So, thank you for tuning in to artzo wonderful, show, I'm, Bruce, Wilson and today is our grant re-grand opening of art, so wonderful gallery and performing center. So we had it our performance who are so wonderful, you've got our spaces. Now is 8 000 square feet and I will have a stage and we're gonna have open mind, poetry, slam, Jazz, you've, Symphony Orchestra is going to perform here and um it's oh, it's gonna, be so incredible and so I'm very excited about all this.

To get people opportunities to Showcase, a talent and our new performing center and new art gallery and- um and today is like all this incredible art is in here. Wow I have never seen so much art in all the days we had our in our galleries, because our other galleries wasn't as this large, but artists have stepped up for themselves to present their art in our Gallery, because this is what we do.

We help them with their um showcase their art in places like our places, whereas normally they might not have opportunity to do so, and the good thing about our art gallery is that we don't charge to hang out for you to our head art on the wall and we only we only make 30 percent.

So the artists get 70 percent of the proceeds of their work and I I really appreciate that the most a lot of people know Arts are wonderful from all the incredible murals that we have around primarily around City County 60 of those murals. Are ours. You'll see those incredible meals with our logo on it says: ASW, aren't so wonderful and we give artists an opportunity to showcase their art and um places that they normally won't be able to do it. I can't say they won't. They can't do it, but it's really easy with us.

Just tell us that you want to put on on a mural or on an electrical boxes, guess what you got it soon, probably the same week and we Supply the pain as well. You know we use our sponsors, our incredible sponsors, to help us like um feral properties. You know in Jeff Myers and you haven't won investors and these incredible people who help us in Main Street Landing. They help us because they believe in the work we do for the community.

Our programs have over 50 Awards and um we have done over 700 events since 200 2003, and this will give individuals and opportunities showcase their talents once again in places that they probably won't.

You know we probably won't have a chance to like first night Kids, Day, jazz, fest um parks and recs, and we do so many cool events through the years and um probably since the events we've been doing since probably like 1999 and so I'm so happy to be able to do that and we charge them absolutely nothing a lot of most times people get paid to do these um shows with us, because we use our incredible sponsors who believe that individuals should have showcased their talents educationally music and art, which we most um Who, We Are, um and so for me, Bruce Wilson, um all right!

This is the best moments I can ever do. In my whole, entire lifetime is work with people help them with their Community stuff and um I am proud to do. The governor appointed me to the Human Rights Commission I'm, a commissioner for the Human Rights Commission commissioner for children. County Regional planning sent a lot of boards. You know, Green Mile, Transit, Vermont food bank and we see school district and all I do was serve the people in the community.

That's what I do that's the best that I am and so um I'm hoping that everybody will come to University. Mall also want to know for gallery and performing center to check us out and um learn about this art and soon I'll be talking about the art and our next segment.

My name is Elizabeth and I came across this place just by walking in the mall and uh I feel everything happens for a reason, and that is why I'm here, I've connected with Bruce regarding my own artwork and I, have a plan to Showcase it in July.

um I feel that places like this are important to reconnect people with art and their fellow human beings through you know, different facets of um just artwork and song and just coming together, so yeah and this place is magical. So thank you for having me.

Hi I'm Jennifer Barr I'm, one of the local artists who is featured in the Arts, a wonderful gallery opening today April on May 20th. um These are a couple of my works with mountain lions and also collage.

And pastel and collage artwork, the Art's, a wonderful Gallery is a multi-use space, so it's got both visual art like I, create and music performance, art and I'll. Take you through a little bit of my work in the gallery. Here are some other works of mine that are collage and drawing mixed media on different themes, dance and trying to capture elements of spirituality that tie together, narrow narratives.

And here's some more of my work. The top is lemon drop, which is an alcohol ink and it ties in with the piece that's directly below it, which is a collage piece which highlights hidden lemons and writing. Elements of musical notes and poetry.

I also have done artwork with alcohol inks and had a theme of love. Love love like the Beatles song.

I did more artwork with paper and was capturing a series called burnout where I was working with migraine and not able to see well but trying to capture a feeling of the frustration and try to turn it into something beautiful with mixed media so burnt paper and pencil.

Moving along to an artwork that is not unlike Aurora ink blot but trying to capture the sensation or the visual light that comes through on a full moon, and this work was in India, Inc and gold picture that is featured at the gallery.

More works from the burnout Series, where I was working on paper and trying to capture nature, found objects and India Inc Indigo inks were used in these just trying to create a yin and yang feel, along with coffee grounds and experimenting with texture.

This piece is of what I would call a mountainscape and the feel of sandpaper, which is how a migraine feels and feeling very Jagged myself. I was trying to capture an emotion and feeling of.

So I'm Michael Gaffney I've been working with art, so wonderful for well over a decade now doing you know marketing promotion, General development, I'm really excited about this new venue brings together a great sharing of local and internationally famous artists. It's also a great performance space. We have very talented musicians here today and hopefully it'll be a boom to the community. We are open, for you, know various events or anything. You might need a venue for great art, great space, one of our better programs, along with our murals.

We have a mural actually right here in the mall, and uh you might have seen some of our work in downtown Burlington. There's like a heron along with a black lives matter, mural over on uh downtown.

um We do various. You know graffiti removal, surfaces and uh artist cultivation on that point. Hi, my name is Louisa makuku and I'm. The CEO of Main Street Landing I'm very happy to be here today as a sponsor well for Main Street Landing to have been a sponsor of this event today and to generally support the artists that are exhibiting here. It's an opportunity for so many different artists from different walks of life to have their work represented in a gallery, and you know hats off to Bruce for doing this.

Hi I'm Sophia Mendez I'm very lucky to be able to be singing here for the art, so wonderful opening gallery I also happen to have a piece of artwork in the gallery.

um This is a base that I painted it's a four string base and I filled it with a lot of my favorite things like flowers in animals.

Most importantly, is the hummingbird I think I'm from Paraguay, so it represents like the soul, that is a passion, fruit, flower and that's also a very paraguayan flower and I just got inspired by plants that I saw when I was a younger kid and then up towards the top part. There are a couple of poppy flowers and it's like a Duo kind of like it was a gift for my ex again, so it was like both of us up here and yeah.

It's like full chock, full of a lot of meaningful stuff and one of my favorite pieces I've done.
