Great
thanks,
Cory
and
thanks
councilman
I'll,
just
give
a
brief
remark
and
asked
floor
to
kind
of
provide
some
of
the
supplemental
details.
So
this
change
that
we're
requesting
is
a
bit
of
a
kind
of
an
administration
effort
in
terms
of
we've,
already
presented
this
to
Council,
but
didn't
present
it
to
the
Planning
Commission.
So
last
year
we
had
a
similar
type
of
not
a
similar
public
hearing,
but
a
public
hearing
on
the
measure
that
ultimately
received
Council's
approval.
E
The
the
genesis
of
the
bill
is
based
upon
the
existing,
improving
the
existing
standard
that
we
already
have
in
the
code,
which
calls
for
a
LEED
Silver
requirement
for
city
facilities
and
that
zero
requirement
will
basically
enhance
the
sustainability
efforts
and
help
us
further
our
energy
efficiency
and
renewable
energy
goals.
So
Net
Zero
is
kind
of
an
improved
upon
standard
beyond
what
the
prior
kind
of
LEED
Silver
standard
that
was
passed
by
Council
and
administered
by
the
city.
E
Prior
to
this,
it
will
also
kind
of
allow
us
to
kind
of
advance
projects
without
the
requirement
of
having
a
paid
plaque,
if
you
will
under
the
LEED
requirements.
So
the
Net
Zero
standard
is
is
all
about
the
performance
of
the
building
and
not
necessarily
just
meeting
kind
of
a
third
party
standards
required
criteria.
F
F
Yes
sure
my
name
is
from
Mariana
and
I
reckon
disability,
resiliency
vision
and
I'm
the
energy
advisor.
When
we
passed
the
climate
action
3.0.
We
set
the
objective
to
reduce
the
city
energy
mission
by
50%,
and
if
we
want
to
achieve
those
goals,
we
have
to
improve
the
way
we
below
building
which
we
got
to
energy
efficiency.
So,
by
making
those
adjustment
to
the
city
code,
we
are
able
to
set
those
performance
and
therefore
support
of
Public
Works
Department
in
a
achieving,
because
we
all
said
together.
B
Thank
you
all
for
your
work
on
this
and
now
counsel.
C
G
G
Here,
we've
been
working
with
the
office
of
sustainability
and
resilience,
Public
Works
and
the
mayor's
office
on
a
number
of
sustainability
topics-
and
you
know
this
legislation
that
we
we've
worked
closely
with
Grant
and
Floor
2
to
move
forward
is
an
amazing
leap
forward
to
make
sure
that
the
city
is
making
responsible
investments
in
its
buildings.
You
know
doing
doing
this
and
moving
to
a
Net
Zero
standard,
not
only
to
Grant's
point.
G
I
think
there
are
a
few
challenges
that
lie
ahead
and
seeing
this
vision
through
I
think
particularly
along
making
sure
that
there
are
either
the
financing
mechanisms
in
place
to
make
sure
that
these
NetZero
projects
can
happen
or
further
making
sure
that
capital
budget
is
set
aside
to
make
them
happen,
and
we
look
forward
to
continuing
to
support
that
work
working
with
with
Grant's
office
and
others
in
the
city
government
and
we're
excited
to
see
this
move
forward.
So
thank
you
all
for
your
time.
Thank.
B
C
Okay,
we
do
have
four
people
that
submitted
written
comments
that
we
have
shared
with
council
I'll
just
mention
their
name,
a
step
in
winning
off
I
have
Megan,
Ziegler
and
I
have
a
written
statement
from
Beth
econd
rod
and
Craig
Stevenson.
So
we
have
four
that
we
received
that
we
have
shared
with
Council.
Thank.
B
B
H
Well,
I
was
just
going
to
say:
yeah
I
was
just
gonna
say
it
does.
I
know
you're
asking
a
clerk,
but
I'll
send
something
say,
but
it
does
come
through.
My
committee
for
Lena
Houston
economic
development,
but
I
was
also
just
gonna.
Ask
other
just
like
in
you
know,
since
I'm
rather
new
to
this
I
just
want
understand
what
are
the
physical
changes
that
will
actually
see
to
the
building's
for
this
sustainability
program.
F
Be
more
insulation
in
some
places
in
my
ad
installation
inside
or
outside
of
the
building,
so
we'll
just
make
it
look
new
and
then
better
technology,
so
that
it
gives
you
might
be
smaller
because
we
make
better
envelope.
So,
therefore,
the
system
will
be
smaller,
also
making
more
space
inside
the
building
on
this
on
the
edge
backside.
Did
you
do
you
mean
something
else
by
physical
answer?
Your
question
I.
H
F
The
technology
is
always
improving
for
windows,
so
they're
making
a
window
performing
window.
That
looks
more
and
more
like
historical
widows
in
the
in
some
case,
when
the
window
are
too
difficult
to
replicate,
they
can
time
they
can
find
work
around
that
by
having
this
legislation
is
pushing
air
to
to
look
for
those
work
around
too
much.
The
potential
historic
era
promise,
while
still
working
and
improving
the
building
in
every
way,
any
way
possible.
