Said
there
could
not
be
a
new
school
built
on
the
site.
We
look
for
years
for
ways
to
combine.
We
had
talked
about
building
up
by
the
playground
right
next
to
the
Berkeley
County
line,
finding
a
place
to
build
a
school,
and
somebody
got
smart
and
said
we
can
build
a
school
at
the
site
and
it
is
outstanding
when
a
child
walks
into
this
area
like
when
Deb
and
I
walked.
In
this
morning,
we
felt
renewed.
F
Buildings
are
a
reflection
of
a
community's
commitment
to
its
youth
and
to
the
education
of
the
children,
a
physical
environment
that
shows
no
sign
of
care
or
commitment
communicates
that
same
lack
of
care
and
lack
of
pride
in
its
children.
I
can
remember
standing
across
the
street
in
2014
looking
at
this
school
and
it
looked
old
and
tired
and
worn
out
amazing
people
doing
amazing
things
inside
this
building,
just
like
when
mrs.
Mathilda,
Tilley
Dunston
was
here,
but
the
building
was
not
in
fitting
with
the
city
that
had
grown
and
flourished
around
it.
