A
A
So
it's
it's
about
the
teamwork
of
it,
and
that
was
really
the
idea
behind
this
award.
It's
the
award
is
the
Sophie
masloff
Employee
of
the
Month
award
and
recognises
mer
masloff,
not
only
as
a
mayor,
but
as
a
public
servant
throughout
her
entire
life,
it
worked
to
make
Pittsburgh
a
better
city
for
the
people
that
live
here
and
recognizing
all
of
those
people
in
all
of
our
departments,
who
are
the
ones
that
have
been
doing
it
for
years.
B
B
I
know
there
was
a
many
times
their
friend
was
on
vacation
and
she
may
not
have
been
out
of
town,
but
she
came
in
on
her
vacation
because
she
wanted
to
make
sure
that
the
program
was
running
right
or
the
the
the
sheets
were
corrected
or
whatever
needed
to
be
done
and
I
mean
that
shows
you
there.
How
much
Fran
is
dedicated
to
her
work,
she's
been
with
the
city
now
for
how
many
years
Fran
for.
B
Thirty
years
and
she
started
off
as
a
auditor,
and
it
seems
like
each
year
or
every
two
or
three
years,
she
works
her
way
into
another
position,
which
is
right
now:
she's
the
tax
compliance
supervisor,
which
is
wonderful
because
she's
hands-on
with
everything
that
we're
doing
you
know
going
through.
You
know
trying
to
implement
our
new
system
so
Fran.
You
know
we
I,
really
appreciate
your
support
that
you've.
A
She
received
her
Bachelor
of
Science
degree
from
Robert
Morris
and
later
received
her
master's
of
management
and
technology
from
Carlow
College
and
whereas
in
June
1999
Francis
has
been
known
for
her
steadfast
hard
work
and
determination.
She
was
promoted
to
the
position
of
Auditor
and
in
June
2005
was
promoted
to
serve
as
Acting
finance
administrator.
She
now
serves
as
supervisor
of
the
Tax
Compliance
office
and
whereas
Frances
our
friend
to
her
colleagues
goes
above
and
beyond
her
duties
to
address.
A
Taxpayer
concerns
she
monitors
employees,
work,
performances
and
is
always
ready
to
help
out
in
other
areas
of
the
department
when
needed,
and
whereas,
during
her
spare
time,
Francis
is
an
AB
Baker.
She
always
brings
in
her
brownies
cookies
and
treats
for
all
to
enjoy
her
famous
holiday
slush
has
become
a
staple
each
year
in
the
department
and
whereas
Frances
is
active
in
her
community
outside
the
service
to
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
A
She
serves
as
the
treasurer
for
the
Morningside
Area
Community
Council
Saint
Raphael
Parish,
share
coordinator
parish,
council
minister
of
holy
communion,
ladies
of
charity,
traditional
Irish
dancing.
She
is
a
founding
member
of
the
Pittsburgh
cello
Club
in
a
member.
The
performing
group
now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
I
William
Peduto,
mayor
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh,
do
thank
Francie,
Francis,
II
Piske
for
her
decades
of
service
to
the
people
of
Pittsburgh
and
the
Department
of
Finance,
awarding
her
the
mayor,
Sophie
masloff
Employee
of
the
Month
award
for
September
2019.
A
Furthermore,
declaring
Monday
September
30th
2019
is
Francis
II,
Piske
Day
here
in
our
most
livable
city
of
Pittsburgh.
Thank
you
for
all.
You
do
for
the
people
of
Pittsburgh.
Thank
you
for
all.
You
do,
for
the
community
of
Morningside
and
for
st.
Raphael's.
Thank
you
for
all.
You
do
working
with
your
fellow
colleagues
in
making
every
day
that
they
come
to
work
a
little
bit
better.
Thank.
C
B
C
Just
wanna
say
thank
you:
it's
been
fun
to
work
here,
I
started
out,
I
was
going
to
always
stay
seven
years,
but
we
started
a
new
computer
system.
The
ISAT
system
and
I
got
it
really
involved
in
that
so,
and
I
really
enjoy
working,
especially
with
the
taxpayers
that
are
having
problems.
So
I'll
stay
another
couple
years.
A
It's
just
a
director
folks
that
are
here
from
the
Department
of
Finance.
Thank
you.
Probably
the
last
person
in
government
that
people
want
to
deal
with
is
the
tax
collector,
as
you
know
that
there
there
aren't
many
times
when
people
say.
Thank
you.
It's
usually
on
the
other
side
that
you're
you're
getting
it
and
people
asking
questions
you
deal
with
people
when
they're
at
their
lowest,
but
realize
that
every
time
that
you
help
just
one
of
the
case
you're
helping
somebody
to
get
back
to
a
point
where
they're
able
to
help
themselves.
A
So
thank
you
for
what
you
do.
Thank
you
for
keeping
the
gears
moving.
There's
a
lot
of
rules
in
city
government.
Without
the
finances
to
run
the
city,
no
one
else
could
be
able
to
do
their
jobs.
So
thank
you
for
your
time,
your
service
and
what
you
do
for
the
people
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
Thank
you.
Thank.
