Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Good
afternoon
CCSD,
this
is
Don
Kennedy.
Coming
to
you.
With
this
week's
straight
talk
via
video
message,
I
appreciate
the
responses
to
the
survey
that
went
out
a
few
weeks
ago.
A
number
of
you
all
indicated
that
perhaps
during
a
video
straight
talk
every
once
in
a
while
might
be
good,
so
here
I
go
giving
that
a
try
again
and
so
I
appreciate
your
feedback
and
we
see
how
it
goes
in
the
future.
A
This
week's
straight
talk
I,
want
to
talk
about
two
things:
one,
the
incoming
new
school
board
and
then
the
holiday
break
coming
up
for
Thanksgiving.
So,
first
of
all,
as
you
know,
we
have
a
new
school
board
that
was
selected
last
week.
Eight
count
them
eight
new
members,
and
so
they
have
that
very
first
meeting
tomorrow
afternoon.
So
I
hope
you
will
help
me
welcome
them
to
their
new
roles.
They
have
a
lot
to
come
up
to
speed
with
very
quickly.
A
There
are
a
number
of
things
that
they
have
to
learn
how,
to
while
hand
on
their
new
responsibilities.
Some
examples
are
in
the
in
finance.
They
have
to
get
ready
to
approve
the
budget
for
fy24.
We
start
that
process
in
a
few
weeks,
right
after
that
we
have
to.
They
have
to
approve
the
issuance
of
about
90-
maybe
100
million
dollars
in
bonds,
to
make
sure
that
we
have
our
school
construction
program
up
and
running
and
keep
it
going.
A
They
have
to
respond
to
audit
concerns
that
come
in
and
also
as
well
as
issuing
contracts
with
various
reasons
in
the
operation
side
of
the
house.
They
have
to
issue
contracts
for
ensuring
that
we
continue
to
build
schools
and
renovate
schools.
They
have
to
issue
contracts
associated
with
school
bus
transportation,
as
well
as
other
things
within
such
as
land
acquisition.
A
Then,
on
the
academic
side,
of
course,
there
are
textbook
adoptions
that
the
board
has
to
approve,
so
a
lot
of
work
that
they
have
to
do,
and
my
staff
and
I
are
working
to
make
sure
that
we
make
it
easy
to
transition
for
them
into
in
their
new
roles,
and
also
next
week
is
a
break
the
holiday
or
the
fall
break
for
Thanksgiving.
So
I'm
very
thankful
for
several
things.
A
As
we
go
into
that
break
number
one
and
foremost,
I'm
thankful
for
all
the
dedicated
teachers
and
staff
that
we
have
that
either
work
directly
with
our
students
or
support
our
students.
We
have
over
6
000
employees
and
you
all
do
a
an
amazing
job
in
supporting
our
our
students.
Secondly,
I'm
I'm
thankful
for
me
to
being
able
to
engage
with
our
students
I'm
in
schools
a
lot
and
it's
always
a
delight
for
me
to
to
engage
with
our
students.
Most
recently
yesterday,
I
was
at
Baptist
Hill
High
School
and
the
CTE
program.
A
I
got
one
of
the
students
in
the
barber
program,
giving
me
a
haircut.
It
was
a
nice
fade
haircut
that
this
name
is
Ricky,
and
so
that
was
exciting,
so
I
met
Ricky
not
only
met
him.
He
cut
my
hair
as
well
as
met
some
of
the
other
students
in
the
barber
program
at
about
the
seal
High
school,
so
again,
very
delightful
to
be
in
schools,
with
our
our
students.
A
We
pay
attention
to
the
new
guard
rails
and
we
make
to
to
make
sure
that
we
have
a.
We
realize
Vision
2027,
of
all
students
reading
on
grade
level
by
grade
five.
So
as
we
go
into
the
break
next
week,
I
wish
you
a
happy
holiday
break,
be
safe,
be
thankful
and
enjoy
your
time
off
and
I
look
forward
to
working
with
you
when
you
get
back.
Thank
you
very
much.
