B
B
C
Dr.
George
and
everyone
from
the
space
supercomputer
group
would
come
up
I
understand
we
have
some
students
who
might
be
on
their
way.
So
it's
not
often
I
was
just
saying
it's
not
often
that
our
proclamations
come
with
graphics.
So
this
is
very,
very
exciting,
so
yeah,
some
props,
so
I'll
jump
into
it,
whereas
dr.
Allen
George
founded
the
National
Science
Foundation
Center
for
Space,
high-performance
and
resilient
computing,
Schreck
at
the
University
of
Pittsburgh,
in
September
2017
and
whereas
Shrek's
research
focus
is
mission.
C
Whereas
with
these
two
successful
space
space
projects,
shrek
is
now
developing
two
more
missions
to
the
ISS,
encouraging
greater
collaboration
across
the
University
of
Pittsburgh
and
attracting
more
attention
to
prospective
students
in
becoming
the
next
generation
of
space.
Engineering
researchers
now,
therefore
be
it
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
celebrate
the
significant
impact
of
dr.
D
F
Well,
thank
you
so
much
for
this
honor.
We
greatly
appreciate
it.
I'm
joined
by
my
colleague,
professor
Matt,
berry
from
mechanical
engineering
I'm
from
electrical
and
computer
engineering
at
the
University
of
Pittsburgh
I
know,
professors
are
known
for
talking
for
a
long
period,
so
I'll
keep
this
very
brief.
A
quick
overview
of
our
story.
F
We
are
an
NSF
National,
Research
Center
NSF
is
the
National
Science
Foundation
we're
a
national
research
center
called
Shrek
like
the
animated
character.
The
essence
Trek
stands
for
space
and
we
focus
on
research
and
technology
and
education
in
space
computing,
high-performance
computing
and
resilient
computing.
We
were
supposed
to
be
joined
by
about
eight
or
ten
of
our
thirty
graduate
students,
but
it
seems
they're,
either
in
class
good
for
them
or
lost
on
the
way,
but
we're
very
much
a
student
centric
center.
We
are
a
partnership.
F
Our
Center
consists
of
four
universities
and
about
36
industry
and
government
partners
for
about
40
partners
and
all
working
together
on
research
in
this
area.
Now
it's
funny,
if
you
ask
all
of
the
students
what
they
wanted
to
be
when
they
were
kids,
I.
Think
almost
everyone,
including
a
mad
at
myself,
might
say
they
wanted
to
be
astronauts
and,
in
a
sense,
that's
what
we
are
we're
living
vicariously
through
our
technology,
we're
developing
space
computing
space,
sensing,
space,
communications
technologies,
we're
flying
them
and
we're
testing
them
right.
F
F
In
fact,
when
I
was
an
assistant,
professor,
my
biggest
scare
in
the
world
was
when
my
students
that
was
recruiting
for
grad
school
would
say
to
me:
no
I'm
not
going
to
grad
school,
because
I
want
real-world
experience
and
that
hurt,
but
they
never
say
that
anymore,
because
now,
on
this
type
of
a
Center,
they
get
real-world
experience
every
day,
working
side-by-side
with
these
companies
and
agencies.
So
in
closing,
I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
this
honor
and
dr.
F
berry
for
his
many
contributions
and
our
dozens
and
dozens
of
students
that
space
missions
possible
and
maybe
I'll
help
by
pointing
out
what
you're
looking
at
on
these
posters
in
the
middle
is
our
second
space
system,
the
one
that
launched
last
May.
That's
the
space
supercomputer,
it's
a
tower.
It's
gold
on
the
outside
to
reflect
some
of
the
sun's
energy.
It
has
the
Pitt
logo.
On
top,
you
can
see
the
two
camera
lenses,
that's
sitting
on
a
table
in
our
lab
in
Oakland
and
then
on
the
left.
Here.
F
Of
course,
that's
the
International
Space
Station,
it's
hard
for
me
to
point
out,
but
in
the
bottom
middle
section
our
system
is
attached
there,
but
we're
way
too
far
away
for
you
to
see
it
very
clearly.
But
if
you
were
to
zoom
into
that
location,
then
you
would
see
what's
on
the
third
poster
that
was
taken
by
the
robot
arm
on
the
space
station
that
that
big
white
box
over
there.
C
You
know
it's
amazing,
we
don't
know
what's
happening
in
Pittsburgh
until
until
you
have
opportunities
to
learn
about
these
kinds
of
endeavors
and
just
right
down
the
street
from
us.
This
is
what
we're
doing
truly
incredible.
Can
we
get
all
members
up
here
for
a
photo?
I,
don't
believe
this
here,
more
people
together.
E
E
H
H
H
And
you
would
think
that,
just
one
day
we
could
have
peace
all
over
the
world
and
hopefully
we
do
on
September
21st.
This
proclamation
reads
bigger
letters
here,
whereas
in
2001
the
General
Assembly
of
the
United
Nations
unanimously
adopted
resolution
55
82,
thereby
declaring
September
21st
of
each
year
as
International
Day
of
Peace,
and
we
are
asked
consequently
to
the
intent
of
this
resolution.
H
All
people
institutions,
organizations
worldwide
are
invited
to
celebrate
a
day
of
peace
and
non-violence
by
creating
their
own
unique
demonstration
for
prayer,
along
with
a
variety
of
other
spiritual
and
sector
observance,
and
whereas
it
is
the
hope
of
the
United
Nations
and
all
participants
involved
in
Internet
in
the
International
Day
of
Peace,
that
such
a
fer
mention
activity
will
ultimately
work
to
support
a
global
ceasefire
to
occur
annually
on
September
21st
and
whereas
mr.
Stian
will
and
mr.
H
al
Schneider
to
Pittsburgh
residents,
have
written
arrangements
and
recorded
one
day
of
peace,
a
song
specifically
composed
for
International
Day
of
Peace
and
whereas
locally
the
International
Day
of
Peace
will
be
commemorative
and
celebrated
with
a
number
of
activities,
including,
but
not
limited
to
peace.
Vigil
special
programming
on
PC
TV,
21
awareness
events
hosted
by
Arab
national
air
ambulance
and
charter
CCBC,
the
Community
College
of
Beaver
County
Davis
design
and
development,
Freedom
Area,
School,
District,
sisters
of
st.
Joseph
and
Wednesday
night
Basketball
Association
and
whereas
mr.
H
Poe
mess
has
been
a
driving
force
in
this
commemorative
of
the
International
Day
of
Peace
in
Peace
Day
within
the
city
of
Pittsburgh,
Allegheny,
County
and
other
surrounding
counties
using
his
talents
time
and
a
sense
of
commitment
to
show
that
Pittsburghers
are
committed
to
practice
of
peace
worldwide
and
now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
Thursday
September,
21st,
2000
19
to
be
international
day
of
peace
and
peace
day
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
They.
I
I
J
And
as
a
reminder,
I'm
sorry
I'm,
sister
Carrie,
with
the
sisters
of
st.
Joseph
and
just
a
reminder.
The
theme
this
year
for
International
Day
of
Peace
is
climate
action
for
peace,
and
so
there
will
be
a
climate
March
outside
of
this
building
Friday
at
noon
and
I
just
like
to
invite
you
to
look
at
our
personal
lifestyles
how
the
way
we're
living
might
be
affecting
our
climate
and
also
what
types
of
industries
were
inviting
into
our
region
and
how
that
might
affect
our
climate
and
thereby
affect
world
peace.
Thank
you.
K
Good
morning,
I'm
sister
Barbara
from
the
sisters
of
st.
Joseph
and
for
the
last
18
years,
I've
organized
events
here
in
Allegheny,
County
and
as
sister
Carrie
alluded
to.
This
is
a
day
that
helps
us
to
remember
to
and
bring
to
our
consciousness
that
we
are
to
practice
all
forms
that
eliminate
all
forms
of
violence.
So
I
invite
you
to
consider
that
in
your
private
lives,
but
also
your
public
lives
and,
mr.
K
L
L
E
M
Good
morning,
good
morning,
we
were
here
once
before,
for
you
were
here
once
before
for
a
proclamation
for
Denise
Alice,
who
also
became
a
national
Jefferson
Award
winner.
So
now
you
can
see
it
runs
in
the
family
because
we're
here
today
with
Sharon's
Ellis
white
and
just
just
an
amazing
family
that
they
do
so
much
in
our
community
and
mostly
just
give
back
to
the
community
where
they
live
and
beyond.
M
Thank
you
for,
for
all
that,
you
do,
whereas
Sharon's
Ellis
white
is
the
founder
and
executive
director
of
the
five
James
Foundation,
a
nonprofit
organization
which
benefits
widows,
orphans
and
women
in
Kenya,
Uganda,
Mexico
and
the
city
of
Pittsburgh,
and
whereas
the
five
James
Foundation
was
first
in
2011.
After
a
trip
to
Kenya,
where
mrs.
M
You
have
all
kinds
of
talents
and
whereas,
in
addition
to
her
work
with
the
five
James
Foundation
Sharon
is
currently
supporting
two
young
girls
in
to
attend
the
neighborhood
Academy
and
she
is
a
member
of
the
Allegheny
Center
Alliance
Church,
where
she
is
the
administrative
core
tear
for
an
after
school
and
for
an
aftercare,
jail
and
prison
ministry.
Support
group,
the
facilitator
for
the
grief,
share
and
founded
the

the
widows
ministry
and
whereas
miss

is
the
author
of
an
award-winning
book.
B
N
N
O
P
Well,
Sharon
I've
known
you
for
about
10
years
and
the
history
of
Christian
heroism
is
a
picture
of
people
under
great
suffering,
exhibiting
great
resilience,
great
courage,
great
determination
and
astonishing
faith
and
I
know
you
two
have
suffered
so
much
with
the
loss
of
the
five
Jameses
and
I've
watched.
You
return
to
a
place
of
incredible
victory
and
power
in
your
life
and
I
salute
you,
you're
an
amazing
person
and
it's
a
privilege
for
me
to
know
you.
Thank
you.
I.
G
Want
to
thank
Council
for
recognizing
this
outstanding
woman
and
I
had
the
privilege
of
being
in
Africa
with
her
on
the
trip
that
when
she
came
home
she
said
I
buried
my
loved
ones
on
the
continent
and
came
home
and
decided
to
make
a
difference
in
her
world,
and
she
has
done
that
in
spite
of
as
you've
heard,
the
personal
pain
and
and
that
she
has
been
through.
But
we're
just
all
here
to
say
that
Sharon
knows
Ellis
White
is
the
real
deal.
G
What
you
are
recognizing
here
today
is
is
a
person
of
significance,
a
person
of
substance,
and
all
of
us
are
the
better
for
having
known
her.
So
thank
you
again
for
this
honor
for
her
and
please
all
of
you
keep
up
the
good
work
and
we
over
at
Allegheny
Center
Alliance
always
have
you
in
our
prayers,
so
keep
up
keep
up
the
good
work.

The

is
that

is
facilitated
by

D
A
concern
of
the
City
Council
is
citizen
speech.
My
position
is
that
the
freest
least
censored
citizen
speech
is
crucial
to
our
democracy.
A
sub
concern
of
the
Pittsburgh
Council
is
therefore
accountability
for
or
of
district
representatives.
Concerning
speech,
especially
in
this
context,
the
actions
of
a
dr
mirror
actions
of
the
city
council,
leader
focal
point
1
when
the
representative
of
any
of
the
nine
council
districts
interrupts,
causes
trouble
for
a
citizen
during
public
comment.
D
This
is
mirroring
the
pattern
that
has
been
offered
over
the
last
five
years,
at
least
by
president
Kraus,
in
his
disruptions
of
the
public
comments
of
GM
pollo
2016
Brown,
2013,
14,
15
and
Miller
2015
I
on
the
global
intelligence
society
conclude
that
mr.
Kraus
has
unconstitutionally
constricted
Pittsburgh
citizen
speech,
citizen
speech
when
Miss
gross
interrupted
me
17,
July
2016.
D
She
was
mirroring
mr.
Kraus.
The
second
focal
point
is
that
when,
when
the
Reverend
mr.
Burgess,
he
calls
himself
that
recites
the
profanity
prohibition
he
is
mirroring
mr.
crosses
delusional
prohibition
that
is
found
nowhere
in
the
Pittsburgh
City
Council
rules.
So
the
probabilities
are
that
challenge
to
retention
of
counselor
offices
are
point
nine,
five
probability
for
the
representative
of
district
3
and
0.75
for
district
7
and
0.50
for
district
nine.
There
will
be
a
class-action
suit
against
this
council
thanks.
Q
Name

Miss
hair
and
mr.
Smith
I've
been
cleaning
as
I
said,
we
so
much
as
tossed
me
around
the
building.
Okay
and
a
lot
of
times.
You
know
I
realize
when
you're
using
your
hands
a
lot
of
times
your
mind
or
take
you
different
places.
Let
me
tell
you
where
my
mind
took
me:
my
husband,
Harold
Brown
was
working
for
the
Pittsburgh
Housing
Authority.
For
many
years.
We
did
landscaping
islands
on
the
side,
for
it
was
the
widow's
on
our
street.
Q
We
would
do
their
work,
but
anyway
he
taught
me
how
to
to
tip,
and
he
taught
me
about
the
weeds,
see
the
weeds
are
strong
they're
in
the
foundation
they're
dug
into
the
ground,
they're
they're
packed
in
here.
If
you
think
you
can
just
pull
the
weed
out,
you
can't,
but
you
showed
me,
you
wiggle
it
you
move
it
around,
you
shake
it
and
you
can
even
twist
it
and
you
can
pull
it
all
of
the
comes
out.
I'm
saying
this
because
of
the
way
mr.
Q
Q
Like
he's
brown
out
hey
when
I
was
over
there,
the
county
council,
they
explained
to
me
cuz,
they
were
saying
I
said
well,
the
wit
is
not
gonna.
Let
me
speak
cuz
I
called
name,
they
said
no,
they
can't
do
it
alone.
The
whole
council
makes
that
decision
now
when
he
made
the
decision.
They
only
give
me
one
minute.
