happening
around
charleston
county
school
district
charleston
county
school
district
soccer
teams
won
three
championships
in
the
south
carolina
high
school
league
state
finals.
Last
weekend,
the
wando
girls
captured
the
5a
crown
by
knocking
off
j.l
mann
2-1
in
overtime.
This
is
the
warriors
11th
state
title
in
program
history.

Both
the
james
island
charter,
boys
and
girls
brought
home
state
championship
trophies
at
the
4a
level,
the
boys
blanked
eastside
1-0
for
their
first
state
title
in
program
history,
while
the
girls
edged
catawba
ridge
1-0
as
well
for
their
first
state
title.

earned

the

honors

seniors

early
college
high
school
were
honored
at
the
first
teach
local
signing
day.
These
scholars
are
pursuing
a
career
in
education
and

committing
to
teach
in
our
district

they
graduate

named
the

scholastic
journalist
of
the
year,
which
is
the
highest
honor
in
the
state
for
a
student

warrior
to
earn
this
award,

been

for
52
years
more
on.
