Hello:
everyone,
I'm
andy
pruitt,
director
of
communications,
with
charleston
county
school
district,
and
thanks
for
watching
our
newest
stories
of
ccsd
feature
in
this
installment.
We
are
going
to
take
you
to
st
john's
high
school,
where
the
school
resource
officer
and
teachers
have
created
an
opportunity
to
break
down
barriers
and
stereotypes
between
local
law
enforcement
and
the
community.
B
A
The
idea
came
from
the
school's
resource
officer,
adam
dimming.
He
actually
wanted
to
start
these
meetings
last
spring,
but
the
kova
19
pandemic
postponed
plans
turns
out
putting
this
program
in
place
was
extremely
helpful.
When
school
resumed
this
fall.
They
had
plenty
to
talk
about
following
a
challenging
summer
for
our
country.

E
I
would
say
how
I
feel,
and
they
would
give
me
responses
that
I
didn't
really
think
of
in
a
way,
but
it
helps
you
expand
your
mind
instead
of
you
just
thinking.
This
is
what
it
is
and
for
student
body.
It
has
definitely
helped
a
lot
of
students,
get
out
there
and
say
what
they
have
to
say
and
make
them
feel
like.
It
is
important
because
it
is
important,
I
think.

You
can
approach
a
police
officer,
you
know
we
are
people
and
also
you
don't
have
to
think
about.
Is
he
going
to
hurt
me?
Is
he
going
to
be
the
guy
that
doesn't
allow
me
to
go
home
tonight.
A
B
A
C
Only
benefit
not
only
the
police
department
in
charleston,
but
hopefully
it
makes
its
way
into
some
of
the
local
jurisdictions
and
they
can
get
on
board
with
this
and
and-
and
you
know,
it's
just
a
great
open
dialogue,
safe
space
for
these
kids
to
come
and
have
that
that
conversation
because
they
don't
hold
back.
That's.
