B
A
Whereas
mr
brandon
walton
is
a
banksville
area
resident
and
has
been
an
employee
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh
since
february
of
2019.,
and
whereas
mr
walton
serves
as
the
fleet
service
manager
in
the
office
of
management
and
budget,
where
he
is
responsible
for
the
maintenance
and
purchasing
of
the
entire
city
of
pittsburgh
fleet,
which
consists
of
hundreds
of
vehicles
and
whereas
mr
walton
oversees
many
critical
duties
to
the
daily
operation
of
pittsburgh's
government.
This
includes
identifying
equipment
that
can
be
repurposed
to
new
fleet
vehicles.
A
Analyzing
vehicle
usage
trends,
redeploying
underutilized
vehicles
to
other
departments,
collaboration
with
first
vehicle
services
to
lower
the
repair
and
maintenance
costs,
while
ensuring
availability
of
vehicles
for
departments
to
provide
a
high
quality
of
service
to
the
residents
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh.
And
whereas
mr
walton
was
a
key
player
in
the
ability
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh
to
obtain
grant
awards
for
alternative
fuel
vehicles
such
as
electric
vehicles
and
compressed
natural
gas,
refuse
packers.
A
This
included
the
purchase
of
the
first
ever
city
of
pittsburgh,
hybrid
interceptors
in
2020,
whereas
mr
walton
has
managed
and
implemented
the
replacement
of
a
dated
fuel
master
system
with
a
newer
and
more
efficient
fuel
card
management
system,
and
whereas
mr
walton's
service
extends
beyond
the
city
of
pittsburgh.
He
is
a
current
member
of
the
pennsylvania
army
national
guard
where
he
serves
as
a
maintenance
control
sergeant
there.
He
is
responsible
for
the
health,
welfare
and
mentorship
of
four
soldiers,
while
occasionally
serving
as
a
platoon
sergeant,
where
he
is
responsible
for
25
soldiers
and
three
ncos.
A
Additionally,
he
supervises
the
execution
of
the
battalion
maintenance
program
on
various
vehicles,
weapon
systems
and
electronic
equipment.
Now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
I
william
peduto
mayor
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh,
to
thank
mr
brandon
walton
for
his
service
to
the
people
of
pittsburgh,
awarding
him
the
mayor,
sophie
masloff,
employee
of
the
month
award
for
october
2020.
A
Furthermore,
declaring
monday
october
26
2020
is
brandon
walton
day
here
in
our
most
livable
city
of
pittsburgh.
Congratulations,
my
friend!
Thank
you,
sir!
That's
yours!
This
is
yours.
The
mayor,
sophie
masloff
employee
of
the
month
award
presented
to
brandon
walton
in
recognition
of
your
dedication
and
services
to
the
citizens
and
guests
of
pittsburgh.
B
B
All
your
hard
work
that
you
do
day
in
and
day
out
to
work,
not
only
with
us
internally
but
with
external
departments,
doesn't
go
unnoticed
to
make
our
fleet
available
for
daily
services
is
not
an
easy
thing
to
do.
um
You
do
a
great
job
at
it
um
and
you're
fantastic
to
work
with
um
constantly
trying
to
you
know,
save
money
for
the
taxpayers
and
for
the
city
and
do
more
with
less.
We
certainly
appreciate
all
your
efforts
and
again
just
thank
you
and
congratulations.
A
C
Oh
well,
thank
you
so
much.
Oh
it's!
It's
really
been
a
pleasure.
This
past,
almost
two
years
working
for
the
city,
um
definitely
um
a
great
honor
to
work
for
a
city.
I
love
um
you
know
doing
something.
I
love
I
love
vehicles
and-
and
I
love
all
the
plans
to
move
forward
with
the
alternative
fuels
and
all
these
people.
They
help
make
everything
happen.
So
it's
not
just
me
that
could
take
credit
for
some
of
the
things
that
we
do.
Everybody
works
with
me
every
day.
A
Thank
you,
brandon,
I'm
going
to
say
one
last
word
just
to
uh
your
old
team.
That's
out
there!
uh
Thank
you.
uh
Omb
this
year
has
been
more
trying
than
most.
I
told
the
news
media
today.
This
is
probably
the
most
difficult
budget
season
that
we've
had
since
2003
and
in
that
year
mayor
murphy
called
on
us
to
have
a
leap
of
faith
budget
that
we
would
go
to
harrisburg
together
and
get
the
revenue
we
needed.
uh
We
don't
get
to
do
that.
uh
We
didn't
work
then,
so
we
have
to
do
a
real
budget.
A
That's
going
to
try
to
minimize
the
negative
impacts
as
best
we
can
and
for
all
the
work
that
omb
has
been
doing
during
the
not
only
one
of
the
hardest
budgets
in
the
city
of
pittsburgh's
history,
but
on
top
of
that,
covid19
can't
say
enough
to
thank
all
of
you
so
before
we
went
into
presenting
the
work
that
you've
been
working
on
for
months.
We
just
wanted
to
pick
one
person
from
the
office
for
this
month
to
say
on
behalf
of
all
the
people,
the
city
of
pittsburgh.
A
A
This
was
the
fake
of
what
the
meeting
was
about,
uh
but
the
new
fleet
will
be
silver
and
brandon
has
been
working
on
that.
That's
just
the
obviously
the
police
vehicle
ambulances,
but
he's
been
putting
up
with
my
craziness,
is
the
best
way
that
I'll
describe
it
uh
and
that's
probably
the
least
part
that
makes
the
job
fun.
