B
A
Right
so
one
more
thing
with
we're
getting
to
the
results
from
this
year,
how
much
value
you
mentioned
some
of
the
intricacies
as
it
relates
to
this
date
report
card.
So
how
much
value
should
we
place
on
this
metric
if
you're
a
teacher,
if
you're
a
student,
if
you're
a
parent
community
member
district
staff
member?
How
should
we
view
these
data
for
the.
B
A
nice
analogy
would
be
a
classroom
teacher.
We
encourage
classroom
teachers
to
have
rubrics,
clearly
define
measures
of
how
they're
going
to
assess
a
piece
of
writing
or
a
test
of
some
sort.
The
report
card
gives
schools
and
school
communities
the
same
information,
so
we
know
exactly
now
how
we're
being
a
cest
I
think
that's
a
wonderful
component
to
be
sure.
Every
single
person
who
works
in
the
school
district
and
supporting
kids
knows
what
target
to
hit
so.
B
A
Want
to
single
out
specific
schools,
but
but
overall
one
really
neat
accomplishment
to
look
at
is
we
had
two
schools,
a
couple
of
schools
last
year
that
were
recognized
as
unsatisfactory?
They
both
moved
up
and
to
not
have
a
single
unsatisfactory
high
school
in
Charleston
County
school
district.
According
the
state
report
card
is
significant,
correct.
Oh.
B
It
is
significant
and
across
the
board
there
was
growth
and
in
every
area,
which
is
very
exciting.
Of
course,
our
goal
over
time
is
to
get
everybody
to
good
and
excellent,
but
for
the
first
year,
I
consider
that
phenomenal
growth,
even
within
categories
schools,
made
considerable
Ford
movement
and
the
point
values.
Unfortunately,
it
wasn't
enough
to
bump
him
up
to
the
next
category,
but
one
school
in
particular
grew
seven
points
and
that's
exciting
to
know
that
you're
so
close
to
the
next
category
that
entices
schools
and
school
communities
to
work
even
harder.
Something.
A
Else
positive
to
discuss-
and
you
mentioned
it-
nearly
half
of
our
high
schools-
are
rated
good
or
excellent.
Yes,
according
to
2019
state
report
card,
every
high
school
is
different,
but
are
you
seeing
some
consistencies
there
that
are
becoming
maybe
best
practices
that
can
be
instituted
and
not
just
those
high
schools
but
high
schools
across
our
district?
Definitely.
B
A
Thing
that
we
often
hear
from
parents
and
community
members
if
something
is
working
at
a
specific
Iceland,
we
have
the
the
highest
rate
of
high
school
in
the
state
of
the
court
in
the
state
report
card.
Are
there
programs
best
practices
that
could
be
copied
and
replicated
and
spread
district-wide
again,
knowing
that
each
high
school
on
each
high
school
community
is
different,
but
are
there
things
that
can
be
taken
from
those
high
schools
that
have
those
ratings
and
utilized
elsewhere?
Even.
A
B
Supports
that
kids
need
to
work
at
the
highest
levels
possible.
That
is
what's
happening
at
all
of
our
schools,
and
the
collaboration
piece
allows
principals
and
teachers
to
talk
with
people
and
the
trenches
so
to
speak
and
figure
out,
what's
working
in
real
time
that
they
could
take
back
and
possibly
implement
immediately
in
their
own
schools.
So
collaboration
and
differentiation
are
the
two
biggest
supporters
of
this
growth
and
I
know
it's
going
to
continue
this
year.
Also.
A
B
A
B
Big
categories,
its
processes
and
programming
having
the
principals
and
the
school
staffs
understand
exactly
how
each
of
these
components
is
measured
and
most
of
it
is
pulled
from
our
data
housing
platform,
which
is
power
school.
So
being
sure
the
right
data
is
getting
in
the
right
places
for
power,
school
and
drilling
down
child
by
child
and
ensuring
that
the
right
courses-
that's
the
programming,
would
be
in
place
for
them
to
graduate
on
time
and
be
CTE
completers
for
example.
B
A
Knowing
that
that's
in
place
having
something
positive
to
build
on
in
this
improvement
from
2018
in
2019,
where
do
we
go
from
here
as
a
district
at
the
high
school
level?
Because
you
enjoy
the
successes
and
they
should
be
celebrating
right?
But
you
don't
want
to
rest.
You
don't
want
to
get
complacent,
correct
right.
B
Our
goal
for
this
year
is
to
hit
almost
100%
for
career
readiness.
Really
every
child
should
not
be
graduating
unless
they
are
at
least
career
ready.
The
second
component
is
the
wonderful
work
that
the
academic
teachers
have
done
over
the
last
year,
drilling
into
rigor
discussions
and
being
sure
kids
are
being
taught
on
grade
level.
A
big
component
of
that
is
implementing
common
assessments
across
the
board
that
was
started
last
year
and
it's
being
embraced
across
the
board
this
year,
so
I'm
so
excited
to
see
what
the
teachers
in
the
classroom
are
going
to.
B
The
results
that
they're
going
to
achieve
through
this
effort,
because
their
relationships
with
kids
and
what
they
are
teaching
the
kids
and
engaging
them
on
is
the
most
critical
component.
So
we
want
to
be
sure
all
the
supports
are
in
place
and
that
they
continue
that
collaboration
piece
to
be
successful.
Sharon.
