From YouTube: Straight Talk with Superintendent - March 3, 2023
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Good
afternoon,
CCSD
good,
seeing
you
all
again,
this
week's
Straight
Talk
is
coming
to
you
via
video
I,
have
some
a
very
special
guest
today
on
my
Straight
Talk.
These
are
kindergarten
students
from
miminger,
elementary
school
and
I'm
here
to
talk
with
them.
I
have
been
talking
with
them
this
morning
about
their
dreams
and
how
I
can
support
their
dreams
to
make
sure
that
their
dreams
are
a
reality
for
themselves
and
also
for
their
communities.
You
all
heard
me
talk
before
and
right
before
that
one
of
my
strategies
is
to
look
across
the
country.
A
Take
a
look
at
other
school
districts,
other
other
states
to
see
what
they're
doing
to
improve
student
outcomes,
and
one
such
example
is
the
city
of
Boston
and
Boston,
the
Boston
Public
School
System,
where
they
have
created
this
Pre-K
to
12
ecosystem,
a
system.
That's
all
people,
all
communities,
the
entire
Community
comes
together
to
support
the
well-being
and
the
growth
of
their
children,
and
we
are
doing
such
the
same
thing
here.
A
In
Charleston,
we
created
this
Pre-K,
the
12
ecosystem,
where
we
have
we're
reaching
out
to
our
Civic
Partners
to
our
non-profit
Partners,
our
faith.
Community
partners
and
others
within
the
community
to
make
sure
that
we
come
together.
A
We
understand
what
the
dreams
are
of
all
of
our
students
and
that
we
can
come
together
to
help
those
dreams
come
become
a
reality
and
so
I
think
that
it's
it's
dreams
of
students
of
our
children
can
help
connect
all
of
us
across
Charleston
County
and
as
I
think
about
the
impact
of
my
ability
as
a
child
to
dream
and
how
that
impacted.
A
My
life,
the
life
of
my
children
and
my
grandchildren,
I'm
looking
for
the
same
thing
for
all
of
our
students
here
in
Charleston
I,
have
written
a
letter
today
to
all
kindergartners
in
Charleston
County
School
District.
That
letter
is
asking
each
kindergartner
to
think
about
three
big
questions:
what
dreams
do
they
have
when
they
leave
kindergarten
going
into
first
grade?
What
dreams
do
they
have
for
themselves
when
they
become
teenagers,
as
I
talked
to
the
kids
this
morning,
when
they
become
big
kids
and
then
what
dreams
do
they
have
for
themselves
when
they
become
grown-ups?
A
What
do
they
want
to
do
in
life?
Where
do
they
they
want
to
go?
Who
do
they
want
to
do
those
things
with,
and
so
today,
I've
shared
that
letter
and
a
video
with
all
elementary
school
principals
and
all
kindergarten
teachers
and
those
teachers
and
principals
are
going
to
help
The
Kindergartners
across
Charleston
County,
to
write
to
me
or
draw
me
a
picture
or
even
send
me
an
email
with
the
help
of
that
teachers
explaining
what
their
dreams
are
and
then
we
as
adults
we
as
you
go
into
the
weekend.
A
I
would
like
for
you
to
think
about
the
dreams
of
our
kids
and
what
we
together
can
do
to
understand
those
dreams
to
be
able
to
support
our
students
as
they
work
hard
to
make
their
dreams
a
reality,
so
that
in
the
future
they
are
strong
students
in
the
future.
They
see
their
dreams
coming
true
and
the
dreams,
therefore,
of
our
community
come
true,
so
you
all
have
a
great
weekend
and
I
look
forward
to
sometime
in
the
near
future
share
some
of
these
dreams
of
our
students
with
you.
Thank
you.
