this
community,
it's
been
hard

a
lot

family

hard

this
community
people

have
been
affected

it

whatever

they're
finding

officers

speedway

Club
Friday
night

street
crime

detail

found

suspect

looking
for

had
outstanding
warrants

it
to
take
34
year
old,
Roger
heard
into
custody,
heard
pulled
out
a
weapon
and
shots
were
fired,
her
died
in
the
gunfire
and
one
of
our
officers,
Kelton
Batterson
was
wounded,
and
let
me
re-emphasize
that
once
when
these
things
happen,
it
is
protocol
for
the
TBI
to
be
able
to
handle
these
investigations.
It's
not
the
agency,
that's
involved
that
has
anything
to
do
with
the
initial
investigation
and
that's
at
the
request
of
the
Hamilton
County
District
Attorney's
office.

been
on
the
department
for
five
years
on
officer
dice,

four-year
veteran
with
the
Department
and
I

don't
know
if
I

baddest

been
on
the
department

nine
years,
we're
in
full
cooperation

turned

everything

we

charged

violent
crimes,

never

a
violent

said
that

video
was
released

want

we're

fear

officers

rear
view
and

get
nervous
and

city

ticket

three

not

surveillance

young

ground

went
to
college

fear,

sons

fearing

not

they'll

imprisoned

all
kind
of
small
crimes,
don't
be
wrong
most
of

time
it's
wrong.
They
have

abide

when
they're
gunned
down
it'll

matter
if
they're
a
crackhead,
it
doesn't
matter
if
they're

gang
because
there's
all
kind
of
gangs.
If
we're
going
to
talk
about
it,

have
motorcycle
gangs
and
if
you
look
at
my
eyes,
you
got
politicians,
you
got,
you
got
Democrats,
you
have
Republicans.

of
it
is
some
sort
of
a
gang,
and
it's
not
right
for
us
to
be
labeled
as
violent
people,
because
we
rolling
packs
in
our
own
ways.

just
I'm,
tired
of
being
afraid,

know,

haven't

a
problem
for
me

son,

have

lot

people

I
love
that
have
black
sons

frustrating

country

predominant

rest

the

Jody
Lynn
growing
up
things
like
equality
and
love
were
not
things
we
discussed

the
dinner
table.

was
what
we
did.
My
mother
is
short
and
sweet,
just
like
her
mother,
my
grandmother
and
we
all
taught
each
other
to
love
one
another.
There
were
times
when
things
were
lean
and
money
was
tight.
My
mom
wasn't
being
mean
she
was
holding
all
together
when
things
really
weren't
all
right.

Dreams
honor.

mother

commandment

also

shalt,
not
kill

Jesus
needed

think
he

mother
honor
means

the
greater

speaks
of
joy

love
perfected
to
love
one

as
a
Commandment
that
Jesus
gave
to
all
of
us
and
we're
all
children
of
God
who
love
each
other.

loved

other,

child
loved

other
we'd,
have
a
civil
society
and
a
mild
sense
of
reality,
we'd
call
it
neither

nor
charity,
not
wild
or
scary.

just
call

means
setting
aside
personal
goals

funeral

down

and
