on
her
report,
reverend
collins,
the
most
hardworking
board.
G
G
G
G
If
we,
if
we
get
to
to
two
hundred
and
one
for
one
thousand,
then
that
would
be
high,
so
we're
not
far
from
the
high
mark.
Can
you
tell
me
how
the
points
were.
E
Yes,
sir,
that's
those
are
the
dhec
two-week
averages.
D
G
E
G
E
A
third
indicator
is
whether
or
not
the
trend
is
going
up
or
down,
so
we
stayed
medium,
but
even
though
we
stayed
medium,
our
cases
increased
a
little
bit
from
the
last
two
week
average,
and
so
we
lost
a
point
for
for
continuing
to
decline.
That's
that
and
that's
where
it
put
us
back
into
just
using
the
charleston
county
board
approved
point
system.
It
put
us
at
two
points
and
your
point
system
advised
the
administration
to
alert
you
anytime.
E
You
fell
into
that
category,
so
we're
we're
still
well
within
the
medium
range,
but
it
is
a
yellow
flag
to
our
community.
We've
got
to
to
make
sure
that
we
are
taking
care
with
our
social,
distancing,
wearing
masks
and
our
personal
hygiene,
and
I
will
tell
you
the
one
place
that
we
are
a
little
concerned
is
at
the
football
games.
We
had
two
of
our
all
of
our
high
schools
have
done
extraordinarily
well,
but
at
two
high
school
events
this
past
weekend
we
did
not
see
the
kind
of
social
distancing
that
we
would
expect.
E
So
we're
cracking
down
on
that,
and
we
would
hope
that
everyone
in
the
community
will
take
heed
and
and
do
their
part
as
they've
done
so
far.
Well,.
G
Hopefully
you
can
mark
the
bleachers
or
something
or
some
kind
of
pathways,
but
and
one
more
question,
mr
kennedy,
that's
it
too,
but
you
the
information
you
presented,
but
the
learning
pods.
G
So
I
was
trying
to.
I
was
trying
to
figure
out,
you
know
and
let's
just
confidential
the
world,
you
said:
eight
students,
nine
were
in
learning
politics.
So
what
facility
is
already
ready?
I'm
not
a
mister.
Maybe
I
didn't
hear
you
clearly
is
that
something
is
that
a
church
or
something
we're
using
or
one
of
our
properties?
What
is
that
we're
using.
K
Some
of
those
students
are
in
a
temporary
location.
They
are
in.
There
are
two
trailers,
that's
unused
at
goodwin
elementary
school,
okay,.
G
K
So
some
of
the
students
are
there
and
then
the
other
students
are
in
beyond
our
our
walls.
G
K
That's
one
of
the
challenges
that
we
have
so
the
the
hours
for
students.
Those
hours
are
from
seventh,
currently
from
7
30.
to
1
30,
and
so
I
mentioned
that
there's
a
a
great
need
for
for
us
the
district
to
understand
what
the
needs
of
parents
are.
So
we've
talked
to
a
couple
of
these
parents
that
they're
they
have
their
students
in
their
learning
parts,
and
the
dismissal
at
1
30
is
proven
to
be
problematic,
so
school.
I
think
for
the
for
them
that
their
school
ends
at
2
30.
G
K
K
So
we've
used
the
expanded
learning
department
to
recruit
additional
staff.
Those
staff
have
been
recruited.
I
think,
there's
a
an
orientation
thing
scheduled
for
early
this
week
for
the
for
the
staff
and
those
staff.
Are
we
also
waiting
for
the
the
the
clearance
from
from
the
state?
You
know
primarily
the
the
background
investigation.
F
Thanks
to
everybody
thanks,
mr
broadway,
for
the
great
work
girl,
your
team
is
doing
one
thing,
dr
postwaite,
that
you
commented
on
and
I
think
you
probably
have
heard
from
parents.
F
You
know
asking
not
to
have
their
kids
combined
doing
online
learning
with
other
schools,
and
I
this
is
my
just
my
personal
opinion,
but
I
think
we
all
have
to
be
realistic,
that
if
we
are
that
that
is
going
to
happen
sometimes
I
certainly
understand
the
whole
idea
of
not
having
montessori
with
traditional,
but
I
think
we've
all
got
to
be
prepared
that
if
we
have
six
kids
here
and
10
kids
here
that
that's
that's
gonna
have
to
happen,
and
so
whatever
we
can
do
to
support
you
all
on
that.
F
I
think
if,
particularly
if
parents
want
their
students
to
stay
virtual
all
year
long,
we
have
a
finite
the
number
of
teachers.
I
know
I'm
sure
we'd
love
to
add
some,
but
I
just
want.
I
want
to
support
y'all's
efforts
in
in
doing
that,
making
whatever
changes
you
need
to
do
to
provide
the
best
education
to
our
kids.
But
I
realize
that's
going
to
happen
so.
E
Thank
you.
That
concludes
our
portion,
reverend
mack
other
than
to
say,
unless
there
were
more
questions.
H
Yeah,
just
a
quick
comment,
a
question
for
dr
poster,
which
have
you
collaborated
with
any
other
districts
outside
of
south
carolina,
just
to
see
how
the
covert
was
affecting
their
schools
and
in
education,
and
another
thing
I
wanted
to
say
was
to
erica
taylor.
That
was
a
great
job.
I
love
the
work
that
you
just
presented
and
and
look
forward
to
seeing
that
app
implemented
in
the
near
future.
E
So
we
are
on
a
weekly
call,
with
the
100
most
of
the
largest
100
school
districts
in
the
country,
to
compare
notes
about
various
aspects
of
the
organization.
That
organization
also
provides
opportunities
for
collaboration
among
chiefs
of
staff,
the
chief
operating
officers,
the
hr
officers,
the
chief
academic
officers
and
the
financial
officers.
So
yes,
sir.
E
H
N
J
Period
of
time
you
know
not
many
times
we
we
feel
really
good
about
being
on
the
jumpscares
before.
J
And
I
I
I
I'm
sorry
that
we've
gotten
ourselves
into
this-
I
mean,
but
you
guys
have
done
a
yeoman's
job
at
you
know
tackling
this
without
any
experience
with
it.
So
I
just
want
to
relay.
A
L
E
Reverend
mack
we,
as
the
final
word
I
I
wanted
to
close
out
by
mr
hollington-
actually
did
it
for
us,
highlighting
the
work
of
erica
taylor
and
the
communications
team
and
reminding
everyone
to
download
the
app.
So
yes,.
A
E
A
So
I
was
just
getting
ready
to
say
to
let
mr
holland
should
know
that
the
app
is
alive
and
operating.
I
just
downloaded
the
app
myself
on
the
phone
so.
A
I'll
help
you
all
right.
Okay
item
was
approved
at
the
beginning
and
on
the
consent
item
nine,
a
I'd
like
to.
B
Make
a
motion
along
the
lines
of
rewarding
the
talented
team
we've
got
in
recruiting
future
talent.
I'd
make
a
motion
to
adjust
current
salaries
of
all
employee
groups,
to
move
to
no
less
than
98
of
the
market
salaries
in
next
year's
budget
and
no
less
than
100
of
market
salaries
in
the
following
year's
budget.
If
conditions
permit.
A
G
So
when
you,
when
you
say
90
of
the
the
market,
can
you
which
market
are
you
speaking
about
exactly
the
southeast
region
of
the
united
states,
so
you're
being.
D
Sir,
we
conducted
a
salary
study,
reverend
collins
with
fox
lawson
back.
G
D
D
G
So
so
we're
we're
talking
about
the
south
carolina
market,
united
states,
market
or
the
southeast
market.
Or
what
is
thinking
about.
G
School
district
yeah
some
sometimes
it
was
a
good
analogy.
It's
a
good
comparison,
but
sometimes
especially
atlanta
georgia.
We
just
don't
compare
to
that
to
the
cost
of
living
there.
G
G
D
A
A
All
right,
mr
holland,
said
how
do
you
vote.
G
A
A
That's
it
all
right
so
before
we
close
again
trevor.
D
A
Okay,
thank
you
for
noting
that
again
would
like
to
say
to
mr
garrett
that
truly
we
will
miss
you,
as
you
take
your
next
step
and
to
your
career,
and
we
look
forward
to
seeing
you
on
the
pathway
of
some
sort
or
somewhere
somewhere
or
another,
and
please
do
come
back
and
visit
with
us
and
give
us
some
type
of
encouraging
word.
Now
next
meeting
will
be
on
november,
the
9th,
which
will
be
the
committee
of
the
whole
meeting
and
then
our
regular
board
meeting
on
november.
