Good
morning

to

council

C
B
Thank
you
very
much
as
we
join
together
from
our
reload
reload
remote
locations,
those
who
wish
may
rise
for
the
pledge
of
allegiance,
followed
and
by
a
moment
of
silence,
I
pledge
allegiance
to
the
flag
of
the
united
states
of
america
and
to
the
republic
for
which
it
stands.
One
nation,
under
god,
indivisible
with
liberty
and
justice
for
all.
B
B
Thank
you
very
much,
then
our
next
order
of
business
is
public
comment.
I
would
like
to
remind
everyone
that
the
rules
of
council
state
that
comments
are
limited
to
matters
of
concern.
Official
action
or
deliberation
which
are
or
may
be
before,
council
profanity
will
not
be
permitted,
and
so
your
concern
should
be
things
that
council
will
be
discussing
or
concerned
about
all
right.
I
have
three
speakers.
C
C
C
B
D
Yes,
greetings,
greetings,
I
am
the
irrequired
confederacy
of
aboriginal
american
people,
and
I
want
to
remind
everyone
that
aboriginal
indigenous
peoples
of
the
america
are
here
near
the
city
of
pittsburgh
and
surrounding
areas,
and
our
voices
must
be
heard
at
city
council
and
we
must
come
together
and
have
a
meeting
to
express
again
our
government,
the
government
relationship,
as
outlined
in
the
constitution
at
article
1,
section
2
clause
3,
which
states
and
excluding
indians,
not
tax,
again
house
congress
resolution
331-100
congress
second
session
outlines
a
specifically
state
that
we
are
to
be
dealt
with
on
a
government-to-government
basis.
D
With
that
being
said,
there
are
more
of
our
people
here
than
than
what
people
may
realize
and
we're
not
to
be
listed
and
treated
as
a
socio-political
construct,
such
as
black
negro,
colored
and
or
african-american.
Those
are
all
misnomers
created
in
colorable
form
by
various
members
of
congress
in
the
in
the
1800s,
walter
ashby,
pleckering,
eugenics,
society,
american
colonization
societies,
so
on
and
so
forth,
and
our
people
have
endured
and
ongoing
and
still
aren't
doing
the
ongoing
genocide
of
our
land
of
our
people
by
culture
and
our
heritage.
D
We
must
bring
these
things
to
an
end,
because
everyone
took
an
oath
to
support,
protect
and
defend
the
constitution
for
the
united
states
of
america,
all
your
city,
council,
members,
mayors,
etc.
We
expect
to
hold
you
guys
accountable
to
that
hope,
as
you
should
hold
yourselves
accountable
to
that
old.
I
know
you
guys
have
a
duty
to
run
a
municipality,
but
that
does
not
include
aboriginal
people.
Those
would
be
acts
created
an
ultraviolet
upon
the
city
of
pittsburgh,
and
that
cannot
exist.
D
It
would
be
a
direct
violation
of
our
right
and
I
constitutionally
protected
guarantees
with
that.
I
look
forward
to
working
with
everybody
and
having
these
meetings,
so
we
can
work
on
our
government-to-government
relationship
and
make
pittsburgh
a
better
place
for
all
of
its
citizens
and
aboriginal
people
alike.
Appreciate
your
time.
Thank
you
very
much.
Are
you.
E
Okay,
my
name
is
steven
stamey
and
I
have,
as
of
today,
lived
in
my
home
and
friendship
for
40
years
now,
when
I
moved
here,
this
area
was
all
crack
houses
and
houses.
Many
people
moved
here
and
helped
clean
up
the
crime.
The
filth
and
the
graffiti
people
did
the
work
it
takes
to
change
an
area
of
pittsburgh
for
the
better.
We
put
up,
stop
signs
where
there
were
none.
We
fixed
the
street
lights,
trimmed
the
trees
and
bushes.
E
E
E
E
Your
proposed
traffic
changes
are
ridiculous
and
dangerous
and
would
eliminate
much
of
the
existing
parking
blocking
the
streets
and
making
them
narrow
is
not
going
to
allow
for
school
buses,
ems
trucks,
fire
trucks,
ambulances
and
so
forth.
Access
to
aldi's
needs
delivery
trucks
which
the
city
council
voted
for
had
a
huge
hearing
about
it.
The
roads
are
too
narrow
for
normal
traffic
even
now,
and
and
with
or
without
parked
cars.
E
City
council
just
approved
three
new
apartment
houses
and
office
buildings
at
this
intersection,
and
over
top
of
all
these,
and
since
none
of
them
have
any
parking
they
will
park
here
in
friendship
and
in
front
of
my
home,
the
people
proposing
these
traffic
changes
and
do
not
live
at
this
intersection
and
won't
have
to
look
at
it.
Every
day,
bill
peduto
likes
likes
this
and
deb
gross
helped
them
plan
this
behind
the
citizens
backs,
maybe
put
it
in
front
of
their
home.
F
E
Plenty
of
room
over
there
and
they
don't
have
a
gigantic
sewer
culvert
down
below
it.
They
want
to
paint
this
on
top
of
the
largest
sewer
culvert
in
the
whole
east
end.
I
think,
maybe
use
this
money
to
actually
help
children
who
are
hungry
and
in
danger
stupid
ideas
from
stupid,
uninformed
people
that
have
not
done
their
due
diligence
do
not
know
what
they're
doing
and
do
not.
B
Thank
you
very
much.
There

no
more

Bill
number
632

amending

which
authorized

G
Mr
president,
mr
yes,
I
just
wanted
to
thank
councilwoman
gross
for
632,
recognizing
the
language
that
she
felt
needed
to
be
changed
in
that
I
think
for
the
most
part,
in
the
sake
of
transparency
more
than
anything,
but
she
could
probably
speak
to
that,
but
you
can
always
count
on
comes
woman
gross
to
look
at
the
finer
details
and
to
recognize
that
and
strike
that
from
the
bill.
Thanks.
B
F
Thank
you
the
so
we
were
able
to
have
consensus
with
the
administration
on
the
language
amendments,
but
there
still
is
a
further
issue,
so
I
just
wanted
to
let
council
members
and
the
public
know
that
this
piece
of
legislation
neither
requires
nor
forbids
the
administration
from
embedding
the
redirecting
of
funds
inside
the
contract
language.
F
F
Vendor
doesn't
care
how
city
council
allocates
funds,
and
so
we're
still
actually
having
that
conversation
and
since
it's
we
can
pass
this
bill
without
because
it's
really
independent
of
the
contract
language,
I'm
still
talking
with
director
paulus,
and
he
needs
to
hear
from
the
city
solicitor
von
hilton
about
why
the
law
department
put
that
part
of
the
legislative
language
inside
a
vendor
contract
when
it's
really
just
about
which
depository
funds,
the
city
controller
deposits,
the
funds
to
right.
F
So
the
contract
language
should
say
how
much
the
vendor
is
paying
the
city
and
it
does,
but
then
more.
It
has
additional
language
that
I
think,
should
remain
legislative,
so
that
is
still
forthcoming
and
well,
you
know
again,
it's
not
it's
not
relevant
to
today's
legislation.
It's
related,
but
independent
of
it.

Certainly
during
this
pandemic,
like
all
of
us
have
I'm
spending
my
time
reading
in
prayer
and
thinking
about
the
future
of
this
country,
and
I
have
spent
my
entire
life
as
a
pastor
as
my
first
job-
and
I
have
been
that
continuously
now
for
36
years
and
as
I
read
our
constitution,
our
bill
of
rights,
even
the
things
that
we
talk
about
in
common
practice,
you
know
our
pledge
of
allegiance
written
by
francis
bellamy,
christian
minister,
we
talked
about
even
now
speaking
truth
to
power.
B
That
phrase
comes
from
of
the
quakers
resting
and
it
comes
from
deeply
religious
principles,
and
so
I
I
we
we
talk
about.
You
know
liberty
and
justice
for
all.
I
know.
Sometimes
I
get
a
little
heated
and
grangery
and
aggressive
when
I
see
injustice
and
justice
to
anybody
toward
me
to
anybody.
I
think
in
any
of
you,
but
I'm
actually
more
hopeful.
B
B
Sometimes
our
budget,
terry
items
is
going
to
be
difficult
conversation,
especially
in
the
pandemic,
but
I
am
most
hopeful
that
by
having
an
honest
conversation,
those
of
us
who
are
willing
to
to
sit
up
and
be
honest
about
our
positions
and
to
have
a
civil
conversation
in
public,
and
I
I'm
really
really-
and
I
will
I'll
say
that
over
and
over
again
whatever
we
say
in
public,
I
think
is
legitimate.
I
I
tend
not
to
get
angry
about
what
we
say
in
public.
B
My
anger
has
mostly
been
reserved
for
those
who
are,
you
know,
unable
unwilling
to
say
things
in
public,
but
do
things
in
private
and
secret.
I
think
that's
that's
the
enemy
of
the
of
the
city,
the
enemy
of
the
country
and
the
enemy
of
council
and
of
our
country.
So
I'm
hopeful
that
we
can
come
together
as
councilwoman
smith,
always
talks
about.
I
think,
by
having
honest
and
open
conversation.
B
This
is
not
going
to
be
easy,
we're
in
a
very
transitional
period
in
our
country,
right
where,
where
white
supremacy
racism
inequality
is
now,
you
know
that
conversation
is
open
and
it's
going
to
be
hard
for
us
to
have
it,
but
it's
the
time
to
have
it,
and
so
I
thank
you
for
this
opportunity
simply
share
my
thoughts.
As
I
told
you
a
few
weeks
ago.
I
will
continue
to
share
these
thoughts.
I'm
the
old
man
on
council,
I'm
in
my
my
13th
year.
B
I
think
I've
earned
the
right
and
I've
been
an
african-american
pastor
for
36
years.
I
have
earned
the
right
to
least
share
my
thoughts
on
the
condition
of
this
city
and
of
this
country.
Is
there
any
anything
else
from
members
seeing
none
I'll
have
I'll
ask
for
a
motion
to
excuse
the
absent
member
approve
the
minutes
and
during
the
meeting.
