A
B
B
Welcome
back
everyone
to
CC
SD
today,
as
we
mentioned,
were
on
the
road
and
West
Ashley
at
seee,
Williams
middle
school
and
today
we're
pleased
to
be
joined
by
the
principal
Kevin
Smith
entering
his
third
year
here
at
CEO,
Williams
and,
first
of
all,
principal
Smith
kind
of
unique.
You
actually
attended
this
middle
school.
Obviously,
this
middle
school
means
a
lot
to
you
absolutely.
I
B
I
I
think
the
first
thing
that
I'm
really
proud
of
is
providing
a
wide
range
of
opportunities
for
our
learners.
Our
learners
have
the
opportunity
to
take
so
many
different
courses,
not
only
the
math
science,
social
studies
in
ela,
but
they
can
choose
from
a
wide
range
of
other
courses
as
well,
such
as
visual
arts,
creative
writing,
band
strings,
Orchestra,
chorus,
pre-engineering
course
that
we
just
started
this
year
and
just
many
many
more
and
whatever
we
can't
offer
during
the
school
day.
I
B
I
We
use
pride
as
an
acronym
as
part
of
our
PBIS,
to
really
get
over
to
students
that
there
are
certain
characteristics.
If
you
display
these
characteristics,
you
should
be
a
successful
individual,
not
only
in
school
but
also
in
life,
and
our
acronym
for
pride
is
being
prepared,
showing
respect,
having
integrity
being
dedicated
and
being
engaged
in
learning,
and
so
that's
what
I
would
hope.
Each
and
every
one
of
our
learners
would
say:
I
learners
and
our
adults,
but
that
what
pride
means
to
us
here,
Cee
Cee.
B
I
B
Know,
Kevin
you're
only
is
successful
as
the
people
that
work
for
you,
obviously
you're,
the
the
coach
or
the
leader
of
the
school,
but
you
have
some
outstanding
people
working
for
you
and
also
working
with
you
talk
about
your
staff,
the
ones
that
really
make
the
difference
each
and
every
day
in
terms
of
the
engagement
with
the
kids.
Well,.
I
I'll
say
this
for
the
benefit
of
every
staff:
member
who's
probably
going
to
see
this
each
and
every
one
of
them
do,
but
we
have
had
different
staff
members
who
recently
recognized
for
their
accomplishments,
and
so
that
includes
miss
Denise
Stanberry,
who
was
just
one
of
the
candidates
and
came
first
runner-up
for
CCSD
Teacher
of
the
Year
for
the
last
two
years.
Prior
to
this
year,
we
had
the
middle
school
rookie
teachers
of
the
year.
That
would
be
mr.
Kyle
Brazel,
who
won
that
award
last
year.
I
Who
was
our
chorus
teacher
and
the
year
before
him
was
Miss
Chris
Christine,
Casey
who's,
our
visual
arts
teacher.
We
also
have
teachers
who
are
being
recognized
just
by
being
asked
to
attend
certain
things.
People
coming
here
to
observe
our
teachers
because
of
the
great
things
that
has
gotten
out
about
them.
But
I
like
to
say
you
know.
I
B
Lose
wrap
up
the
the
school
year.
Of
course
that's
getting
ready
to
come
to
an
end
and
then,
of
course,
you
go
into
2015-16
year
calendar
when
you
look
back
over
the
course
of
this
year
or
there's
still
some
things
that
you
still
have
not
quite
accomplished
or
got
them
to
the
level
that
you
want
that
you
hope
to
accomplish
going
forward
in
the
future.
Absolutely.
I
Number
one,
our
large
push
that
we
really
have
begun
just
recently
has
been
project-based
learning.
We've
been
working
hard
to
get
professional
development
for
our
teachers
on
how
to
create
great
project-based
learning
experiences,
and
so
we're
doing
that
with
the
help
and
support
of
our
district
and
a
partnership
with
individual
who's
coming
in
and
providing
that
professional
development.
In
addition,
we
are
definitely
moving
towards
more
arts,
integrated
learning,
that's
something
that's
very
important.
I
was
an
arts
teacher
myself
and
here
at
C.
I
B
Know
every
principal
cares
about
their
schools.
We
talked
about
you
went
to
school
here,
but
if
I'm
a
a
parent
of
a
kid
here
at
CEO
waves
right
now,
you
have
to
be
awfully
excited
about.
What's
yet
to
come,
and
the
fact
that
you
have
someone
that's
in
charge
that
it's
not
a
job
to
me,
I
mean
it
really
is
passionate
because
you
have
so
much
invested
in
being
from
less
Ashley.
B
I
I,
do
you
know
and
I
feel
obligated
to
make
sure
that
make
a
difference?
A
lot
of
my
classmates
have
children
here,
folks
that
I
may
attend
church
with
have
children
here,
people
from
the
community
people
who
know
my
mom,
you
know
have
children
here.
So
it's
really
really
important,
but
one
thing
I
do
live
by
and
our
theme
for
this
school
year
and
I
believe
moving
forward
is
mutari
Mundi,
which
is
Latin
for
changed
the
world,
because
I
want
everyone
who's
working
here
to
understand.
It's
not
a
job.
B
Kevin,
we
sure
appreciate
you
letting
us
come
by
today
and
kind
of
take
a
look
at
your
campus
and
just
keep
up
the
good
work.
You
know
kind
of
talking
with
some
of
the
other
folks
in
the
Charlton
County
School
District.
They
had
nothing
but
praises
to
say
about
you,
know
job
you've
done
and
will
continue
to
do
so.
A
best
of
luck
to
you
and
the
Mustangs
and
I
was
alright.
We're
gonna
kind
of
take
a
little
tour
of
your
campus
and
see
what
else
we
can
get
into
absolutely.
We
welcome
you
all
right.

P
The
law
firm
of
young
defendant
rivers
has
been
serving
the
Charleston
Lowcountry
since
1968.
All
of
the
lawyers
of
young
to
McGruder's
are
proud
to
be
partners
with
the
Charleston
County
School
District.
We
were
convinced
that
the
hard
work
of
the
school
district
employees
and
staff
prepares
our
young
people
to
face
the
challenges
of
the
future.
We
look
forward
to
continuing
our
partnership
and
in
helping
the
school
district
to
meet
its
standard
of
excellence.
B
Welcome
back
everyone
to
CCSD
today,
I'm
Everett,
German,
filling
in
for
Erica
Taylor.
Well,
as
we
all
know,
reading
is
so
important
in
today's
world
and
I'm
pleased
to
be
joined
by
a
staff
member
camellia
Harris.
She
is
the
teacher
librarian
here
at
CEO
Williams
and
also
the
staff
member
responsible
for
the
back-to-back
summer
reading
championships
Dilys
in
the
middle
school
level,
so
camellia
first
of
all
tell
us.
How
did
you
guys
become
back-to-back
champions.
Q
It
has
students
and
faculty,
and
this
those
people
have
to
tell
me
not
only
what
they
or
they
have
to
read,
and
then
they
tell
they
have
to
actually
write
down
what
they've
read,
sometimes
especially
with
the
faculty,
it's
hard
to
get
them
to
they'll
read,
but
they
won't
tell
me
what
they
now.
How
do
I
do
that?
Well,.
D
Q
Anything
they've
read
it's
online:
it's
magazines,
its
books,
so
those
are
easy
with
the
books
and
the
magazines
because
they
can
do
number
of
pages.
But
if
it's
online,
it's
one
minute
per
page
is
how
we
equate
that.
But
anyway,
it's
really.
It's
really
been
good
here.
The
last
two
years
we've
had
some
incentives,
of
course,
but
I've
been
I'm,
really
proud
of
the
number
of
people
that
have
read
here,
see
and.
B
Q
B
Q
B
B
In
the
middle
school
level
in
terms
of
summer
summer
reading,
so
congratulations
thank
you
very
much.
All
right!
That's
camellia,
Harris,
the
librarian
here
at
VCE
Williams
and
talking
a
little
bit
about
summer
reading.
Of
course,
the
summer
is
right
around
the
corner,
so
make
sure
you
read
those
books
and,
more
importantly,
make
sure
you
write
down
what
you
read
and
send
it
to
this
lady
here.
So
thank
you
for
joining
us.
We'll
take
a
break
more
when
we
come
back
you're
watching
CCSD
today
over
at
Ziyi
Williams
we'll
be
right
back.
O
E
Just
made
it
easy,
it
is,
you
know,
it's
made
it
easy
and
the
kids
like.
O
R
S
Some
problems
are
tough,
reaching
your
customers
shouldn't
be
Blue,
Wave
and
Comcast's
have
the
creative
edge
to
make
you
stand
out
from
the
crowd
and
connect
with
your
customers,
whether
you
need
a
commercial
for
television,
video
for
your
website
or
a
custom
made
website.
We
are
the
easy
solution
for
every
advertising
problem.
I'm.
B
T
B
T
B
Coming
up,
obviously,
in
seconds
a
little
does
yeah
a
little
work
to
do
got
one
more
one,
more
step
to
go,
but
as
a
band
director,
normally
when
you
think
of
teachers
of
the
year
across
the
county,
you
think,
oh
you
know
someone
that's
in
a
core
subject,
but
to
be
recognized
as
a
band
director.
You
must
obviously
do
a
phenomenal
job
with
your
students,
you're.
B
Talk
about
being
a
man
director,
obviously
you're
teaching
young
kids,
the
the
ability
to
play
an
instrument
and
also
yet
be
well-rounded
with
all
the
instruments
and
reading
music
and
things
of
that
nature.
It's
talked
about
the
challenges
as
mean
a
not
only
a
band
director,
but
at
a
middle
school
level.
Well,.
T
The
biggest
challenge
is
that
we
start
most
of
the
students
here.
So
when
they
come
to
me
in
sixth
grade
they
don't
know
how
to
play
an
instrument.
They
don't
even
know
how
to
open
the
case,
and
so
we
teach
them
literally
how
to
do
that.
How
to
put
the
instrument
together,
how
to
make
a
sound,
and
so
that's
a
challenge,
but
by
the
time
they
get
to
seventh
and
eighth
grade
they're
already
well
accomplished
students
and
they
get
to
the
point
where
they
play
so
well
that
I
hate
to
see
them
go.
T
B
In
today's
times,
kids
are
so
well-rounded,
you
know
some
performing
ballet
or
they
may
do
drama
and
ban
and
just
to
give
them
an
outlet.
I
would
imagine
it's
just
very
rewarding
for
you,
as
you
mentioned,
it's
just
just
refreshing,
to
see
them
where
they
start
with
a
and,
and
obviously
you
have
a
spring
concert-
tell
me
that
pretty
soon
yes,.
B
Right
well,
miss
Danbury,
like
you,
said,
a
ton
of
capable
and
qualified
candidates
to
be
Teacher
of
the
Year,
but
you
are
the
one
for
seee
Williams
and
then
the
entire
Charleston
County
School
District,
finished
runner-up
and
that's
a
quite
an
accomplishment.
So
congratulations
to
you
and
best
of
luck
to
you
and
your
students,
the
rest
of
their
careers.
Thank
you
very
much
all
right.
B
So
that's
Denise
Stanbury,
the
band
director
here
at
CEO
Williams,
the
2014-15
CEO
Williams,
Teacher
of
the
Year
and
unfortunately,
the
Charleston
County
School
District
Teacher
of
the
Year
runner
up,
but
next
year,
she's
gonna
get
that
top
prize
and
BV
top
teacher
in
Charleston
County.
So
we
appreciate
her
time,
we'll
take
a
break
more
of
CCSD.
Today,
over
at
CEO
ames
middle
school,
we'll
be
right
back.
P
Law,

has
been
serving

All
of
the

of
young,
timid,
grillers
are
proud
to
be

the
Charleston

We
are
convinced
that
the
hard
work
of
the

We
look

to
continuing
our

and
in
helping

to
meet
its
standard
of

and.
B
Welcome
back
everyone
to
CCSD
today,
still
over
at
GE
Williams
middle
school
and
we're
about
to
talk
about
one
of
the
coolest
non
core
subjects
taught,
and
probably
all
of
Charleston
County.
Today
we're
here
with
Patrick
shell
he's
going
to
talk
a
little
bit
about
pre
engineering,
yes,
I
said
pre
engineering
at
the
middle
school
level
and
Patrick
C
Williams
fortunate
enough
to
be
one
of
the
only
four
schools
in
Charleston
County
that
offers
this
type
of
learning.
Yes,.
U
B
U
B
Know
you
look
at
Charleston
in
general
as
it
is
today,
you
look
at
Boeing,
you
look
at
Volvo.
That's
coming!
Definitely
a
need
for
this
type
of
learning
in
terms
of
engineering
building
things,
science,
math,
hands-on,
so
a
perfect
opportunity
for
kids
who
may
not
maybe
the
traditional
four-year.
You
know
student,
but
somebody
who
likes
to
be
hands-on.
This
is
what
a
great
opportunity
for
them.
It's.
U
Outstanding
I
mean
it
really,
you
come
in
and
you
just
get
an
opportunity
to
go
away
from
that
non-traditional
classroom
and,
as
you've
stated,
there
are
many
of
opportunities
here
in
Charleston
County
coming
and
we
need
people
to
fill
those
jobs,
so
they
need
those
opportunities
they
need
kids
to
get
in
on
the
ground
floor.
What
better
way
to
start
at
the
middle
school,
so
they
can
have
that
direction.
B
See
students
have
accomplished
a
lot
one
of
a
lot
of
wards,
recognized
for
a
lot
of
things
and
one
of
the
things
that
they
were
recognized
for
you
guys
just
recently
won
a
competition.
The
sea
perch
talked
a
little
bit
about
that
outstanding
accomplishment.
Okay,.
U
Well,
the
event
was
called
the
Charleston
challenge
and
the
group
of
middle
school
students
throughout
the
district
get
together
to
build
these,
and
this
is
a
our
OB
or
sea
perch
remotely
operated
vehicle.
We
usually
take
about
15
weeks
to
go
through
the
process
of
building
and
driving
it
in
the
pool
kids
meet
weekly
to
learn
about
the
engineering
process
with
this.
What's
really
fascinating
is
that
you
can
do
this
with
common
everyday
household
items,
kit
cost
about
two
hundred
dollars
to
build,
and
we
had
about
thirteen
students
participate
this
year.
Wow.
B
U
Alright,
we
start
off
by
talking
about
the
PVC
pipes.
There
are
a
series
of
connections
which
we
have
a
manual
that
we
go
through.
We
put
the
pipes
together
in
a
traditional
ROV
fashioned
shape,
which
is
a
box
shape,
sky's
the
limit
to
the
types
of
designs,
but
this
is
just
basically
a
stock
kit.
After
that
we
go
through
and
we
do
the
electronic
connections.
U
We
build
a
control
box,
we
build
motors,
which
you
have
a
left
or
right
and
an
up
and
down
thrust
motor
after
that
we
add
a
little
bit
of
negative
weight
for
buoyancy
and
we
add
a
little
bit
of
floatation
to
kind
of
keep
it
what's
called
neutral
buoyant
and
then,
after
that,
of
course,
we
put
in
the
water
and
kids
are
able
to
go
through
different
types
of
obstacles
in
the
fastest
amount
of
time,
best
possible
way
to
do
that.
There's.
B
U
The
hard
part
I
guess
for
most
students
is
actually.
This
is
a
control
box
like
you,
would
have
in
a
remote
car.
They
have
a
series
of
computer
chips
where
we
saw
our
electronic
components,
and
these
electronic
components
are
then
configured
together
to
have
a
left
motor
right,
motor
up
and
down
thrust
and
you're
able
to
maneuver
the
craft
and
the
water
in
a
variety
of
ways.
Wow.
B
That's
pretty
phenomenal
that
you
know
kids
again
in
middle
school
able
to
accomplish
this,
but
as
we
talked
about
I
mean
technology,
we
use
it
obviously
every
day
and
it's
more
and
more
bigger
opportunities
come
to
the
Lowcountry.
There
definitely
is
a
dire
need
for
this
and
they'll
think
it
back
to.
When
I
was
in
middle
school,
your
non
core
classes,
it
was
home
economics
and
keyboarding,
and
now
you
know,
kids
have
the
opportunity
and
just
a
chance
to
really
be
be
ready
for
the
future.
Well,.
U
What's
really
amazing
to
that
is
the
world
has
changed,
so
much
technology
was,
and
it's
kind
of
hard
to
use
the
antiquated
system
of
having
kids
copy
notes.
I
mean
everything
is
touch
a
button
swipe.
You
know
Wireless,
so
it's
all
connected.
So
what
I'm
trying
to
do
is
I'm
just
trying
to
get
kids
to
see
that
vision
and
hopefully,
they'll
want
to
embark
on
an
endeavor
to
participate
in
some
type
of
STEM
related
field.
You.
B
Know
and
as
we
all
know,
not
everyone's
good
at
test
taking
or
memorizing
facts
things
of
this
nature,
so
this
gives
a
kid
who
may
not
be
or
may
not
excel
in
that
area,
but
whose
great
hands-on
and
doing
you
know,
projects
and
procedures
a
great
opportunity
to
excel
in
life.
I
agree:
I,
agree
a
very
good
opportunity.
U
B
Right
well,
we
appreciate
you
letting
us
obviously
join
in
and
kind
of,
stop
it
and
see
what
the
kids
are
doing
today
and
it's
just
amazing
that
what
our
youth
are
doing
and
again
one
of
only
four
middle
schools
in
Charleston
County
has
this
pass
available
and
it's
available
here
at
CEO
Williams.
So
we
obviously
want
to
thank
mr.
shell
for
letting
us
use
some
of
this
time.
Thank
you
all
right.
That's
Patrick,
shell
leading
the
pre-engineering
in.
Maybe
you
see
one
of
these
engineers
here
in
the
near
future.
B
V
A
question
for
you:
what
does
this
look
like?
It
may
look
like
a
blank
screen,
but
it's
really
an
opportunity
for
you
to
reach
your
customers
with
a
great
television,
commercial,
video
for
your
website
or
website
design,
Comcast
and
Blue
Wave
productions
can
create
the
right
message
to
get.
You
noticed
call
today
and
take
the
opportunity
to
make
your
business
stand
out
from
the
crowd
and
welcome.
B
Back
everyone
to
CCSD
today.
Well,
we
hope
you
enjoyed
our
look
at
seee,
Williams
and
learning
about
all
the
great
things
going
on
at
the
school
special.
Thank
you
to
the
principled
staff
and,
more
importantly,
the
students
for
allowing
us
to
take
a
look
at
all
the
great
things
they
have
going
on
in
West
Ashley.
So
until
next
week
we'll
see
you,
then
thanks
for
watching
CCSD.
Today,.
