Be
able
to
run
your
you
know
your
washing
machine,
your
your
washer
dryer,
your
dishwasher,
all
of
these
things
and
be
able
to
be
reliable.
We
we
have
kind
of
three
areas
of
focus.
You
know
reliable,
affordable
and
increasingly
clean
right.
So
those
are
the
things
that
we
like
to
be
known
for,
and
I'm
eager
to
talk
about
all
of.

minute
ago.
You
know
the
idea
of
staying
cool
and
and
being
able
to
save
money,
while
you're
doing
that,
ultimately,
like
I,
don't
want
to
present
this
as
if
it's
not
on
some
level.
You
know
a
personal
decision
right,
there's
a
balance.
Oh,
it
is
between
your
comp
comfort
and
your
cost,
but
I
know
that
there
are
lots
of
different
tips
out
there
and
I'd
like
to
to
hear
some
of
the
ones
that
you
might
recommend
for.

Maintain
the
comfort
that
you
expect
right
and
not
break
the
bank
is
what
we'd
like
to
be
able
to
do
so.
I
think
a
helpful
thing
at
the
beginning,
when
we
start
talking
about
this,
that
I
try
to
remind
people
is
to
think
about
the
differential.
You
know
think
about
okay,
ideally
in
an
Ideal
World,
how
how
comfortable
do
I?
What's
the
comfortable
temperature,
the.

Temperature
for
me
right
and
think
about
where
that
is,
and
then
you
kind
of
think
of
okay.
Well,
what
can
I
live
with
because
I'll
tell
you
optimally
if
you?
If,
if
all
you
care
about,
is
saving
money,
we'll
tell
you
set
your
AC
during
the
summer
at

degrees,
right,

lot
of
people,
they
hear
that
and
they
think.

there's
ways
you
can
work
around
that.
So
you
know
a
lot
of
people.
They'll,
say:

the
most
common
thing
that
I
hear
from
people
is

just
want

going

bring

tip

I
like
to
give
everybody
right
right
off
the
bat
in
terms
of
big
savings.
That's
one
of
the
the
easiest
things
you
can
do
is

set.
If
you
like
it,
it's

Same
time
that
might
stress
out
and
Fry
one
of
your
appliances
if
you've
got
if
you're
running
everything
at
full
capacity
during
a
really
hot
day,
it's
not
just
about
what
you're
getting
charged.
But
it's
about
taking
good
care
of
your
appliances
and
your
your
HVAC
guy
will
tell
you
our
gal
will
tell
you
the
exact
same
right
thing,
but
yeah
so
think
about
things.

You
know
if
the
best
times
to
run
your
to
just
to
have
stress
for
ear,
give
your
appliances
a
stress-free
life,
try
to
run
your
you
know:
non-essential
washer,
dryer
dishwasher,
run
them
in
the
early
morning
or
late
evening.
Right.
So
that's
another
tip,
keep
doors
and
windows
closed.
You
know
when,
if
it's,
if
there's
a
cool
breeze
outside
work
with
it,
you
know,
but
if
it's,
if
it's
hot
outside
it's
best
not
to
you
know,
leave
windows,
cracked.

So
you
know
that's
one
of
those
things
you
put
down
some
additional
insulation.
That's
going
to
save
you
money,
some
of
these
things.
Yes,
they
come
with
upfront
cost,
but
in
the
long
term,
they're
going
to
save
you
things

think
about
that.
Look
at
your
doors!
Are
there
any
if
you
can
see
light
anywhere,
if
there's
like
anywhere
in
the
door.

If
you
want
to
weatherize
your
home,
you
want,
to
you
know,
replace
repair,
your
windows
or
whatever.
Yes,
that's
gonna,
you
know
cause
there's
a
lot
of
cost
in
there,
there's
also
the
cost
of
of
stressing
out
your
HVAC
system
to
the
point
where
it
breaks,
and
so
there's
a
lot
of
things
that
you
can
do
to
sort
of
save
money
by
spending
money,
but
for
the
future
right
that
this
sort
of
helps
everything
out
one
of
the
ways,
obviously,
to
save
some
money.

thousand
kilowatt
hours,
then
you
might
save
a
bit
more
if
you
use
lessons
a
little
less
but
on
the
average
right
14,
so
that
was
enabled
by
bipartisan
legislation
passed
in
the
2023
General
Assembly.
It
eliminated
about
seven
bucks
in
monthly
charges,
and
the
law
also
allowed
us
to
seek
the
regular
regulatory
approval
to
spread
out
fuel
costs
over
a
multi-year
period,
which
that's
the
other
half
of
the
equation.

know
that
there
are
a
lot
of
folks
out
there
who
you
know
in
the
summer,
because
your
energy
costs
might
be
higher
than
normal
talk
a
little
bit
about
sort
of
what
that
program
entails.
I
think
it's
something
you
guys
been
doing
for
a
long
time,
but
tell
me
a
little
bit
more
about
that.
Energy
share
program.

Absolutely
so
last
year
we
celebrated
40
Years
of
energy
share,
so
it's
been
around
quite
a
long
time.
This
is
something
that's
it's.
It's
funded
in
by
a
couple
of
sources,
the
shareholder
funding,
there's
a
little
bit
of
State
funding
right
and
then
there's
you
know:
donors
people
can,
on
their
bill,
say
they'd
like
to
donate
right.

That's
that's.
Those
are
the
things
that
can
you
know,
qualify
you
for
Energy
share,
so
it's
not
like
an
income
based
right
program,
but
we
look
at
your
situation
and
you
know
it's
it's
for
people
that
you
know.
They've
been
had
struggled
to
pay
for
a
couple
of
months
and
then
we
we
locate
route
them
to
their
local
agency.
It's
a.
A

Take
a
look
there
and
determine
you
know
if
it's
time
for
an
upgrade
or
or
whatever-
and
you
know-
and
so
it's
a
custom
custom
solutions
for
for
each
case
right.
So
that's
a
newer
thing

you

like
I,
said
last
year
it
was
the
40
40th
anniversary,
so
we
did
a
really
cool
thing.
We,
we
weatherized
40
homes,
oh
cool
in
40
days,
and
that
was
a
great
experience.

my

Offer
now,
obviously
you
know
this
summer,
you
know
most
folks,
probably
not
thinking
you
know,
they're
more
worried
about
saving
money
by
you
know
changing
the
thermostat-
or
maybe
you
know
swapping
out
a
window
here
or
there
making
sure
that
the
the
kids
aren't
opening
the
the
side,
glass
or
whatever
yeah,
but
something
for
you
know
an
option.
You
know
down
the
road
and
certainly
something
that
has
been
been
I.
Think
on
people's
minds
is
alternate.

You
know:
forms
of
energy,
certainly
solar,
having
just
attended
an
event
not
long
ago
here
in
Chesterfield,
where
we
flip
the
switch
on
11,
different
County
and
school
buildings
that
added
solar
panels,
real
quick
for
folks
who
might
not
be
aware
of
that.
It
offsets
more
than
76
000
tons
of
carbon
dioxide
to
put
them
on
these
County
school
buildings.
It's
a
partnership
with
Dominion
as
well
as
Sun
tribe.
Basically,
they
put
solar
panels
on
the
southern
roofs
of
these
11
buildings,
going
to
make
like
3.1
megawatts
of
energy.

That's
been
that's
right,
cool,
so
matter
of
fact,
one
of
my
first
things
here
was
an
electric
School
Bus
event.
Well,
it
still
blew
my
mind
that
a
bus
could
be
both.
You
know
electric,
but
also
this
massive
battery
that
could
you
know
that
somebody
could
plug
into
in
times
of,
like
you
know
if
the
grid
was
down
or
whatever
just
kind
of
blows,
my
mind
that
all
that
stuff,
you
know,
are
real
options.
You
know
what
I
mean.

So
yeah,
so
that's
a
really
cool
and
exciting
thing,
and
we've
partnered
some
of
these
first
buses
that
we've
we've
done
different
phases
of
this
program.
But
in
the
the
first
phase
we
would
basically
own
the
battery
and

give
but
let
the
yellow
cattle
right
locality
use
it
right.
So,
with
the
understanding
that
we
could
use
it
overnight,
right
and
and
use
some
of
that,
Power
right
when
they
weren't.

Wasn't
gonna
do
that
I
wasn't
getting
one
word
answers?
No,
but
yes,
it's
a.
We
do
see
more
opportunities
for
solar,
I
think
the
the
biggest
restricting
factor
for
anyone
who's
trying
to
approach
it
is
if
they've
got
appropriate
light
yeah.
So
if
you're,
if
you
live
in
a
heavily
wooded
area,
it's
a
little
harder
and
you
know
if
you've
got
local
solar
installer,
which
we
now
do,
we've
got.

peak
time

Nest
will
essentially,
you
know,
move
the
the
thermostat
as
needed
so
that
one
I'm
always
in
control
of
it.
So
if
there's
a
day
and
let's
say
I've
just
walked
a
dog

really

AC
to
actually
be
on
and
I
don't
need
it
to
be

whatever
that
number
might
be.
I
can
come
in
and
make
that
change
myself,
but
otherwise,
especially
on
a
day,
if
you
know
I'm
in
the
office-

it
doesn't
necessarily
matter
as
much,

opportunity.

this
is

newer
program.

be
a

you

a

two

started
this.

was
an
initially
10
000
customers
that
were
able
to
do
it
filled
up,
and
then
we
asked
recently
to
expand
it
and.

get
approval
from
the
SEC
to
expand
this
program
and
they
doubled
it.
So
right
now
you're
one
of
the
first
in
phase
two
and
where
we
you
know,
we
had
ten
thousand
slots.
Now
we've
got
twenty
thousand.

people
who
are
interested
in
this-
and
you
know
peeling
back
the
curtain
a
little
bit
to
talk
about
what
what
exactly
this
is
and
how
it
works.

Basically
it

dishwasher

any
other
kind
of
Appliance,
but
if
they're
on
the
time

use
program,
it's
gonna
steer,
hear
you
in

right
direction

tell

use
different
appliances

you

using
your
nest
or
whatever
smart
smart
home
system.
You've
got
it'll
help.

optimize

Super
we're
super
excited
about
this,
so
we
are
building.
What
right
now
is
the
first
large
scale
utility
scale
offshore
wind
farm
in
the
nation.
The
plan
is
to
build
it
out
to
176
turbines.
These
things
are
huge,
so
this
is
one
of
the
coolest
things
I've
gotten
to
do
here.
I
got
on
a
boat
in
I,
got
on
a
boat
in
Virginia,
Beach
and
I
went
with
27
miles
off
the
coast
of
Virginia.

one

these
just
to
give
you
a
sense
of
it
they're
what
just
the
portion
that's
above
the
water
is
the
size
of
the
Washington
Monument,
oh
wow,
so
massive
they're,
huge
and
they're
right
now.
We've
got
two

part

pilot
they're
about
a
mile
apart,
okay
and
we're
gonna
build
out
to
176,
and
that
is
going
to
be
ultimately
at
full
capacity.

they're
cranking.

threat

of
Mid-Atlantic
tends
to
hit
a
little
bit
later.
We've
already
seen
a
couple
named
storms
out
there

just
curious

to
go
ahead
and
kind
of
head
get
ahead
of
the
heart
of
the
storm
season.

you
think
about
Essentials
things
that
you
and
your
family
need
make
sure
you've
got
some.
This
is
time
to
build
up
your
emergency
kits
right.
So
you
know
non-perishable
food
water
get
some
bottled
water.

hand,

know
anything
that
you're
gonna
need
make
candles
lantern
battery
operated,
lanterns.
You
know,
of
course
batteries.
You
know
anything
you're,
gonna
need
for
for
light
or
energy
make
sure
that
you've
got
you

I
picked
that
up
and
I'm
I
haven't
even
gotten
it
out
of
the
box,
yet
I'm
gonna
plug
it
in
and
see
make
sure
that
it
works,
but
yeah
I
mean
there's
also
various
consumer
level
battery
products
you're
going
to
pay
for
it
right,
but
it's
actually
more
affordable
than
a
generator.
If
you
just
need
the
Bare
Essentials,
you
know,
I
got
to
make
sure
my
phone
doesn't
die.
I
got
to
make
sure
that
you
know
I
can
if
you've
got
a
small
medical
device.
